In a word brilliant … two words: "really brilliant … I have not enjoyed a concert so much since the 60 s (perhaps with the exception of Pink Floyd at Red Rocks… perhaps…). The pairing of these two superstars was perfect. I was surprised that they spent much of the show on stage together, with just a few truly solo pieces thrown in… the work on their mutual songs was inspired - perfect harmonies and perfect blending of their voices and styles. Happily, the audience ranged from children to serious seniors… everybody on their feet dancing and singing along (some with moist eyes… guess who!!). It was also the first time I have seen my usually-reserved wife uninhibitedly ‘rocking-out at a performance… so it wasn t just me - or the 70-year-old, rather plump, lady to our left who danced and sang the night away too... I shouldn t forget to give top kudos to the combined musicians from both backing bands… each one of them were spectacularly talented… Truly amazing… Thank you Mr. Simon & Mr. Summers

The merging of Paul Simon and Sting was a night to remember. The format was a great way to present with their respective catalogs. The use of their bands added to the quality. Both performers showed a great deal of enthusiasm and had great vocal quality.

The concert was the best I've been to in years. The music board operator was the best. The blend and volume were on target. The choice of music was great. The rotation and transition on stage was truly wonderful.

Attending an event such as Paul Simon & Sting, two artists, each with their own legacy & pedigree, one may think it would be easy for them to just merely appear & mail in their performances. That was not the case at The Forum, last Saturday night. Sting & Paul Simon, backed by a stellar group of talented musicians, delivered inspired solo sets & pushed the envelope when performing together. Each took turns fronting the stage. Sting, mixing solo hits with Police classics & Simon, looking genuinely happy, playing an outstanding mix of solo tracks in varying styles. They saved their best for the times when performing together. Fields of Gold, Fragile, The Boxer & especially Bridge Over Troubled Water, with each sharing lead vocals, were performed with emotion & urgency. The set ended perfectly, with the duo alone on stage, quietly strumming the Everly Brothers, "When Will I Be Loved", drawing the show to an intimate conclusion.

Bucket List item for sure. Have loved Simon and Garfunkle and just Paul Simon forever. Sting is a newer passion but he's so fabulous! The concert definitely exceeded my expectations, Simon isn't a youngster anymore, but he's still got it!! I loved that we heard them individually and together, that they did each others songs, that Sting took Garfunkle's place. It was incredible!!

Just being there was wonderful. They both showed why they are such legends as they played and sang their own and each others songs. I actually thought the best part of the show were the fabulous musicians in the band. They were the best I had ever seen. Wow. Sound very good but maybe Paul Simon too soft. Seats: Very squished-fairly tight. Not comfortable, people in front left for some reason; so we put our legs over the seats. love the side, view was wonderful. Best angle in whole arena.

All i can say, is that if you get the chance to see these two icons performing together, take it. It was one of the most memorable concerts i have attended. Unlike other acts that go on tour together, these two sing each others songs together, then individually sing a repertoire of their own songs. As far as entertainment goes, trust me, you will be!! Bravo to Paul and Sting, and thank you for a wonderful evening.

We flew from Hawaii to see this concert in Denver, and we were so glad we did! The show was completely amazing. You get a solid 2 1/2 - 3 hour show (they started on time ended near 11 pm). They sing a great collection of both their hits. They play together for about half the show. It was an incredible experience. We'd go again in a heartbeat! Don't miss this show!

Enjoyed the concert. Sting was better than at previous show at Verizon. Simon was great on the rocking numbers but doesn't have the voice for the softer songs anymore it seems. Still, glad I went. Had never seen Simon before. Bottom line: if you are a hard core Simon or Sting fan, you will love it. If not, you will still enjoy -especially Sting. The man gives a great show. To the three chatterbox women in sec 115, row L, when the performers are singing, just shut up with the non-stop talking over the music. Some actually come to hear the act instead of you.

