The special fund raiser concert held to benefit the victims of the Boston Bombings was one of the best concerts to ever happen in & for Boston. Not only were all the acts performing with a sense of pride, profound energy, and emotion, but the audience's energy was full of love, support and excitement. Starting with Richard Blanco's beautifully written poem, the night was a time to unite as Bostonians and heal. Every single act showed such raw emotion as they saw the victims sitting in the front row. Different acts dedicated and showed their support to the City and its people in their own unique ways. I will NEVER forget that night.

It was amazing . So many great acts, and they were all doing it for free! And they didn't skimp, either. They could have just walked on, played one song, and left, but they didn't . I enjoyed the comedians and seeing the sports figures and the people who had been injured but were able to come. Thanks do much to the organizers of this great event!

Five hours of entertainment from some incredible talent, including some that are legends in music. Fantastic. All in an environment that was brought together to help those hurt in the marathon bombing, so the atmosphere was upbeat and full of "we are one". Great night.

awesome but I was disappointed that Godsmack wasn't there even though they were billed as one of the acts. I especially LOVED the paperless ticket system. I strongly reccommend that ALL concerts be ticketless. That would put all the ticket scalpers and seconday ticket outlets out of busisness thereby allowing consumers to pay face valuse for tickets instead of the outrageous prices these unetical people and ticket outlets charge.

I figured I'd break this down into highlights and lowlights: Highlights: 1. The J. Geils Band - they were the band that had me wanting more 2. Lenny Clarke and Steven Wright - both at the top of their game 3. Boston (the band), though I wish Brad Delp was alive to be there 4. The surreal sight of the NKOTB coming out to join the Dropkick Murphys at the end of "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" 5. Carole King - I'd pay to see her perform solo. 6. The organization - I was dreading a lot of sitting around between acts, but they did an amazing job of keeping things going by having a revolving stage and comedians and guests to entertain and engage the crowd. Lowlights: 1. Paperless ticketing - I know they're trying to discourage scalping, but there's got to be a better way. The bottleneck to get in was absolutely ridiculous. Get your act together, please. 2. The jackanapes behind me who ruined almost every quiet moment (including the Boston Strong poem) by talking loudly. I know it's a cliche at concerts, but have a little respect for the artist and people around you, especially during a solemn moment. 3. Carole King rightfully pointed out that she was the only female act in the show (aside from the J. Geils Band backup singers). I can name a few Boston-related acts off the top of my head - Kay Hanley (Letters to Cleo), Kristen Hersh (Throwing Muses), Tanya Donnelly (Belly), Erin McKeown, and I'm sure others can throw some in there. (Actually, it's a shame Donna Summer passed away, because I guarantee she would have been there)

This show started off great and kept the entertainment going everyone sounded great Except Aerosmith ! I enjoyed everyone's set emensly except when Aerosmith came out they really sounded off key and really slow it really didn't sound like they knew what they were doing worst performance I have seen them do and I have seen them at least 14 times they def got better for the last two songs and this didnt changs a thing about the show it was still amazing but if I was (Aerosmith) I would be slightly embarrassed about how I sounded I mean they are self proclaimed kings in this city and to sound how they did for a show of this magnitude and what this show meant I just wouldn't be satisfied . With that said this show was still unbelievable and I would do it all over again . Thanks everyone who came and played it was a great show

An unbelievable night! Best concert and experience ever! Donnie Wahlberg is the man and has so much to be proud of. All of those artists and workers who gave their time are what Boston Strong is all about. The crown was amazing! SO DISAPPOINTED though that this was not televised-what a shame! How much money could they have raised! A true explanation needs to be found. The tornado show was put on much quicker and was on TV here in Boston, that's pitiful! We as a community all suffered and everyone should have been able to see Donnie's gem and everyone should have been able to contribute! Shame on whoever didnt make it happen. #Greatday for boston but also #what a shame!

This was a Super Amazing night. From the superior help with my boyfriend's wheelchair to the non-stop star- studded acts that performed from 7 pm to 1 pm,the victims and all of us supporters were over joyed ! The compassion Mark Walberg showed to the victims was so genuine. I wish this event would have never ended!

Loved the variety of performances, and appreciated the enthusiasm of the audience. Especially liked the closing two songs--Come Together and Dirty Water performed by Aerosmith, J Geils, New Kids, etc. Only downside for me was the performance by comedian Lenny Clark, whose humor I found often offensive, and racially insensitive.

This may have been one of the most memorable nights of my life. The production was seamless and the smooth and often clever transitions from act to act was outstanding. The comics weren't my favorite, but the music was amazing. The pride and solidarity of the Boston community was evident and it was wonderful to be able to show our support for those injured in the attacks and cheer their strength and recoveries. There was something for every music taste, James Taylor, New Kids on the Block, Aerosmith, Jimmy Buffet - an eclectic mix that gave fans a chance to sing, dance and have a great evening. Five hours I'll never forget. Boston Strong!

Loved the show, especially Boston, Carole King, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, J Geils, Lenny Clark, Steve Sweeney and Wright, NKOTB with surprise by Bell Biv Diveau and BtoM. Couldve done without Dane Clark, he made himself very unpopular by not letting his act stream - dont include him again. I only wish it had been televised, because I think more money wouldve been raised. Not sure why that was not able to occur...but I am SO glad I went- great event.

