The review title says it all. It is all new for this generation so the title needs to be changed to fit this generation. There was nothing there that I could relate to near "homecoming " it was just entertainment no uplifting of the Lord or praising of his name, oh sure they did mention him but they really did not praise him put their heart and soul into it they just entertained us. Bill just seemed lost and did not know what to do with him self . Mark Lowry was the only one there that I could relate to, and he related to us, and tolled it like it is.

I grew up watching the Gaither homecoming tours on tv and it was amazing to see it in person! I took my parents last year and decided to take t entire family this year as their Christmas gifts! It was fantastic! As a singer I long to be up there singing next to them!
What a night! I have always wanted to hear more of the vocal band, so a night that they were the only preformers was special. David Phelps and Mark Lowery have always been favorites of mine, but Wes, Michael and Bill are no slouches either. I would go again and soon if possible. I was in Gatlinburg, TN in May 2009 to the Family Fest. and had a great time, almost 15 hours of music in three days. I highly recommed this and any Gaither presentation.

The 5 part harmonies are unbelievable! There was a sweet spirit in the air, you could tell that Jesus was in our midst. Just when you think Bill Gaither has done it all, he comes up with a 5 member Vocal Band. It was really nice to here more of the Vocal Band.

I think it was one of the very best shows I have seen in awhile. All the artists were very great and the show was amazing. I would recomend this to all my friends to see. Its not often that so many great preformers are on one stage together. Each song was outstand and each preformer was great.

I was at and Omaha concert last year and this was much better the sound was excellent at pershing our seats were great I took my 10 yr. old grandson and I was excited how much he enjoyed every song loved Gordon Motte Kevin Williams and the Gaithers. after the 1st song some one behind me said this is why we pay $50.00. aman to that. also had 2 others with me that had never been to a gaither concert, they were totaly over whelmed. You need to come to Lincoln more often. I have almost have all your DVD and I asked when this group would be coming out with another one and they said maybe around christmas time can hardly wait. did not get to mike english's booth do not no if he has any cd or not . every one should read his book makes you think alot different about mike how he sings and what he sings and the meaning he put into his songs. thanks again for being in Lincoln thank the Lord for your singing.

This was the best gaither Event I have ever seen!!! I have been to several and loved them all. But this one was the best ever!! Seeing Wes Hampton, Mark Lowry, Michael English, David Phelps and Bill Gaither together again was exciting and thrilling for the soul. The music was amazing testimony to God's love and joy for others. It showed the deication in their lives for the Gospel. So glad I went and took several friends with me!!

It hurts me to have to say this, but I was very disappointed with this concert. I love the original vocal band and was so looking forward to hearing David Phelps and Mark Lowrey sing. Mark sang well and his comedy was good. However, David did not sing the solos that I've heard him sing before so passionately. They were given to Wes Hampton and Michael English. Michael was very disappointing to me. The whole concert seemed as if they were not prepared well enough and Bill Gaither stumbled over his words when he tried to announce numbers and transition. The pianist was phenomenal and many times carried the show. I so wanted to hear David Phelps solo and shine and he was not allowed to do that.

The new configuration of the Gaither Vocal Band is by far the best yet! To bring Michael English back after the trials and tribulations he has endured and to show the grace and integrity that Bill Gaither has in bringing him back into the fold is beautiful. David Phelps is a show unto himself. The way it was presented, to showcase each singer, and expose each of their talents individually, was brilliant. There is no one better than David Phelps, and the fact that he chooses to use his angel voice to sing for the Lord, is a testament of his faith. Wes Hampton Is a valued addition as a tenor and brings a lot to the old and new material of the Gaither lineup of Gospel songs. The Gaither Vocal Band would not be the Gaither Vocal Band without Mark Lowry. The humor of Mark and Bill throughout the night is wonderful, as is the beautiful singing and songwrighting talent that Mark brings to the group. And last, but not least, Bill Gaither. God Bless this man who has shared his love for God and his talent for songwriting, and for putting people together and traveling across the country to bring people together to sing and worship and lift their spirits. Keep Going Bill!

We left the show enthused and inspired. The performance had good flow to it and the vocals were performed in a very professional manner that allowed individuals to showcase their talents. The only thing we were a little disappointed in was, we thought there would be a larger group taking part. It makes me want to go to a concert where there are more of the Gaither performers guaranteed to be there. Not dissing it, it was great and only makes you want to go again!

