Grassroots Music Festival

Awesome concert. All day event. CCR was excellent as was Lynyrd Skynyrd!!! We plan on attending next year!!!

A ton of people didn't show up I was really disappointed and kinda want my money back

Overall, lots of fun. This was clearly the best run of the three day show and early on the least populated. But that was great for my clan who had some shade, good music and lots of cold beer. The highlight was of course Lynard and CCR - both sounded great, played up to the crowd and was just a whole lotta fun! I'll be back next year.

One of the best shows I've seen 311 put on. This was the first Grassroots Festival of many and I hope to be at most of them!

Awesome festival! We had a really great time. At first we were a little leery of the venue but it turned out to be perfect.

The venue was awesome, all the bands were great especially 311. I had the best time. I had bought the tickets for my fiancé for an anniversary present because 311 is his favorite band & they always put on a good show. We both enjoyed the concert.

Two of the big performers ( Fetty Wap and Schoolboy Q ) didn't even make an appearance even though they were listed on the schedule. They weren't even in the area during the festival. The staff wouldn't even tell us if Schoolboy Q was going to be there or not, every time we asked we got a ""maybe". Fetty Wap and Schoolboy Q were the performers I was looking forward to most and I was disappointed to not be able to see them when I paid money to see them. I don't think I'll be attending another Grassroots festival again.

After waiting in line outside in 95* for 1.5 hours as we watched fellow concert goers drop like flies in the heat, we finally made it into the show. Once we got in, everything was surprisingly organized. Plenty of drink booths/food stands/porta potties, etc. Show was great- everyone that performed put on a memorable show and of course Cudi blew it up. Second time seeing him in a year and even though he is short and sweet with his performances, it was well worth the, uh, 10 hr wait in the August sun to see him.

I paid the extra money for the VIP meet and greet tickets and when we were waiting for the artists the security informed us that the festival didn't even tell the artists about the meet and greets so I spend $100 more than I should have for nothing. The VIP section wasnt even in front of the stage, you couldnt even see the stage from the VIP section. Very disappointed in the festival over all. Will NOT be returning.

I had a great time at day 1 and day 3 of Grassroots. The artists sounded good, the people were really nice, and there were a lot of cool vendors. However, the main reason I went on day 3 was for schoolboy Q, who did not show up so I was a little upset I spent the money to see artists I didn't really care about. Day 1 I was also quite excited to see Fetty Wap, who also don't show up. I think I deserve money off my ticket for this happening twice to be honest. Happening once was one thing, but twice was a bit ridiculous. I hope the continue to do Grassroots though since it's the only music festival we have around here. They can always improve next year!

First of all the tickets were for a VIP meet and greet and they didn't let any of us meet the artists!! Also the view from the VIP area was awful you couldn't see the stage at all!! The only way to view the show was on the screen!!

Two of the main acts didn't even show up to the festival!!!!! Fetty wap says he was never even scheduled! Schoolboy q canceled! I was extremely upset about schoolboy but even more upset that they never even announced that he wasn't comming! Besides these no shows the festival was actually really fun. Mac miller, kid Cudi, logic, lupe fiasco and Dj snake were all super hype.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars and recommended it was because the artists put on great shows. That's really the only up I have. No all the bad that this event had. I stood in line for 45 minutes but I know people who stood in line for 3 or more hours. The crowd eventually broke down the fence and ran in. They made you buy tickets for food, water, and drinks. This was a very unneeded step. The line for tickets got to be really long and tickets were expensive and the stands started to run out of water and it was really hot. I wish they would of had an option to refil bottles instead of buying a new one everything. I'm sure by now that everyone knows fetty wap didn't show up and I don't think he was ever scheduled, they just used his name to get more people in the door. Also kid cudi didn't come on stage till like 45 minutes after he was suppose to. Overall they executed very sloppy but like I said the artists were all good.

Can I give zero stars? This event was the worst music festival I have ever been to. Don't waste your money because the acts they have advertised might not show up.

If it weren't for the Dom Group failing to let the artists no about the meet and greet I might have felt like I got my money's worth for the VIP tickets. There was only 1 gate for about 25,000 fans, which found some people waiting in line for up to four hours. TSA style pat downs for dudes, everyone got wanded, only a few ATMs w/ $4 fees with lines that lasted up to an hour. Fetty Wap's name on the set list was a scam. Not only was the VIP section lame, there were no free amenities, like maybe some water or something...that's what I would expect for paying an extra $100. We didn't even get the meet & greet with the artists that we were promised for the price of our tickets. But other than that, the shows were pretty great.

