The Time Jumpers

This was the first time I have seen The Time Jumpers. They put on the best show ever. The talent all the members have is hard to imagine. It is obvious how much they enjoy playing music together, They truly entertained the audience!

These guys just leave you speechless they are SO GOOD. Singers, players, they do it all. And with so much Harmony, and precision. AWESOME!!

I've seen Vince Gill in many venues all over the country, but he was meant to sing with this band on the Ryman stage. Great guests were a bonus, and Connie Smith was genius. The Ryman is a national treasure. So are these musicians.

No words can describe how awesome this show was. Everyone should see this amazing group of artists. There was sooo much talent on the stage, the best of the best of Nashville. Of course Vince Gill is the best of the best, but the big name musicians in Nashville are part of this group as well. Last, but not least, the amazing "Dawn Sears". What a voice of an Angel. I've been a fan of Dawn's for many years. This is one entertainer that the country music industry over looked many years ago. But Vince didn't, that's why she's been singing in his band for 20 years, he knew what a gift she has. All I can say is WOW, what a show. If you are a fan of good Texas Swing and good hard core country music, you have to see this show. Trust me, you will love it!

OUTSTANDING musical talent! Spectacular! Dawn Sears voice is unbelievably GREAT!

A most enjoyable evening. I am new to western swing and what a band to hear! Show wasn't too long or to short. Lexington Opera House sounds great.

The whole show was upbeat, uplifting, and pretty flawless! Plenty of spotlight devoted to the individual musicians comprising this all-star band.

If you are a fan of 'true' country music or swing music from the 50's - 60's this was the show for you. I have been a fan of the group for several years, this is the style of music my parents used to listen too and give that 'special' smile to each other when it came on the radio. And after seeing the Jumpers live I know why. It is infectious! Toe tapping, finger snapping, good music. And the band themselves are some of Nashvilles hottest session players. Vince Gill was in good form as was Dawn Sears so the vocals were top notch. An all around great show. Even my 14 year old (Beiberite) daughter loved it!!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this concert, but OH MY GOODNESS!! There is so much "music" out there that is just noise. These musicians are truly that - musicians. They made everything seem effortless and they were playing some amazing music. Vince Gill was so gracious, not drawing attention to himself, just playing along with a great group of musicians who were having a whole lot of fun playing together. They played for two hours and never took a break. I would definitely go back and see them again!

I have long been a Time Jumpers fan since first seeing them on a recorded show broadcast as part of a public television fundraising drive. For starters, I am big fan of authentic country music and there's not much of it left in our world. If you can imagine 11 of Nashville's finest studio/side musicians assembled on one stage playing honest-to-goodness country music, you can envision the Time Jumpers. As a musician, I admire not only the complexity of their 'simple' arrangements, but the seeminly effortless way they play. Geez. Twin guitar leads, triple fiddles, piercing pedal steel. Whoa. Vince Gill has proven to be a nice addition (2010) to the group and Dawn Sears is, in my mind, the most amazing "girl singer" in Nashville. Though a bit under-the-weather for this show, she still managed to raise the roof. Wow. Having only dreamed of traveling to Nashville for one of their Monday night shows, I jumped on the opportunity to catch their Lexington Opera House performance. A dream concert for sure.

This is by far the best concert I have ever attended. These people are true musicians and you can tell by watching them, they enjoy every minute on stage. If you have not seen them YOU ARE MISSING OUT!

This was my first trip to the Opera House and my first opportunity to see The Time Jumpers live. It was an awesome experience! Every single one of the band members were multi-talented. My husband and I are true classic country fans and they filled us up to the brim with everything we like and more. We only wish we lived closer to Nashville so we could enjoy them more! Looking forward to more from them in the Kentucky area and more from The Opera House!!

We went into the evening not knowing what to expect from the group but we left extremely happy that we went. The group just showed amazing skill in their playing throughout the evening. Each of them could sing well and the music selection certainly highlighted all their talents. The performances by Dawn Sears -- undergoing treatment for lung cancer -- were out of this world. She has an incredible voice and it was on full display. The Lexington Opera House was a perfect venue for this group.

The Time Jumpers were absolute perfection. You will never hear 3 fiddle players in the same room this good! Vince Gill is ...... well Vince Gill and plays and sings in a class his own. The steel guitarist is amazing. But be aware, this is old school Bob Wills style music with a (very) few of Vince Gills hits. I could take or leave Ranger Doug.. as he is average but the drummer and fiddle players sing better than 90% of the country artists out there. They harmonize with Vince so well, it makes you want to close your eyes and feel the music with them.

