Expectations were high for the much awaited reunion performance of the Killros Friday night. Nevertheless, the Killros exceeded them all. From the first bar, the EQ and the mix were perfect. Instrumentally, the act was as tight as they have ever been. It was as if they hadn't missed a week of playing together since we last heard them years ago. The vocalists complimented each other perfectly and their harmonies were right on. Liana's stage presence was more powerful than ever. Who would have thought it possible that she should could exceed the memorable drama of her past performances? But she did. Wether she was two feet up in the air, or crawling on her knees to the edge of the stage with one hand reaching out to grab the air and embrace the emotion of the enamored fans below her, Liana never slid into a note or hit a note off key. Her ear for pitch, and her ear for opportunities of artistic expression that lead to her incredibly wide array of vocal inflections is remarkable. I'm not sure if the extra inflections are spontaneous or well thought out in advance. Whichever the case may be, they are always brilliant and demonstrate the remarkable talent of this consummate performer. Her interaction on stage with each of the gifted musicians must also be noted as part of her professionalism and perfect delivery.