Fetty Wap didn't show up, Kid Cudi came on 1 hour after he was supposed to, really unorganized.

worst concert i have ever been apart of, went to the first day stood in line for 3 hours to get inside and stand in line another hour to get cash for a water, at that point we were done and left, i had a 3 day pass i did not attend any other day, they said fetty, and school boy q were gonna be there they were not and didnt plan on going.

I was very excited to support the Omaha - Metro area in their ability to bring great bands to a great location however every aspect of the event from check in to watching the venue was utterly terrible. It took nearly 1.5 hours to get in. There was absolutely NO direction to keep the line moving and concert goers were simply waiting around in the hot sun. The security was verbally abusive and did not act professional. Upon finally reaching the ticket tent I stated I had WILL CALL tickets to be picked up. The taker explained there is no WILL CALL and I should have tickets via email or printed off. After explaining he simply just let me pass. WOW! Very professional. After this FETTY WAP "Misses" his flight. Later it was revealed that FETTY WAP was never scheduled. WOW! The whole show was completely off schedule. They ran out of beer and it was a huge mess. Finally Kid Cudi went on 60 minutes after schedule and his audio quality was the worst I have ever heard at a venue. After four songs my crew left and will never return.

Never again, worst concert that has ever come to Nebraska.

i had an amazing time at grassroots don't get me wrong but I was not satisfied. all three days were unorganized. bands played at different times and artists were said to be there and then did not show up. the whole reason I wanted to go the third day is because of schoolboy Q. I and many others were very disappointed about him not being there, along with fetty wap. along with that waters, gatorades, alcohol, and food was WAY over priced. how do you expect us not to get dehydrated! if kid cudi hadn't of been their I would have rated this concert with 1 star. the canceling of artists that I so badly wanted to see and the overpriced drinks/food made me want a refund! I payed 117$ to see the people I thought were going to be there. we at least deserved an explanation. grassroots should work on making this an awesome experience for the fans because that's what it's all about right??

Grass Roots Music Festival looked entertaining this year. However, overall the show was not worth the money I spent. Organization was poorly planned. Infrastructure was mildly supportive of the amount of people. The management of artists was delayed and worst of all headliners did not even show up. Friday and Sunday - The days I went. Two artists that I specifically wanted to see and were promoted online and on the radio did not show up. There had been talk in the crowd that they were never booked. Overall the user experience was very poor. The festival experience is meant to be a quality experience for everyone that attends. This spans from restrooms, ease of access to food / drink, supply of food and drink, entertainment, and of course value of music. I think that anyone who promotes artists and then fail to deliver should provide a refund. I can imagine that with how poorly this was ran, there will be no refunds because the organizers are not even capable of pulling off a task like that. All negativity aside, there were some bright points and they were the wonderful artists who stuck it out and gave us their all. If anything saved the overall experience it was the artists. They played hard and delivered quality entertainment. That at the end of the day brings me the joy I look for.

First day system was not organized well with 3 hour lines to get in which caused missing some acts. False advertising as performers didn't show up who were on the line up. Sunday the system was smoother but another big act didn't show and the performers were all pushed back on time and you could tell they stalled under pressure. OVERALL DJ SNAKE KILLED IT! That was all because of him though.

It was very unorganized really couldve been done a lot better than it was. Times weren't a factor which is ridiculous and both days I went performers went in the wrong order which ive never once experienced before. The entrance was also terrible there was one frickin line to get in as if it was a damn high school dance. Overall the "festival" was kind of a joke, if you choose to bring big names make sure its more organized or else youll get a bad rep like you're starting to get now...

I was so disappointed to learn that 2 performers that I really wanted to see who were a main reason on why I bought my ticket "canceled". I was very upset because Schoolboy Q was the only performer I actually knew on the Sunday concert, and Fetty Wap was a main reason I bought my ticket for Friday. I wish this event was more organized and actually had the performers that they advertised. What made the situation worse was finding out the day of the event on Twitter & not from the official event itself. All the food & drinks were ridiculously priced. I was satisfied with the performers I did see & know, but I wish things would have been constructed better. I also disliked that you could not re-enter the event. You should have been able to. I would never go to this type of concert again or reccomend it to a friend. I was very disappointed and I feel like I wasted my money.

