Was a very entertaining show! I enjoyed the history told by the band members in between songs, I would have enjoyed more of that. The music was excellent!

The music and visuals were awesome but, we could have done without the profanity, the volume could have been turned down a bit and, since I have a breathing problem, the smoke machines could have been a serious problem, especially if I had been sitting in one of the balconies. Steven Van Zant needs to remember that most of the people coming to the show will be in their sixties, or older, and should consider the health issues that a lot of these people may have , like hearing and breathing problems. Still, I enjoyed every minute of it and do not regret spending more money on this concert than I ever have in my life.

Outstanding show! I last saw the Rascals ( then known as The Young Rascals ) in 1967 at Villanova University. Hearing their hits again was akin to a time machine taking me back to my high school and college days. I recommend this show for anyone who enjoys excellent music.

I had waited since the 60's to see this band. I was not disappointed and had the time of my life! I am thankful for Steven Van Zandt's vision to get this band together and to take it on the road for all of the Rascal Fans to see! If they come to your town GO SEE IT! I only hope that this is the beginning and I get to see them again.

Loved hearing the Rascals hits, but also the "back story" behind the band's formation, devise, and resurrection, through the multi-media/video clips. Felix's voice... he's still "got it". Cornish... man, the riffs sounded even better. Eddy... "How Can I Be Sure...', and Dino driving the band behind that kit. There were three glitches; Eddy's vocals were "muddied" in the mix at the beginning of the show; Dino's kick overpowered the system, again, at the beginning of the show, and something happened, perhaps with the computerization- again, during the first act. Not sure if they were "house" problems, or the tech team, but the bottom line is that I loved hearing the band, loved the video enhancements and lighting. This wasn't just a band in concert, it was an event! I'm glad I saw it!

While my husband loved it, me...not so much. Never a real fan of the Rascals in their prime, in this performance I think I recognized about 5 songs. I was not a fan of the psychedelic backgrounds that flashed behind the band for many of the songs. The back story was interesting, but a bit hard to follow. The music was excessively loud, as was the man next to me who yelled quite a bit.....I could do without that. Not my favorite performance.

I never thought I would live to see a Rascals reunion and I know the vast majority of their fans feel the same way! I have truly been a lifelong fan (since age 4) and learned a lot about them I did not know. The musical performance, of course, was top notch! They may be up there in age, but can still rock out with the "younger set" just fine. Special Kudos go to Eddie Brigati for coming out after the show to meet people and sign autographs. I was very taken listening to him speak about what this reunion meant to him. It sounded to me as if he realized, after all these years, that maybe leaving the band in the first place wasn't such a hot idea. That's just one opinion, so take it for what it is. At my local turntable shop (Audio Renaissance), I have LP's and posters of the Rascals on the walls since they are hometown heroes (Gene Cornish grew up here in Rochester). What summer would be complete without some Rascals music anyway? I wish all the members of the band nothing but the best for the rest of this tour. Perhaps, we can do it all again next year? It took a long time to happen, but you guys "done real good"- BRAVO!

The band did a great job considering their age. I missed Cornish's Lead part in Slow Down. It appeared he had guitar troubles... darn. Why did the curtain come down and then raise for no apparent reason?

One of the few original sixties bands that have survived and thrived due to their unwavering talent and timeless message of peace and love ... a message encouraging good will towards all people, as well as protecting our fragile planet. The Rascals are back and better than ever. Their performance will bring back many memories of one of the most controversial periods in our history and will have you dancing in your seats!

40 years of legal bickering couldn't stop this train from rolling down the tracks like a well-oiled time machine. I knew all the Rascals big hits...but knew none of their history nor the staggering variety of music they created aside from the hits. And to hear them recreate all that, live on stage, 40+ years after the fact, was truly amazing. The multimedia backdrop didn't hinder the heart of the show: The Rascals. And while it was not perfect, neither is Rock n Roll. At least part of their (his)story was told, and I'm glad to know it. It's a Beautiful Morning! The only thing I would have done differently is I would have taken People Got to Be Free...an extended version, multiple solos, introduce the band and back-ups during this, and rock the house....as the encore. It is their most poignant song...defining the generation of Peace, Love and Understanding. Still....Bravo!

A great, great show by one of America's premier bands of all time. I was pleasantly shocked at how amazing they still are as a band.Felix and Eddie's voices are still strong, pure and soulful as ever. Dino is still one of the all time great rock and roll drummers. He played with power, taste, some flash and an awesome array of tasty flourishes and touches rarely seen in today's rock drummers.Gene was ageless holding down all the iconic guitar parts with his boundless stage energy in his return to his home town of Rochester. Thanks to Steven Van Zandt for convincing these guys that bands like this don't come along very often. Unlike their Hall of Fame reunion they looked genuinely thrilled to be together doing what they do. I had a blast. I only wish I could have stood up for the show. The Rascals music should not be taken sitting down!

