I love the Protomen, they put on such a great show. I can't wait for them to come back to Atlanta!

As always, the Protomen were pretty fantastic. They played two unreleased tracks (though they're scheduled to be released in a couple of weeks), so that's always fun. Most of them hung around after the show, signed autographs, and were very nice and relatable. Wasn't fond of the opening act, though. Their enthusiasm was great, but it just wasn't my thing. It's the difference between four and five stars.

It was an amazing show, the venue was small enough that is felt super personal and I was right next to the stage. The band members were super friendly and the music was face meltingly awesome.

You should go see the Protomen. Apparently reviews on this site have to be a certain length. I was just going to go with that first sentence. I like being concise. Anywho, you really really need to see the Protomen, or at least check them out on iTunes. Just do it. You won't regret it. They are awesome.

The room was filled with energy! Five Year Mission rocked out with their Star Trek music. After that, the show started in a very theatric way before bursting into a full out rock show of amazingness! The whole band is incredibly talented, and the lead singer has ridiculous range! They are possibly better live than on the studio albums. Make sure you stay around for an encore! You won't regret it! One of the most fun concerts I've been too!

Defendership
Let me start by saying that this is my second Protomen concert, the first happening maybe 2 years ago in Vancouver. I had been waiting for them to come to Denver for years and bought tickets literally the day they were available. It turned out to be unnecessary as they didn't sell out (a damn shame), but I'm still glad I had them secured asap. To understand why the Protomen show is so phenomenal, you have to understand why their album is so good. The Protomen identified their first two albums as a rock opera in two acts, wherein we see first the tale of Megaman/Protoman and second the story of Dr. Light. Both CDs truly play as if they could be performed on stage, with your imagination filling the musicless gaps. Listening the whole way through is an unforgettable experience. Even more unforgettable, then, is becoming a PARTICIPANT in this rock opera. The audience fills the role of "the city," responding when necessary and playing witness to the mayhem on stage. The theatrics are sparse but give enough of an extra edge to the show that I can promise you won't see anything else like it.