I want to start off by saying that nearly every artist I saw was amazing. The sets they played and the hype they brought with them was truly awesome. Other than that, this "music festival" was a joke. Waited 2 hours to get in on the first day as they patted down every single person at the one entrance to the park. Schoolboy Q backed out after hearing all the negative reviews, and Fetty Wap wasn't there because he said he was never even scheduled. Ran into Tommy O'Gorman and politely asked him if Schoolboy was going to be there on the last day. He very rudely replied by telling my friend and I that it was our fault for scaring Schoolboy Q away with the negative social media attention. The music was great, but I would recommend going somewhere else if you're looking for an actual music festival.

This concert was AMAZING!!! Logic, Mac Miller and Kid Cudi all killed it. one of the best shows ive went too.

This music festival was so poorly organized it didn't even matter who was playing and how they performed. First of all, it took HOURS to get into the venue, there were maybe 9 people checking tickets at the front gate, they also were letting girls in before boys, I'm not complaining about that, but wasn't sure if I was at a night club or a concert.... Extremely unprofessional. Once you were finally inside, there were multiple other lines to wait in. 30 minutes to get your ID checked, another 30 minutes for the ATM another 30 minutes to get tickets to purchase drink/food tickets and then an even longer line to actually get food or drinks. Then not to mention many tents were running out of alcohol. But the biggest disappointment of all was the false advertising. On the website, ticketmaster and my confirmation emails it said Fetty Wep was going to be there, then he didn't show and tweeted that he was never on the line up. I don't understand how an organizer of a concert is able to false advertise. This music festival conned tens of thousands of dollars out of its attendees.

Was the most unorganized event I have ever been to... And multiple performers that were on the lineup did not even show. Would never spend the money on it again, definitely not worth it.

Solid lineup. Great night of music. We originally bought tickets to see Logic because we loved his album "Under Pressure. Logic was amazing and Mac Miller and Kid Kudi's sets were on-point as well. Set design for Kid Kudi was incredible. Great visual effects and great performance. He is an entertainer and brings something different to hip hop. The only negative part of the event was the lack of organization. One of the headliners didn't show, lines were long, and event staff was sparse.

Paid for meet and greet tickets and didn't get to meet anyone! Extremely disorganized and disrespectful staff.

This event only received 2 stars due to the extremely poor organization. We waited in line for 2 hours to get in, they ran out of drinks, and 2 headline artist failed to show. Kid Cudi made all the fuss worth it. This man can straight perform. I would've paid face value just to see this dude play again.

I had a generally terrible time at grassroots on Friday. Besides the line being ridiculously long to get in as well as to get a drink, there were so many other obnoxious things that made this event a waste of money. I really wanted to buy a shirt but for some reason there was no merchandise tent.. And the large amount of underage people drinking was insane! Overall a horrible experience.

Kid Cudi and Logic gave outstanding performances! Mac Miller was horrible. The event was a little disorganized as it took forever to get in the gates, but it was worth the wait!

I would recommend checking out festivals at this venue! It was clean, green, and all around excellent! I will be attending in the years to come! Also the sound was great all the way back!!!!!

A nice first year festival put on by the DOM group. 311 was a natural pick to headline a festival named after their second album.

Extremely disappointed in the organization of this event. I bought tickets with the intent of only watching Matisyahu who was scheduled to play at 6:30. We scheduled a babysitter so my wife and I could go to the show. This would have been our 4th year in a row of seeing Matisyahu. The lineup did not play in order and we could not find anyone who had information on when he was going to actually come on. We ended up leaving around 8 pm and apparently he finally played late that night, but I was unable to stay that late and would have never wasted money on tickets had I known that.

I enjoyed all of the bands that played Grassroots. I especially enjoyed Pomeroy, POD and Lupe Fiasco. Good day of music overall!

The VIP area was an absolute joke. There was no roped off section for chairs only.

I can't completely bash the festival as some have already. We got a few big-name artists to come to NE/IA who lived up to that pedigree in their performances (i.e. Cudi, Lupe, DJ Snake, P.O.D., etc.). I mostly enjoyed the experience with close friends all while being close to home. Issues: Unprepared, unorganized, overwhelmed, no follow-thru, unprofessional staff (outside of food merchants/stage staff) Fetty Wap and Schoolboy Q were headlined and never showed. Day 1 entry was a fiasco and luckily no one was seriously injured in the melee (other than a couple of tazed idiots). By Day 3, the only food available was pork sandwiches (think Chicago Dawg House walked away after Day 1).