Great evening's entertainment. Such talented musicians!

This is my 2nd time seeing the Time Jumpers this year and they keep getting better and better. The Time Jumpers let each member shine on their own and as a group. Some of the best musicians you will ever see. It was a good flowing concert with no slow moments. The Time Jumpers perform for over 2 hours. Paul Franklin was awesome on the steel guitar. Enjoyed Larry Franklin, Joe Spivey, and Kenny Sears fiddle playing. Ranger Doug, Billy Thomas, Brad Albin, and Jeff Taylor were solid on their performance tonight. Vince Gill's singing and guitar playing is always a highlight of a Time Jumpers Concert! If you haven't seen the Time Jumpers live in concert, please go see them when they are in your city. Well worth your time and money! Please support good music.

Very good show especially if you like Western Swing

The best ever for the country "music" fan. Three fiddles and a steel guitar added so much and of course Vince is a great guitar player as well. You could feel his enjoyment of just playing music. The accordian/keyboard player was fantastic as well.

Fantastic show! The band started on time and played until 10:30 PM with a brief intermission. Great acoustics at the Florida Theater . We had seats very close to the stage and enjoyed being up close and personal.

Great concert and great venue. The Time Jumpers put on a fantastic show. They are very talented musicians.

Don't get me wrong, all of these guys are good and are great musicians, but Vince Gill was the star of the show. He's the reason I wanted to see them. These guys play in Nashville every Monday night. I would go see them if I were up there, but not sure if I would spend the money to see them if Vince were not with them. Ranger Doug was funny and a classy old seasoned performer. Overall it was a good show.

This group has some fantastic musicians; the fiddlers, the accordion/piano and the guitarist. Very good vocalists but I can not say much for Vince Gill; other than he plays a good guitar. A pleasant evening of country swing.

What a performance. We saw Time Jumpers at the Carolina Theater in Durham. I had visited the website, checked them out on youtube and knew some of what to expect and was looking forward to the show. This far exceeded our expectations. What great musicians! Each and every one of them. As fans of a wide variety of music, we heartily recommend this to all fans of country swing and those who want to experience the best in guitar, fiddle, bass and drums. We can't wait for them to be in our area again.

This was a 5 star show---amazing. All are excellent musicians and entertainers.

I was thoroughly pleased and totally enjoyed watching and listening to the Time Jumpers Saturday night in Wilkes Barre. Their western swing music was most enjoyable to listen to. I thought the instruments that made up the band was a little odd......3 guitars, 3 fiddles, keyboard/accordian, pedal steel, stand up bass, and drums........but the combinations were very well orchestrated and very nice to listen to. It helps when every single one of those instruments is played so well. The theme for the show seemed to be an old western song or ballad that started out with the original tune but about half way through an individual would take off and play his version of the next verse........and then he would hand it off to another , and another and so on. So each song was "jammed up" by at least 4 members of the incredibly talented group.........and then they'd all bring it all around at the end and wrap it up beautifully......awesome job on every song. Really really good show. Enjoyed it immensely!!

Even though the Time Jumpers were minus one superlative female vocalist (Dawn Sears) , who could not perform due to health issues, once again, they were flat out amazing. I am hesitant to write this glowing review because it may mean I can never see them perform in a small venue again. They are all incredibly skilled musicians. They love performing together. The music is engaging. In short, it was the best musical performance I have ever been privileged to witness and absorb. It's moments like this that make life worth living. I love all these people (I'm sure they're glad it's from afar) and I hope to see them perform again soon. God bless Dawn and Kenny Sears.

Paul Franklin is a maestro of the steel pedal. He along with the other musicians are all world class. I was blessed to witness the magic of Vince Gill. Fiddle players were world class.

Excellent group of talented and skilled musicians. Very well prepared with seamless transitions from one soloist to the next. Overall beautiful sound.

Fantastic Entertainment. We went because we wanted to see Vince Gill. Didn't know who the Time Jumpers were. But the Birchmere was sold out. A Great Texas Swing band with every member a spectacular hall of famer. A big band with 3 guitars, 3 fiddles, keyboard/accordian, steel guitar and drums. Great Music, Played 2 hours Non-Stop and we didn't want it to end.

