As a singer and musician, actor Jeff Bridges does more than simply carry a tune. His voice keeps improving as does his guitar playing. He also plays the keyboards. He performed songs mostly written for him or from his two CDs and he's a good storyteller. I sat five seats from the stage and he's looking ruggedly handsome these days. His backup band was very good. Bridges is a Buddhist, and his peaceful and calm demeanor was evident. I would recommend his show to his fans. I bought his two autographed CDs - they are very good as well.

Jeff Bridges and the Abiders were fantastic. The story-telling that Jeff added between songs created a personal aura to the show. The Abiders provided a very strong foundation to the music.

Jeff Bridges is a virtuoso of talent. Brilliant actor, humanitarian, great artist and awesome musician. It was apparent that he was having a good time playing music and singing with his friends. They played a wide variety from country to the groovy sixties. The encore song was a favorite from the movie Crazy Heart. Jeff is unassuming and very laid back - made for a great evening.

Jeff Bridges and the Abiders: entertaining show at amazing Ryman Auditorium! Bridges' daughter, singer songwriter Jessie opened. She was quite good with a lot personality. Jeff is just OK as a singer, but his band is good. Ryman is awesome. The history! Small with good acoustics.

Very good. Enjoy the rhythm , voice and music. Ryman is an old auditorium but charming. The seat are awful, how can you sit more than two hours on a wooden seat. The sound system is poorly designed. I am lucky that I don't comprehend words of the songs in any language, but I love to hear them and pay good money for attendance. Ryman should be upgarded

The intimacy of the Ryman was the perfect setting to experience a Jeff Bridges concert. His level of talent was unexpected, as well as that of his daughter. He showed himself to be a kind person when a couple of idiots "acted up". It was a delight to listen to such a good music and to be around such positive energy!

I hadn't listened to Jeff Bridges and the Abiders before this concert. Didn't know what to expect. They were a surprise! So much talent in the entire band!! The songs were interesting and engaging. Enjoyed his discussions and introduction of his best friend from childhood. As a teacher in a largely populated poverty school I was unaware of his organization to feed children breakfast. Will look into this charity for my school.

At the Ryman a few days ago, Jeff and his daughter played to the cult followers in the audience -- to those who could care less about whatever the lyrics were about and just wanted their ear drums to throb while they eyeballed The Dude (who still looks like Rooster Cogburn). Were I *wanting* my audience to understand my lyrics I'd crank up the pot on my mic, sing clearly instead of mumblin', cage the drummer, pull the amp cord on the steel guitar, and just plain tone down the instrumentation and emphasize the lyricists' messages. PS to Jeff: Loved your Dad's "Sea Hunt," love the story of his love for his business, love how you and Beau have carried on from him, and will forever love The Fabulous Baker Boys.

Great evening. This concert had a smooth mellowness where I left feeling I had just downed a couple of Xanax-a happy calm. He has such a warm personality that his dialogue to audience was endearing and witty. Musically the band is fair, nothing that really stands out, but works for general enjoyment. His daughter Jessie was spunky and fun but her music was also more on the bland side. Overall you will go to see this if you like Jeff Bridges, not so much the music.

Bridges is a great actor and musician. He is comfortable in front of a live audience, laughing and talking with fans. His performance included blues, country, and hard-rocking rock and roll. Great setlist! The Abiders are a tremendous band, multi-talented musicians with a great range of instruments. I'll be downloading the "Live" album as soon as it is released next month! Of course, no venue can beat the Ryman.

Mr. Bridges is my wife's favorite actor and biggest celebrity crush/celebrity pass. I surprised my wife with a Jeff Bridges themed day. First his new movie (The Giver), then his concert. We both greatly enjoyed the movie (it was a feel good Sci-Fi) and he gave a hell of an acting performance. My wife didn't know about the concert till just before we arrived at the Patages and boy did she light up when I told her who we were going to see. We arrived to what appeared to be a sold out show. I didn't have my hopes set too high as I knew nothing about the Abider's ahead of time and I hadn't seen Mr. Bridges's country movie. When the band started playing I knew I was witnessing some very talented musicians including Mr. Bridges himself. He has a very good singing voice. I think I would describe his voice as a gritty Whiskey Tenor and he is also talented on the guitar and piano. I would call the Abiders music a blues/country mix (but am admittedly no music genre expert). Jeff Bridges and the Abiders apparently had a few die hard fans judging by the many "I love you's" eminating loudly from different members of the audience in between songs. I felt like the Abiders had an almost Jimmy Buffet like fan base. My only knock was that I was expecting a 2-3 hour show and I believe it ended up being around an hour and a half. As far as the Pantages: Gorgeous Theatre and very friendly staff, but as for the upper or lower level bars, we would have had to wait for an hour to get a $7 eight once (yes 8 ounce mini dixie cup) domestic draft.