I absolutely loved the Rascals music way back when, and when I got the opportunity to see them live they did not disappoint. In spite of not being together for 40 years or so the band looked good. But more importantly they SOUNDED Great. Just exactly the way I remembered them. The show going on, on the big screen told about the story of the band members and and how they came together as a group. And it tells of their success with their own music. But the live performances of all their big hits is what we all came to hear. And they absolutely NAILED IT!! Song after song, memory after memory........the show was great. The guys worked hard to put on a good show and they did. No problems hitting the high notes for these guys. I always said if Ray Charles and Paul McCartney ever formed a band........it would have sounded a lot like the Rascals. They were and still are awesome. Go see this show! There arent many bands out there that can boast they have all the original members in the show. This is one of them.

If you were an avid fan of the Rascals, you will enjoy this show. It is what it is though. A group of guys with AARP status trying to bring back the glory days. For the most part, Felix's voice is pretty spot on. Eddie struggled a bit. The hits were above average, the more obscure songs, were, well more obscure. The Kirby was an excellent venue to view this show and the price was right. Had I paid three times that to see them in New York City, I would have been disappointed. Bottom line is if you are a real Rascals fan, don't miss it. If you weren't, I believe you might be a little disappointed.

Very unique the way its set up with the film show and music combined. Either one on its own would have been enough to hold my interest but together- not just good and interesting but it touched me. Of course being 62 y.o. may have something to do with that. Kudos to the guys, Stevie VZ and everyone involved in bringing this to us. I hesitate going to some of these shows by groups of yesteryear; I just don't want to be around when formerly glorious performers can no longer hit the notes. But gladly that wasn't the case here at all. They were spot on. I could of stayed all nite. Btw, there are no bad seats at the Kirby Center. That place is amazing. I've been a supporter and intend to go more often in the future.

We don't ever recall feeling this way following a performance. My wife, unlike me who grew up loving the Rascals during the 60s, even remarked how touched she was by the performance as she recalled all their hits. We both agreed that we would definetly go see them again either as a concert or the concert/show performance. Please come back to Pennsylvania! And not to forget the backup musicians and singers, they were fantastic as well, a real complement to the Rascals. We read some reviews in newspapers complaining that the show didn't delve into the issues that broke the group up. I guess that's why they're called critics - we went to hear the music and experience the show, and we were not disappointed.

This was my 22nd show, which I guess is crazy for a show that doesn't change in terms of setlist. Also, it sounds crazy since the storyline, lighting, and multimedia effects are the same from night to night. The storyline, lighting, and multimedia aren't what has brought me back 22 times with 7 more shows on the horizon. What brings me back are the band's performances, which only keep getting better and better. I still know their best show hasn't happened yet. Each show I see or hear something new. I still hope the Rascals are able to attract younger people and more new fans to their shows. The musicians all have more energy and play so much better than most younger bands I go see. Their music is classic (timeless) and shouldn't be considered oldies.

Music was great. Voice of Felix--FANTASTIC!! Special effects -awesome. History of The Rascals- very informative. SONGS-TERRIBLE! Although they did play their 'best' songs-- I wanted to hear the Rascals play these songs and songs by other artists ( as groups usually do )- I and the audience never heard of many of these songs before. This happened once before at a Four Tops concert. People were walking out! We thought we were going to hear the Four Tops of the '60's-- not the NEW FOUR TOPS! They are the Four Tops of the '60's--These groups are famous because of the 'past'-- they are not going to duplicate what made them famous in the '60's. . We don't want to hear their NEW songs. We want to hear 'the old'-- what we grew up with and can relate to.

Wow, awesome suprise on the show & music, energy and audience...the rendetion of Grooving will always stay with me, flawless, same with Beatiful Morning, and great flow to the whole set which included 15 min intermission. The detroit audience energized these guys in a beatiful way. They stayed authentic and genuine to their roots and the audience picked it up and lifted them up for a fantastic show. Great music that just never gets played commercially today, but is timeles. Great beats and energy. Consider myself lucky to had seen the show in this theater and setting.

Just got back from the San Francisco performance and all I can say is these guys brought it big time. They all still sound great even after all these years. The production itself was really cool and very innovative. What a great way to tell their story. This was one of those shows you never want to end. Just a great night all around. If you have a chance to see this show, go. You didn't have to grow up with this music to enjoy this show but for those of you who did and remember these musicians in their heyday, I think you'll find this show especially enjoyable. It's like stepping back in time 40 years. A true blast from the past you will not soon forget.

I've seen the show a lot of times because I really love the music. The whole show is great and goes by so fast. However, being a repeat fan, I hope that at some point the band mixes things up. I give the show 5 stars for someone who hadn't seen the show before. I give it 4 starts for repeat fans, because there are no changes from night to night (unless you watch Dino, which is what I do because he mixes things up). The band is capable of so much more. Hope when they come back to NY they mix things up a little so there is an element of surprise.

Love The Rascals music but volume was too loud making it hard to hear the words. The foul language needs to be dropped, it adds nothing to the show. If weren't for the two things above I would have given them a five star rating bcause they do perform some amazing songs.

The Rascals were among my favorite groups from the sixties. I had high expectations, but was somewhat disappointed. I loved the songs and the show had much potential to be good. I have been to hundreds of concerts, including Felix as solo. A good soundman is needed since the sound mix was terrible. I have only walked out on one other concert, and this was my second.

