This show is awful. The characters are played by people wearing nasty run down costumes. My daughter was horrified. Boots costume was half on an u could see his face. Why wouldnt they have the costumes where the person was inside and your not able to see the face. I would like my money back if i could get it. Horribly disappointed in this and the portrail of thr show. I was under the impression that the characters would look like the show.

I took my 3/12 year old grand-daughter to The Fabulous Fox Theater to see the Dora the Explorer show. She was very excited and was anxious to see all of her favorite characters. After standing in line with anticipation we finally entered the theater. The organ was there on the left side, right in front of us and the organist was playing. We were right on the end in row J. Molllie thought the organ was really neat because her Nana (myself) teaches piano and organ. That organ was a lot bigger than mine! The organ player played several songs and sounded fantastic. He had a great personality and kept turning around smiling at us. Finally it was time for the show! Mollie never took her eyes off of the stage. She was so excited when it started. I don't know if I enjoyed watching the show more or watching her expressions. It touched my heart to see how happy she was, and then Dora came out. She kept saying, "I love this show!" over and over. It was precious! Throughout the performance we enjoyed the interactice, colorful and fun performance! The ending was especiallly fun with everyone standing and singing the closing song. It was worth every penny that we spent and I would go again in a heartbeat. Thanks for bringing this show to Atlanta!

Our daughter loves all the Dora characters. At 2 years old, she spoke about the different characters all night, this morning and at her preschool. The actors did a great job and the set was amazing! My wife and I even enjoyed the show - even more than the DVD's that we have just about worn out. Would encourage anyone with a child to see it. GREAT FAMILY EVENT!!!!

I took my three kids to see Dora the Explorer Live Search for the City of Lost Toys. It was a birthday present for my twin girls that turned 4. They had a ball and cheered through the whole show. They loved to see Dora and Boots fly through the air and all the tricks that Boots did. They loved seeing Swiper lurking around. The show really held their attention and was just the right length for them.

The music was good and The actors were good, but the people doing props were not very good at staying behind the scenes. There were huge gaps where you could see the people working back there. My daughter even noticed and asked me what those men were doing. I also didn't like the fact that they said we could not take pictures. This was my daughters birthday present and she wanted pictures of Dora.

We had a wonderful time. The venue left a little to be desired (seats were small and close together, no room for kids to dance or interact), but the show was fantastic. My 34 month old is still talking about it and acting out the story with her dolls. I even enjoyed the show. The performers did an amazing job. I recommend for any Dora/Diego fan.

We were so excited to take our 4 year old to see Dora Live! We had to drive 3 hours just to get to Birmingham, but in the end, it was all worth it! Cameran had a great time. She sung along with Dora, Boots, Swiper and the rest of the gang. She even made a friend with the girl who sat behind us. Before the show even started, she got her picture made in front of a picture of Dora! The only bad thing was you can not take pics while in the concert hall, which I thought was a little strict, but I am a camera hog! But she thanked us for taking her to see Dora, a little dissapointed she couldnt get on stage, but she had a wonderul time && hopefully we can go back next year.!

The scenery was amazing. The performances were outstanding. Sound quality was great. The show held the attention of my 2 yr old, the entire time. She cried during intermission for more Dora... The smile on her face when the show continued was heart warming. The characters were very energetic. My daughter was actually afraid to attend this event as she is afraid of the characters live. However, this was very kid friendly... We had great seats not too close but in the front row from the floor. This waas enough space to make her feel safe. She was totally excited and participated w/all of the interaction moments throughout the show. I am quite pleased witht he entire event!

I brought my 18 month old to Dora Live and she really liked it. The play is very interactive, the colors are amazing and the stunts are great. I do believe my daughter is a bit young to fully enjoy the experience but I loved doing something different with her and exposing her to something new. She could pick out the different animals and props (train, tree, flowers, etc), enjoyed all the bright lights, loved watching the other kids interact with the play and she danced up a storm. The "bad guy" in the play scared her a little at first because of the music and the reaction of the kids in the theater but by the middle of the play she was yelling "no, no" when the bad guy came out. This play is about an hour and half long which held her attention the entire time until about the last 15 minutes so I found an empty seat to change her view which helped. I recommend getting to the play about 20 minutes early because they take a picture for you with a Dora background you can purchase online, have a sovenier shop, food and other children waiting around for the play to start.

