Extreme Thing - Sports & Music Festival

The event was awesome I went alone and ran into so many friends and everyone was having a great time. I definitely will attend the next show in Vegas.

I had an amazing time at Extreme Thing. Definetly am greatful and thankful for going.

This years line up was outstanding. Had so much fun and the weather was beautiful!

As a big music listener.. i cant say im a fan of the music.. but the roots of tue music is alot more interesting. I do enjoy taking my kids to the event though.. in the past youve had some cool bands .. this year one had my interest.. not that they are even on my iphone cuz they arent.. but i did listen to them when they first cam out prbably before most of the kids that attended were born. with that in mind you can tell im old.. an old punk.. so i say lets bring the extreme back to extreme.. like add some hardcore.. pro-pain ..madball .. or arsen anthem.. and if youre giving some of the artists like hollywood undead some exposure why not add some reggae artists.. like aggrolites. or rebelution. saw enough bob marley and rasta gear there... alright done with my rant.. ready for VLV at the orleans .. bringit!

I thoroughly enjoyed the concert but the main stage sound system was horrible, But for 20 bucks I'd definitely go again.

The bands were awesome and the total experience was phenomenal. Cant wait for next years!!!!!

Great bands. Extreme Thing is always fun...Layout is always a challenge trying to get from one side to the other, but not much they can do about it. Security guards were awesome. POD Rocked! Crazy pits!

Hands down the best value for locals to experience a variety of entertainment. Especially that I've got two teenagers in a town made for adults. Wish there was more bathrooms, of course, and a few more eatery spots, due to VERY long lines. I'd definitely come back next year!!

The event was put together well but I just detest all those damn teeny boppers. My suggestion would be to make it an 18 and over show. This type of music and multiple bands line-up creates havoc and the younger you are the more tempted you are to misbehave. Plus I am short so I couldn't see any of the bands (as there weren't any bleachers).

This was honestly as close to Warped Tour as it gets at the end of March. All the bands I saw killed it (The Wonder Years, The Used, Underoath, Sleeping With Sirens, Less Than Jake, etc.), awesome people and even better vibes. Besides the sandy wind in my face the whole time, but nothing some sunglasses and the chapstick I got from the Scion tent couldn't help with. Most fun I've had at a festival since Coachella of last year.

I was just there for my 15 yo daughter and her friend. They had great time even though I tagged along with them. They got some pics with some of the band members and even tweeted with them and they responded back. I think that was more exciting for my daughter than the actual concert.

Extreme Thing was amazing <3 the only thing that bothered me was how much smoke was there. Oh whatever, Extreme Thing was still fun

Falling in reverse: pretty good, underoath: damn good, the used: I now need three separate reconstructive surgeries because my face was melted off! I can't believe a show that I payed 20$ for was so incredibly awesome. The only quam I have is that they advertised a "free t-shirt with a ticket upgrade (+$10) and it was only for a "extreme thing" shirt. Not a band shirt. Check the rating though, still 10/10.

The whole thing was swarmed with high school kids, basically, We saw the shows and got out as soon as possible., NOT WORTH THE $$

The show was ok. Would I say that I got my moneys worth? NO. Would I recommend this show to a friend? NO. There really wasn't anything very extreme about it. I understand the weather is an uncontrollable but still I don't think it was planned or executed very well. But thats just me.

Overall the atmosphere was great i didnt get my ticket stub back they kept it! Overall the sound was ok could have been better with some of the bands

It was so much fun! I sleeping with sirens was awesome! Unwritten law was amazing, still don't understand why they wouldn't let Mickey Avalon play. I really think the venue should have sold liquor, at least beer. Beer would have made it much better!! Overall it was fun an had lots to see.

The weather ruined the night, the strong winds were blowing grass and dirt in our eyes, and The Vitamin Water Main Stage sucked, the bass was to loud, the sound was terrible, hopefully next year will be better.

Being my first year going I was nervous and stoked. The free stuff was awesome. The bands were incredible. And it was an awesome time!

I'm going next year!!! The bands were unforgettable. Of mice and men, FALLING IN REVERSE, THE USED!!! It can't get any better than that.ronnies entrance was just amazing! Everyone needs to experience this event.:D

