Or should I say "ah-maazing" in Rona Thorne's voice? This was an Archer fan's dream. We were treated to staged readings by the cast, clips of extras from the DVDs, previews from season 4, and a Q&A session. It would have been nice if it were a bit more structured so that they would squeeze more in. 90 minutes was not enough! Hopefully there will be more events like this in the future.

So, essentially what you get is this: actors that voice some of the characters sitting around and chatting, the executive producer (at least at my location), some Archer cartoon action, and a surprise concert from the woman who sings for Cherlene accompanied by Drivin' N Cryin' (again, at least at my location). They come out, do a bit or two, have audience members come up to re-enact a scene, and answer questions. Maybe it's because I live in ATL, where we have Dragon*Con every year, but I was a little disappointed with what was on offer. This was pretty much your standard panel at any big Convention event, though obviously without all of the other perks/entertainment on offer at one. It was a little all over the place - too much Lucky Yates, too little Chris Parnell (with the exception of a cringe-worthy skit starring Cyril that name-checked every Atlanta institution you might expect, perhaps as if their simple mention was supposed to garner laughs), and Aisha Tyler pretty much carrying the whole thing and injecting the most life into it. H. Jon Benjamin was pretty good - at least he successfully tried fanservice more so than anyone else - but quiet for most of it. They don't really have good show stories since they record in isolation and sometimes on opposite coasts. They took maybe 6-7 questions and actually answered a couple of them. Before you know it, it was over. I did get a couple of laughs and it was neat to see the cast members, but I wouldn't say it was worth the price of admission (and certainly not admission + parking). Maybe my hopes were too high for what you can actually do in a live event focused on an animated show or maybe I've been spoiled by the better panels I've seen.

I like Archer but I wasn't sure what to expect from a live show. However it turned out to be a really great experience. There's a live country set before the show which was nice. When the cast came out, they kept the crowd entertained. They were all really hilarious, my head was hurting from laughing so hard. There were some hight points: The audience participation and the unseen footage. I would highly recommend anyone whose an Archer fan go see this. I'm not even a die hard fan, but I had an awesome time. And my sister and I got to meet Aisha Tyler after the show. She was even gracious enough to take a picture with us which made it a perfect night. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the random, lame-ass hecklers in the crowd. These losers kept yelling things out and it was distracting. I guess it's out of the show's control but it was super annoying at times. But still a great show.

I'm a big fan of the FX animated series, Archer. It's strangely sophisticated blend of raunch and high brow humor makes it, for me, one of the most entertaining comedies on television - animated or otherwise. So I was psyched to read that Archer Live would be coming to the Chicago Theater. However, the entire effort seemed quickly cobbled together. During Pre-show a large screen displayed graphics and a live feed of texted questions for the audience. However, this display was apparently not designed for a large venue. The graphics were difficult to see and the text practically impossible to read. The show itself was lackluster with the assembled cast sitting on stage talking over each other and drinking whiskey straight from the bottle. Were they trying to appeal to the "every man" or overcome their embarrassment at a poorly produced show?

this show has a mountain of potential to be amazing but the fact that it is a malay of talking, disorganized humor, and not the best actual thought out entertainment makes it hard to not be a little disappointed. I LAUGHED so hard at times and there were whole swaths of time that were a complete waste. I would have loved more stories about making the show. Funny things that happen between the cast when at conventions or on tour together. Great ad lib sessions. Maybe have a writer on stage with them. Each of them individually was great and together they were good but the overall product was a tough sell.

I had no idea what to expect going in to this event. The cast is unbelievably funny both in and out of character. The audience participation was fantastic. It was like a hybrid stand-up/panel discussion/live table read. There were a few parts where the audience got a little quiet because things became a bit too drawn out and/or dry, but the cast recognized that and immediately switched gears to keep everything fun and lively. There was a very loose format that they were adhering to, and you could tell by the looks of the producer and the security staff, when things went off on a tangent and they became worried that things were going to take a bad turn, which made it all the better for the audience and the cast!

unplanned, tedious and boring, this was a huge waste of 60 bucks. all the talented people (Walters, Parnell) were wasted while Aisha Tyler wouldnt stop talking. The whole thing was chaos, sound and tech cues were a mess, and i wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

My boyfriend and I didn't know what to expect from this how but we left laughing and satisfied! Although it seemed completely unscripted and haphazard, we didn't stop laughing once! The whole cast was incredible and the audience involvement/participation didn't end. From questions and prizes to tee shirt throwing, we were always involved! This show was great and we couldn't be happier to have attended!