Stupendous! Great show and unbelievably good music.

This is one of the top 5 concerts in 40 years of going to shows .Crowd was attentive and respectful. Entertainers looked like they were genuinely happy to be on stage. Venue clean and well managed. Food and drink above average but somewhat overpriced. Staff competent and friendly. The star of the show was the band. Vocalists traded off on songs. Ten piece band was tight and seamlessly traded solos on every song. They played most songs on latest album except , inexplicably, they didn't play "New Star in Texas" or Outskirts of Town." However, they played a ton of old Bob Wills tunes that made up for it.

Third time I've seen the band. Great as ever. Catch this act. There's a purity and clarity to this performance that you just don't see today. We missed you Dawn. Our very best wishes to you.

The Time Jumpers were amazing! Great musicianship and candor. Vince is truly an icon of our time!! Looking forward to seeing them again. It was a great date night for my wife and I.

To witness so much talent simultaneously on one stage is phenomenal. Each musician brings a wealth of talent ,at ease I might add,to the stage. Not to mention that our Country Hall of Fame performer , Vince Gill was center stage. I paid my way thru professional school with a band. In the 60's. At that time one of my best friends and frequent member of the group was none other than "Bernie" Tom Collin now retired music mogul in Nashville. My appreciation for the talent displayed on the Birchmere Stage that evening was -well the best of the best in every respect. As was said-"just a bunch of old farts being allowed to do what they enjoy most"!! And do it they did-never pass up an opportunity to see them-they play every Monday evening in Nashville at 3rd and Lindsley.

The Time Jumpers with Vince Gill was one of the best shows of that type that my husband and I have ever seen at the Kirby Center. Everyone in the show seemed to be having a great time sharing their talent with each other, and with the audience. They all are exceptional musicians who obviously enjoy what they do. Hope they come back soon!

A really incredible group of musicians that play and sing from the heart. Their instrumental arrangements were fabulous. All the vocals were top notch and Vince Gill is still at the top of his game. Nice to hear real country and western swing done impeccably. You can tell from their performance that they really love the music that they were making. It showed on their faces and in the end result which was the music. Great job by their sound techs also as everything was clean and clear.

The Time Jumpers are the most amazing group of musicians that I have ever seen. They were truly a joy to watch and listen to. They looked like they really enjoyed playing together too. It really was a great show.

Wasn't sure what to expect at this concert, but it was GREAT! Outstanding musicians, especially the fiddlers and keyboard. Vince Gill, just a part of the group, still has an amazing voice and mad guitar skills.

This event should have been titled The Time Jumpers with Vince Gill. Time Jumpers were good but we expected to see much more of Vince Gill and his hit songs.

This group of musicians is amazing ! The highest caliber all thru the band. Each musician is at the top of their field. The songs they played were tight and precise, and the sound guys had them sounding great. Vince Gill was flawless in his playing and singing. Paul Franklin had me mesmorized thruout the evening. If you want absolute entertainment, these guys are a must see !!

My main reason originally was to see Vince Gill, not having seen the Time Jumpers before. But I was blown away by how incredibly talented they all were, as musicians and singers. I will definitely want to see them again if they come back to the Birchmere.

We discovered The Time Jumpers on a recent trip to Nashville. They are by far the most talented group of musicians to come together that I have ever experienced! Not to be missed!!

The entire show was full of energy and displayed such talented performers.

The Time Jumpers play country music real country music at a time when few do, revitalizing classics and adding new songs to the swing and honky-tonk repertoire. They are a sophisticated Nashville ensemble with strong Texas influences and overtones, able to enthrall audiences with their masterful improvisation and rich soulful lead and harmony vocals. Just add fiddles, great pedal steel, and standout instrumentals to make irresistible and timeless music.

The Time Jumpers were fantastic and very talented. The variety of music was also good! Loved hearing the different styles and as always Vince Gill was great! Love his music. It was worth the money to see them and would love to see them again.

It was easy to be blown away by the highest quality musicianship as exhibited by the Time Jumpers. The icing on the cake, for me, was the joy they had in playing the music, being with each other, and entertaining the fans. That was an excellent concert by a terrific band.

