I would recommend Joy to anyone wanting loads of laughs and who would like to forget their troubles (if they have any) for a while and even after the show as the good feeling from all that laughing lasts. I love the fact that she is so irreverent and no one is safe! If you love her on the View, you'll be crazy for her in person, as she can "let loose" like she can't on TV. She truly lives up to her name.

We were disappointed in Joy's delivery. We had hoped to see at least what we usually see on The View, and expected much more verve. The audience wasn't very kind or responsive and I think that put a damper on her performance.

I absolutely love her to begin with.....so going in i knew i would be happy. However I didnt know how well everything would turn out. The venue was amazing.....really not a bad seat in the house! Lighting, sound...it was all good. The bar area was great and easily accessable....I would definetly go to another show here!!!! And thank you Motor City for bringing such a good act to us!!!!!

She touched a broad array of areas to laugh about from her coworkers on The View and their guests to her family and friends, and to men"s and women"s relationships. You could hear the laughter throughout the venue.

Opening act came on around 8:00. The CC Melody Tent is in the round, he didn't understand that he was suppose to turn around and speak to everyone. His entire act was done to one section. The rest of us looked at his butt for 40 minutes (not a good view). Joy came on at 8;45 and was very good. She is funny, knew how to work the stage and crowd but seemed a little distracted. She used her notes (that's ok) but seem to forget what "stories" to tell. She only did ONE hour show!! We paid $50 each to see a one hour show. TERRIBLE. She was so good - it's too bad she didn't do more. I would not recommend her show unless she did at least 90 minutes.

Joy Behar was very funny and we enjoyed it but the show was too short. It was an 8pm Friday night show and we were out by 9:30. Joy herself was on for maybe an hour. We thought for what we paid, etc. it should have at least been a two hour show. We would have liked more of Joy but if not at least a longer opening act or maybe two.

Joy was wonderful -- her humor is hysterical. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Joy has perfect timing with her jokes. My major complaint was that it was only one hour. I understand how difficult and tiring it must be to be on stage for a long period of time, but I felt I had been short changed. It took me longer to get to the venue and get out of the parking lot than the entire show.

I was incredible disappointed in her performance. I thought her material was very funny, if a bit dated (Clinton and Lewinsky) -- that was over 10 years ago! Joy seemed very unprepared -- shuffled her notes incessantly -- had no good rhythm to her act -- it was a lot of pauses, "what should I talk about next", etc. She was too low key -- it seemed like she was doing us a favor by telling a few jokes and stories -- didn't seem really into it. I would have liked a few more relevant stories, about more relevant people, than Paris Hilton and Tom Jones. I laughed, but not enough for $50 -- or to recommend her to a friend.

I, and my two daughters, had a great time at the Wilbur. Joy Behar is very comfortable in front of an audience. I can relate to her stories of growing up in an Italian-American household with all the familiar characters who helped shape who we are today. (How's YOUR Aunt Rose doing??) Joy talked politics, or should I say, the indiscretions of the politicians through the years. it's amazing that any government work actually gets done! (Really, Sanford, Argentina??) I, wholeheartedly, recommend seeing Joy Behar, if you get the chance. You won't be disappointed!

I remember Joy Behar from before The View, when she did stand-up. I had never seen her live, but had seen her perform on TV many times. I always thought she was absolutely hilarious. Last night she was funny, but not hilarious. She's very casual, which is nice. It's like sitting around with your funny girlfriend. One thing she did that bothered me was that she referred to notes throughout the show. She is a seasoned enough comic that she should be rehearsed and know her material. Having someone on stage referring to notes is just a turn-off to me. Don't get me wrong - she did have funny material. But she wasn't as quick and witty as I remember her.

So funny - I wish she had stayed on stage longer. The opening act was not as funny and the audience didn't really respond well to him - not totally his fault since this venue doesn't appear to serve alcohol so audience members need a while to warm up and start laughing. Once Joy came on, though, the audience went wild. Balcony seating quite steep; be careful if you are up there. Floor seating consists of a lot of tables and chairs that are very close together. All in all, would go to the Wilbur again for an event and would see Joy Behar again anywhere I could!

My friend and I both were looking forward to seeing Joy Bahar but we were VERY disappointed in the warm up act,he stunk and was totally wrong for this particular audience. Joy seemed to be rushed and totally unprepared!! We both know she can be much better. We could not understand why the young man for an opening was chosen. NOT worth the price of admission.

Joy's set was just so comfortable, if you were of like mind-which I am, that it was hanging with my GNO group. (Girls Night Out) I don't usually laugh out loud but this time I was laughing until I choked. I really wish Joy and I were friends, she would have me in stiches ALL the time. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the show. She seemed very distracted and kept looking at her watch. She first looked after she'd only been on stage for about ten minutes. She checked her watch about five times in one hour. Referred to notes quite a bit and just seemed to really not have any vision of where her jokes were headed.

Love Joy, but her new act needs some refining. She was a bit rambling, so there was no real flow or integration of her bits. Lots of " where was I?", " what do I talk about now?, and looking at her notes. Some moments of hilarity for sure, especially when she 's giving her unvarnished opinion of famous people. Not much in the way of new material though. The first act comedian was better. Sorry I don't remember his name, but he delivered a steady stream of laughs.

The intimate setting of the Melody Tent gave us a chance to see and hear her up close. Every part of her performance was funny. She's also smart, very friendly and seems to enjoy herself during her time on stage. I certainly would see her again at the Melody Tent and already have two more friends who want to come with me. Joy Behar was funnier and edgier than I could have ever imagined. Having seen her only on the View, I expected her to be as tame as t.v. requires. But Joy was over the top hilarious. Also, because of the View, I thought it would be all middle aged women in the audience, but I saw plenty of men and women of all ages and even some teenagers! You just have to love this woman. She is honest, real, down to earth. And you know what? She is actually beautiful! You can't tell on t.v., but in person, she was really gorgeous (not that that has anything to do with her show). I felt I got my money's worth and more. I definitely recommend seeing her if you have the opportunity.

If you want to spend a couple of hours laughing your *** off, then go see Joy Behar. As funny as she is on the View, she's even funnier in person. Her hilarious views of current events were spot on. She even took questions from the audience and talked about her family which we can all relate to. She even attempted to have a member of the audience adopt a dog from a local shelter which shows what a kind and generous person she is. The Wilbur Theater was a little cramped and I was stuck behind a huge heater/fan which wasn't too comfortable but once Joy got going, I forgot about it. I realize the theater is in the process of renovations so I really can't complain. If you're in need of a good evening out, please go see Joy Behar, you will forget your problems for a while....also wear Depends because you're laughing so hard you might have an accident:)

Joy Behar was great! I loved her stand-up routine. The last time I was at the Melody Tent was 30 years ago and it was fun to return. The opening act was good also. The only criticism I have is that the intermission between the opening act and Joy wasn't needed or appreciated.

THE SHOW WAS TERRIFIC. JOY IS VERY QUICK WITH HER HUMOR, AND HER DELIVERY IS WONDERFUL. I WISH IT COULD HAVE GONE ON LONGER BUT I KNOW THE SHOW MUST COME TO AN END. I WOULD GO AGAIN TO A JOY BEHAR SHOW. SHE WAS GREAT. WISH THERE WERE MUGS OR OTHER ARTICLES TO BUY.

Joy was wonderful... my face hurt from smiling/laughing the whole time. I was worried that my seats were not in front of the stage.. but Joy worked the whole room.. she is a master at her trade... and we would love to see her again
