Cirque du Soleil

I thought the proformances were amazing. The costumes and music were beautiful. And I loved the clowns, they were soooo funny. The only neggative was that I couldn't understand the story. In Kooza the story was very clear, this show I thought was about nature. When I read about it I was wrong. But an amazing show. A must see!

THIS SHOW IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT IS BETTER IF IS PERFORMED UNDER THE ORIGINAL CAPITOL ROOFING (CIRCUS TENT), NOT IN A STATIUM OR ARENA.

The singers were wonderful,from the moment the show started was a pleasure to enjoy and forget all your worries,all the actors were great.

Acutally, there really are no good words to describe Cirque. I was transfixed. Anyone even vaguely contemplating seeing the show should buy their tickets now! I loved it.

This is a must see....very well done and a pleasant surprise given it was in a minor league hockey arena in Bridgeport.

Cirque was thoroughly entertaining from the moment the show started until it ended! The music was amazing, the costumes colorful and dazzling, the performers had amazing bodies and their strength was awe inspiring, the clowns were incredibly silly and a pure joy to watch their antics - top notch show worth every single penny!

My grandaughter and I were absolutely amazed at the awe-inspiring talents of these phenomenal gymnasts and thoroughly enjoyed the performance - great family entertainment - would recommend it to everyone!

Alegria was an amazing show, very entertaining. There was never a moment when the show did not astound the audience, even the calmer pieces (like the interludes with the clowns) were entertaining. The two lead vocal performers (the white and black clad "divas") were astounding. If you have the chance, go see the show!

Alegria was a little strange but mostly enjoyable

Allegria had so much to offer in the way of acrobatics, comedy and unusual types performances....the fire twirlers were fantastic as well as every other venue.....the show is a "must see"....

It was a good show, as are all the Cirque shows, but I felt that the performers were holding back. It could have been because I went to the matinee. Anyway, there seemed to be quite a bit of time-filling. Still, two remarkable acts (if only they'd have been longer!) and an exceptional vocalist, as always.

This was the best show I have seen in a long time! Each act got better and better, and before I knew it I was on the edge of my seat! Perfect for kids of all ages!

This was an exceptional show and it was amazing to get caught up in it. The performers were spot on and it was very exciting! Definitely will see the next show to come through!

Our evening at Penn State Bryce-Jordon center was a memorable event. From start to finish the timing and extraordinary talented people never ceased to amaze me. I marched with the opening scene, remembered my childhood with the clowns, and stared in amazement as the performers seemed to free themselves from gravity.

Amazing talent, definitely worth the money to see!

This is the most amazing show we have ever seem and I highly recommend everyone to see Cirque Du Soleil at least once !! You won't be disappointed !

I bought tickets for my fiance and I. We were *5 ROWS* from stage. I Loved it because we could see how unique and how amazing the costumes were. Some actors came through and interacted with the audience which was great too. The only bad thing about the seats was having to look over and around people. During the second half we sat higher and this was great because you could see the whole stage however I liked being closer better. WHAT TALENT! I am an emotional support teacher and I love the song Alegria. I play it for my students each day. I with they would have opened AND closed the show singing Alegria I cannot upload photos. Taking photos are not permitted at the event. I wish I could have though.

This show is like watching ballet in the air. The breathtaking trapeze stunts are graceful and will leave you gasping in awe. The mime acts are whimsical, the clowns will tickle your funny bone, especially small children, their laughter could be heard through the center.

I have seen 7 cirque shows and still can't get enough. Alegria was another great showcase of talent. I would recommend cirque to anyone and everyone. Two thumbs up for sure!!

The event was amazing, we left with dry mouth from holding it open in sheer wonder entire show. There were moments that were a little slow that they tried to fill in with "clown things" and I understand they were getting ready to change the set or give them a rest, but that could have been better. Overall, I will see a show like this again!!