My friends and I were very excited to go to Extreme Thing 2012, upon arrival the place was swarming with preadolescent kids/teenagers. This would have been fine, if there had been adult beverages or an adult beverage section. There were several other adults there to see some of the 'old school' bands - Unwritten Law, Less Than Jake, The Used, to name a few. The event was VERY spread out, with not a lot of 'activities' besides a few wrestling matches, MMA matches, and the dirt biking contest. The rest were a few eclectic booths, selling over priced tshirts, and other 'alternative' styled jewelry. One booth had what looked like decent tribal styled gauges, and upon my friend approaching was told - these are fake, you have the real ones - we laughed and walked away. The food being sold was average festival fare - nachos, snow cones, french fries, etc. The music - we were super pumped to see Unwritten Law; they were OVER an HOUR late! Thus making everyone else late as well. The area where the stage was was a dry grass field - which meant a lot of grass being kicked into the air - which only majorly sucked when you were trying to eat. Aside from the lateness, once the bands came on they were good. Less than Jake was by far my favorite - as they really got the crowd pumped, and they were funny on top of playing great music. One of the more brilliant things I've seen in a long time was 'Flush for a Cause' if you donated $1 [towards Breast Cancer] then you got to use these nice clean porta-potty. These were the best porta-potty I've ever seen! They flushed! [you didn't have the pit of disgusting-ness that you get with the FREE portas they had. Plus you could wash your hands. It was well worth the dollar. Towards the end of the event, [I was out of money] went to go use the last Free porta-potty that was open - after being warned by a few others 'don't use those' pointing to most of them - well the one I went into was vomit worthy - I didn't even use the bathroom - it was beyond disgusting.... I think more porta-potties are a must! I would only attend again if they had a adult area - with adult beverages - as they have had in the past.

Stimulus overload. Wore hat & dark glasses, as not to look like everyone's Dad (Grandfather) - mixed emotions - lots going on - well produced - Safe w/ lots of Cops - liked a lot of it - hated some of it - caught in a Mosh Pit, not good - felt bad for many, especially young girls that have apparently lost their way - kept thinking, OMG what happened to you? - so many look like they've been abducted & tortured, hard to believe they've done it all to themselves - I simply can't understand how training your earlobes to rest on your shoulders qualifies as a desired goal - I don't imbibe anymore, but woke with hangover. Strangely, perhaps, I'll be there next year...

Extreme Thing 2012 was probably the greatest day of my life. I had so much fun, and I enjoyed getting a tan. The performances were amazing, and everyone was happy and jumping and screaming. It was just fantastic. The weather was really nice too.

OK so both of the acts I was wanting to see did not play for various reasons. When I bought the tickets, Everlast was on the bill. I later come to find out he's left the tour to go on tour with Sublime. Then I come to find out for whatever reason, Mickey Avalon doesn't play after waiting at the Verizon stage for almost two hours. So that sucked as well. My daughter was interested in seeing some of the other bands and Sleeping with Sirens was excellent as usual. Transit was solid as were Of Mice and Men and Black Dahlia Murder. So she had a good time and that was the important thing. One complaint was having it at a place where the grass was dead and across from a dirt lot was brutal as the wind picked up and wound up covered in a dirt and dead grass paste after it stuck to our sunscreen.

I would have to say best night I've had in a long time sore but it was worth it! I say you should buy your tickets for next year now there is music there for everyone!

What an awful event! Never again! The bands took forever to prepare and the amount of cussing overshadowed the music that should have been playing. What a waste of money and time! The City of Las Vegas should not allow this Extreme Crap to continue

It was my first year going and we had a great time! Only complaint was the stages and crowd areas were too small for all the big bands. Otherwise it was great!!

While I was a little disappointed with Hollywood Undead and their technical difficulties, Sum 41 but on the show of a life time. Even the lesser-known shows were full of energy and a blast to watch. The BMX, skateboarding, and wrestling were also very entertaining.

Largest and most amazing Extreme Thing of yet. Met really nice people and I felt pumped!

Sage Francis: A name synonymous with hip-hop. He underscores underground, represents the independent scene, and most of all, bears the important task and responsibility of keeping lyrics and the spoken work poignant and raw. Sage Francis is the one and only reason I attended Extreme Thing 2011. Sure, the draw of Vegas was also a small incentive, but when you witness what the man can do with a microphone, you are born anew in an audience of the enlightened. I of course mean absolutely no disrespect to any of the other artists who performed; I just wanted to share how great it was to see someone like Sage Francis, especially when I knew he would be a class act because of how awkwardly placed among the other acts. I'm glad the crowd gathered slowly and then was engaged. It shows that regardless of musical tendencies, people will always have a soft spot for something their subconscious tells them is good. All artistic opinion aside, it was a great venue, and with the exception of the parking, it proved to be worth every penny I spent.

my daughter loved it again every year i paid for vip to get a shirt every year ticket taker at gate refused to give her back her scanned ticket to get that shirt which was very unfair to her.

It was crowded with a bunch of twelve year olds who don't know music, but still fun

All the bands I was able to see where phenominal. I was disappointed that four of my favorite bands overlapped and I missed them because of this. I came as soon as the venue opened and didn't leave until it closed.

My two sons and I (from Chicago) attended this and last years event in Las Vegas. Great Bands. Great Venue. Letlive put on a Great Show as usual. They are a Great Band with a positive message and should have been on the Hard Rock Live Main Stage as their show is High Energy and Exciting. Also, Animals as Leaders are Amazing Musicians. I was introduced to After the Burial (from Minneapolis) at this years event and am now a fan of their music. While Bring me the Horizon's Light Show and music are Great, I was disappointed in Oliver's choice of T-Shirt. Jesus was a man of peace, healing, tolerance and love for all mankind during his short stay here on Earth. He is most certainly NOT a C_NT. Oliver is of course free to express his opinion and beliefs as am I. On this issue, we will have to agree to disagree. I have already prayed for Oliver whether he likes it or not ;-)

Being way up in the front was amazing!!!! UNFORGETTABLE!!!