The calibur of musicians on stage was unparalleled. I really appreciate the organic nature of the music. If they used recorded backing tracks, I could not tell. Neither Paul Simon nor Sting have lost a bit with age. Their shared stage moments were terrifc. The respective styles of each artist complimented one another very well. In fact, my only "complaint" is that I would have liked to see more of them sharing the stage. Overall a very good show.

This show was filled with great sound and musicianship from 2 great backing bands. Sting & Paul shared the stage at many points, and performed solo with their bands at other times. Sting is the consumate singer/bass player and his songs with Paul were the standouts of the night. Paul's songs made you want to move your body in time with the rythyms. They started with 3 songs together, including a moving rendition of Fields of Gold. Sting then took center stage for a mini-set, followed by more collaborations and Paul playing a small set of his own songs. Sting's vocal performances on The Boxer and Bridge Over Troubled Waters were spellbinding, as well as on his own material including Driven To Tears, Every Little Thing She Does, Roxanne and Message In A Bottle. Audience clearly loved this show, and the sound quality was remarkable.

Contrasted with the recent Eagles concert, Simon/Sting was horrible. Okay, not contrasted with the Eagles? Still disappointing. The stage was overshadowed by Sting, even when both performers were on stage. Now, I know they were double-billled, and I did go for Paul (only). But still, this was truly a Sting concert with a guest appearance by Paul. That said, it was far too loud, with speaker distortion aplenty. I don't know why [they] seem to think louder is better, when it isn't. It was difficult to make out most of the lyrics, even when I knew the words. Sting kept to the spirit of his original songs, but Paul cheated on most of the melodies. He did get most of the words right, I'll give him that. For a 72-year old, he did okay. Add to that the motormouths that don't know how to act during a concert (sing along all you want, but knock it off with the loud conversations), and my wife and I left early. Two hundred bucks truly wasted on a concert that started late on a Sunday (work) night. We'll stay home next time and just pop in a CD. Man, I miss the 60's.

Classy, timeless, amazing sound ... That's what we experienced at the Sting and Paul Simon concert. Two extraordinary talents truly enjoying themselves, and blending their individual styles into a fun and harmonious experience. At times they performed together, then one would leave the stage for a while and hand it over to the other. Then visa-versa. Both of their voices are still strong and very capable of bring you to your feet, which they did over and over.

