The bottom line is that we spent good money for a one-hour performance, including the one-song encore. Not a very good entertainment value, given the cost of tickets. Molly Ringwald has a good voice, a great selection of songs from the Great American Songbook , and an extremely accomplished trio backing her up. There was no opening act, so everything hinged on Molly. She delivered. Quickly. And left us hanging.

Molly is such a great performer! The venue was very intimate, and she belted out the standards!!! Her witty banter with the audience was so cool!

I have never been to the Starlight Room before, so first of all, that was a treat. It was a nice intimate setting for this kind of show: Molly Ringwald and a wonderful 3 piece band. I have been a fan of Molly since I was a teenager in the 80s, and so went to the show out of curiosity and for a night out. She sang well and was very sweet, funny and entertaining. I think if she didn't have her band and wasn't Molly Ringwald, she is not someone you would necessarily make a point of seeing, but the whole package was worth it. It seemed like most tables had a good view point and I was only 30 ft away. Had a few nice cocktails and a great evening.

This event was very entertaining. Molly looks amazing and has a fun personality. Her band was extremely talented...dare I say more so than her singing ability. I thought her singing was good, but not great. I think the novelty of going to see her outweighed her singing, but the overall show, venue etc. was really fun.

Molly looks very good, and one would instantly recognize her. Her singing is so-so. When she stays in her range, the songs are remarkably pleasant. When she tries to do Billie Holiday, the limits of her range become immediately apparent. Her ad lib comments reveal a ginormous ego. She refers to herself as a beautiful woman, a multi talented writer/singer /actor -- and it does not seem tongue in cheek. Her drummer was fantastic, her bass player OK, and her pianist absolutely horrible, out of time, hitting wrong notes all night long. Her final arrangement of Simple Minds' "Don't You (forget about me)" is best forgotten -- reminiscent of Bill Murray singing "Feelings" on Saturday Night Live. A pleasant enough experience watching and listening to a cute has been.

Enjoyed the show very much. Molly has grown up while our back was turned, and she sang thoughtful, intelligent songs to her adult audience, and it was great! Thanks to Society Cabaret for bringing her to The Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco.

She sounded and looked great. The band was also very talented. I appreciated that the venue kept the audience small and provided clear sight lines for all that attended.

Molly has a pleasant voice and a pleasing presence but her nightclub act is very ballad heavy and somewhat lackluster. When she did more uptempo numbers she began to shine but her current act was just not very exciting.

Molly Ringwald was wonderful, she sings great and she is very personable and entertaining. Her musicians were also fabulous. We enjoyed the Starlight room very much, a very classy venue for the event.

What can I say I love Molly Ringwald. I have grown up watching her movies. I went to work the next day and told everyone how amazing the show was. She was really engaging with the audience and she looks as if she hasn't aged a day. I thought she had an incredible voice and it sounds like they opened up a second show to accomodate her fans.

As always it is a unique experience and pleasure to watch and listen to any music at Jazz Alley... It is an up-close and personal connection to music you love. It's like a page out of the 60's minus the smokey bar effect, but with all the ambiance of style, creativity and slick cool daddy-O-Baby jazz! With Molly it was my curiosity that brought me in and she look great. I felt as if I was looking at someone right out of the 40's. Her voice was soft and pleasant but lack any real power and she seemed to be a bit pitchy at times, almost as if she was unsure of herself. Not a performance that was at the professional and musical skill level that I would expect at this venue, but because she was Molly Ringwald I imagine this was the reason she asked to perform. Don't get me wrong, she wasn't bad but not great.