I've seen my share of movie stars trying to pass as musicians over the years. More often than not, it tends to be a train wreck. Thankfully, Jeff Bridges more than made up for my having to suffer through the likes of Kevin Bacon or Billy Bob Thornton; unlike those guys, Jeff was clearly having a good time, was very personable, and actually played some good music. Jeff has family around the Minneapolis, MN--Fargo, ND area, and they were scattered in the audience at this show, which no doubt had a lot to do with why he was so happy onstage, cracking jokes and telling stories from his acting career. But even if they hadn't been there, it was quite clear to me and others that he, like the audience, was having a LOT of fun. It would've been sad if Jeff wasn't a decent musician, but thankfully he is, moving from a variety of guitars to a keyboard and back during the 95-minute performance. The setlist was a hodgepodge of songs from his two albums, the "Crazy Heart" soundtrack and a few choice covers, including "The Man In Me" by Minnesota native Bob Dylan, which is on the soundtrack of "The Big Lebowski", perhaps Bridges' most popular film (and he's had quite a few). It was a great concert and a real surprise, and the night was made even better by meeting him afterwards. Just as gracious offstage as he was on (wish I could say that about Jeff Daniels following his concert). I'd go see Mr. Bridges again, easily.

Jeff Bridges puts on a great show. I really like the Crazy Heart soundtrack but was unsure of what to expect from a live show and I was not disappointed. He & his band are great performers and Jeff was very charming. My husband is a HUGE Lebowski fan. I am so glad Jeff seems to not only put up with those fans, but he really embraces the love he gets from that movie/role.

The music was good but we didn't walk out of there jazzed about what we had just experienced . The sound setup was not great but did improve over the course of the show.. Too much bass in the drums. The show was 90 minutes. The lead guitarist is quite good as can be expected in a band assembled by someone of Mr Bridges caliber. The other musician were not really showcased with any solo's, etc. Bridges is a good keyboard player and decent singer. This is not a 75 dollar ticket. 50 bucks maybe -75 left me feeling a little under nourished in terms of length of show and sound quality. Bridges is a great actor whom we like very much -no doubt. I chalk this up to a unique experience which we won't forget but musically it was just average.

Jeff Bridges & The Abiders played a 2 hour set filled with awesome covers and some of Jeff's music from various movies he has been in. He is an incredibly funny guy with an enormous presence on stage. He had the theater laughing and singing along all night! So glad I was able to see the dude in person. Would definitely go again and recommend it to anybody that likes old school country music! (even as a non country music fan)

Saw Jeff Bridgs & The Abiders at "The Venue" at the Horseshoe Casino and was thrilled by the dynamics of the music. Continuous playing, entertaining for about a 1 1/2 hours. Played their whole new album of music, which should be released very shortly according to Bridges. After you get past the crowd continuosly yelling out "DUDE", Jeff Bridges proves he belongs on the musical stage.

I did not know what to expect but Jeff proved to be quite a good musician and his band was top notch. He plays both rhythm and lead guitar, as well as keyboards. He performed some outstanding songs, written by a childhood friend and one or two he co-wrote. His voice was kind of like he looks, a bit rough and gravelly but it was strong and on key. He had amusing banter between songs. He seemed a bit apprehensive, at first, but turned out to be quite the showman. It was a very good show that got better as it progressed. As the audience began to warm up and show appreciation, he responded with more confidence. In the end, he got a rousing standing ovation. I would, absolutely, see the show again. I bought the meet and greet. It was rushed, as all such things are, but he was gracious and I am very glad I did it.