I saw Paul Simon & Sting at the Houston Toyota Center last night, and all I can say is wow. Just wow. I can't even begin to describe how incredible this show was. I'm a concert junkie, and at this point, I've seen probably thousands of concerts in my lifetime in too many genres and subgenres to count I've seen everyone from Nirvana to Prince to Paul McCartney to Kanye West to Judas Priest to Willie Nelson but this one is in my top ten of all time. I knew the potential was there for a great show- these are arguably the two greatest bandleaders of their respective generations - but I was trying to keep expectations reasonable. After all, I've seen both of them put on uninspired solo shows before, so this could have gone either way. But never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined how good it would actually turn out to be. They started out the show, both onstage together, playing a relaxed but in-the-pocket-groove version of Sting's Brand New Day. Already, there was something in the air you could just feel it. Sting often sleepwalks through this song in his solo shows, but tonight, all sixteen of the musicians onstage were locked into the kind of telepathy that only great bands can muster, and they elevated the song into a jazz classic. But that was just the beginning. From there, they played equally great versions of Paul Simon's Boy In the Bubble and Sting's Fields of Gold, which was even more hauntingly beautiful than usual. At that point, Paul Simon graciously thanked Sting for being a part of the tour and told the crowd how honored he felt to be sharing the stage with such a great musician a truly classy gesture that gave the crowd an insight into the camaraderie that these two long-time friends share. Then Paul Simon then left the stage, and it was Sting's turn. Sting proceded to run through a rousing version of Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, a lilting Englishman In New York, a funky jazzed-up version of I Hung My Head which Sting told the crowd was a country song even though, he jokingly noted, he was from England and not even the South of England. But it sounded nothing like any country song I've ever heard with its jazz horn charts and gospel-wailing backup singers. Still, it was great regardless. He then closed his first solo segment of the show with an intense Driven to Tears (one of only four Police songs he would play all evening). The two musicians reconvened for a brief runthrough of a relaxed but enjoyable Love Is the Seventh Wave and an equally relaxed but warm and winning Mother & Child Reunion. Then Sting patted Paul Simon on the back and headed backstage, leaving Paul Simon and his band to take the stage on their own. After a slow-burning Crazy Love Vol. II, he segued into a beautiful version of Dazzling Blue. At this point, many people left to go to the restrooms, leaving me to wonder how anyone could be unaffected by such a sublime song. But he quickly got everyone back inside the arena for a fantastically funky one-two punch of 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover and Me & Julio Down By the Schoolyard, followed by the rip-roaring zydeco of That Was Your Mother. Then both bands rejoined and took turns covering each other's songs Paul Simon did a note-perfect Fragile, and Sting did a haunting America (which he introduced with a poignant recollection of how it was the song that he most closely associated with his first journey to this country back in the late '70's). Then Paul Simon left the stage, and it was Sting's turn again. The energy went up a notch with Sting launching into a rousing Message In a Bottle, unfortunately followed by Hounds of Winter (in my opinion, one of the only dead spots of the evening). At this point, there was something of a mass exodus to the bathrooms and beer lines, which is regrettable because most of these people missed a gut-wrenching They Dance Alone. But an electrifying version of Roxanne, followed by a mesmerizing Desert Rose got everyone back to their seats. Then, Paul Simon and his band came back for a brilliant duet of The Boxer. Once again, Sting went backstage and Paul Simon took over. After a galvanizing The Obvious Child (which few people seemed to know, but most responded to enthusiastically), he took things down a notch with a plaintive Hearts and Bones. Again, a mass exodus to the restrooms, but this time, it was more understandable it's a good song, but it's not exactly a crowd-pleaser. To make matters worse, he extended this only other dead spot of the evening by following with a tepid cover of the iconic Mystery Train. To anyone familiar with any of the myriad versions of this song, most notably the possibly definitive Elvis Presley version, this run-through felt perfunctory, as did a brief segue into Chet Atkins' Wheels. At this point, I leaned over to my wife, who had been waiting all evening to hear Kodachrome one of her favorite Paul Simon songs and said, If he'll go ahead and play 'Kodachrome' now, all will be forgiven. And sure enough, that's exactly what he did. And from this point on, the show was nothing but a series of highlights, each seeming to bring the energy in the room up another notch. From the gospel fervor of Gone at Last to versions of Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes and You Can Call Me Al that may well have surpassed the iconic studio versions, by the time Paul Simon was finished, there was an electricity in the air recognizable only to anyone who has seen a truly classic show. Then, Sting and his band came back, and the two bands played together for the remainder of the evening, performing an incredible Every Breath You Take and a lively Late In the Evening. But then came the highlight of the night. The lights dimmed, and there was a gasp of recognition as everyone realized that they were playing the opening piano chords of Bridge Over Troubled Water. At that point, I'm sure many people were wondering the same thing as I was could Sting pull off Art Garfunkel's part one of the most iconic vocal performances of the rock era? As Sting hit the first notes, it seemed as if he might be holding back a little, but bit by bit, the song gradually built until, somewhere along the halfway point, everyone collectively realized that they were witnessing a piece of history. When the music swelled to a crescendo and Sting hit the final note, holding it for almost half-a-minute, the crowd fell silent, then erupted. The near-deafening applause of the standing ovation lasted for the duration of the time the bands spent backstage. My wife and I both wondered, Should we leave now? Could they possibly do another encore? I mean, how could they ever follow that? But finally, Paul Simon and Sting came back out and did a winsome cover of the Everly Brothers' When Will I Be Loved, lending the perfect grace note to an amazing evening. As the house lights came up, there was a collective sigh - nobody wanted this night to end. If you're on the fence about going to this show, don't be. Now, I'm aware that every performer (or group/duo) is subject to the occasional off-night, so I can't guarantee if you see them in your town that they'll be as amazing as they were last night, but if they are, you are in for the experience of a lifetime. If you don't have tickets yet, get them before it's too late. This is one for the ages.

