The Purple Xperience

Saw His Royal Badness twice back in the day, and this was the next best thing! Great to see a tight band with a perfect frontman run through Prince's biggest hits (up through c. 1992; his more recent work was left out of the equation). Definitely captured the spirit of a Prince concert, with audience participation and a breathless pace. And they have Dr. Fink, Prince's Revolution-era keyboardist, so there is a literal connection to the man himself. Great show!

Marshall Charloff did an amazing show can't wait to see if he comes back next year defiently going back great performer!!!

Had an amazing time, will be back next year. The staff was great and the Purple Rain drink was tasty!

Great Lead Singer, tight band, and the fact that an original member of the Revolution is on stage gives it more authenticity. Great Show!!!

I had so much fun that yesterday I bought tics to see them again in St. Charles, IL in August. We drove 185 miles one way to see the show in Springfield, IL on May 28th. It was so worth the drive and getting home at 4a.m. We just loved the show and the musicians. The warm up band "Off The Wall" was super too! Thanks to all the band members on Saturday night.. I will not forget this event in my life!!!!!!!!!!

This show was really amazing...going in, I didnt know what to expect but i was very impressed....everyone did an amazing job

Totally a fun night.. the band is really spot on and the energy in the room was amazing, we went in with very limited expectations, and they blew us away! Vocals were excellent and lead singer Marshall was a perfect Prince for sure! The music was fantastic and that MotorCity Soundboard system is a Killer.. have never been to a show there that didn't sound perfect through the "house" PA.. Overall, we can't wait to see them again! A+++ for sure

What started as a " we will hear a cover band do price songs" quickly turned into OMG these guys are playing the hell out of these price songs. So good. The singer sounded like Prince, although his voice was shaky through some songs. Quickly made up for it by playing keyboards and guitar beautifully. Went deep into the B sides with 17 days and how come you don't call me anymore.

The band was great they were very entertaining and kept the audience engaged.

If u liked or loved prince. You will enjoy the night tremendously They did him right by honoring prince with a great copy Super musicians. Original band member Authentic - kind - talented. Go go go

If you are looking for a fun and energetic night out then this is the show to see. My friends and I danced and sang throughout the whole show. Definitely would go and see them again. They really show their love and respect to Prince.

My first time at this venue. VERY nice. Tables and chairs, easy access to parking and food. Definitely would go to a concert here again. The Purple Xperience was incredible as they always are! Drove 2 1/2 hours to see them again. Drove the next day another 2 1/2 hours to see them. Trust me, if you're a Prince fan, you have GOT to see these guys!

I was blown away by how much he sounds like Prince. Close your eyes and imagine what it would have been like to see him in concert. He has so many of the moves and gestures down!!

Saw this band at Jackpot Junction in Morton MN on 4/29/17. They did just a GREAT job. I was truly impressed. Being a big Prince fan, I wasn't sure I'd like them or leave feeling disappointed. I can tell you for sure, they did Prince justice. The band doesn't stray far off the original versions of the songs, and I prefer that. I have seen other Prince tribute bands, but this one is far better. Good job guys!! Keep the Purple going.

It was Phenomenal! It was a feel good experience from beginning to end! There were black, white, yellow and polka dot people there, old and young and everyone had an awesome time partying TOGETHER! We cheered everyone on during the crowd participation segment, dancing in the aisles, singing off key and even the impromptu marriage proposal. It was a together moment that everyone shared as a group, not individuals. I would see this show again and again! It was definitely an unforgettable experience. The guys in the group/band were so talented and delivered beyond expectations and "Prince"- what can I say - O.M.G! He did his thing and did not disappoint! I left Detroit, MI on my way home to Toledo, OH looking online for another performance! Our seats were great, the venue was perfect and we partied like it was 1999! I LOVED IT!

First time seeing this show. the venue was small and packed but the show it self was terrible. we had 4 tickets and we left the show after the 4th song not sure how long it lasted but couldn't get out quick enough.

This impersonator certainly put a lot of 'passion' into his performance! I've never been to a celebrity impersonator performance that had so much love or energy! Highly recommend! Very talented band!

This was an outstanding show from top to bottom. The music was outstanding, and the wardrobe changes were right on for the era. There was some crowd involvement that was a great fit with a fun vibe to all of it. The meet and great was decent. Overall an A++. I would go again for sure, and will be watching for this to come around again next year.