I enjoyed the concert very much. The music was wonderful and the Gaither group outdid themselves, as always. The Dr. Pepper arena, however, is not the best place for this type of concert. This venue is not good for Homecoming. Last year's Texas Homing was far superior. We could not understand the words the Issacs sang, and there were other groups that we had a hard time hearing. Parking was a mess, and we will not attend anything at this arena again. Words on the screen would help with new songs.

We drove almost 1,000 miles to see this Gaither Homecoming and we would do it again. At the performance, we sat near a teenage girl (a stranger to us) who was enthralled with everyone's performance, as we were. At the end of particularly moving songs, she would run up to the front of the stage and clap enthusiastically. At the end of the show, Linda Randle motioned to her to join the group on stage. Watching her display of passion for the music and then her reward of getting to hug many of the performers that she has probably admired for a long time was the "icing on the cake" for us - and I'm sure for many other fans who sat near her as well.

This concert was the worst one ever attended for several reasons. 1. Arena was a bad location.... no easy way to get off of main freeways (Sam Rayburn and North Dallas tollway). Too congested at the "only entrance" via car probably because another event at the Star complex 2. Parking was not easily obtained. Officers were not at their best. And then there was additional fee, on top of the seat price, plus arena price, plus entertainment price.. 3. Once at the Arena, only one entrance, one door into the event. Scanning of tickets by two people made the line really congested of "funneling" all the people in one area. 4. Once inside arena the "Event Staff" were not available to direct people to their seat, and when asked by one "Staffer" she had no clue where our seats were. 5. Although concert went on for 4 1/2 hours, at times it seemed like some performers were being hurried along. 6. Overall performance seemed like everyone was "trying out" their new songs, would have preferred a blend of old and new.... sound could have been toned down just a bit. 7. We were in a group of 6 people and the comments of our small group were generally the same. One couple who had never been to a "homecoming" were not impressed. 8. My suggestion to Mr. Gaither is to move back to Preston Wood or SW Seminary where he has been for years, and go back to the "Blend".

This was the first time I saw a live performance by The Gaither Vocal Band & Company and it was phenomenal and one of the best concerts I have attended. I can't say enough and highly recommend for all ages to experience this fantastic, loving and Christian family of singers at least once in their lifetime, but it won't be an only for me, can't wait to the next one in the Dallas-Ft. I can't begin to tell you what this concert meant to me. I'd been fighting depression as we have lost both of our children over the last 5 years and our daughters birthday was coming up. God, in His AMAZING GRACE, not only knew where I would be at this moment in my life and what I would need set the stage for me to receive a devotional on grief, a lesson at church on Thankfulness and topped it off with a concert that lifted my heavy heart!! This was my first Gaither concert and by far the best concert I've ever attended. I must say that I was a bit star struck. The show had so much variety. Mark Lowrey's antics caused my face to swell from the laughter. The young lady who was the daughter of the trio (I forgot the name of the group) was simply amazing. I can't wait to hear more from her. I love the Gaither Vocal band and have watched so many of the videos on youtube and on TV. When you guys stepped out on the stage, I had the urge to just jump up in my chair and root, cheer, scream etc. (similar to how I act when I am watching an intense ball game where my team has scored). I just couldn't believe they were standing right in front of me singing their hearts out. I try to decide who is my favorite then conclude they are all favorites. I can't pick a favorite. They are all incredibly gifted! Another thing that makes your group so wonderful is that your show was full of energy and it seemed like your hearts were in your song. I think it would be so difficult to show so much passion after doing the same thing every day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. That concert was the best and I look forward to scheduling my vacation time around your concert events.

At first I wasn't to excited to see this concert, was going mostly for my mom. Bill Gaither is certainly getting on in years and actually didn't sing much. His group seemed to cover for him very well when he would start to sing. Think maybe his hearing is bad or something as his pitch was a tad off at times. Overall though, the vocal band, the interaction of the group and the other artists on stage with him, were so incredible!! Bill Gaither is such a legend in this genre it was fine. My mom and I were moved to tears several times and even though the concert was 4 hours long, it flew by!! I would go again in a heartbeat.

