Warpaint

WARPAINT IN CONCERT:All-girl psych-rockers Warpaint first entranced fans with their arty, eclectic brand of indie in 2004, and they've kept things fresh by adding new flourishes to their sound each step of the way. The group takes listeners on a journey in concert with their broad sonic palette, mixing it up with the searing dance floor groove of "Disco//Very," the hypnotic guitar arpeggios of "Keep It Healthy," and the psychedelic pop of "New Song." Their beautifully layered sound is thick with spacey echoes and swirling textures, and they cut through the mix with gang-sung melodies and irresistible rallying cries that match the propulsive beats. Warpaint deliver the perfect blend of genre-straddling experimentation and endearing stage presence, and ticket buyers can't help but get swept up in the group's immersive sets.

First off it wasn't a show, it was a concert. Warpaint is always amazing!

Super show! Showed up about 2 hours early and was able to get front row. The opening act, Liam Finn was super cool. Very high energy and really rocked. Warpaint needless to say, totally rocked the house. The Crowd was into the show, and you could tell the band sensed the energy.

After waiting nearly three years for Warpaint to return to NYC I finally got to see them for the first time. The entire night was magical. The band and the set was impeccable. The whole band was a dream. They are incredible live, a must see!

It was amazing. They really are talented musicians. Just wish they had played Billie Holiday too.

This band reminds me of no other band. Their constant tempo changes, haunting vocals, dreamy riffs, and unique but catchy drum beats make this band a must see for all. Before the show started, I asked around the lounge area who was here to see Warpaint, none replied yes. It seemed that everybody was there to see The Arkon Family (the headliner that night). However, when Warpaint came on. EVERYBODY was swaying back and forth, dancing, and clapping excessively at the end of each song. They earned the audiences trust with just one song. I have never seen so many people fall in love with a band they didn't know so quickly in my life. Warpaint skipped the awkward phase with the audience and went straight to the comfort level. In my opinion they out performed the headliner of the show. So in short, if your thinking about seeing them, you should. I guarantee you will be more than pleased with their performance.
