I attended with my partner and we both enjoyed very much. One thing that would have made it better was if the usher had dealt with the very annoying heckler. But, we laughed and had fun.

Hilarious, would recommend it to everyone, so relatable, eye opening on communication, and knowing the difference of how men and women actually think and function so differently. The guy that performed it all by himself was extremely full of energy the whole time which made it very enjoyable to watch.

The venue was excellent, nice smaller theater that provided a voucher to go towards Water Tower Place parking. This one man show was entertaining but unfortunately we had a row of women who had too many afternoon cocktails and kept shouting out comments to the actor. Midway through the show they pull out a bag of popcorn and start passing it around...crunching the bag each time. Finally the usher came over for this. This continued for the entire two hours. As we were walking out everyone around us were annoyed with how rude these women were.

This is a 1 man show. I didn't realize this when I booked the tickets. Even though it was a pretty good show, I know I would have enjoyed it more if it had been a full cast/crew. I had read the book many years ago so I was familiar with the content.

I was disappointed in the content of the show. I thought it would be based more on material from Dr. Gray's book. Instead it was a comedy act that included a lot of personal material from the comedian's marriage. Josh had a lot of energy and was entertaining but could have done a better job including more info from the book. Some of his 'skits' were very long and I just wanted him to get to the point. I agree with other reviews that having a female co star would add another perspective to the show.

I decided to surprise my wife with MMWV tickets for Valentine's Day, and we loved it! Entertaining from start to finish. My review title says it all-we highly recommend this show!

While I've been to many a self help seminar, this was an interesting twist. The one man show was very funny and honest. The accompanying videos were amusing and spot on to the point being made. To call it a play is a stretch though as this was a comedic presentation of the books main themes. I think a female co star would be even better as it is a male-centric show. All in all, I laughed and enjoyed my evening. We talked a lot after .

I will say, I thought he was very entertaining and that this was funny, but I was expecting a bit more of a theatrical show and it felt more like stand up comedy based on the book and his experiences.

I didn't realize it was a one-man show until it started. It turned out to be a very tightly written comedy routine with plenty of audience interaction. It followed along the basic premise of the book and tried to teach you a little bit about the sexes... in a very funny fashion. Worth checking out.

Not sure how this was part of the Broadway in Chicago series . . . expected it to be a comedy performance, but it was more a "lecture" series based on the book with some very stereo-typed humor interjected! Very disappointed!!

I can't remember the last time that someone try to teach me something using comedy but this time was definitely an eye opener. Love it

For a 1 man show it was good. Many truths were told in the understanding of women and I'm sure also men. The videos that accompanied the show were funny.

I read the book years ago and really enjoyed it. But the play....awful. It was not entertaining at all. I left at intermission along with several other people. Please don't waste your money to see this....read the book instead.

It was good! Funny. Entertained the whole time! Worth going to see. It's a 2 hour monologue/comedy stand up. With a 15 min intermission. There are drinks before and during the intermission. Flys by time wise. He plays a couple video clips of the author who wrote the book and they were funny as well.

Somewhat entertaining and funny, but not exceptional. Might be worth it if you can find discounted tickets, but don't pay too much as you probably won't find the value. Nothing particularly bad to say, but nothing "wow." I'd recommend spending money elsewhere.

Upon purchasing the tickets, I did not realize this was a one man show. Instead of a play it was more like a stand up comedy act. With that said it was interesting and funny although my wife laughed out loud far more than I did. It did offer some good information i an entertaining way.

Went on Valentines Day, and the show was great! A must see for all couples that have been married for 10+ years. It's like they are playing out your life. If you have been married for less than 10 years, it will still be great, just know it's now playing out your future! lol

Maybe I'm jaded because I've been to plays and comedy shows before. Maybe my expectations were higher because I'm familiar with the original book and subject matter. Others in the audience seemed to like the show, but I thought it was boring and fought to stay awake. Not only did the performer just tell personal stories, rather than cover the subject matter of the show's title but i didn't believe they were even his stories. I didn't appreciate his jokes or his story telling style. I got dizzy watching him run back and forth across the stage with no rhyme or reason. The fact that he couldn't sit still for more than a second on the stool or couch on stage I can only attribute to hemmeroids. I don't know if the performer was a last minute stand-in or the regular performer but even this poor material would have been better served by an actual actor instead of a guy who's only been in a couple of antacid commercials. Save your money and visit hot tix for any of the dozen great shows in Chicago at any given time. Even at Groupon prices this show was a waste of money.

Having purchased discounted tickets, I wasn't totally disappointed in the show. It felt as tho the actor was shouting, trying too hard to be heard. It was not a relaxed, confident performance.

If you are in a serious relationship or married this is a must see event.