Alegria was disappointing. There was more time spent on the clowns than on the actual show.I saw the La Nouba show in Orlanda Florida and it was fantastic. But this one was almost boring.There was probably only 15-20 minutes in the whole show that was "gymnastics" the rest was clowning around.

Very interesting.... there was fun, laughter and interesting stunts!! Very talented performers!!

This is the first time We saw this troupe and we were completely amazed. The performers were absolutely fantastic.

Very good. I have never seen one of these shows and I was amazed at the acrobatics. If you ever have a chance to see any of these - GO you will be amazed!

I took my 10 year old sons to this show and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The stage and costumes were elaborate, the music was spectacular, and the performances were breathtaking. I was worried that my boys would get restless, but their eyes were glued to the stage. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

I reccomend this experience to everyone. They are so talented that it was impressive to watch. I HOPE THEY RETURN NEXT YEAR. I WILL BE TAKING MORE PEOPLE.

Show was ok. Could have been better. Some of the comedy routines in between actual acts could have been shortened. Would have enjoyed more actual "tricks".

I loved every bit of this performance. I know my girlfriend did as well which is why I had purchased the tickets in the first place. We both had an absolutely wonderful time. It was worth every penny.

I can t even begin to describe how great this show is. I would definitely see it again if I had the chance. The only complaint that I have is that didn t last longer. Superb.

The Cirque Du Soleil show Allegria was a delight. My mother, sister and 2 little nephews went with me and all were amazed. I would recommend this or any of the Cirque Du Soleil shows to anyone of any age.

I want to thank the clowns for picking me to be their stooge for their act. I hope they enjoyed me pushing them apart. Would love to be able to contact them. I had seen the show before in the tent. The show was just as good in the auditorium.

Have seen four Cirque shows, Allegria is by far the weakest

I've been to Cirque Du Soleil's KOOZA in Washington, DC and Denver, CO, and loved every minutes of it; so for my brother's birthday, I decided to treat him and two other guests to the performance of ALEGRIA in State College, PA. KOOZA was amazing! The costuming, music, staging and lighting were extremely well-done. The variety of acts was presented at a good pace, keeping the audience engaged; and the strengths and physical abilities of the performers drew a constant stream of oohs and aahs from the audience. ALEGRIA, on the other hand, was a terrible disappointment. The show was 75% clown acts that sometimes dragged on too long. There were a couple acrobatic acts that were okay, but just okay. There was an abundance of "dead time," and nothing had the bang factor of KOOZA. Everyone in our group remarked that ALEGRIA seemed to be the "minor league" for other Cirque shows - let the performers hone their skills in ALEGRIA before they move up to the major productions. All in all, ALEGRIA is the poor cousin to KOOZA - it was a slightly boring two hours, watching a tattered, worn-out production that could use a LOT of new blood poured into it to honestly give the audience its money's worth. I spent $300 ++, thinking tickets to ALEGRIA would be an incredible birthday present. I should have gone to dinner and a movie instead. Come on, Cirque Du Soleil, breathe some new life into your older productions.

Alegria was amazing, this was our third Cirque Du Soleil show we have seen in the last two years and it was simply stunning. The cast of every show never fails to deliver a jaw dropping performance for every Cirque show. We highly recommend getting the very best seats you can afford, but choose between 4 - 5 rows back. If your RIGHT up front you spent a great deal of time looking up or you can't take the whole scene in. Being 4 - 5 rows into the front center section is the best because you are so close you can see every muscle and costume detail as well as take in the whole scene.

This show was wierd!!! The people that were doing the flips and things were good. Just the overall show was wierd.

Show length was longer than i expected, and it was truly amazing! The acts: aerialist, acrobatics, dancing... Everything was amazing! Worth every penny.

great show first time seeing a Cirque Du Soleil show and loved it, highly recommended.

Excellant!! - we had 3rd row seats and it was an incredible show - could see it again - so much going on, I'm sure we missed something!!

