Took our 5-1/2 year daughter to see the play on Fathers Day. The smiles and laughters that the play brought to her was priceless. She, along with my husband & I, were mesmerized by all the characters. We enjoyed the interaction that the cast members had with the audience. Everyone was enjoying the show. After the show the audience was able to meet the characters and have their autographs. Our daughter told us while waiting in line "I've never asked for an autograph before but this is sooo exciting". Thank you to all the cast members (and those behind the hidden booth)!

YOUR CHILDREN WILL LOVE BRINGING HOME THEIR CAT IN THE HAT HAT. THEY LAUGH EVERY TIME WE ASK WHAT THEY HAVE ON THEIR HEADS. REALLY THOUGH, THE PERFORMANCE HELD THE ATTENTION OF OUR 2 YR OLD AND 4 YEAR OLD BOYS FROM BEGINNING TO END. CLEVER AND FUN AND COLORFUL AND MEMORABLE. ALWAYS FUN WHEN THE CHARACTERS, AS THEY DID, COME OUT INTO THE AUDIENCE AS PART OF THE SHOW, AS WELL AS MEET THE CHILDREN AFTER THE SHOW FOR AN AUTOGRAPH AND PHOTO-OP.

Great show! Lots of energy and super kid friendly. Show lasted about an hour and was perfect for my 4 year old. It is probably helpful for kids to have some familiarity with the cat in the hat because the story moves pretty quickly. It follow the story from the book.

It was super cute, but definitely directed towards a younger audience. My friend and I brought a 9 year old and it was pretty childish for her but it was cute and well done. Perfect length for the little preschoolers in attendance. . I felt it was a bit pricy for what we got... considering the cost, I expected it to be a little more kid friendly for a wide range of ages rather than only for pre-schoolers.

I thought the play was very cute. It was very kid oriented. The staff was very friendly. My daughter loves The Cat In the Hat Book and this was her first play. She enjoyed it and participated at the end with the interactive pretend play. She is usually very shy, so we were very happy to see her get up and particpate.

The play was engaging from beginning to end! In my opinion, the actor who played the Fish stole the show! His facial expressions displayed those that the puppet fish couldn't. It truly enhanced the performance. Humor was infused throughout which kept even the younger children interested (my granddaughter is 2). They included the audience by asking a few of them questions during the show, actors went out into the audience... It was true to the book and caused my granddaughter to run into the house asking, "Where's the 'Cat In The Hat' book"?! I look forward to more performances like this one. it was a true joy for us both.

I was extremely disappointed in the length of this show. Just 30 minutes. What a waste of time and money coming from the suburbs. They told one story and I thought they were taking an intermission to start the next story and low and behold...that was it.

I understand that a show geared for children needs to be able to keep their attention but a quick show was not worth the $32 I paid for each ticket. I stood longer in line with my daughter to meet the cast than the actual performance lasted.

It was an enjoyable show. My 4 year old was enthralled. The fish was really good very impressive. Not too long. Waiting at the end to meet the cast was a pain, a little badly organized with no order to the line. Would recommend it!

the theater is smaller and more intimate for a children's play. The actors ran around the theater and brought the show out to the audience. Also there was a nice interactive activity with the kids after the play.

We loved this show! My daughter is almost 2 and loves the Cat in the Hat, and 2 days later, she's still talking about it!! I read a review about how it was only a half hour show and was concerned if that would be worth the price. A half hour was just the right amount of time before the little kids got too antsy and the show was entertaining the entire time. It was full of content and humor. Even the adults laughed out loud at some of the scenes. My favorite part was that they did autographs at the end. My daughter got her book signed by all of the characters and had a picture taken with the cat. She may be too little to remember actually going to the show, but the autographs and picture will be something for her to cherish. In addition to the excellent show, the venue was just as impressive. Parking was simple (and discounted with a validated ticket). When we arrived at the Broadway Playhouse, we were immediately greeted and directed to which door we would enter, where the restrooms and refreshments were, and shown the tables with coloring activities for the kids. I was impressed with how prepared and accommodating they were and I plan to go back to the same venue for another children's show in the future!