The Boston Strong concert was a well organized effort to support victims of the marathon bombings. With mostly acts from Boston both musical and comedic there was never a lull nor was there never a focus of why the event was held. Dane Cook was a low point for me. I don't find him particularly funny and appreciated the presence of Lenny Clarke and Steve Sweeney much more. I thought the best feaure of the event was the ticketless system. I think more events should be produced that way to avoid scalping.

The Boston Strong concert was beyond strong. This was an unforgettable mix of music that you will never get to see on the same stage at the same time. Every artist was passionate for the victims, first responders, and Boston. I go to a lot of shows and this will be one that sticks out in my mind forever. Every artist/group put on an outstanding performance and if you weren't a fan of the group before you were after thier performance. It was the "best of" each performer all packed into one ultimate variety show. One of the artists said, "we should do this every year".

This was a show put together by Don Law and the magnitude and range of artists was nothing short of magnificent. I was pleased the tickets could only be obtained at the entrance of the event with the credit card used at the time of purchase. TD Garden ticket-takers id all those using a credit card and this avoided any scalping......bravo!!! The show itself flowed from one artists to the next with great efficiency. Anyone there will tell you that the show was great and given the circumstances surrounding the reason for the event, all those involved in the planning, execution and performances should be praised for their time and efforts. Thank You for selflessly helping others.

Concert was fabulous, except ran long and had to leave just after Aerosmith went on due to the T schedule. Last train to south shore leaves Downtown Crossing at 12:30a. Had to leave North Station at 12a to make sure u made the connection. Aerosmith went on at 11:50p. Isn't there a way to have the T run later when u have these large scale events that u know won't stay on schedule? Also the event should have been televised at least in NE missed out on a lot of donations.

My first concert was in 1978. Boston at the old Boston Garden. It was like I was 16 y.o. all over again. Remembered every word to every song. Same with J. Geils. Same with Aerosmith. Seeing them live brought back those days. They sounded just as strong, if not stronger (and sober!!) Never really was a NKOTB fan, as I was almost in my 30's when they started. However, I'm now a fan! Great job. True Parrotthead here, so I was a bit disappointed Jimmy Buffett only did 3 songs. However, it wasn't HIS show, so it made sense. James Taylor and Carole King were ok. I think they should have gone on earlier in the night. The crowd was pumped up, and they dropped the mood a bit. Love country, so Jason Aldean rocked it also. I could have done without Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney, and of course Dane Cooke. Each were tasteless in their own sense - there's no way Law Enforcement should have been the brunt of any jokes on this night. THEY were the reason we were kept as safe as we could have been. They were not necessary to make the event successful. There was something for everyone at the show. Although the reason for the show should never have happened, it was fantastic that something like this could be done. It should have been televised. It would have raised so much money for the OneFund. Poor decision on that end.

This concert was so old school, it was great! As a Boston native, the connection we feel with one of our own is strong. We connect to musicians, entertainers, sports players - that is why the performers worked together to get the night together and why they all seemed to have such a great time ... but it's because everyone that was there wanted to be there, to be there for all Bostonians! The finale was a once in a lifetime moment. For a concert to last over 5 hours ... amazing! My thoughts will always be with the victims and their families and those, like myself who were so close to the finish line, strength and positive energy.

This concert was amazing! I wish that the Garden would always have entry be with credit card and ID. I'm sure it made it much easier to get tickets without scalpers being able to buy the majority of them. The only issue with this concert was that James Taylor and Carole King should have been told they had a time limit instead of thinking it was "their" concert and playing way too long. This caused us to have to leave a bit early as I wasn't sure (and no one at the Garden was sure) if the time of the last train leaving had been extended.

Hopefuly there will no longer be a need for any type of benefit concet, theres has been enough death and destruction in America lately. That said, this concert was outstanding. All Boston based bands played, played well and really brought the crowd and the city together to heal. I could have done with less boy band and more rock, but the New Kids showed heart and emotion. Dane Cook, needs to be left off of any stage, while a Boston boy, he brought nothing to the stage and I guess nothing to the folks at home with his demands that his set not be streamed...no big loss. This is the first concert where everyone knew all or most of the songs, sang their hearts out and only sat for Cook's performance. A magical night.

Matty opened up the show and I just had goose bumps. He described how Boston has so much LOVE and we are family. It's amazing and makes me so happy to come from such a beautiful place! The show was absolutely AMAZING!! Music from every generation. NKOTB had everyone on there feet! AWESOME job BOSTON!! Another plus was having the ticketless event, no scalpers. Kept ticket prices down. There is no other way could I have ever seen Aerosmith or Boston. What an amazing event. Thank you.

Great show by the musicians. New Kids On The Block were the best because they were so personable and there for the victims. Dane Cook and Steve Wright could have been dropped .

I thought the concert was beyond my expectations. I laughed, I sang and I cried...Everyone who put their hardwork into the concert should get a well deserved standing ovation.

All of the bands and comics were amazing. I would give this event 10 stars if that option was available.

Where else can you see top name acts and give to an incredible cause! The only downfall was that it was only 5 1/2 hours long! It would have been great if even more acts were there and played for longer than the approximately 25 to 30 minutes each! Great time. Great show. Great cause.

Only con...............James Taylor and Carole King should have done one song EACH, and only one song together. Their act seemed to drag on and and as you know, everyone was waiting to "Dream on"...................