I had never been to a Cirque show before, but had of course heard all the hype. Mystere lived up to the hype and more. With great audience interaction, the show was fun, funny, and amazed everyone with their feats of acrobatics. The man-on-man rotating handstand had a lot of face to crotch action which might be uncomfortable for some, but was an incredible work of gymnastics. But what set this apart from any regular floor routine at the olympics was the creativity with which these gymnastics were displayed. If I had any criticism of the show it was that the theme didn't really make much sense. Whoever imagined the storyline, set design is clearly on acid or other mind-expanding chemicals. But honestly, you won't care if there is any sense to the parade of scenes and acrobatics. Its that good. Sit in the middle section. I was in row three, and while that had its own level of fun, it was sometimes hard to take everything in as things were going on in front, to the side, directly above, and sometimes behind me. Its incredible that someone could think of this and even moreso that there are athletes capable of doing it. Bravo!

Cirque Du Soleil quality, really amazing. Mindblowing performance, if your are in Vegas and you have some spare time, you should visit this one.

This show was incredible and enjoyed by both my husband and I, plus an 11 yr old boy. That is saying something!

It's slow with lots of ballet dance, but has sense of humor with other parts of the show. We enjoyed KA more than Mystere.

I was expecting an excelent show, but I was definitely surprising and a very good experience, my location alowed me to appreciate the tiny details like expressions, customs, secondary perfomances and on.. Very worthy.

This show was incredible. Great acrobats plus comedy rolled into one. This is definatley worth seeing and great for Adults or families.

Great show..simply amazing. I would highly recommend the show.

We opted for this instead of "O" because it was newer. While the acrobatics were awesome, there was no story line to follow, despite the fact that they billed it as a story. I've seen a number of Cirque performances and while I would recommend it, this was my least favorite. The fights were overly choreographed so that it wasn't as entertaining as hoped. Also I would strongly recommend that young children (under 10 years) go to this as there are some really morbid parts.

Ka was an amazing experiencing. We initially couldn't decide which Cirque Du Soleil to see. Ka was the right choice. The performance were incredible. The staging was creative and unbelievable. You have to see Cirque in Vegas. No touring show could match this. They can't duplicate the staging. Not to be missed.

I loved the show! Looking forward to it coming back in a nearby town!

Performance was very good. We have seen another road show at Myrtle Beach and this one was comparable. Noting that it is a road show, it was not comparable to the one we saw at Disney a few years ago, but the performers were just as good, but the show was not as complete as a permanent show performance. Seating at the Bryce Jordan was excellent and our guests really enjoyed themselves,

Cirque du Soleil managed to amaze me yet again with the arena tour of Alegria. The show was absolutely phenomenal! I managed to drag my best friend who insisted that she hated Cirque du Soleil to the show and she ended up LOVING it. She now is begging me to take her with me when we go see Ovo next fall in Washington D.C. The show was so wonderful, I could sit down and watch it right now over and over again.

This was the second show I enjoy from Cirque du Soleil, and they get better everytime. I spend half of the time looking at my 6 year old daughter face lighting up with joy and amuzement. I definetly recommend this to any family; it is an enrichment experience for kids. Keep up the good work.

Another outstanding performance. Amazing . The performers create an atmosphere as they become the part they perform. The performers hold captive the audience with their amazing talents. The music and vocalsare not only effectual but mesmerizing and transcending as the performance unfolds to tell the story. APPLAUSE APPLAUSE...The only thing greatly missed was the "BIG YELLOW TENT" with its intimate atmosphere. Looking Forward to the next show...

The performance from beginning to end was captivating, enthralling, mesmerizing and astounding. The performers were and are incredible. While I was greatly disappointed with the seats sold to us the performance itself more than made up for it. ANY of Cirque Du Soleil performances are highly recommended. I took most of my family as a treat to them and everyone from our 2 year old to our 62 year old was captivated. EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT!