Caught the Purple Xperience (a Prince Tribute Band) for the fourth time on Long Island and they just get better and better. They truly have the 79-87 material down almost to the core. Band is funky even without the Doctor. The truth..nobody is replacing Prince's voice...nobody but Marshall Charlofff does an excellent performance of trying to replicate the highs, lows, squeals and screams. He even cuts a split or two (not bad for a dude who played on 94 East) while gyrating to some of the dance classics like Kiss, 1999 and U got the look. He also does a beautiful..."Beautiful One"s and "Nothing Compares to U" sitting at the keys. The lead rhythm guitarist Tracey Blake evokes Dez, Sonny & Levi all in one show. His solo on "America" and "Little Red Corvette" were seriously on-point. Loved it! Ron Long provides some nice bass and "Mommy why does everybody have a ..."vocals that were spot on closing out the 1999 number. Ron Caron is an excellent world class drummer in true Bobby Z fashion and frankly I felt Cory Eischen sounded as good as the Doctor himself....Not only are these guys a tremendous tribute to Prince and his fans (I have been one since 1979 and saw P Live 45 times, front row 20 danced on stage once as well) they're genuinely humble and kind human beings! Go support them and close your eyes here and there and your back on the Dirty Mind, 1999, Purple Rain, Hit-n-Run Tours...Frankly you don't want to miss this as they truly bring it in true purple style.

Had the BEST time!!! As close to Prince as I ll ever get to again. So bittersweet. His look, mannerisms, the way he bats his eyes...... Ugh! Everything is Prince. Taken all the way back to my first concert ever in 1984 seeing Purple Rain concert 7th row on floor. Sang so many hits from all albums. I was in heaven from second he walked out on stage with blow pop in his mouth. Second time seeing Purple Experience and will go EVERY TIME they are here!

The Purple Experience was amazing from start to finish. Having seen Prince live in concert many times, I have to say this was a phenomenal substitute.

Music and performance level was phenomenal. Venue was great. Not a bad seat in the house. Will definitely be back for this show again. Plan to check out other acts at the Paramount as well. Just get there early because parking can be a challenge. The Purple Experience will not disappoint.

The Purple Xperience put on a great show. Very good selection of early- late 80s Prince hits. Marshall did a great job capturing the energy and spirit of Prince with several wardrobe changes and classic Prince looks. Overall a really good show and I look forward to seeing them again.

Had an amazing time with the Purple Xperiences at Turning Stone Casino. If you closed your eyes, you couldn't tell if it was the real Prince or not. The band was amazing and there was truly talented musicians performing on the stage. Will catch another show again.

Family friendly Prince tribute band. Great variety of songs from all periods of Prince's career...complete with amazing costume changes. Terrific band backing him up.

Purple Experience put on a great show and entertained for nearly 2 hours. Concert was scheduled to start at 7 and go to 10. We were a little concerned when two lead in bands played until 9:15, but Purple Experience came on at 9:30 and entertained non-stop until almost 11:30. The lead singer is built very much like Prince and does a good job imitating Prince. Everyone in the band is an accomplished musician. We had a great time.

Had a good time. The musicians were great, outfits and guitars - even the antics of Prince - looked authentic. The concert was great. My only complaint was that I felt there was a little too much funk. Stick to the famously known Prince songs, even the good "B" tracks. Focus more on the songs and experiences of the 1999 and Purple Rain albums, because after that, in my opinion, Price was never the same...and there was no longer the Revolution that helped propel him to the top.

It was very entertaining! There were moments you felt like he was Prince. He did an amazing job with his costumes and capturing Prince's personality. The band was great too! If Prince was on your bucket list and you missed it...go see this.

I went to this concert not expecting much, as I had read some bad reviews online. HOWEVER, it was FABULOUS! They did an incredible job on almost all of the songs. I was with a group of friends and we were all blown away by how much the lead singer sounded like Prince - even when he was speaking to the crowd. I saw the REAL Prince TWICE in concert. Nothing compares to him, obviously, but this bad is WORTH seeing. I will go again when they come back to Minnesota!! My only complaint is that they should have a "Wendy" and "Lisa" in the band. That would have been cool.

The entire concert was amazing. We loved the fact that the musicians has impressive playing experience and most had a connection to Prince.

Took my wife for a holiday get away and bought tickets for the show. The music was fantastic and the showmanship exceptional.