Went to the concert on March 4th in New York. It was one of the most amazing experiences I ever had. Being a fan from Paul Simon I did not know what to expect, so the final result was a huge success for me. I was very much moved by the way these voices mingled! I love the idea of 2 full bands on stage and 2 headliners sharing the bill. The hits just kept coming and coming. Paul Simon was in his element as was Sting, one a NY native and one a transplanted NYer. The harmonies were superb and the banter pretty funny. If not for the crappy, too tight seats, this would easily have been in my top 3 shows ever. If they come your way, don't miss it.

Great concert! Sting was in fine form (in more ways than one), still sounds strong, and the songs never get old. Not sure why there are people who don't like him. The music is still good, after all this time. Dude can still rock! And looks great to boot! I'd never seen Paul Simon, and while the years have gone by, I was pleased with how he sounds. Great! Of course, he hasn't been screaming for 40 years, which helps, but he was simply in wonderful voice. The ticket prices initially put me off (I guess it is par for the course nowadays), but near-last minute I caved, and still got a good seat. And probably could have had a slightly better one, but lack of familiarity with the Honda Center prevented that. Not complaining, tho. Not in the least. I got what I paid for and came to see, and so I am one happy camper.

I saw Sting two years ago with his Symphonicity tour, and it was the best I had ever seen -- and I've seen a LOT of concerts in my life. So I had high expectations for this event. I like Paul Simon's music, but I wouldn't say I'm a fan per se. The show was over 2.5 hours nonstop of great classics (fantastic playlist) with positive energy. I had booked this for the last night of my trip to New York with my girlfriend and what a way to end the trip. It was an amazing gig in a great venue. There was no support acts needed. Paul Simon and Sting came out and played together, then Sting played, then both of them, then Paul Simon, then both of them, then Sting, then both of them, then Paul Simon, then both of them. I'd forgotton that these giants of the music industry had so many great songs over the years and made sure we got our moneys worth and much more. They were playing for about 3 hours with no breaks. The bands drowned out Sting & Paul Simon. Their voices sounded muffled. The show was set up poorly. They sang a few songs then Sting sang. Paul Simon joined, sang a few songs together then Paul Simon was on. They did this a few times. They should have sang one or two songs together then devoted a bulk amount of time to each performer then closed the show singing one or two songs together. Sting was incredible singing Bridge Over Troubled Water. Paul Simon seemed to rush through each song.

Was so happy to see Paul Simon - he still has his powerful voice and played to please the audience. Sting was also very lively - he put on a great show and seemed to be enjoying himself in the process. The two of them did a great job harmonizing. My only disappointment with the show was the God-awful lighting. We were up in the higher seats and throughout the night white lights glared in our faces. Several members of the audience were doing the same thing - holding their hands in front of their eyes to shield themselves from the annoyance. Wish they would have corrected it during the show.

Sting and Paul Simon were wonderful together. Having both their bands on stage created an energy that was electric! So much more than when they tour alone. I loved it!!!

This concert was amazing. Sting and Simon have such pure voices they sound as good as they did when they first started. They moved seamlessly from one song to another and shared the stage beautifully. Singing together on some songs and separating for a set it was just glorious. I hope they put out a cd of this tour I would love to relive it.

First, let me say how great the Amway Center is! We parked in the adjacent garage which made access to the Amway Center really quick and easy. It's well lighted, clean and busy. The ushers and attendants once in the Amway Center were great. Had a meal at their restaurant, Jernigan's, which was very nice. Lovely atmosphere, overlooking the arena floor. As for the concert, the main reason for being there...it was awesome. Sting and Paul Simon obviously admire and respect each other and it shows in their mutual performances of each others works. The duets were fun, lively, and better than expected. It was high energy and well done.