Husband has always wanted to see Vince Gill, so I bought tickets for his birthday. We really had no idea what to expect-never heard of them. It was a great show! Such a talented group of musicians! Three fiddle players and a standing bass and an accordion-doesn"t get any better than that. I don't think I have ever seen a band have so much fun performing together. You can totally tell that they all love what they are doing and really enjoy playing together. Love when you have no clue what kind of show you are going to see and it turns out to be great!

Last time Vince Gill was playing at The Birchmere, the concert sold out before I could buy the tickets. This time, I was sitting at my laptop the moment tickets went on sale and was successful in securing 2 for his appearance with The Time Jumpers in March. The Birchmere is such a great venue because there is not a bad seat in the house and you can have dinner and be right next to the stage. Vince Gill and the Time Jumpers are amazingly gifted musicians and all shared the spotlight equally. What a treat to be right by the stage watching some living legends perform! They shared stories about the songs and never seemed to be anything other than great guys who just happen to be wonderful musicians and like connecting with their audience. If you ever get the chance to see them, don't miss it!

Catching the Time Jumpers at 3rd and Lynsley recently was the best part of a trip to Nashville. Since then I enjoyed them at the Ram's Head in Annapolis and look forward to the upcoming show at the Birchmere. These musicians are so accomplished and talented, they could play any type of music and it would be enjoyable and memorable. If you enjoy good music performed by true professionals, you can't pass it up when they are near your town.

Best group of musicians I have seen in one group playing the best music I have ever seen live. If you like music and like it played by the best then this is A SHOW YOU MUST SEE! Their CD's are a must buy also.

The show was amazing. The musicians are talented and funny. Their guests added an extra special dimension to the show. It was the most enjoyable evening of our trip to Nashville.

The best musicians !!! I loved all the fiddles ( including base fiddle ), pedal steel, lead and base guitar and certainly the keyboard / accordion player. They were all GREAT !!! Loved their original music .

I'll be honest, we went to this concert in order to hear Vince Gill. He is one of our favorite singers and musicians and when we saw that he was part of the group, we made plans to go. If you are going to hear only Vince Gill then this may not be the concert for you but if you want to hear him play and sing with other remarkably talented musicians then this is definitely a concert to see. Unbelievably talented group with fiddles, guitars, bass, steel guitar, accordion, piano, drums, etc. It was a blend of different types of music (not just hard core country) and wonderfully talented musicians and singers. Definitely worth the 2 and a half hour drive, and a stay at the Turning Stone Resort where they were playing!

If you are a person who appreciates good music both instrumental and vocally,this is the greatest. It was an evening filled with a little bit of everything from Western Swing, blues, traditional country and even some yodeling .They put each member in the spotlight and they did their thing, I have not seen in quite awhile the great fiddling I saw and heard that night. The best thing was that even as great as just seeing Vince Gill in all his greatness, he did not over shadow the others,he was just another member of the band.

Being at the Ryman itself is such an awesome experience. Great acoustics, not a bad seat in the house and it's really beautiful. Jammin" the Blues was a wonderful concert. I love that Vince Gill and the rest of the Time Jumpers and their musical guests talked to the audience. Gave insight on the music and experiences in their lives that brought them to the stage. Great performances. Being new to the country scene, I was impressed by their good heart to donate their proceeds to Mental Health in Nashville. Who doesn't want to be a part of that.

What an wonderful collection of entertainers. True professionals and still having fun.

Seasoned musicians at the peak of their skills, loving what they do doesn't get any better. It's about time they played at the Ryman and they should come back . That building was made for their sound

What a great show, amazing talent. A must see for lovers of western swing..

Great music! Fine talent! Wonderful evening! The only problem I had was I couldn't get up and dance! We drove 5 hours from Colorado to see the Time Jumpers and I'd do it again tomorrow if they were there. We knew they were good; we had seen them on RFD-TV but that didn't do them justice! Amazing bunch of men that seemed to have as good of a time playing as we did listening. I hope I have the opportunity to see them again.

It is difficult to review the Time Jumpers without gushing.!!!!!!!!! This is the best western swing band since Bob Wills and Asleep at the Wheel. If you want to hear great western swing music then attending a Time Jumpers concert is a must. I would go again and will look for another date and location.

First time seeing both the theater and the Time Jumpers and couldn't of had a better time. More than likely my wife and I will go back for another show, something of which we don't like to do very often.

The Time Jumpers were a real treat! Listening to such an amazing group of master musicians never gets old!!