Show was very good; attendance for a 5 pm Sunday show was weak, and seating was not good - we were up high, and there were many seats closer to the stage. It seems the ushers should have invited folks closer, to provide a better audience for the benefit of the performers. The show had some slow spots -clown antics; would have enjoyed a faster paced program throughout, with less time on these components

Amazing music and costumes with a cast of exceptional performers. While the show did not appear to have an overlying story or theme and thus lacked a "5 star" level of captivation, the separate acts were world-class and varied enough to make up for it. The transition acts (comedic clowns) were excellent as well. I would definitely recommend this show for anyone who has never seen Cirque.

ALEGRIA was THE MOST AMAZING music/dance/trapeze performance we've ever seen! We liked it so much that we saw it three times! We were lucky to be able to get front row seats two of the three times... Worth every penny!!! At one point, the main singer walked over and sang to our daughter Morgan during the performance. The second time we saw Alegria, the main singer gave Morgan the red heart-shaped balloon at the end of the show... It was very sweet! It was very very cool! We even had a surprise paper storm that was very cool, right into the audience! An amazing production all around, seemless music & visuals... AMAZING!! A MUST-SEE!!! It would be great if Cirque du Soleil returned to Happy Valley next year!!!!

Cirque Du Soleil is full of very talented performers who know how the take the audiences breathe away; waiting to see what is going to happen next! I would recommend Alegria to anyone and everyone to go see.

When it started we were all very worried...what the heck WAS that? the costumes were freakish, and the opening and silent skits were bizarre and incomprehensible, esp. the snow? (I attended with 3 teenaged girls...) However, the stunts made up for it all! The musicians were in sync with every act, and the vocalist was strong throughout. The trapeze artist was amazing!; her body was fluid with the air...the speed and height of the gymnasts, unsurpassed!; the strength of the guy on the parallel bar and in the spinning hoop, incredible! How was he not dizzy? ...the girls getting thrown in the air and landing on one foot on a 2" pole? unimaginable! the contortionists? Ouch, oh my--how is that even possible? the fire, the group tricks, all one of a kind. And the one skit we DID enjoy--the 2 clowns, the litle one was adorable; they were hilarious! A must see for anyone who appreciates the beauty, strength, and flexibility of the human body.

While the show was spectular from the costume perspective, the overall show had points where it really was not up to full Cirque potential. I fell a little let down after seeing Kooza in Baltimore. I took a friend and had really talked up Cirque and while she liked the show, I did not hear the words spectular, fantastic, etc., like I did when I took my daughter to see Kooza. The show was somewhat of a letdown! I paid full price for my tickets in June and then two days prior to the show received an email notifying me of offering the tickets at 40% off.

Alegria was a good show. I have seen other Cirque performance which were truly spectacular and innovative. I don't know if I have therefor become jaded. This show was certainly good and entertaining, but not spectacular. We had a good time. We were visiting our Freshman student on Parent's Weekend. But, we left the show wishing it had been just a bit better.

This was the first Cirque Du Soliel show my family has seen. We took my 15 mo. old daughter and she didn't move an inch during the entire show. She loved the lights, the performers, the music, which I believe was played live and not recorded. The show was fantastic. we saw a show mid afternoon on a Sunday which was perfect for families not looking to stay out till midnight.

I thought this show was very beautiful and entertaining in so many ways. I loved the singing, the music, the acts, the variety, the costumes, the talent!! The only thing wrong was it wasn't long enough. I could've watched another hour of it easily.

This was an amazing performance. It was well worth every penny. The dancers and gymnasts and performers were top notch. I have NEVER seen anything better! SPECTACULAR!

I have always been a fan of Cirque, but to actually see it for the first time, live, I feel so grateful! I am thankful that Penn State was on the venue. I have more conviction now and recommend Cirque to everyone, especially now since my friend is auditioning. I loved it!!

The costumes enhanced the acrobatic gyrations of the performers. The klezmer sounds of the band wove a commective thread thru the various acts. The clowns were very entertaining but the spoken words were hard to hear at time and could not be understand. That I could not understand or even identify the language was my only criticism. All of the acrobats were fantastic and the choreography was amazing during the tumbling trampoline routine and among the fire dancers. It was a thoroughly enjoyable performance.

