Global Dance Festival

I've never attended GDF before, so I cannot compare the experience to Red Rocks, but I was really surprised to see just how spectacular the festival was. There were several rides, food trucks, multiple stages, fireworks, and art displays throughout the festival grounds. I just got back from EDCLV, and to be quite honest, it was nice to have a smaller crowd with a hell of a lot better food and transportation system to get to and from the event. The only thing I would recommend were more water refill stations, as well as bathrooms, with better signs leading to amenities. Other than that, I would definitely recommend GDF to first time attendees, I will be returning in the future! Thanks again Global and Denver, CO!

Best outdoor venue Colorado has to offer. World's best talent over three days. Skrillex is amazing, he could have headlined the event.

This venue is my favorite, any concert or dance festival would be a blast at red rocks. All the artists were incredible and there wasnt a moment without excitement and fun! I am definitely going next year for my 4th year of Global!

GDF 2011 was incredible! Skrillex killed it, Major Lazer brought the dancin' & LMFAO brought the party! Everyone was dressed to impress & as happy as could be at the most beautiful venue in the world!!

It was AMAZING! I had the best time of my life! Gareth Emery and Benny Benassi were off the chain!

All of the locals like Big Gigantic made this a really fun time to just dance with my friends. But when Kid Cudi came on I felt like I was going to fall asleep! I mean no disrespect to him. Like him as an artist and like a couple of his songs but it wasn't exactly something I could dance to really. Way too laid back and like cruising in your car kind of music... and I came to DANCE! :)

Big Gigantic hit it off and got the crowd full of excitement, the sun goes down and anticipation builds.....Kid Cudi comes out and does music from every album INCLUDING his mixtapes! His stage was beaming with colorful lights and video of Cudi's past shows! BEST PART OF GLOBAL BY FAR.

The first day of global dance festival was great! However, I wish there was a calendar to show the list of events and times so we would know what times the different shows were going on:

First rave type concert I've ever been to and now I'm hooked! Big Gigantic, Kid Cudi, and Sam Adams were out of this world! Best red rocks concert ticket Ive bought thus far!

With all the stages and all the support it was an amazing two day festival! Each stage felt like a totally different experience, and really enjoyed the mix genre this year!

Only thing we wish is that it started later and ended later due to the hot temps and being on the asphalt that early. All in all though it was an awesome 2 day event to share with my wife.

Incredible event! Great artists and lots of options! My one complaint is that they put all of the toilets in one section that had a funnel turning into it. Going to the bathroom was a nightmare every time!

Kind of sucked Global wasn't at Red Rocks this year, but regardless, GDF at Sports Authority Stadium was probably even better.

Global Dance in the the parking lot of Mile High Stadium was definitely way more than I expected it to be the tuning out wonderful especially day 2.

This event was okay. Didn't think that the stages were set up to be anything special. The event layout also was kinda weird. And I can't believe that they ended BEFORE MIDNIGHT both nights. That's just ridiculous.

I had an excellent time. It was a festive atmosphere with all of the great music and performers. I especially enjoyed the carnival rides. Would recommend better fireworks display

Sadly, I managed to miss the second night, but the first was so lackluster... Having paid the top tier price for the tickets, I didn't find them to be that great compared to if I bought the cheapest tickets ... so what was the point?

Was really bummed that they gave me a hard time using my mobile pass through apple pay. I was forced to go and print out my tickets anywhere i could find a printer and then come back. By the time i made it back i missed a lot of my favorite performances. Not sure if i would ever give them another chance, Coachella would be a much safer bet for me.

I've been going to Global Dance for the last 4 years and the move from Red Rocks to the south stadium lawn was a huge success. More room for the carnival vibe, real side stages for better acts and options, not to mention the food trucks, rides, and games.

Going back next year for sure, best experience of the year.

I absolutely loved this music festival! It was a great combination of everything: lights, music, carnival rides, food trucks, dancing, fireworks, confetti. Everything was awesome. I am blown away by the success of its first year at a new, bigger venue. I can't wait to go back next year!

I've made the the best memories of my life at Global Dance Festival and the new experience this year did not disappoint! I hope the make it a 3 night weekend next year!

Talent and venue were okay at best would of liked more high end djs. Not budgeted

Very epic event. Loved all the different things going on at once. Music with fire and fireworks was out of this world. Will be going back next year!

