Governor's School for the Arts Anniversary Gala

What a thrilling display of collaboration across artistic disciplines! I felt as if I sat on the precipice of some new scientific discovery...watching the addition of the Visual Arts --via computer graphics-- interface with LIVE human beings as though they were old friends. The perfectly choreographed vision of the REAL girl releasing the VIRTUAL balloons...and dancers' feet providing sprouting leaves for computer generated growing trees--surpassed anything I have ever seen. All of this was further brought to life by the robust support of a professional cast of instrumental and vocal musicians. What an evening to remember!

The show was extradinory! A showcase of talent at the highest level. The orchestra, dancers, singers and actors were all performing at the highest level. Their performances were enhanced by the visual effects throughout the show. Any time you have a chance the see a performance or an exhibit of the students from the Governors Shool you should grab the opportunity. They are are students but you will be amazed at their talent and professionalism! They are Norfolk's gem!

The entire performance was great!!!If these students represent the future, we are in good shape.

Absolutely a marvelous performance by The Governor's School students and staff. A standing ovation doesn't say enough as to the quality of this show. What a pleasure to see the talent level on display by all departments and it shows what great results can be achieved when gifted students are placed in such capable hands at GSA. Bravo! Bravo!

It was my first time seeing a Governor's School performance. Even though it was shorter than expected, I loved it.