I purchased these tickets for my husband who is a Prince fan. I am not a huge fan of his music, but I still enjoyed the show. The venue was such a cool little room. The main singer had a ton of energy and put on a good show. He interacted with the audience, which made the smaller space even more of a personal show. At 1 point he gave the mic to a young lady in front of us and she finished singing the song while he ran back to the stage and played the keyboard. Whoever this woman is...she needs a record label. Anyone that was at that show can confirm that she had an amazing voice. My husband said that he would almost rather listen to her than the main singer. BUT he still put on a great show

What a great way to celebrate Prince near the anniversary of his death. The music was great and the song collection brought back many memories. His moves though? Ha! "Nothing Compares 2 U, Prince!" Overall a nice tribute :)

Incredible show!!! Loved how Marshall honored Prince by including some instrumental only songs, true talent and musician. Plus he had the sexy factor.....

I thought it would be hard to watch someone else perform like the Greatest ever, "Prince"!!! Once they performed, I smiled and felt good.. No one can ever be like the ORIGINAL ONE AND ONLY, but this group was extremely great!!! Keep up the Great work!!!

I must say I wasn't expecting much but my g/f wanted to go and since I'm a big Prince fan decided to go. The concert was awesome! The Purple Xperience played all the classics as well as sometimes it snows in April. Sad but great song. They played for 2 1/2 hours! The food was great as well. My only complaint would be and this economics, the place was packed. How they had the tables laid out were so close to one and another I'm surprised they fire code would allow it. More people more $$.

The purple xperience was just that, an experience. The show was great from the music to the impersonator and the band. One of the best shows I've seen. I would definitely go again.

The main performer had all of the mannerisms and idiosyncrasies that Prince had during his live performances. Tons of his older, non-religious, music and costume changes galore! This show was fabulous!!!

Band was excellent. Very professional very Las Vegas personality. RGV had never had anything like it. The McAllen Arts and Performance Center is state of the art. Easy Easy to attend. Nothing like other event ever in the RGV. Access was superb. Parking was ample. Will go again in a heart beat.

The Purple Experience was an awesome experience!! The lead singer sounded like Prince, had mannerisms like Prince, resembled Prince, and the band was excellent as well!! If I had been blindfolded, I would have thought I was listening to Prince himself. They did all of his hits, and really got the crowd involved! My husband, who isn't into music as much as myself, even said he really enjoyed this one and thought the Purple Experience does a wonderful tribute to the iconic Prince. We would definitely go see them again!! Well worth the cost of the tickets!! Thank you Purple Experience for keeping his music and spirit alive!!

My husband and I went to see the Purple Experience unsure of what to expect. We were both thrilled by the show and the performances of all the musicians. Great musicians, great vocals, and a great tribute to a legend.......Prince.

Truly amazing tribute to the greatest musician that ever lived (in my opinion). This was a great evening and homage to the legend himself. You will not be disappointed in this live tribute!! Great show and great bunch of guys to meet after the show!

This was the closest thing to the reincarnation of Prince. I get goose bumps every time I think about it! Absolutely a must see concert!

I had the pleasure of seeing Prince perform about a dozen times. Each time he was fantastic. I was reluctant to buy these tickets because I knew that no one could ever perform like Prince. However this group was able to replicate the party atmosphere he created when he performed. As a huge fan of Prince for some thirtys plus years, I really feel that they honored his memory and captured the essence of his music. From someone who was once a skeptic, I would now go to see them again. The whole band was awesome. The gentleman who portrayed Prince was simply outstanding.

This group was so good - I thought they were lip syncing !!!! The looks, the voice and the sound was GREAT! A very, very enjoyable evening! I was there w a "mature" friend of mine ... Cause us "mature" folk do some tribute stuff these days! He had seen Prince ... And he was also super impressed! Great nite - thank you!

Musicians were amazing particularly the Guitar and Keyboard players.. However.. There is a reason not that many bands want to do Prince because his uniqueness and showmanship goes beyond the instruments.. The music and technical aspects were well covered but the Prince aura and vibe was not conveyed to any reasonable standard as Prince the person is non duplicative

This was a full fledged concert, not just a cover band. The show was incredible. The band was so great and had so many solos that really made the show enjoyable. The Prince impersonator was spot on!

I'm sorry to say that I was REALLY disappointed with the show. The performer looked like Prince (from where I was sitting), but the sound was really off. I just think the sound is more important than the look. Also, the sound there is not that great. I had a hard time hearing lyrics and what performers were saying when they spoke.

I COULD WATCH THIS A FEW TIMES. GREAT FLOW TO THE SHOW.

This was an excellent performance, from beginning to end. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a Prince fan and I would go see it again.