Would never go to a grassroots festival again. Headline didn't show. I want my money back

Bands did not play when they were scheduled. Multiple artist did not show up because the event organizers never scheduled them. The bands that did play were awesome but the festival was poorly organized with very little communication.

The only reason I spent $60 on a ticket to this event was to see Schoolboy Q, and he didn't even show up! I wasn't aware of this until the event had already started. This was a TERRIBLY unorganized event that I won't waste my money on again.

Arrived about 2:30 for the afternoon/evening set. We appreciated that the bands without much star power played short sets. Enjoyable, recognizable, but short. Pure Prairie League was probably the biggest disappointment for me. The lack of original singers was most noticeable during their set. Blue Oyster Cult performed well enough, but didn't seem to fit with the rest of the bands. Marshall Tucker was a pleasant surprise! Still enjoying entertaining and it shows. Good musicians can play forever. CCR did not disappoint at all. Nice set with plenty of hits. Saw Skynyrd last year and enjoyed them just as much this year. They work hard to keep the crowd engaged. Even after hours in the sun seeing them again was worth the wait.

Way to much time between bands. Prices for food & drinks were ridiculous. S

Lots of music and groups.....A.R.S. was the one that really surprised me...these guys were SPOT ON !! I really enjoyed them...after all of my 55 years...I had never seen them ....man , now i wish i had....but this performance was great!!! Next was Pure Prairie League....these guys were right on the mark too!!!played all their stand by's....and kept the crowd going....great performance...this was the third time i have seen them, ...and have never walked away feeling they sucked....then came Marshall Tucker Band....one of my all time favorite bands.... I have seen them A LOT ...musically ,...they were super tight.....sadly, Doug Grey's voice has left him, but he is a big enough man to admit it, and had some of the others sing ......they sounded great.....the flute player is every bit as good as Jerry Eubanks.....LOVED them...Doug kept the crowd engaged.....then came Blue Oyster Cult.....truthfully,...I have never been that big of a fan, ......BUT...THESE GUYS R O C K E D ...one song after another...great playing!!! I I was very surprised!!! a truly great job.....Then Credence Revisited.....I must admit...I am a Fogarty diehard fan....at first felt kinda mad at this tribute band.....but, they did a great job, ...and the dude could sing every song , and covered them all well....Last was Skynyrd....what can ya say.....they put on one hellova show..I have seen them numerous times...including the orig. line up.......I was truly worried about Billy Powell's Replacement....but he did a fantastic job....Mr. Vanzant was spot on and kept the crowd of us Sr. citizens rocking!!...Ricky Medlocke.....wow !!....Plenty of porta potties, no real long lines for beer, or water, or food.......people were complaining about 10 buck tall boys, but hell look how many bands we got to see for 50 bucks.....and thankfully, bottled water was only a couple of bucks,.....so, if it was blazing hot....you would not have dropped.....close by parking....albeit 15 bucks....but what the hell i did not have to hobble far !!!....fast let out at the end too.......

Hours and hours of rock and roll ,Southern and other styles that resonate with all generations. Many more young people than I expected,much more fun as well!

I never appreciated event coordinators, until this festival. Now I realize how many things can go wrong. The line was so long when we got there that we thought we had accidentally bought tickets to a free festival. I thought about just leaving and going home. BUT then I thought it would probably be worth it to see Fetty Wap. Then Fetty Wap never showed up. There was SO much more but I actually don't have the time to continue with the disappointments.

I noticed a lot of people complained about this show, but in that I was assuming a lot of them haven't been to many festivals. Yes, it was hot out, but anyone would be exhausted after being in the sun for 10 hours, so I didn't show up until about 7, for the headliners. I also noticed many people complain about the lines, when there were a few entrances but for whatever reason everyone was going through the main one.. I noticed a line of about 300 people and walked right by them into a different entrance with only 5 people in line, haha.. Wasn't disappointed Fetty Wap didn't perform, because I'm not a huge fan. But Mac and Cudi blew it out of the water! Talk about a high school throw back, I had a blast. Thank You for bringing something like this to Nebraska finally!!

The people running the event were obviously new and didn't know how to properly run a festival. In order to get food/drink you had to get an ID band, get tickets, then get a drink. The redundancies were ridiculous. The music was great but they weren't able to pay the artists so some of the headliners didn't show up. This should never happen.