The play was done well but very short and simple for the $. Especially when you add downtown parking (and, although validated was available for $11, it wasn't advertised on the website so I didn't know). I expected a bit more. Good first theater experience for my 4 year old but I felt I spent a bit much on the day.

My husband and I found the play cute and true to the book but our four year old granddaughter didn't care for it at all. She said it was too loud and terrible. My interpretation is that she was too young and didn't understand the story or get the jokes. Oh well, that was a hundred dollars wasted!

While the quality of the show was well done, we were shocked at the short length of the show. It was exactly 30 minutes which for the cost and the expectation was ridiculous. The show was scheduled at 10 am. It started 5 minutes late, ended at 10:35 and was followed by a 10 minute introduction of cast and question/answer session. Extremely dissapointed. Would not attend another show at this theater. Felt cheated.

The energetic cast brought this production of the Dr. Seuss favorite to life. The Cat was appropriately antic, aided by Thing 1 and Thing 2. Sally and Nick were nice '50s kids who made a mistake of opening the door when their mother was out. The puppet of the Fish (and his puppeteer) however stole the show. Fish had a great dream sequence in the beginning, using nautical songs known to the largely young audience, to establish that he too could have whimsical moments. Later, Fish supplied the worried moral voice of the play, much like a Greek chorus, telling the audience--and Sally and Nick--what the rules were that were being broken. The energy of the cast and well-choreographed silliness kept the audience on the edge of its seats. Following the play, the moral (responsibility) was explored by the cast and later they made many young fans happy with an autograph session. I went with a 4-year-old who was entranced throughout.

The play was short and sweet, the right length for little ones. By little, I mean younger than mine, unfortunately. I took my just-turned-7-year-old to see it and she was too old to appreciate it. I think the age rating of 3 to 10 that I saw is too generous. I would say this is more for ages 3 to 5. It was nice to see something that didn't blow our eardrums, though, after seeing Blue Man Group the day before. There was a bit of the actors coming into the audience, but only down the aisles and they didn't get in anyone's face and they didn't wear scary costumes, so even the shiest of little ones ought to be okay. (The "fish" does run around the theater at the beginning of the play; I think for sensitive kids, that might be one of the most intense parts of the production, but really, I'm thinking most 3 year olds ought to be able to handle it.) Nice opportunity afterwards for photos and autographs with the actors. I felt that it was a bit expensive for such a short production, but I also think part of the problem is that my kid was just too old to really care much. Bottom line: It's cute for ages 3 to 5.

45 minutes of bright colors, clear and familiar dialog straight from the book, and imaginative staging that kept us clapping - laughing - and singing along. Brought 2 little guys - ages 21/2 and 41/2. Was a little concerned the younger one would struggle to sit through it but ... NO WORRIES! At the end, both boys gave me their 2 thumbs up! Perfect 1st Broadway experience for my grandsons. We will be back : )

I don't normally review things but I must say this was great!! I took my 5 and 8 year old nieces and was amazed at how engaged they were. The players were wonderful at this and I was really pleased with the way they interacted with the audience keeping all ages entertained. Not easy to do with an audience of children ranging in ages from merely months (too young for this) to 65! Highly recommend this as a way to start your children on the path to enjoying live theatre. They will love it.

Fun event for kids! We went with out two daughters (ages 6 & 3) and they had a great time (so did we). The show was right out of the book, but with some fun extras. The show was about 40 minutes and then they had a little "Cat Chat" time to talk about responsibility.

Our 2 grandsons sat spellbound and Grandpa, who's NOT a theatre-goer, actually enjoyed it, too. I couldn't get over the amazing job the fellow who played the fish did. He stole the show as far as I was concerned. That's truly great acting whether it's children's theatre or adult theatre. Acting is acting and he did a FABULOUS job; I expect to see him on Broadway at some point in time! All was great; we thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks for putting this play together. Amazing job!

I took my four almost five year old grandson to see the show and he just loved it. Not too long, not too short, cast was very interactive with audience which kept a young child's interest, as that can be a challenge. He also really enjoyed getting cast autographs after the show and taking pictures with them, especially fish and cat in the hat. We had a wonderful time and topped it off with lunch at Rain Forest Café. His home is in Georgia making it extra special