I took my 4 year old daughter and 5 year old nephew. They both loved it. The music, characters and even the stage were great. The bright colors of the stage were amazing. The only thing that I would have changed about the whole thing is that they turn the music down just a tad. Sometimes you couldn't hear Dora talking. Maybe it was just my ears or the place we were sitting. The character playing Dora was a little soft spoken. We did have amazing seats though. The kids could see everything going on. Just so much activity from the whole cast. Unfortunately, we could not take any pics during the show. We would have loved to have some for the photo album. Great, great, great!!

This show was of the quality of a junior high musical. Minimal, low-budget set... character barely resembled Dora... Lame pirate ship... I drove 2+ hours each way to take my daughter to this. To be fair, it was almost worth the low price of tickets. However, I would rather have paid 3x the amount to see an amazing show. I suppose if you lived down the street and had nothing else to do, then go ahead and swing in... but I would not get my kid excited and make a big production out of it.

This show was perfect for my 2 year old. It was about an hour long which was a good length of time. The costumes were good for the kind of production it was. Although I thought they would be more like full costumes (like a full character costume). All in all, we had a good time.

We tried to enjoy the show in all honestly because my 2 year old loves dora, but it was just a horrible place to have a kid show. We were sitting in the second level and could not hear a thing from the stage. The characters of the show should have worn the actual costumes instead of being real people so maybe the kids can be more into the show. Seemed like alot of kids were bored and couldnt sit still. Dont recommend place or show!

My 6 yr. old did not want the show to end, she enjoyed every single moment, especially when the characters were flying through the air. This show was very fun for my 4 year old and 6 year old daughters. There were ample opportunities for them to participate along with the characters on stage. There were many songs - some of which your children will recognize and some that are new. The scene changes are great. There is an intermission about 40 minutes in followed by the second act which is also about 40 minutes. This is great in case your little ones need to pee! The show is just long enough -- any longer and children might have trouble staying focused. I wouldn't recommend bringing children under 3 unless you have too or unless you think your child has a great attention span.

We really enjoyed our showing of Dora Live. The production was fun for the kids and adults alike. Giving the kids stars to "help" Dora was a great way to get the kids involved. Totally disappointed\u2026\u2026We attend a lot of shows, (Yo Gabba Gabba, fresh Beat, Sesame Street, Etc) never have I been so disappointed in a show, It started 20 min late, Dora didn t speak Spanish, the only character that looked similar to himself was Swiper , The actors seemed to be all teenagers, Diego s microphone was off the whole time, No one can hold a note on their own, The only paraphernalia sold in the theater was a flashlight that had a soccer ball on it, nothing with Dora on it, they guys outside of the theater were selling better stuff, The actors were moving the set themselves, ( in the open- not behind curtains, I could go on and on, But I m pretty sure I made my point,,,,,,PARENTS!! Stay away from this one.

The whole show lasted about 1/2 hour it took longer to get in & seated..... The costumes the characters wore looked so cheap the setup of the stage was not impressive at all I have seen a better set up at elementary plays. I would have had more fun at the park for sure. The tickets were $15 not much but def not worth it for this show at all.

Hey, We came all the way from manhattan for the show and it seemed to be too short it was about 40-45 min. Just felt it could be 25 min longer. The show it self was great and my daughter had good time.

They need something more animated to keep them engaged. It was ok, but I wouldn't go back and see it again.

After seeing this I never want to see Dora again!! Dora's character was ridiculos she had boobs and didn't speak spanish, the whole theater was falling apart, the 3 pigs were 3 little old ladies that couldn't move, everything was a mess they didn't even know how to play "pretend" my daughter immediatly knew that she wasn't Dora!!! I spent $130.00 dollars and it was a waste of money and time!! I will never see this show again

The ad was misleading. It made it look like a Nickelodeon production when, in fact, it was community theater with real actors. The performance was poor, the theater needs to be updated, and it was an overall disappointing experience. My 2 year old daughter was expecting to see Dora, Boots, and others (in costume), not real actors made up to look like them (and the dog being carried around like a puppet by a live person). I think the ad needs to be more specific. My family drove 1 hour to see this and it was not worth it. Do not recommend!