Gaither Fest was an amazing worship experience!!!! There were incredible groups like The Gaither Vocal Band, The Martins, The Nelsons, The Isaac's , and of course the comedy of Mark Lowery! It applies to people of all faiths and demoninations. If you love Jesus you will praise His name at this concert! If you want to find out about Jesus and the amazing love God has for you...then this concert is for you! They all sing and play for a total of four hours!! I was completely hoarse afterwards from all the whooping and singing! Yes..you get to sing along with them! We had seats close to the front on the floor in the middle section and watching them sing and play was amazing! God truely speaks to you through all their music. Should you want to meet them, just go to their tables during intermission and they will all be happy to autograph an CD or picture you have of them. Truely a God-Inspiring Experience!

I drove to Dayton, Ohio from Knoxville, Tennessee for the November 6 concert and I must say that it was one of THE BEST concerts I have attended. I love Karen Peck and New River and of course Lynda Randle. Charlotte Richie has a voice of an Angel, and I love Buddy Greene's talent on the Harmonica. Gene McDonald is an amazing bass singer to add to the program. But when the Gaither Vocal Band came on stage, I can't tell you how exciting it was. ALL the songs were wonderful, but the topper was when David Phelps sang "He's Alive!". If there was a sinner sitting in the crowd when David hit the last note, I don't know how they were able to not hit their knees! The power of God was so strong! I lost my precious Daddy on September 21 and have really been struggling. I have been a Christian for 50 years, and have been holding onto God to comfort me through this horrible time in my life. After the concert, I felt encouraged and realized that I had felt the Spirit of the Lord for the first time in these grievous six weeks. I had to get to a place where my spirit was relaxed and free to get into a worshiping mood to be able to feel His presence. The GVB's singing enabled me to get me to that place to receive from God his everlasting comfort. THANK YOU Gaither Vocal Band and Bill Gaither for all you do for Jesus and the Gospel.

Attended with my daughter and we were absolutely amazed at the warm feeling that came from everyone on stage. We have most all of the homecoming videos and being there was like every one of them. We were disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm and appreciation by the audience for such a great group of singers and players. The sound was great and the acoustics could not have been better. Well worth the money spent and would do it again without a doubt. We were so impressed by the appearance and meeting of Mark Lowery, David Phelps and all the performers during the break. It made us feel and know that what they were doing was coming from the heart. Only missed seeing Gloria and meeting Bill. We would have loved to meet Bill also.

Gaitherfest 2010 at Myrtle Beach, SC was wonderful. I have had the chance of coming to about twenty of your gospel singings. I can't say that one was any better than the other. I tell people that it is like Heaven on Earth when you come to one of the concerts. I feel like that is what Heaven will be like when we all get there. Thank You Bill and Gloria Gaither for what you have done with all this talent. I know God will say well done faithful sevants!

Although I enjoyed this show as always, I was somewhat surprised by the limited number of artists. Gordon Mott, Charlotte Ritchie and The Vocal Band were outstanding! I made the roundtrip from Dallas that day and would do it again!

I have loved and appreciated Bill & Gloria Gaither since the Gaither Trio days. I watch the concerts on television and buy all the CD's. For some reason, this was the first live performance I have attended and I was deeply blessed and thrilled. What a wonderful show by so many talented artists and musicians - the arrangements, the humor, the diversity of the music, the harmony - wow, the harmony! It was all amazing and the icing on the cake is David Phelps (The Voice).

Every minute was filled with excitement and joy of a living Savior. What a wonderful opportunity to spend time with friends who share the love of the Lord. Bill Gaither is an incredible person and he always brings such an inspiring Spirit to the crowd. My very favorite is David Phelps and I appreciate how he gives his wonderful talents to the Lord.

This was the best concert I have ever attended. The music and voices just filled my heart with love and praises to our God, Jesus. I am sure you made God laugh with your humor because I felt it in my heart. God bless you all for using all your talents that God blessed you with. I want to attend all of your concerts when you come back to Fort Worth!

I attended the Gaither Homecoming concert in Toledo , OH on 20 March 2010 and it was incredible!!! The concert was even better than I expected it to be. It is refreshing to see artists who are more concerned with the Glory of God than with themselves. It is easy to see that these artists believe in what they are singing. The Gaither Vocal Band was awesome even without Michael English. Marsh Hall stepped in for him and he gave it his all. The Vocal Band nearly brought the house down. I also loved The Martins, Russ Taff, and Mark Lowry. And what can be said about David Phelps? He has what I consider to be the finest voice in music. The Isaacs also performed and were better than ever. They are incredible. Sonya Isaacs must be one of the best mandolin players ever. If a Gaither concert ever comes within 100 miles of you...GO!!! You will not be dissappointed.

