21 Pilots were amazing and should've been on for a longer set! You should have them back in December!!

Show was good, nice mix of both recent and classic acts/artists. Crowd was pleasant.

The weather looked a little iffy but the rain held off, making the temp awesome for an outside show. The side stage was in the parking lot. Great shows put on by Maximum Hedrum (Spike Jonze's bro! Who knew!), Capital Cities (their trumpet player Spencer stole the show), my friends New Politics, twenty|one|pilots (always fantastic live), and Cold War Kids. Things then moved into the main stage as the sun came out. Started with Atlas Genius (catch them if you can), Silversun Pickups, Awolnation (amazing), Bush, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The only suggestions for improvement, cup holders on the seat backs would be nice and the food is way too expensive - $12 for a small coke and small piece of pizza.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs finally got to the stage by about 9:50 played for exactly an hour and then quickly scattered off stage. Their first 40 minutes were non-stop rocking excitement, which was by far the best moments of the day and night! Some of the most explosive energy you'll see on stage. Despite a good closing tune, the last 15 or 20 minutes of the set was slop to the max with Karen O unable to find her tonal center on Wedding Song and Maps and often times there were some awkward timings in other songs (which is part of course part of their act at times), but none the less, a solid set by Indie Rock's darling. Bush was the surprise of the night as they smartly played all of their classics and even included a Beatles cover as well that got the crowd going. They kept it simple and gave it their all for the 90s lovers now 30 somethings. Awolnation somehow stole the crowd though, especially with their one hit wonder, which even I admit was one of the highlights of the night. However, every other tune to me was like nails being pounded into my feet. The youngsters in the crowd definitely came for this band as they were dancing with excitement throughout the set. Atlas Genius put on a solid mellow set as Cold War Kids gave a good finale to the parking lot side stage. In fact, I couldn't understand why they didn't utilize the side stage more as this way there could of been less wait time between bands. The time spent waiting for bands to play was equal to the amount that they performed. All bands played one hour or less. Still for a 10 buck lawn seat and for all that was seen and heard it was a pretty good deal. Lets just say you pay for what you get and every once in a while you can even get a deal!

We saw 8 of the 10 bands playing, and 6 of them were outstanding! I would highly recommend Capital Cities for their ability to entertain and have fun doing it, New Politics, whom we met, for their ability to entertain and have fun doing it, daring acrobatics, and being very nice guys, Twenty-One Pilots for a solid performance, Atlas Genius for their charm and grace, and, finally, AWOL Nation, for changing it up and keeping it interesting. I didn't think I would be familiar with their setlist but I was happy to learn I knew most of it pretty well.

Loved the side stage, twenty one pilots were fantastic, new politics were surprising. AWOLNATION pumped up the crowd, but Bush and the yeah yeah yeahs couldn't keep the energy at the frenetic pace they set.

Awesome bands! Awesome show! What a value ($12) for an all-day concert. However, the headliner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs!) were AWFUL. I couldn't believe how bad they sounded. It was a shame because the previous bands were great, and Bush really had the crowd going with a stellar performance. It seemed like most of the concertgoers had cleared out during the "headliner" performance. Other than the headliner, EXCELLENT! Hope Q87.7 does it again next summer!

Overall, I would say that the whole fest was great. The artists that came did a really great job at keeping the audience engaged and excited. The venue itself was fine, except for some the sound quality, but it wasn't enough to deter me from no going again next year!

Piqniq was excellent. My girlfriend and I showed up around 4pm for the main events, sitting in the lawn, near the far back and center. While most of the people around us were college students, none were loud or rude. The bands were great, especially Bush and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. We were given free tickets to seats in the middle of Bush's performance, near the end of the show, which means we were up close for Bush throwing down with Glycerin and Comedown. They stole the show with their performance and set list. The Yeah Yeah Yeah's were great, but whoever worked the board for Bush should've done it for the YYY's, because the trebles and bass drowned out Karen O's vocals for most of the set. The worst part was the food/beer cost, which is unfortunately to be expected from decent venues these days.

Can't believe I only paid $12 to see all these great bands!!! AWOL Nation, Bush, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs we're unforgettable (almost as unforgettable as meeting The Cold War Kids!!). Great show for an unbelievable value. Hope this is a yearly event. Great prequel to Lolla!

Even with weather that threatened rain any minute, Piqniq was an awesome collection of bands at a great price. The only beef I have is that they scheduled the start of the main stage as Cold War Kids was still playing. This meant a ton of people left CWK to see Atlas Genius which was a shame becuse CWK are awesome. So I missed Atlas Genius which sucks. More people should like CWK and stay to hear them. I didn't want to miss them or Atlas Genius so don't force people to make the choice. It was a great show though and I will go again.

Solid 10 band lineup. First 5 were on a secondary stage that was set up in the parking lot but it looked really nice on this fine afternoon. The last 5 were on the big stage and put on incredible performances. Only issue was the long lines at the concession stands due to the slow moving Aramark staff.

Well done, Q87.7 - a well planned event with quality bands! This was well organized and thought out and the bands they picked were perfect. I had a blast! Also - I was able to upgrade my lawn sets for pavillion seating for only $10 - the best decision of the day!

I showed up for the second half of the day to see all of the main stage band (Atlas Genius, Silversun Pickups, AWOLNation, Bush, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs). Fantastic show from all of the bands and you couldn't beat the ticket prices. Seeing Bush perform was definitely the highlight for me, although I realized I'm starting to show my age when it comes to music choices :-D AWOLNation seemed to be the overall crowd favorite and they put on a great show. The sound seemed a bit off during the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs set. The lead singer's voice was getting drowned out by the rest of the instruments. I was also impressed by everyone that came to the show. The crowd near me was watching the bands and not being loud, obnoxious, or drunkenly stupid. Made a great show that much better.

Great day! Well worth the $1 per band. Would recommend them alternating stages and attempting to avoid blacktop since it makes for an uncomfortable day.