The Sherman theatre did a pretty shabby job of Dora Live! The cast missed multiple cues, often looking at each other like deer in headlights. I am not exaggerating...the map would miss two out of the three "destinations" and the pirate pigs (aka, elderly women!) entered only to realize they weren't supposed to be onstage. Certain characters--the backpack for instance--barely showed expression and Dora, who had a beautiful voice and wonderful expression, was often seen adjusting her wig. I felt like the cast needed another week or two of rehearsals. Even the conductor was caught mouthing the wrong words to the audience! The costumes ranged from fair to pathetic. Finally, the sound/microphones were a big disaster, cutting in and out on the actors at any given moment. On a positive note, the young men portraying Diego and Swiper the Fox were OUTSTANDING. They were in a league of their own...beyond talented. Their voices were powerful and amazing. Congrats to them, I would go back to see these two gentlemen perform any day! This is my review...as a parent and as a performer. To be fair, my 3 year old children LOVED this performance. We still talk about the day we saw the "real" Dora and Diego! And I understand, the show was for them and not me. But when you pay twenty-something dollars a ticket, one would expect a little more professionalism from a theatre company.

Dora the explorer live was not worth the price they charged for admission. Very amateur bad props and horrible costumes. We saw Sesame Street Live for the same price and it was awesome. Do not waste your money on this show.

Can I give it a ZERO star rating? From the show to the theater, the experience was disappointing. The costumes were dirty/didn't fit right and some didn't really look much like costumes. There were problems with the sound and characters were cutting out. The set was dirty and some of the scenery was broken and put back together. The choreography was not well done and characters were out of step. Overall it seemed like the show was thrown together overnight and it was a big disappointment. To top it off, the theater is run down and the bathrooms didn't even have soap to wash hands even after I complained to an employee. I will NEVER go back. Other friends who I spoke to after the show were equally disappointed.

I saw Dora Pirate Adventure a while back when Nick had a live show tour. I wasn't expecting this to be on the same level. So I had reasonable expectations. Well, the show did not even live up to them. The sound was terrible. The props were on the level of a high school play and the actors were average at best.

I was so disappointed in this show! The map forgot his lines quite a few times. Dora looked NOTHING like Dora. The microphones kept going on and off. Sad I paid money for this!

My daughter loved the show so that made it totally worth it. There was a long intermission that is probably not the best with a large group of toddlers. Props were a little cheesy...expected a little more from Nickelodeon. I thought that it was great to let the kids meet the cast....my daughter loved that! I'd take her again.

I drove over an hour and a half for a show that was the same calibur as a high school production. The costumes were horrible, the acting, audio and lighting were embarassing. Folks from the show, please do not quit your day jobs. Half the time, the audio was cutting in and out and the person handling the lighting missed the cues. This was upsetting to watch and to think I spent the money to purchase tickets for a show like this. I feel like I was taken for a ride. Ticketmaster, you should never have allowed such a bootleg type show to sell tickets on your website. This does nothing but give you a bad name. I will say that although I spent the money I spent, my daughter did enjoy herself. Thank goodness the primary audience for this theater were 2-6 years olds because they would have otherwise been gonged on the gong show at the opening act.

I took my 4 year old daughter and 3 year old niece. This show was horrible. We bought the tickets thinking it was for a Nickelodeon production and it was the complete opposite. The set design was horrible and the clothes on the characters was dirty and too small. The microphones kept cutting out and all the props were made out of cardboard and some were even duck taped together. The show was given at a little theater in stroudsburg Pa which I was not aware of. Ticket Master should not be allowed to sell for this events. I go to a lot of shows by Nickelodeon and always purchase through ticket master. I spent a $100.00 on these tickets and if I would have known it was not a true Dora Live show I would not have purchased these tickets. I traveled an 1 1/2 for this show and was very disappointing. I will be demanding a refund due to wrong advertising! I will be very surprised if there were not other people that are trying to do the same thing.

I'm not sure who wrote the 800+ excellent ratings on this show, but I really wish I would have looked at the 20 one-star ratings. This show was not worth the money I paid for it. The props and costumes were cheap. The performers were okay, but the Dora seemed as if she was a substitute because she had to look at the other performers for cues. The microphones skipped in and out and you couldn't hear the songs very well. I will say however, that my three year old loved the show which I guess is what counts... On another note, the Sherman theater did not even have soap in the bathrooms and the floor in the bathroom was soaking wet!