A First time ever attending a Gaither Concert!!!! We own many videos and a few DVDs--and numerous CDs of Gaithers and their Homecoming Groups. This was a Christmas gift my husband and I gave to each other--Looked forward to this night since Christmas. The music was amazing--my favorite was Buddy Greene and his Harmonica and the Isaacs--(that is only my thought) My husband enjoyed it ALL. If we could afford to go, we would try to attend all the local concerts--Such as Portland, ME coming next month. Thanks, Bill, for keeping these groups together and singing--enjoyed seeing the 'older folk' that have gone on Glory--singing the hymns that the younger ones were singing. Thanks for keeping their memory alive--

This whole event was just to remarkable to try and put into words. Getting tickets online, to being delivered to my door, to a wonderful stay with family in Iowa, too priceless. The Vocal band was astonishing. The harmony was incredible. After watching them on TV all of these years to actually seeing them in person is just overwhelming. There was laughter, tears, praising, and talking. I would recommend seeing these gentleman and the band to each and every one. What an uplifting evening.

This is the first Gaither Vocal Band performance I have ever attended and it was so very inspiring in so many ways.....there are not enough words to explain the awesomeness of the performance of these Christian men....all of them. I was so moved by all of their songs and the pianist, guitar player and drummer made it even more special. It was hard not to tap your foot, clap your hands or move to the awesome sounds that were presented by the band. I will look forward to attending another performance in the future, for sure. God Bless them all!

It's been several years since I have seen the GVB in concert and I was thrilled with the talent of the group considering the changes that have occurred over the last couple of years. The group was full of energy and sang their hearts out. Kudos to Bill for consistently finding the right talent and mix to provide the quality product. These boys can SING. And of course one of my all time favorites, Kevin, provides great support through his musical talents and humor! Overall a great evening of gospel worship!

Gaither always puts on a great show. However.......the floor plan on Ticketmaster led me to expect that my seats were only 7 rows from the stage but the seats were actually 12 rows and an aisle away from the stage. And.......whoever set up the seats could have done a far better job if the seats had not been directly behind each other. Thank goodness they use the big screens so I could see the show.

The Concert was awesome. The majority of the crowd however was the disappointment. No one seemed to want to interact with the singers by clapping or standing. To have been a christian gathering I was disappointed in my fellow brothers and sisters in not taking this time to give praise and glory to our Lord. I would highly recommend next year there be two sections to choose from. One for those who want to participate in praise and worship and the other who just want to sit and listen to the music I'm sorry Mr. Gaither and the other singers who performed. You did an awesome job and deserved better appreciation for what you all do than what you got.

Had a great time at the Gaither Vocal Group and friends concert in Fort Myers 1-22-2015. The 5 man group sand smooth southern gospel and had some amazing voices. All of the several opening acts were very enjoyable. After the intermission all the +/- 14 singers came back and sand in various ensembles in more of an audience participation worship service/hymn sing. This second half was the more memorable of the two parts of the show. My group of 55-65 year olds were among the younger in the crowd but anyone who likes Christian music would find something to like in this clean, fun, family friendly show.

My friend and I were so moved by he music. Bill Gaither never ceases to amaze us with the talent his is able to assemble for his concerts. The variety and commitment of the artists to the Lord is so very evident. The power of the music is truly God- given. What this world needs now more than ever is to hear the music of the Gaither's. Love it!

Gaither is an amazingly blessed music man. The whole show was a wonderful blending of voices and harmonies, including a new crew. The result? As usual, God hits a home run through these blessed artists. Wonderful evening, wonderful show. May God continue to bless you all. I enjoyed the evening so much, I forgot to take pictures!

Unfortunately my expectations were formed by watching the Gaither Homecoming shows on TV. IF the advertising had said "we are bringing 5 acts and using loud canned music" then 1) it would have correctly characterized the show and 2) no one would have showed up. By mid show I was plugging my ears because the PA system was so loud and at intermission we walked out--totally disappointed.