Individually they are fantastic, but together they are phenomenal!! They sound EXACTLY like they always have (age hasn't affected them at all!) because they are true acoustic musicians. What was amazing was the age span of the audience which reflected their true appeal........there were people from 25 to their 60's all up on their feet at times dancing and singing. ..

It was interesting to hear them perform each other's songs. It reminded me of the Billy Joel/Elton John tour a number of years ago when they started that tradition. The lighting was superb, the sound excellent and you really felt like you were part of something special. Sting made sure he sang some of his older, timeless hits - more so than Paul SImon did which the fans loved every minute of - especially this one!

Non-stop music. No breaks, not even pauses between songs. An amazing double-header. Both have such a deep catalog it was pure joy and dancing Their final encore, just 2voices, 2guitars and an Everly Brother ballad Beautiful! Seemed a strange pairing, but two accomplished singer/songwriters & a back up of deeply gifted musicians and singers, only the best!!!!!!!

Just kidding. The show rocked. Hard to believe that Paul Simon is 72 and Sting is 62. They absolutely rocked. The show brought my wife and myself back to our childhood and then through high school and college. It was awesome!!!

As the other reviewers mentioned, the show started a little after 8 and went almost until 11. They began the show together, then played individually, then sang together again. All of their major songs were done, and the band was incredible. Sting played a lot of Police songs, and Paul Simon even sang Every Breath You Take with him. They genuinely seemed to be having a good time on stage- Paul Simon jokes that he hoped to learn some things from Sting on this tour, like how to be more "Adonis-like." Being that it was at Madison Square garden, one of the highlights was Sting singing "Englishman in New York." Paul Simon was amazing- he played classics like "Me and Julio", "The Obvious Child", and "You Can Call Me Al." Overall, an unforgettable experience and performance.

For years I have loved Sting's music, and even longer the music of Paul Simon. I knew the night would be special, but it was spectacular! The sound in the Garden, and from these incredible bands, was astounding! Even in this arena, you could hear every note, every guitar string plucked, every trumpet trill, every drum beat, every violin bow pulled. The night was magical!

Both Sting and Paul Simon are legendary artists in their own right, but they were even better together. My wife and I had main floor seats, so we had prime viewing. Sting performed his own music, as well as some of The Police songs, some of which Paul Simon performed with him, and Sting performed some of Paul Simon's songs with him as well. They integrated both of their bands together on stage for the entire performance. What we loved most, besides the incredible talent of course, was how casual of an atmosphere the show created. Both Sting and Paul Simon truly love what they do and it shows. They're both more interested in the quality of the music than being overly "showy". It was a very memorable experience!

Sting & Paul Simon, neighbors and friends, performed like they had been playing together for decades. The three hour concert featured duets and solos; some solos of the other's songs. The band members playing so many different instruments so well. At one time there were four drummers! The final was an unplugged duet in tribute to the late Phil Everly: "When Will I Be Loved?". Moving. Awesome concert in every respect.

Both were at the top of their games. They also both had amazing backup bands and an amazing backup singer. When they all played together, it was magic. They both sang many of their own most famous songs, and even sang each other's together. A definite MUST SEE for MUSIC fans, not just only Sting & Paul Simon Fans. Then again, if you don't like these two guys, I'm pretty sure your taste in music is sadly lacking....

An amazing show:) they played together, they played their own songs and then they played each others songs. Paul Simon sounded exactly the same and is almost like a composer when I see him directing his band on stage. Sting also was fantastic and sounded great, the police are my favorite band ever and he did play some police, yay :) sounded great also

Stings Mixing Console fried and he was not able to do his songs. Paul Simon kept it going, but we did get shorted on the whole concert. i thought that was bad. there were a lot of songs on You-Tube they did at a lot of shows but we didn't get to see. Great Bands for both, Nice dual group too. They should have played more.

New stuff, old stuff, but all good stuff!! Paul sang Sting songs, Sting sang Paul songs and they sang together beautifully. I was amazed how different it was having the other artist sing favorite songs, but done with such respect of the original. The new songs were not a well received as the classics, but the crowd was up dancing most of the time.

