Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood

Fantastic show! All four gentlemen sounded great all night long. Love the interplay between Scofield and Medeski! Would certainly recommend catching these guys to anyone who is on the fence about it. Scofield was more prominent than on the new album "Juice" as well, which I was very excited about. It was nice catching them on a Sunday at the HOB Boston too. The venue was not over sold and you had some space to move around without having to worry about getting trapped on the floor (since the venue is so long and skinny).

I've been to MMM at the outdoor venue, Jannus Landing, in St. Pete, FL about 8 years ago. Their creativity never stops and they get better all the time. The addition of John Scofield to the mix is quite a bonus. This was a five star performance interrupted by distortion coming through the speakers, particularly during forte solo passages. I've never heard this before at Massey Hall.Most noticeable the second half, I thought it was just the piano at first but turns out all were affected. Almost left early b/c the one thing I cannot take is the the sound of a blown speaker.

Fantastic, Medeski is my new musical hero, though every member of the quartet is a monster! "Outside" jazz at its finest.

Another top notch performance by Medeski Scofield Martin and Wood.

Have seen MMW play numerous times, they feel like family! This show was wonderful because Symphony Hall is an all-ages venue, so I could bring my teen son. He loved it.

I've seen MMW many times, and you never know hat you're going to get: fynky grooves, or avante garde, out jazz. But when they play with Scofield, you know you are getting fat grooves, and this is what they delivered on Sunday. Very enjoyable show.