Very disappointed in the cast and producers. The show was sloppy, disorganized and at times disrespectful to fans. The doors were supposed to open at 7, but the had us line up around the block for an hour instead of letting people in - and seating was already assigned! Then the venue had us line up again inside! The audio and video portions of the show were poorly managed and the cast was phoning it in.

I definitely laughed a lot during the event. But I was still disappointed. In total they only did five scenes from the show, during a two hour event. It was very unorganized. Which would have been fine if they just had more material and could go on longer. They also played a bunch of clips from the dvd which anyone can see. And after playing the clips a banner would appear, promoting the dvd. I'm already paying for the event I don't want ads thrown at me.

Let me start out by saying I'm a huge fan of this show. I also like to the venue and saw Tim and. Eric live there a little over two years ago and enjoyed that performance. Archer live on the other hand was a lackluster show that felt haphazardly thrown together. There were very few scene readings, some interactive bits with the crowd that were so-so, and a bunch of stuff shown on screen I've either seen or willl see next week on TV. Overall I would not reccomend this show to anyone.Wish I didn't spend money on tickets or waste money and time commuting an hour and a half into Manhattan.

The Archer cast is a hoot. Those guys are all gifted comedians in their own right, but put them all on stage together and it's a bit of magic. It's no wonder the TV show is as good as it is with such talent behind it. Lots of laughs, a bit of behind the scenes info, and a sneak peek at the new season of Archer...worth seeing!

I wasn't sure how good this was going to be given that these folks were voices for a cartoon and the format for the event was a little loose. However, if you like Archer at all this is a must see. The group was hilarious and encouraged crowd interaction and I even got to meet them after the show.

If you're a fan of the show, you'll love Archer Live! It was a lot of fun to see the cast on stage together. There were only two things missing, Jessica Walter and Judy Greer. It as also nice to see native Tennessean and SNL alum, Chris Parnell. Jon, Aisha, Amber, Lucky, Chris and Adam were all great and Lucky's trivia session that just so happened to be solely on his character, Dr. Krieger, to warm up the crowd was hilarious. It was well worth every penny paid.

If you like the show "Archer" because of its efforts to push boundries and work in subject areas that appeal to everyday individuals, then this is a show for you! If, however, you like the show because it is an intelligent show that with clever dialogue and interesting commentary, then this show is a bust. As far as I could tell, it was little less than a way to push additional DVD sales--the cast had little energy and seemed less-than-interested, and the show seemed centered more on firing a few t-shirts into the crowd than providing a unique experience to audience members. At best, the show seemed to try to appeal to the lowest common denominator (jokes about genitalia, gay jokes, etc.), and at worst made no effort at all--I'd rather just buy the Blu-Rays and get more for less. To be fair, a small (but significant) portiion of the crowd was drunk and loud and interrupted multiple times (and embarassed me as a Nashvillian), but I don't know that the show suffered all that much from their actions. Overall, disappointed, but it may be great for some--just not me.

I had a blast at Archer Live! Was curious what a live event based on a cartoon could be like, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. My only real critique is that Jessica Walter was advertised to be there, and I was REALLY the most excited for that. She wasn't there . . . :(

The show was wonderful. A great mix of script readings, bonus content clips, and improv. The audience participation was unexpected, yet well incorporated. I had a great time! I don't think I've ever heard "Danger Zone" that many times before. My only complaint is that I wish it had been longer. I was just over an hour and I was hoping for between 1.5 and 2 hours.

I had no idea what to expect going into the Ryman for Archer Live. What I was presented with was absolute comic gold. Between Aisha Tyler and Lucky Yates' amazing crowd banter, Chris Parnell and Amber Nash's unmatched comic timing and H. Jon Benjamin's sterling (Pun intended) voice and lovable demeanor, this is a show that I would recommend to fans of the show and just comedy in general. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with my experience.

