Dengue Fever
Los Angeles-based, Cambodian-influenced Dengue Fever stirs up a transcontinental cocktail that blends traditional rock instrumentation with the sounds of Southeast Asia. The band's focal point is Cambodian-born vocalist Chhom Nimol, who sings beautifully hypnotic melodies in her native Khmer language. The sparkling, echoing guitars of Zac Holtzman create a trance-inducing vibe, while his brother Ethan plays keys straight out of classic garage rock favorites like “Wolly Bully”. Whether fans are looking for a transcendent psychedelic experience or a head-banging romp, these eclectic rockers have them covered.

I have been a massive Dengue Fever fan for years both in the US and in Cambodia and I own all their albums even the terrific hard to find early ones that I had downloaded onto my I-Pod many years ago in Siem Reap. Seeing them perform up close in a small, uncrowded, and smoke-free environment was a real treat. My hats off to the guys and especially Chom Nimol who has a gorgeous voice.

A great band who should have played a bit longer! I was surprised how quickly the concert was over. I guess that is a good thing as you kinda wanna hear more...on your CD driving home. Nimol has an incredible voice and the back up band was pretty funny.

Fantastic blend of Khmer classic rock and American indie fun. The band was clearly having a lot of fun, and the audience fed off their enthusiasm. Skilled performers sounded great live.

I love the band's unique sound. The singer has a beautiful voice and a unique Cambodian sound I've never heard live anywhere else. The drummer is great, too, and the band as a whole is very talented.

What an amazing sound combining elements including surf, psych, and Vietnam era Khmer rock. It's very creative, innovative, and fresh. Packaged and polished for the ears, though not at all hard on the eyes, either.

The band sounded amazing. I loved that part...the movie, not so much... It was ok, but I wouldn't watch it again. However, i Would love to catch another dengue fever show and Royce hall is a nice venue. Nice vibe & sound quality.

The performance and film editing was amazing, I was enthralled. It was nice meeting the band--I thought there was going to be a dance party afterward for some reason but it was still very nice, lots of friendly vibes.