The best part was the animated introduction. Although the actor came on with excitement and boundless energy, he was just not funny. Many anecdotes went nowhere.

It was very funny. One man show is fantastic. It is interesting,entertaining, and educational. My sister, daughters, and I came away with learning how to deal with the men in our lives. I highly recommended

Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus was a highly entertaining and relatable version of the book. We laughed out loud and wanted our closest friends there with us to join in the fun. We highly recommend!

This was a very enjoyable event on valentine's weekend. Guys, don't worry about losing your testosterone on this one. It was outstanding. It has the feel of bonding with your significant other and yet a stand up comedy act that even has a section about sex! The venue was small and intimate. Don't worry about where you sit, they all have a great view of the stage.

This play was very entertaining! Husband and I were laughing at the examples of differences between the sexes that we could totally relate to, uncanny! A good laugh for anyone who has ever been in a serious relationship! The actor who performs the monologue is incredibly talented and the snippets of Dr. Gray were tutorial, yet comedic! A MUST SEE!!!

The play was a one man show, a lot of physical humor, badly needed a woman in the play to assist. Best part of play was two video clips from Dr Gray.

I rarely write reviews of theater - but felt compelled in case. This was marginally entertaining at best. Based on a book written 25 years ago, it panders to worn-out stereotypes about men and women and their relationship. (Men are "providers" and don't want to come home after a long day's work and listen to their wives complain. Seriously?? Who thinks that way in 2017??) I found it's overly generalized characterization of both genders to be demeaning and inaccurate. There were some laughable lines, but they had little to do with the relationship between men and women. I could have left at intermission - in fact, the rest of our row did!

Funny but 1 man show not best way to get across themes from both sex perspective . Maybe one man and one woman. I think some woman humor mixed with man would be better.

I've never read Dr. Gray's book, so I don't know how much of the material in the performance was from the book or how much was punched up by Amadeo Fusca (or his writers). Amadeo was very engaging relating stories of the opposite sex's views of same situation. Everyone in the audience found many instances that they could relate to. The show contains comments and actions that apply to consenting adult situations; not really for kids. Grab some tickets, see the show and head to Mia Francesca's, down the street for dinner. Get the individual pizza. Amazing. Hope this helped.

Got my husband tickets for Christmas. This is a one man show, but he is very entertaining. He interacts with the audience, and keeps both men and women laughing through the whole night. LOVED IT!!

Had 'no idea what to expect" ..my wife laughed the entire time we had plans to be in Chicago for other reasons saw the title, took a chance and glad we did.

From the moment we took our seats (we were a little late b/c of Chicago traffic!) we laughed nonstop! He hit on so MANY things we all experience in everyday life. My husband and I also had many AHA moments throughout the performance. Great time and very talented young man!

Did not expect a one man show, but WOW, he blew us away. All ages were laughing from singles to married 30+ years. It hits on the real issues and differences between men and women.

The performance was very entertaining & funny. And the performer did a great job explaining the differences between men & women; very spot-on. I wasn't really expecting it to be a one-man show though. I would have thought there would be at least a man & a woman, since the show is Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus. The performer did a good job with the view points of both sexes, but it seemed strange that there was not a female involved.

Went on Valentines Day with my better 9/10. Audience ages from 20s through 70s. Everyone laughed throughout the show. It's fun to relax and laugh at yourself. The performance was high energy, quick witted, the comedian outstanding. Audience participation minimal but appropriate. Excellent animation to add emphasis. Come for a good time, leave your political correctness home and be entertained.

Hands down one of the best performances I have ever seen. And it was a one man show. Absolutely amazing actor. The audience laughed throughout the show. There was never a dull moment and it was really educational for anyone (even if they are not currently in a relationship). I loved every moment of it. It has been a long time since I have seen a performance like this. So simple, educational, hilarious and the actor was PHENOMENAL.

It was really funny and easy to relate to. Very educational as well. My date and I walked away with key learns that will be helpful in our relationship. Cool way to demonstrate John Gray's theory.

Didn't know what to expect from this show as we hadn't read anything about it ahead of time. Amadeo Fusca is a one man wonder. He does a wonderful job with the dialogue; you really feel like he is just telling you unscripted stories--very funny ones! Recommend this for any couple no matter how long they've been together.

I was so impressed by the energy and natural flow with which Amadeo presented this dialogue. It was so incredibly amazing how he made it feel as if he truly was just telling his story; I don't even know that he wasn't. He was that good. Everyone should see this! I can't believe more people are not talking about this show!!

We attended this show with 2 other married couples. Over the course of the remainder of the day and weekend, we referenced several parts of the show during our conversations. Plenty of laughter. Joshua was high energy and did a wonderful job connecting with the audience.
