V101/WDIA Valentine's Show

The entire concert was excellent. The Jones Girls, Zapp and Confunkshun were still as good as they were back in the day. BUT, Lakeside has and always will be my favorite. They were excellent. Good to see Otis back.

It was a great old school over 45 yrs of age concert. It was an unforgettable night for a party. The line up was fantastic. The music brought back so many good memories. The atmosphere had folks giving high fives and just grinning about " I remember this song". The party can not be duplicated. My only regret was that the HEADLINERS " Confunkson" was cheated on time. I hope this show will be repeated but give the HEADLINERS time to perform. The Jones Girls were not announced. Elimanate them and give the bands more time. It should have beeen an old school BAND concert.

The show was AWESOME!! I did expect to hear to "real love" by lakeside.

GREAT event My Husband and I ENJOYED it from the beginning to end.

Please bring Zapp back next time... I really enjoyed the entire show.

I have to give it to Zapp and Confunkshun, they turn it out. They song their love songs, which is what the night was about. Lakeside could have song more love songs. That was my only disappointment.

I thouhgt the whole show was spectacular. That was the best old school party I have been to in years.

I would recommend this concert when ever it comes to your area. I would rate it more than 5 stars. Con Funk, and Lakeside were the next best in that order. When Lakeside came out in ther pirate suits it took me back when I seen them while stationed at Ft Hood.

The overall Show did not meet my expectation ( Jones sister struggled to completed her act, Lakesides performance had our ears ringing all night until the next day). The event started late which was not well however Zapp was outstanding.

All the groups were good but Zapp was outstanding they still have the moves and the sound.

The Jones girls bought back songs I we had forgotten whom performed them and Confunksion still delivered. Zapp presented the best show however, you might wonder if, their music was live or recorded. Lakeside sound was extremely loud and the bass drowned out their vocals. Overall, we enjoyed the entire show.

My husband and I were looking to have some old school fun and that's what we got. Lakeside, The Jones Girls, can't wait for the next one!!!

Lakeside was off the change, they brought up beat freshness to the show with wonderful singer's and dancing. I went last year, glad I was able to see the lead singer performed his last concert. Looking forward to see you all next year!!

It was great!! All of the artist did wonderful. Zapp made you want to party all night long. I forgot how much I enjoy their music!! 5 stars***** I am not putting down the other artists, I enjoyed them!! I just enjoyed Zapp the most!! I would go see them again if they came back next month!! Great job WDIA & V101!!

Very good concert, mature adult atmosphere, no nonsense. The musical artist were very good!

ZAPP was amazing. They put on a whole show by themselves . Everyone did a great job but ZAPP showed out

I enjoyed everything about the show; all the radio personalities, Tom Joyner, and all the groups. The groups were great, but ZAPP stole the show - performing like Roger was there with them!! My sisters and I truly enjoyed the show!

We had a wonderful time with friends and family before, during and after the show. The event was well organized. The location, service, and sound quality were EXCELLENT!! We are looking forward to next event.

The acts were great! I enjoyed The Zapp Band the best of all. The venue was not so great. The seats were cramped. No leg room and I'm 5'3". The overhead projections was terrible. They were not clear. If you were not close enough to see the performers on stage you couldn't tell who you were looking at on the overhead.

Excellent show....most definitely worth the $$$ and drive

The groups performance were good but the sound was not up to par. There was to much bass and it drowned out the singers. I was in section D and directly in the line of the speakers. It was so loud that the bass was shaking the floor in section D. I noticed about halfway thru the show they had to remove some equipment that controlled the sound. It also appeared as if Tom Joyner was late getting there and the WDIA team had to fill in but was not sure who would do it.

Stan BELL set the scene....show started on time ......opening show was cool.....lineup was excellent......Lakeside and CONFUNSHUN.....WERE SUPER .........but sound system sucks....too much treble....midrange...hurted my ears......too loud ....otherwise ......wonderful show.......got my money worth.....and then some

REALLY INJOYED THE SHOW GOOD SEEING ALL THE WDIA RADIO PERSONALITIES!