"NO! BUT I WILL" !! Been a BIG fan of Jeff Bridge's acting career...He brings a RAW UNTAMED presence to his films...and his original music is NO DIFFERENT! I might even be inclined to include Mr. Bridges with such greats as Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Tennessee Williams. I saw his film Crazy Heart and I was THRILLED by his soundtrack of TERRIFIC works. I like that he likes to include his music in many of his films. VERY RESPECTABLE! If you get an opportunity, PLEASE give Mr. Bridges & The Abiders a CHANCE! You'll be GLAD you did!

This was fantastic from beginning to end. Two hours of music from the "Dude" to "Crazy Heart." The Abiders is a talented band able to play anything. Jeff Bridges said his dad told him he should be an actor when he wanted to be a musician, that maybe he could use music on a role some day. Thanks to "Crazy Heart" we all get to enjoy the music. He said he's living his teenage dream at 65.

Entered to be guided by Alexandria City Law Enforcement in the parking lot. Next, went to a big crowd of people who were waiting to see the concert. Went in and out of the merch room before finally breaking down and buying a vinyl, without regret. Then waited for the show to start while people around the place had beer and food. His daughter opened and was amazing, except for the fact that my view had a pole blocking sight of her. A heckler made the show more fun and also distracting. Eventually Jeff Bridges played and started slow before breaking into a good flow that I left abruptly, to get a good night sleep.

Jeff Bridges has a voice that carries well in a live show. He was warm and personal and respected his band for all their talent. He seemed to be having so much fun just playing with them. Thinking the evening would be entertaining enough to enjoy dinner and a show I was amazed at the diversity, musical expertise, and excellence of Jessie Bridges as well as Jeff and the Abiders. By the middle of their first tune I was tapping my toes and turning my chair to watch. All the musicians were not only accomplished but entertaining. Jeff's comments between songs made the whole performance that much more fascinating as he told his short stories and background of each piece. Very surprised. Very enjoyable evening. The encore set was several songs - putting a very satisfactory cap on the evening's musical performance. And - Jessie very much follows in her father's musical footsteps.

Mr. Bridges is a personality. He is a great front man, dedicating show to Robin, who was looking down on all of us. After an enthusiastic, if slightly inept, opening performance by his daughter, Jeff's band opened with a doozey -- Blue Car by Greg Brown. Highlight of the evening, later, a nice twangy version of So You Want to Be a Rock and Roll Star from the Summer of Love and the Byrds. Not bad. Fun show with competent playing, good singing, nice relaxed sound and like sitting in your living room with friends. Got more than I expected; but then, lowered expectations ARE the key to a contented life.....

Some famous people, including actors, get the "rock star" bug and go on tour for the experience because they can. But Jeff Bridges was a musician first, and has genuine talent. If you saw the movie that earned him an Oscar, "Crazy Heart", that is close to what you get seeing him live. He is as natural and unpretentious as they come. He's just a good guy. He plays a lot of covers of favorite musicians and songwriters, from his friend since fourth grade John Goodwin to Tom Waits, Bob Dylan and Greg Brown. The music ranges from flat out rockers to introspective folk, with a lot of country in between. He tells a lot of great stories and even made an appeal on behalf of Share Our Strengths about school free meal programs for the poor. The Abiders are a talented and tight band, and there is a lot of obvious camaraderie. You will come away moved by Jeff's humanity. You will also likely have had a really good time.

I bought tickets for my husband and 2 grown sons - they are HUGE Big Lebowski fans and one son has a life-size poster of "The Dude" in his bedroom. I, of course, also wanted to see him because I have always loved his movies and thought he was really attractive and he is all that at even at 64!! We were very lucky to have a front row table and all of us enjoyed the concert immensely - had no idea Jeff Bridges was such a versatile musician. His band, The Abiders were also talented musicians and no one wanted them to stop playing! Probably the sweetest moment was when Jeff Bridges hopped on stage to introduce his daughter, Jessie Bridges, who opened the concert - such a proud father. Then at the encore Jessie came back onstage and did a few songs with her father and his band. Would highly recommend seeing this show any time they play!