Most Amazing Expirience Ever! The VIP Village Was Convinient.

Short lines for concessions (Reasonable prices too). Thanks for allowing Camelbaks. I heard reports of a few people climbing the parking lot fence to sneak in. I also saw some people getting thrown out for that reason. Biggest issue is that all GA people were getting VIP tickets by accident if they happened to go to the VIP entrance. This caused VIP to be sold out, and i was unable to upgrade my ticket to VIP during the night. Also they ran out of VIP necklaces for actual ticket holders. The VIP bathrooms were overrun and it was likely because of this. Other than that no real complaints. Music could be heard everywhere (lines, food, bathrooms, water). GA bathrooms were plentiful. Maybe next year you could print the schedule in chronological order (That means with the early shows at the top, and the headliners at the bottom.) The reverse chronological ordered setlist may appease the headerliners who want their names at the top, but for us normal human beings, not a single person I know uses reverse chronological order for their daily schedule. Maybe you guys do it to obfuscate the lengths of the setbreaks, and set-times, but instead I drew up my own set times in Excel and distributed them on Facebook. Look at how Bonaroo, or E Forest draw their chronological schedules.

Not enough good artists for the money, they wouldn't even allow water in and it was 95 degrees outside, and they only had 2 locations on the whole site that had water and it kept running out so fast bc of everyone that wanted it. Ride lines were huge and vip bathrooms were disgusting and they only had 2! 2 for all of vip.. Ridiculous

Turns out red rocks is actually too big a venue for beats antique. But eoto and emancipator stole the show! Awesome event, stellar music, colorful characters. Will absolutely go again!

What an amazing experience. Driving up with friends and finding ourselves in one of the most breathtakingly awesome concert venues. The music was unbelievable and the space great. Beer was way to expensive.

This was my first rave, and I only heard about it when I was booking a hotel in Denver for a modeling shoot. It was completely amazing, and I had a blast. I can't wait for Skylab.

This was an amazing event with wonderful friendly people around! Such a great line ups as well as red rocks was beautiful!

i really enjoyed GDF. i have been enlightened by this festival. the first day opened my body, meaning it reminded me what dance music is and how to move with it. the second day opened my soul. it showed me that musicians arnt making there music for money. it showed me that they actually make it to make others happy. its a very selfless act that artists do. and they are having fun when they do it. a perfect example is above & beyond. when i was sitting there observing what they are doing . i noticed that they are trying to put a smile on everyones face. the third day showed me the raw power of this dance music. both zed's dead and excision's sets shook the earth beneath me. by the end of it all my mind was just blown away.

I had the time of my life!!! I Had sooo much fun!!! I didn't want it to end! Tons of people, outfits, everyone is just so down to earth!!! The light show is amazing, the songs are excellent. I can't wait for next year's show!!!!

Global was the party of the summer. Red Rocks is flippin' mental. Line-up was killer :p

Props to the GDMF organizers for putting on a very well run event. Great venue and perfect set up. Savoy was awesome, Datsik was epic and Gareth delivered a stellar set. The bad news is that Benny Benassi, one of the most exciting djs in electronic music has become boring and monotonous. I saw Benny a few weeks before at EDC Las Vegas and actually thought that maybe somehow I just didn't hear him play his biggest hits, "Satisfaction, "Come Fly Away", "I Am Not Drunk", "Spaceship", "Finger Food". Well KC confirmed it , he's just not playing them and it wouldn't be so bad if we was playing something else that was epic but what he played was so painful and boring with nothing happening. Who ever thought the Benny could suck this bad. Note to GDMF organizers for KC...Deadmau5, Porter Robinson, Afrojack, Dada Life, Manufactured Superstars, Felguk, Calvin Harris, Stanton Warriors, Kaskade

Title says it all. Will continue to go yearly for as long as it's around. By far better then last year, only wish it would last longer then 130am, maybe 4am, make it a real dance festival.

Please, please, please encourage these DJs to come back as soon as possible... Kansas City needs more techno! Looking forward to the Global Dub Festival in November! Thanks again :)

Global was amazing! Should be an extra day! I feel like the set times should have been planned out better. Other than that it was so good and will be going again.