Atmosphere was great, food was good, lots of things to do, did not like the constant smell of pot.

The venue was amazing. Drinks and merchandise were a bit pricy but all in all a fabulous show.

Easy parking, easy ticket pick-up, fun, fun and fun!

It was great seeing so many great bands in one day. The best was Taking Back Sunday, Killswitch Engage and of Mice and Men!

Such an awesome even event! I took my daughter and boyfriend everyone had a great time.

Really only went for one band but a great deal for $20 ticket even for one band... Pleasantly surprised at Free Parking and burger/fries for $4 at one vendor...

Extreme Thing was amazing! Everything was great about it, the line was was sick! I loved all the merch tents and Bmx was awesome also!

It was my first year going and it was really great in some ways and horrible in others. The bands were great, I went for Of Mice And Men and Bring Me The Horizon. However, there was just nothing to do in between those two big acts. I ended up leaving early because there was no where to sit and rest and there wad nothing to do. If they had more things to do, maybe more rides, then it'd be a five star event.

Great show. Great spot. Great people. No alcohol. LAME!!!!! The 3 stars given for no alcohol. 5 stars for the show!!

All the bands were great can't wait for next years to come

I stayed almost exclusively at the Hard Rock venue with much of the hardcore scene. It was insane! Almost too much at times. I'm 6'5", so I could see fine the entire time--even more so because I was right up front--however, there were tons of people getting crushed and couldn't see at all. I saved the lives of probably 20-35 people. The constantly crowd surfing was obnoxious, but that is just the breed of the beast. There was plenty of good food available, and the fact that it was alcohol free made it that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend it.

This was a fun event. It was a little chaotic when we arrived in the afternoon. They had a few vendors but nothing that interested me. They had a decent variety of good but they should consider those with dietary restrictions or those who are dieting by offering healthier varieties. The line up was good. I was surprised Clark County put this together. I would suggest offering alcohol in the future. Especially for the older crowd, it would have been nice to enjoy a beer or two during the show. I would also think that this would also attract an older crowd vs young high schoolers.

We hada great time, most of the artists were on point.but I do have to say that is a very long day at the park and I'm SUPRISED they chose to not sell beer. I understand that it's an all ages show but I've been to many of them that have separate beer gardens that you have to be 21 to even enter into that area. Had that been available I may have just went there to escape the rediculous amounts of underdressed little girls. Not trying to sound like an old lady but damn! I'd flip out if my daughter tried to leave the house dressed the way these kids were struttin around... Anyway, just a thought.

It was nicer this year than last year, mainly because of the weather being so much better.The porta johns could have been attended to to keep enough paper for the event and cleaned a couple of times during the event. I felt sorry for the girls having to use them. They were very nasty towards the end of the concert. Otherwise it was good for the younger crowd.

ALWAYS GREAT BANDS PLAYING AND THE BMX COMPETITION IS THE BEST OUT THERE TO SEE

The bands were all great (besides 3OH!3, They didn't sound very good and were late for their set. But there were alot of good vendors, all the bands were good and professional, and I enjoyed every little bit of the Extreme Thing. Just don't forget sunscreen.

I feel like I don't have the right to complain about the line-up because I knew what I was getting into, I was only there to see the Aquabats and MSI so I was waiting around until they played. It was very obviously geared toward the younger crowd and they were all pretty awful, loud and obnoxious, shirtless boys and girls wearing less than what I wear to bed. I liked that it was dry (it would have been god awful for these fools to be drunk), but the crowd got really irritating really fast. If you go, I'd recommend sunscreen and a high tolerance for cocky teenagers. In regards to the music, Aquabats and MSI were incredible, and a local band Be Like Max were pretty great also. Dirt bike events were pretty impressive too.

Extreme Things 2013 was pretty awesome! The bands were good, they could of had a little but more than they did with variety and maybe a few more well known bands instead of local ones. Prices were pretty expensive in the venue which is probably why the tickets were cheap. The venue was nice and open. You could hear the bands play well. There Gould have been more seating and more bathrooms that were cleaner. Besides that though I had a lot of fun and will be going again next year!

It was great. Music was amazing, BMX stunts were really good.

I did not went to the concert but I bought the ticket for my daughter as a early birthday present, she got back home very sore because of mush pits, but happy also. She had a lot of fun and the greatest thing she could do on a spring break. Thank you for putting concerts like this I hope prices are still reasonable.

I had a lot more fun than I expected. Especially when sleeping with sirens played. By far the best concert I've ever been too!

This year was way better then last year. Last year had TO MANY PEOPLE. This year was crowded but still good. Mindless self indulgence was the best in my mind

It was a 16th birthday present for my Son. He and his friends had a blast!

It was really great. Good food, good music, cool events, and amazing people. This will be the Spring Break I will remember. The only thing to avoid is the drugs and mosh pits (: unless you're into that.. lol
