Pittsburgh Panthers Men's Basketball

While the game itself isn't the best since Duquesne isn't on the same level of Pitt basketball, but since it is an in-city rivalry it always makes for a fun game.

The game is great for two schools located so close to one another. It increases interest for college basketball. The venue at Consol is a beautiful building to hold the event. The building is new, easy to navigate, and the refreshment selection is very good.

game was entetaining,,venue superb... a good yearly site for Pitt/ Duq game

The atmosphere was great!! -- Both schools were well represented by the student population. Glad that Pitt won as I am a Pitt fan year round -- but Duquesne is my alma mater -- so I was torn there. Will definitely attend again next year -- it was great watching BB at the Consol!!

First the game itself was fine but I would not recommend any event in the Consol if you are in the upper level. It's so steep it's dangerous and no legroom. When seated, 7" between seat and back of chair in front so your legs must angle in under your seat. Very uncomfortable over 3 hours. Also RC Cola is served instead of Coke or Pepsi and that is a joke. Finally, eventhough I got my food 20 minutes before the game started, of the 8 Heinz ketchup dispensers, 6 were empty or near empty. The other 2 served watered down ketchup that was like soup. You were forced to use the near empty dispensers and had to be careful of getting splashed as you pushed down the top and some ketchup sputtered out, Also, none of the crowded concourse issues from the Arena were solved at the Consol as you fought your way around during intermissions and to exit.

The Consol was the perfect place for this game. I had great seats and no problems with seating, food, restrooms, except the outcome of the game!!!

It was awesome, I love Pitt. The mascots were very entertaining as well.

Great venue for sports or concert. There is not a bad seat in the building

Great atsmophere for college hoops. Late start was the only negative. Stopping the sale of beer at half time was not enjoyable.

Pitt dominated the Dukes throughout. The Panthers are a machine. Duquesne is just trying to hang on as a program. The first-game at Consol Energy Center was very good. The video screen is huge and impressive HD! Great experience. Will be heading back for SEC Big East Challenge in a week.

as an avid pitt fan, the city game is always something we look forward to. the consol energy center was a great venue for such a fun event. plus, we were able to get great tickets at an affordable price

Our seats were in the second deck and were virtually vertical, will never go to a game there if I have seats in the second deck. Very disappointed in the arena for a new facility

Second time in Consol........WAY to hot in this place!! Surprised the ice doesn't melt! Ridiculous start time....9:20 pm!! (Oh, the power of a tv buck!) An earlier start SURELY would have drawn a much larger crowd....and kept them there!

A PITT/Duquesne game is always fun to watch. However, I would rather the game be played on the campus of the two schools. The Consol center is very nice if you're in the first level. However, if you're upstairs, you should probably stay home and watch the game on TV. The big screen however was awesome. I was also disappointed at the size of the crowd. We would have had more at the Petersen.

We really enjoyed the game, being Pitt fans, it was even better. Great arena, very fan hospitable.

Enjoyed the game, venue, and atmosphere. Parked at Marriott - pricey at $20, but really convenient! Seats were great for a basketball game, but people walking up and down the aisle was slight disruptive. I would love to see a 7pm or 8pm tip off - 9:15 is a bit late for us who have to "suit it up" and sit on the parkway every morning.

Loved the Pitt vs Duquesne bb game. Consol Energy Center is nice. Wished we could have chosen to sit on Pitt side but that was not offered when tickets were bought online. Pitt rocked but had some questionable moments. Duquesne never had a chance

Beautiful venue....too warm...need more A/C.......very uncomfortable....

The center was great for Basketball and the place was a great venue for this game. May it be tyhere for 100 yrs.

The Consol Energy Center is a great location for a basketball game. We were in the upper deck but the view was fantastic.

The Niagra club was an excellent experience. The 100 level seats are so much more comfortable than the 200 seats we watch the Penguin games in. Why they could not have added a few more inches to the floor and cupholders is beyond me. I loved seeing a sea of red at one end zone and a sea of white on the other side!

Good game. Great arena. A really pleasurable evening.

This was first time I was in the consol center , and unless PITT refuses to play there anymore it would be my last . I was in 200 level and yes my nose was bleeding ... Why either school wants to move the game there is my guess . The Pete is superior to this place for basketball . Thats why the only time I will be going back to the consol is to see the Panthers beat up on Duquesne.

It was a great game, especially since Pitt won, however 9pm is a little late to start on a Wednesday night. A 7 or 7:30 start would have been better since my daughter who is in middle shcool attended and I worked the next day. Getting home at midnight makes for a long day on Thursday.

THE GAME WAS OK. WOULD HAVE LIKED TO SEE DUKES AT LEAST BE PRESENTABLE. I GUESS NOT YET. SINCE I AM ALSO A PITT FAN I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED

The atamosphere was very good. I think that is a bit too loud and the music could be set down a few notches without taking away any of the excitement or atmosphere.

The game and the facility were excellent, but the timing of the game needs to be made earlier to allow more fans including younger family members to attend in next year's event. Introduction should be done with bright spotlights not in the dark as done.

The new arena is awesome but the wrong team won. Better luck next time.

Great game, the consol is a great venue hope to attend many more City Games at Consol!!!!

Consol is a great venue. A few "tweeks".....the spotlight didn't work for player introductions and there was a cracking sound each time the PA announcer either turned on or off his microphone. The only other comment was the late start and weeknight game. If you have the City Game on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon the place will sell-out. There are too many alumni in the area that support both schools to have this game played on a weeknight with a start time of 9:20. Do it like Pitt/WVU football and have a set date (weekend after Thanksgiving?) and don't give in to the money for TV exposure. Pitt is at a point to where they should be calling the shots to the network.