I've seen several Cirque Du Soleil productions and this one is by far the funniest.

This is the 2nd Cirque du Soliel show that I saw and I absolutely recommend it. I live a rather frugal life, but to spend my money on something like this definitely worth it. You just cannot explain it; you have to see it. I'm not a sports fan at all - I feel they're overpaid, etc. But these individuals in the Cirque du Soliel shows are fantastic and they definitely put on a show!

Our whole family enjoyed this. It was spellbinding.Loved the experience,everyone is ready to go and join the circus!

I was very disappointed in this show. First, when I ordered the tickets during the pre-sale it was not clear how the stage would be set up. I ordered best available (and I did order on the very first day) and my seats were on the side. I was pretty happy about that until I realized that I was looking at the side of the stage. I feel like i was missing something beause the actors played to the front, not to the sides. I was also disappointed because the acrobatics were great, but i did not pay $72.00 per person to see a bunch of clowns filling in the time gaps. I do understand that the acrobats may need time for a costume change or a bathroom break, but the show started with the trapeeze, and then, these clowns came out for just as long as the trapeze artist was swinging around. I think that the clown acts literally took up half the show time. And, I honestly didnt get the point of the clown waiting for the train in the blizzard. How did that fit into the theme of the show? I feel that some of the acts were extremely subpar for Cirque Du Soleil such as the juggling. Juggling is neat the first time you see it. But I have been around for quite a while, and at this point unless you are juggling running chainsaws, you can leave the juggling out. Juggling ten balls just doesnt do it for me, even if you are standing on your head. I literally felt more entertained at the hibachi grill I went to after the show.

It was an awesome show, kept the audience alert with comedy in between each act..Very well put together, left with a feel good feeling and enjoyed the show immensly..I highly recommend it to everyone..

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME

This was my first Cirque du Soleil experience, and it will not be my last. Every act was memorable. Alternating from breathtakingly beautiful to heart-stopping to belly-laugh inducing - I loved every minute of it. I would recommend it to anyone with a heart that wants to feel.

This was our third show. We seen La Nouba in Orlando, Florida and Kooza in Baltimore, Maryland. Alegria's storyline was hard to follow, but the stunts and music were great. The clowns were extremely funny.

An amazing show!!! It was 2 hours of unbelievable entertainment. Suberb music, amazing acrobatics, and hilarious comedy plus exquisite costumes and out of this world showmanship!

The only thing we did not like was there was no indication or anouncement when the intermission began, the stage hands just came out and started working on the set. The audience was in a little dis-belief. Other than that the show was great...

The recent Cirque du soleil show Alegria on Saturday Oct.3,2009 was nothing less than sensational! Words cannot describe the amazing feats performed on stage. It is a combination of gymnastics,acrobatics,comedy, and more. This show sets a new standard for entertainment value. Highly recommended for all family members. A circus on steroids!

I have never been to this type of show before and was unsure if I would actually like it or not. My husband and I decided to get tickets at the last minute for our anniversary... I was more than surprised by how awesome the show was! We hope that Cirque du Soleil returns to the Bryce Jordan again in the future, we will be bringing a bunch of our family and friends so they can experience the magic!

WE WOULD GO AGAIN

It was the first time that I saw Cirque and it won't be my last!

I have seen the traveling shows Quidam, Kooza and now Allegria. I have yet to find a poor performance and this one is no exception. The costumes and clowns seemed more prominent than the previous shows I have seen. That does not discount the usual acrobatic fare that is Cirque Du Soleil which, again, was great. I recommend this traveling show to anyone within driving distance. The five star rating would go to Mystere in Las Vegas.

Have see this presentation a number of times on TV and have a VCR tape that's getting worn due to the many views. Nothing beats a live show, however. You will not be disappointed. Thrilled Cirque has adapted Alegria for arena shows and traveling to more locations.