I bought a VIP "meet and greet" pass for the first day and when I went through the line they didn't even give me my VIP pass because of how unorganized this even was luckily I brought my receipt with me to prove I bought it or I wouldn't have been given my pass. Why I want a refund is because first off Fetty Wap wasn't even scheduled to come to the event and they said he would be there, two none of the artists knew of this so called "meet and greet" so I only was able to see one of the artists who was in a rush because he had to go to his next event. Third off a lot of people who didn't pay for the VIP "meet and greet" tickets for an extra 100 dollars rushed through the gates to an artists camper and were able to stay but when my friends and I with passes went over they told us we had to leave right away

Band lineup was awesome, good music, venue was clean and did a nice job. We all had a great time. Restrooms were clean.

The festival was fun but the cancelations of fetty wop and school boy q were horrible, since those were two of the big names that I went for.

The music was great. It would have been nice to be able to go in and out instead of being told we couldn't leave. That was a long time in the heat and everything was so expensive.

On one of the hottest days of the summer, we went out to enjoy some good old rock n roll. We had easy access to the park tho it did cost $15 to park!!!! Beer was expensive, food lines sometimes long (especially those who took credit cards and couldn't get a line thru to swipe the card cause everyone was on their cell) and some tents ran out of food early in the day. The bands we heard were all pretty good....esp. CCR and Skynyrd ! Crowd was fun and didn't get out of control like the previous day!

I bought a VIP ticket and as i got there i was starting to really like it, but as soon as i got to the VIP section you couldn't even see the singer on the stage. It was also suppose to be a meet and greet. Now Logic was a good guy and actually visited the VIP section. Fetty Wap didn't show. Mac Miller could have easily visited the VIP section but just decided to not even see them. Kid cudi didn't even meet the VIP section. My friend was so excited because the ticket is clearly stated that it would be a meet and greet. Seeing that the VIP section clearly felt like you were being side-benched was awful. Spending 100 dollars more to sit on the side made no sense. Tried talking to the security about where there higher up was and each time it was asked they would tell you something completely different. Talked to one of the important managers after the concert was over and he said it was out of his control. That was a ridiculous first concert I have ever been too. Will never go to a festival or rap concert again.

People who had pre-purchased tickets still had to wait in line for several hours to get in, then another long time in a line to buy food/drink tickets, and yet another long line to get the actual drinks... which they ran out of. Food options were terrible. I tried the "brisket nachos" which were gas station quality chips and canned cheese with fatty brisket pieces on top... for $16. They had long waits in between acts. The advertised start times for the acts were completely off schedule and it ended up being just a lot of stoner 20 year olds in the crowd. I just expected more for a $80-$100 ticket. I will never go again!

It's was fun but the lines were long, things were overpriced, and I didn't get to see everybody that I paid to see.

I bought the three day pass, the first day was chaos.Waiting in line to get into Grassroots, waiting in a mob of people for I.D. Passes, tickets(to purchase beer and food) and drinks (also heard of stands running out of beer?). I was upset at the fact you needed tickets to purchase some items. The second & third day didn't seem as hectic, not many long lines and such. The performances were fantastic! The vibes from the crowd were insane. I was sad to hear that a couple artists didn't show up/had scheduling issues. There was definitely a big difference between the organization of last years show compared to this years. I hope they either use a different company/business next year to organize this event or learn from their experiences this year to improve and provide a better experience for attendees.

I feel that the Grassroots Festival could still improve itself for the next year mainly in sound, parking, and knowing what to expect now.

Best day of my life. Getting to meet new people and all the amazing acts. I would definantly go next year!

4/5 stars. Amazing time. Beer was way overpriced though. Would be 5 stars if fetty wap would have shown up like he was supposed to but oh well.

The second day was the best, the first and last were horrid. The trash from people was horrible. The line was horrid, people fainting was miserable, there wasn't any tents for people to hide under. With those conditions and weather staff should have been more prepared for the guests and their conditions and water being over priced along with alcohol was not okay. Some people can't afford as much as others it was rediculoisz :)

3 headliners no showed, ONE GATE FOR 5,000 AT 1PM AND THEY EXPECTED 15,000+. VIP meet and great didn't happen. Trashiest of the trash festivals. No one go next year

Great concert but didn't get what I paid an extra hundred dollars for. I purchased the VIP Meet and Greet pass. I only met logic because Mac ditched right away and Cudi only met a select few people, most of which didn't even have VIP access. Also, Fetty Wap and Schoolboy Q, both of whom were scheduled, didn't come because apparently they weren't even told about the event. Great performances all around but still don't believe I got all that I paid for. I feel I should get some refund.
