ISU Family Weekend

These guys are so entertaining, they pretty much made up for the mediocre food. I'd recommend you eat a nice meal somewhere else and just enjoy the show.

the event was very well organized and we were able to buy the extra tickets we needed at the entrance to the tent. food was ample and very good. easy in/out with plenty of space. availability of wine/beer at a reasonable price was a surprise and appreciated.

Entertainers were upbeat and funny. Played requests only from the crowd, crowd was interactive singing along and a few were encouraged to join on stage. Dinner was average, as expected from a buffet serving a big crowd.

If you don't want to drag all your tailgating stuff to the game, this is the thing to do! It was an excellent meal, we met the President of the University, the VP of finance & had a stress free, delicious meal. Free family photo too! We also loved the marching band surrounding the tent & playing for us before the headed into the stadium! Nicely done, ISU!

The only drawback was that the dinner part was lacking enough of the main dish. They had plenty of vegetarian lasagna, but half of my family got no beef and ended up eating only potatoes, salad and rolls. Concert itself was funny, very good musicians and they really got the crowd involved...we had a fun evening!

BRUNCH FOR FAMILY WEEKEND WAS FABULOUS. NOT TOO CROWDED. FOOD WAS VERY GOOD.

There 2 very talented pianists played for 2 hours and we enjoyed every minute. Sorry to have it come to an end when it did. They kept the audience engaged, singing and attentive awaiting the next song each time. The food was excellent. A great value all around. We also had the opportunity to enjoy some adult beverages during the show. We will definitely do it again next year if they are invited back.

The food was well prepared and quite tasty. Cookies were wonderful and the tend was well set up with plenty of available seating. We would do this again next year.

This was a great show and a great deal of fun. We were entertained right from the start. The talented piano duo were terrific and got everyone involved in singing and clapping. They played all three of our requests. There was never a dull moment.

Nobody could tell me how to get there and once we did, they were out of items.

The food was hot, fresh, and tasty! BBQ Pulled Pork and Mac N Cheese all good! Fruit cobbler, cookies, fresh fruit - all delicious and delightful. A good value and convenient before the football game.

ISU Family Weekend Lunch The Burgers & Hotdogs were ICE COLD :( I understand it was late OCT, windy and temps in the mid-50 s, but the catering service needs to have a better plan to keep the food at/above appropriate temperatures. If a State Health Inspector had stopped by, they would simply stated that the hamburgers and hotdogs were outside the safe temperature range and the food would need to be discarded (Yes, I worked in the restaurant industry as a cook for +5 years).

We've been attending the Family Brunch for a few years now. This year's didn't seem as fun and exciting as it has been in the past. The food was room temp and the entertainment was just ok. I was disappointed with it for the price that we paid for the tickets.

Talented and hilarious musicians! My kids and I loved the show!

Food was delicious. Dueling Pianos was hilarious and had great crowd interaction. These guys are pros. Awesome. Will attend again.

We enjoyed the Band Together performances, especially in Redbird Arena instead of Band-a-Rama in student union because the Marching Band is so huge it was hard for this to fit on the stage previously. having this on Friday night was great because Marching Band didn't have to start in early a.m. and then end up Saturday night doing band-a-rama. We were able to spend Saturday night with our student. Only problem was that we didn't know what door to go in and tried from North and West (I think). Because of the black curtains, it looked like the arena was empty, so we left and searched other venues. Finally came back and found an open door, so we missed about the first 15 minutes. Next year please specify an entrance and post a notice at the other doors. Some more lighting on the dancers too, because they were working so hard and only got lighting near the end. Loved it, will definitely go back next year for Band Together! Oh, could you please hold off the start time till 8:00pm? Traffic on I-80 was terrible on a Friday night, we had to get off and take side roads too.
