It was a great night with lots of music history. It was great to learn about all the inductees. Some big names like Don Felder, Oak Ridge Boys were great to see. Nashville is lucky to have Rockabilly legend Brenda Lee, who is a Woodbine resident! The four hour event was a bit long not to have an intermission. Glad to see the Municipal Auditorium being saved, after it's historical fifty plus year history. I think Will Lee & Barbara Mandrell seemed to enjoy dancing to the music together! Corki Casey O'Dell said it was the greatest night of her life! It was also interesting to hear Curb record Mike Curb talk about how he has always treated people and has always given back half of his business profits.

To see all these great musicians on one stage was nothing short of phenominal! From Peter Frampton to Rick Skaggs to Garth Brooks. Unbelievable. One of the best concerts I could imagine.

This evening was one of the most special events That I have ever attended. The storytelling of these inductees along with their performances was just outstanding. I am looking forward to going to this event next year.

What an amazing show. I am a big fan of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble and went to the last show to watch them be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I didn't know what to expect when I entered the auditorium was pleasantly surprised. I walked in with Tanya Tucker and Mandy Barnett ,funny thing was I didn't know who they were until I asked someone. My friend and I sat down next to Barbara Mandrells family and this years inductee Ricky Skaggs. This show was not only entertaining but educational also with narration from inductees friend and co workers in the music industry and video presentations highlighting the inductees lives. Of course the music was fantastic. Randy Bachman stole the show I thought. Chris Izzak opened the show and was a pleasant surprise. Framptom looked like he was having as much fun as anyone at the show. Loved Kenny Waynes Story of how he met SRV and was motivated to his musical career. I have a new appretiation of Barbara Mandrell, what an incredibly talented and amazing woman. I already have plans for this years show and hope to attend many more in the future.

We attended the very first induction 4 years ago and was amazed at all the talent in one room. We enjoyed this year's induction and again was over whelmed by all who was honored and all who attended the show. Just sitting in the seats and looking around us at the stars next to us was wonderful.

The Municipal Auditorium was built in the 1950's and looks like a UFO that has landed in downtown Nashville. Most people are not aware that it now houses a museum for the Musician's Hall of Fame. The 2014 awards ceremony was the first they have held in a few years. Most of the recipients are session players who are not exactly household names, but you have heard them play on thousands of records in genres ranging from country to rock and roll and R&B. This was a great opportunity to hear top notch musicians do what they do best. Chris Issac sang 2 Roy Orbison songs, including "Pretty Woman," which got the "Iconic Riff" award. He is one of the few singers around with the vocal chops to pull this off. Duane Eddy and Corki Casey O'Dell played an instrumental that sounded just as good today as the surf records they did back in the 60's. Will Lee, the long-time bass player on the David Letterman Show, teamed up with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top on an obscure Iron Butterfly cover, as well as the Motown hit "Thank You" and ZZ Top's "La Grange." Billy Wayne Shepherd and the surviving members of Double Trouble shredded their guitars on some of the late Stevie Ray Vaughn's best known tunes. Another guitar hero, Peter Frampton, played "Do You Feel Like I Do" and told some great anecdotes about playing with George Harrison. The Oak Ridge Boys had everybody on their feet singing "Elvira" accompanied by Jimmy Capps, a very smooth guitar picker who still plays at the Opry. Neil Young gave a moving tribute to the late Ben Keith, who played steel guitar on most of Neil's albums, not to mention Patsy Cline's "I Fall to Pieces." The biggest disappointments were that Buddy Guy could not make it to the ceremony, and Neil Young and Barbara Mandrell did not perform, although it was fun watching Barbara dancing on the side of the stage during many of the other performances. The man who stole the show was Canadian rocker Randy Bachman, co-founder of the Guess Who and BTO. When he started playing that droning guitar riff from "American Woman," chills went up my spine. This was a fun night I got a bit of music education in the process. If you are ever in Nashville go see the museum as well.

if you told me 5 years ago you can see Duane Eddy and Peter Frampton on the same bill would say it wouldn't happen in NYC. But on Jan.28,2014 in Nashville those 2 plus Will Lee, Randy Bachman, Corky O'Dell , Kenny Wayne Shepard with Double Trouble and probably the coolest guitar slinger in town Jim Capps tore the roof off the auditorium in a show that both an induction and a revelation of why God created Nashville. This was the greatest show I ever saw.

It was a joy to see those great musicians being inducted, as well as hearing from the celebrities who inducted them. I enjoyed the format of the show, and thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. It was great to hear Peter Frampton do his signature song, "Feel like I do". The guitar show by Randy Bachman was totally awesome. As a long time fan of the Oak Ridge Boys, their part of the show was a sheer pleasure, as well. Kenney Wayne Shepard had my wife and me rocking out to his Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute. Hearing Duane Eddy's unique guitar had me wishing that some of my friends and relatives could have been there to re-live those wonderful sounds. I expected a good show, but this exceeded all my expectations. Great job, guys and gals.