Although they still can sing, the price of the tickets was at least double what it should have been. I am sure that is why they had to cancel 2 of the nights and Saturday's performance was about 1/2 full. . When I first heard about the reunion shows, I couldn't imagine how they were going to perform their music and history....now I know. Steve Van Zandt had the concept, wrote a show that was TRUE,combined with Mark Brickman's visual imagery..a dazzling event. They plumbed the depths of the Rascal catalogue and layered the main stream hits with other album cuts. All of this would have been a moot point, if after 40 years they sounded like a band playing at the nursing home. Not to worry, they rocked, rolled, and souled their way from beginning to end. Felix still has that voice, like buttered soul. Eddie still hit the high notes on How Can I Be Sure...and did a masterful job on Baby, Let's Wait and Ain't gonna eat out my heart out any more. Together vocally a treat for your ears. Gene plays guitar better than ever and with joy. Dino Danelli is a whole show unto himself. He was, is and always will be the best rock and roll drummer bar none. To everyone...GO SEE THIS SHOW.

A forty plus year break has not hurt these guys one bit! After seeing my share of older stars I was wondering if they could still make those songs sound so good. That question was answered in the opening flurry of songs with a resounding "hell yes!" Off hand I can think of no other band from that glorious era that can boast of having all the orginial menbers in tact, or even living for that matter. Well the Rascals can! A MUST SEE! Thank you Little Steven for being the greatest fan of all by getting these guys back on stage togther again, and thank you guys for remembering why you got together in the first place. It's all about the music, so "Come on up, and have a good time" with the Rascals!

I was a fan of the Rascals' music in the 1960s, but I never knew the band's history. This performance combined both. The band played songs both familiar and less so, interspersed with members' video reminiscences on a screen between songs. But the music was the main attraction, and the Rascals gave the audience two hours of their songs exactly as we remember them. Eddie, Felix, Dino and Gene may be older now, but the music sounds just as good.

No longer Young but still Rascally. Why an audience can't prepare for a concert by familiarizing themselves with the artist's catalog beyond the handful of top 5 hits is beyond me. Of the 26 songs played, I knew 18 of them, they were well played with the same spirit, if not the same energy the band had 40-couple years ago. The Atlanta audience stood up for 3 songs: Good Lovin', People Got to Be Free and Come on Up . During the rest of this awesome show the audience where we were sitting looked like they were watching a funeral unfold before them. A woman next to me even changed places with her husband because I was "seat dancing" to excess. Dino is still an amazing drummer and the interview footage was pretty cool-even if it interrupted some of the songs. Highly recommended.

If you have any mobility at all, you need to get to a venue where the Rascals are performing and allow yourself to be treated to a magnificent show. The four original members are together again for the first time in (literally) decades, and they sound GREAT!!!! If you are a good person, you deserve this. If you're a bad person, well, maybe being exposed to this music will make you a good person. Win-win situation. Check 'em out!

I didn't see the entire performance (I left after Good Lovin'). The major hits were performed well especially Good Lovin'. The videos were cute. Eddie's voice is a little off now but Felix can still really bring it. The sound mix was a bit uneven with Eddie's voice being a bit distorted but Felix's was fine. The backup singers added a dimension to the songs that you wouldn't have heard from a vintage live performance. Overall it was an okay experience but nothing really special.

A very interesting performance. A nice retrospective as to how the group formed in the early 60's. I last saw the Young Rascals back in 1967 or 1968. I think the hit single was "It's A Beautiful Morning". I especially enjoyed the videos going on in the background. It took me back to the sixties, remembering where I was, what I was doing, who I was dating. It was a fun evening. Felix voice was still unmistakable. I didn't realize they hadn't played together in nearly 40 years. I'm glad I went.

They did a great job! Great mix of a concert and a broadway show. Steven Van Zandt did a great job here. Why they waited 40 years to get back together!

Fantastic show!! Seldom do you get to see all the original members of a band. The story line added to the music was a plus.

The show covers 28 songs, in two hours, with narrative clips dropped in throughout, which cover the band's history. The show moves well and fans seemed to really love it. Musically, I felt that infusing a big drum set and ramping up the guitar rifts tended to take away from many of the songs unnecessarily. Even though Eddie Brigati's vocals were not strong, his performance on "How Can I Be Sure" was the best of the night as you could really hear the feeling he brought to the song. Overall a good entertainment experience.

The sound was way too LOUD!!!. We were in the balcony and couldn't understand the words because it was too loud. The background screen was very bright and distracting. One our friends had eye surgery 2 weeks ago and she had to get up and leave because of the bright lights. It would have been great if they had done all their great hits. Most of the songs we didn't recognize. I would not recommend this concert to my friends. We couldn't believe they didn't play Mustang Sally.

Great venue. Easy to get to, close to home. The Rascals put on a great show, complete with vintage photos and film reels. And, they sounded great!

The show was good, probably a B+. The sound system was awful. Way too loud and extremely distorted and out of balance.

Enjoyed the way the show was done. Seeing the guys when they were younger and seeing them present time was very interesting. The music was very good!! They have still got it. Too bad they were missing from the scene for 40 yrs.