LOVED IT

I read horrible reviews about the Forum renovation and operations on Yelp before the event. I went with an open mind, not expecting anything but great artists perform. Here is what I found: 1. Yelp Reviews: 'Horrible $25 Parking'. - I parked across the street for $15 and ease in/out 2. Yelp Reviews: 'Concessions take 40 minutes to place order' - No way! Really easy to order, hardly a wait anywhere! Really Nice Concession Staff 3. Yelp Reviews: 'Expensive $17 cocktails/ $15 Beers' - My beer was $7, and cocktail $12. 4. Yelp Reviews: 'Rude Power-Trip Security' - I found them to smile and be very helpful 5. Yelp Reviews: 'Really Hot no Air Conditioning' - It was perfect for me, and i run warm 6. Yelp Reviews: 'Bathroom Lines Way Long' - I am a guy, had no wait, but my wife did use the portapotty outside. She didn't have to wait and said it was very clean. 7. Yelp Reviews: 'Seats are Super Cramped' - I wouldn't know. I sat in a box and had PLENTY of leg room, along with waiter service for food and beverage. Paul Simon & Sting... GREAT. Sting sang Paul Simon songs, his songs, duo songs with PS... Paul did his songs, sounded ageless! 3 hours of greatness! Almost like 2 concerts for the price of one! Really a great time!!!

For 2 1/2 hours the Forum vibrated with the blazing, eclectic, dynamic sounds of music from Sting, Paul Simon and their multifaceted back up band. From the moment Sting and Simon hit the stage until their encore performance of the Everly brothers 2 1/2 hours later, they rocked the Forum non-stop. Both musicians discharged so much energy through their mastery guitar playing plus their cool, entertaining moves only rock musicians muster while on stage, you forgot how old these men were and returned to your youth too. My body danced and swayed to the music from the first note and was still humming with pure delight as I searched the parking lot for my seemingly lost car. They played all your favorite songs. They didn't disappoint. Those boys rocked!

Master performance. Master blending of two voices. Best band. Voices were strong, no sense of age at all. Smart arrangements to classics that made them even better. Went into this concert wondering why these two were touring together and assuming their voices wouldn't be strong. Exact opposite. This is the best concert I have ever heard. I wish I could get it on iTunes.

Sometimes, music goes further than sound. I felt it and so did the 20.000 others at the concert. It was the first time I ever got to go to a concert of either legend and I was anxious for disappointment. 63 year old Sting and 10 years older Paul Simon must have surely felt their respective ages hold them down, but they still give the performance of a lifetime. Their voices are still amazingly captivating, their combined ensemble among the best of the greatest. There were moments in the venue where the entire crowd held their breath and felt goosebumps form on their skin, right after which another 'The Police' song took over to create a blissful atmosphere. Their concert lasted over 2,5 hours which still left you with a feeling of emptyness because you knew they could continue on for the same time and continue filling everybody's heart with hapiness. Still not convinced? Money can't buy happiness, but this is the closest thing. The shortcomings of the artists were easily overcome by the amazing band they brought along. Promising talented people of all ages and ethnicities. The best violin solo I had ever experienced and they provided a new, interesting take on the classic songs by Sting and Simon. Familiar but new, and arguably better than the original. Regards, a 19 year old enthuosiast who is extremely picky and critical at everything.

Two legends together, LOVE! Two amazing voices singing together on their biggest songs, LOVE! One unforgettable 3-hour performance, LOVE! I paid an incredible amount of my hard earned money for 3 hours of Sting & Simon and I can tell you without any hesitiation or doubt that I would do it again in a heartbeat! They chimed in and sang their best songs and only occasionally would one leave the stage to allow the other their own stage time. In an age when most artists give separate shows, these two went WAY against the grain and did their own thing and I and the entire arena loved every minute! Great voices that have not wavered with time and superb performances without disappointment! This was one of those rare moments and I felt so very lucky to be in their presence!
