Bacon & Beer Festival

I️ was very disappointed. Very expensive for the amount of beer and food I️ actually received. It was very unorganized and a lot of vendors ran out of supplies very early on.

There was a decent sampling of beer, but WHERE WAS THE BACON?!?! If I had known how small the venue, event, bacon presence was, I wouldn t have wasted $80! Sure there was some good beer, but get a bigger venue, get more beer and for God s sake, BACON! I thought it was the beer AND bacon festival!

Vendors were all great. The food was fantastic. It was very crowded, but this was the first year.

The event was pretty good I expected more vendors for the price of admission and an option to buy food would have been nice not just samples

They advertise "10+ bacon samples" on the website, but I did not see a single piece of bacon all night. The food vendors had very small samples, only some of which contained any bacon at all. One of my friends sneaked into the VIP section and told us that's where they were hiding all of the actual bacon. So unless you want to spend almost $80 (after fees) on VIP tickets for the bacon, don't waste your time. The beer was the only thing that kept me from giving this event 1 star.

Venue was OK, crowd was polite, lines moved quickly, beers ranged from ok to really good, music was good. the little hammer and nail game was fun (because I won), but...not enough bacon! There were lots of things with some bacon on them - Bacon Scones ( awesome), bacon donuts with ice cream (also awesome...), bacon wrapped duck, bacon flavored Chex mix...but not much, if any, real bacon! How much trouble is it to fry up some bacon and have it available? Little half strips with that salt, fat and smokey flavor, that's what we want and need! I'll come back, but bring on the bacon!!!!!

Seemed very disorganized compared to similar events. Upon entry, never received a map of vendor stations. No idea where to go or where to start. Luckily a friend was able to share one she had received. There was no listing of the offered beers for any vendors before getting into line, which then created long-wait lines while people were forced to ask questions and select their samples at the booth, thus holding everyone else up behind them. And truly, I've seen bigger sample cups at Long John Silvers for ketchup and tartar sauce. Highly disappointed with that! The random bacon vendors were okay. I truly enjoyed some of the offerings, but it would have been nice had they been grouped together rather than randomly mixed with the beer vendors...a section(s) for beer, a section for bacon. And please don't get me started on the "entertainment." SOOOOO depressing was the music. Would have been better to just let Q106.5 DJ the event. They were already there, so it wouldn't have been a big stretch. And truly, about a 3rd of vendors were closing up shop around 9pm with an hour left to go for the event. Maybe consider delaying the announcement of winners until closer to the end? This way, they may stay around longer. I feel this event could really be a great time for all--just needs some major revamping and better organization. AND DEAR GOD!...A better band!

I was pretty disappointed with the overall event. The ratio for the price of admission vs. the amount of vendors was very poor. It ended up being close to $5 each to taste the bacon creations and taste the local craft beers. While I did enjoy the local crafts and some of the bacon tastings the event should have had double the vendors. There was no re-entry for anyone that wanted to go outside and smoke or make it back to a vehicle to grab anything forgotten. Our crew had purchased the VIP tickets and so were allowed to enter at 5pm. Everyone else was able to enter at 6pm. By the time 6 had rolled around we had made it to every booth at least twice and were ready to head out. There were only a few tables set up so for the most part it was standing room only.

Need more bacon, beer selection good music was too loud.