I bought my tickets months ago without reading any of the reviews because I love the show and have never missed an episode. shortly before going I started reading the reviews about how the cast mailed it in, they were drunk, the show was unorganized and juvenile. other reviews were all about how people loved it. I have to say if you're a fan of the show, then you'll love it. being apprehensive after reading negative reviews, I ended up being thrilled with the experience. and other reviewers were right, it ended too soon even after almost 2 hours. maybe the other audiences weren't as animated (ha) as ours. the cast was engaged with us throughout and it was wonderful. seeing them together, when they don't even voiceover together, was really remarkable. I find myself saying to a friend how "Krieger" (Lucky Yates) was the best, but then right after I've said it, I think well the others were great too. and the next time i'm talking about it i'll find myself saying someone else was the best. they were all so good. if you're reading this review, you are probably already familiar with what the show is like, but several people in the audience were picked to go up on stage and at the end it was announced that anyone who got a t-shirt should remain in the auditorium. I don't know what else they got, but it sounded promising. I would absolutely go again and the new episodes for the upcoming season that we saw were so funny. I discovered when I got home that I had mascara lines from the corners of my eyes. I knew I was laughing so hard I was crying, but it was funny to have it confirmed in the mirror. don't let the haters stop you from having a great experience.

There was not a clear explanation as to what the show was to be. My understanding was a live play and that wasn't it at all. And for the price of tickets the show was very short. Yes I did enjoy it but it was NOT worth the money! The extent of the show was playing parts of shows on a big screen and some of the characters were there to read the dialogue. Not all the main characters were even there however it would not have increased my interest.

At first when they joked the cast was doing coke in the back, it was funny, but now I'm pretty sure it was less of a joke and more of a warning. There were some good parts - the audience involvement and dvd extras, but aside from that it was like watching a couple of frenemies argue between themselves over who is funnier. A majority of the show was seriously painful to watch - I had purchased 4 tickets for my brothers birthday so nobody wanted to just get up and leave but at around $60 a ticket with fees, I honestly excepted something I at least didn't regret going to.

First off, let it be know I'm a huge Archer fan! I watch the show religiously and own all past seasons on BlueRay. Archer is one of the smartest and most hilarious shows ever created. With such a talented group of writers and comedic actors, I can't figure out why they put no apparent effort into Archer Live. Here's a quick review of the show: Extra footage and special feature video clips of which the majority are already on the dvd's. The cast getting drunk on stage and making sh*t, a*s hole, and d*ck jokes reminiscent of 13 year old boys. And to fill in the obvious lulls, shooting t-shirts from an air cannon into the crowd. Beyond that, there was a bit of trivia and a few live reads from past episodes that were somewhat funny and a some Q&A that could have been interesting if the cast wasn't already drunk and could have answered the questions seriously without the omnipresent sh*t, a*s hole, and d*ck jokes. Bottom line - this show relied on humor most fans have already seen and most of the cast appeared to be there for the paycheck only, with no real desire to entertain, discuss or celebrate the making of Archer. At most this show offered 10 to 20% new content and was an offense to the Archer Fans; especially when you consider they charged about $50 per ticket and performed at a top historic venue like the Chicago Theater. The value of this show was about $10 per ticket that would have been better received at a general admission, beer and concert venue.

It was way cool to see a lot of the main characters from the show. I LOVE H. Jon Benjamin, I have since first hearing him on Dr. Katz many years ago, but I was hoping for some more from him in the show. I guess I was kind of expecting a little bit of stand up from Jon and Aisha Tyler. I realize that that is not what was promoted, but I was hoping. Also, the show was way too short. I wanted more, more, more! Lucky Yates was really funny. Loved him. I am also a huge fan of Chris Parnell, not just from Archer, but from SNL and 30 Rock. I guess I wanted more from him as well. Maybe my expectations were too high. Anyway, it was a good show. It just seemed too short.

Be prepared for an unorganized show. The cast didn't take much seriously and used too much audience participation. Fans went to see Archer, Lana, Pam, Kreiger, etc. not someone from the audience read their lines. They couldn't even answer the questions from the audience with seriousness. Lots of talking over each other, too. Oh yeah, and the t-shirt cannon embarrassment. This could have been great because all are obviously very talented. If you are a big Archer fan and you do go don't expect much.