The whole experience was the greatest 2 days ever. Could have been longer, stages could of been more separated because the music from other tents were blending, but i still had an amazing time

Everything was awesome, I flew down from Alaska for this event and it was totally worth it and the only thing I didn t like was Farris wheel wasn t there again /:

I loved the event I would have liked it more if there were more edm artists and less rap artists

Don t bring hip-hop artists anymore, bring more Edm djs

Festival was ok. Great performances by many artists. Too many sketch characters. Had phone stolen. Bad vibes.

For my very first festival I can for sure say this was 5 stars. Just amazing !

Deadmau5 did an incredible job, as always. Hes the classiest act there is. Tiesto and Flux were very good too! Such a fantastic experience.

The non dance music and different crowd to see those acts really ruined the event. Rap/Hip-hop is not compatable with electronic dance music. I enjoyed the bigger set up and the rides. The main stage was set up very good and overall the event was fun and accommodating.

I was highly disappointed I m used to going to music festivals that completely revamp their creative concept from year to year. That s what makes these other festivals so amazing to attend. This year I just saw the same old designs and decorations in slightly altered form or locations. I definitely won t be back next year and look to find another festival to fill this spot

Good for the EDM side of it but the rappers were kinda disappointing to be honest!

This was one of the best city festivals I've been to so many different sculptures and art! Also the preformers we're great and the VIP setup was just amazing to go relax after dancing for hours! Great job GDF!

Need more distance between stages. Also some more locations to sit.

The show was fun and the venue was cool but like a maze. The lineup was sparatic and random. Odd backto back sets and mixed up the vibe so much you couldn t get into a groove

It was so great. The atmosphere was welcoming and overall soo much fun.

Event was a blast, dj's were amazing. Only complaint is that all the portapottys were in one area, on the opposite side of the main stage. However, there were more than enough of them so wait times were not long at all.

It was fun you should make VIP get exclusive access to the after party clubs

It just wasn't the same as past years. It had a high school rave feeling about it. Wouldn't go again. I've attended for 6 consecutive years.

I purchased a 2-day VIP pass and did not regret it. The lineup was incredibly diverse and the amount of art present at this festival was very warming. Never have I been around so many open and loving people before, it was truly magical. I highly recommend this festival to everyone! One thing I feel could be improved upon is the VIP section for the Summit Stage. We were so close that we could barley see the artists who were Djing, especially while on the front rail! Maybe have the visual frames lower next year!

Everything from the atmosphere to the little details was amazing! Truly a wonderful show and the lineup was on point!

Everything was great we had a fabulous time but it felt like a mini EDC. Take it back to Red Rocks!!

Global Dance had a great lineup, and one of the best VIP viewing areas I've ever seen. Entry and exit was pretty easy and quick. The only suggestions I would make is in regard to the VIP bathrooms & Bar area. You need at least 2 - 3 times as many bathrooms setup and more bars. The fact that we had to wait in line for so long to use a disgustingly dirty bathroom with pee all over the floor is ridiculous. I also had to wait in line for 30 minutes to buy bottled water. The perk of VIP at any other festival is that you don't have to wait in line like the rest of people. That is where you lost the one star. Other than those two things the event was great!

This was by far the best EDM show I have ever been too. So much happiness and vibes at the show!

This festival was amazing. I had so much fun the line up for both days were freaking awesome. I would definitely go again.

All of the shows were incredible. Great audio and visuals. The event grounds were easy to navigate and all of the event staff were very friendly and helpful. Downsides: bathrooms were a hike and there were not a lot of places to just sit and chill. Overall great experience.

By far the greatest music festival I've personally ever been too!!! All the artists I hadn't seen live yet including a few of my favorites so it's an experience I'll never forget. I went with a few close friends so that combined with the awesome food, energy and music made for an unbelievable day!!!! I can now say im a lifetime GLOBAL attendee!!!!

Great lineup and a very well orchestrated event. All the staff I encountered were very friendly. I think the move from Red Rocks to Mile High Stadium was so smart, and I can totally see this festival growing even more!

As per usual, this year the Triad Dragons put on an epic three day event at the best small venue on earth, Red Rocks Amphitheater! Tons of great artists, all sampling from each other and at times even joining in with one another to create a unique, one of a kind event!

Red Rocks is always my favorite place to go for a show. Global Dub was a great show, my favorite of all the shows by far so far. So many great artists, great lighting and always great acoustics. Plenty of room for people. Easy accessibility. Love this place. Loved the show. Enough said :)
