The Blue Ocean Music Hall in Salisbury is an awesome venue. It is small enough that you feel up close and personal with the performers and everyone has a seat at a table, so there is no mosh pit feeling. Delta Rae was amazing. Their energy and the clarity of their voices was astounding. I'm even more of a fan now!

This show was great on so many levels. First, you had the BEST singer/songwriter with the most amazing voice in Liz Longley opening the show. She performed some of her gems and gave us some new music too. She's an amazing, unique artist in a world where all the rest sound the same. What can I say about Delta Rae? I saw them first by accident at Firefly but the powerful, soulful voice of Liz Hopkins drew me magnetically to their stage. This show at the Stone Pony was my sixth show and each one just gets better and better. Ian, Eric, Brittany, Grant, Liz, and Mike give 100% EVERY time. They are the hardest working band in the industry and this show was no different.

Did NOT make it to see the opening act but I saw TWO FINE BANDS for under $20! AUNT MARTHA rocked out! What a fantastic band with a sound unlike many others. To me they are the REAL DEAL! I think they will be a household name some day. Delta Rae's range of music, their harmonies & the unique way they embraced their audience were awesome! Th Bowery Ballroom as a venue did not disappoint: all-in-all a great evening of music.

I wish this concert didn't happen already because it was absolutely amazing. The openers were a little long, but Delta Rae did an awesome job... I didn't even care for their well-known song, "Bottom of the River," but the live version blew me away. They gave a great performance, probably one of the best I've seen in all my concert-going years.

Delta Rae is on the verge of stardom based on their energetic and captivating performance at the Bowery Ballroom. They are a unique band drawing from gospel, R & B and sort of like a spiritual Fleetwood Mac.

Small venue didn't really give the space for Delta Rae to really project their grand sound. Powerful group of voices with plenty of country soul. There was a very personal moment when they came down into the crowd and played a song in an acoustic style, absolutely beautiful. Those are the moments when an artist's talent really shines, and Delta Rae truly stepped up to the plate.

THE GRAET: Eric's and Ian's voices have matured greatly, and Eric's vibrato has really improved. Wonderful male voices!! "Forgive the Children We Once Were" is an outstanding song, very moving. The short acoustic set in the middle of the audience was tons of fun and allowed us to hear their beautiful, un-amplified sound. The Dancing in the Graveyard song is super catchy - just the type of stuff I want to hear. THE NOT GRAET: The volume was way too loud for the intimate space. I spent the first five songs cringing with every note instead of enjoying the music, until my ears finally went numb enough to actually hear their voices. Louder isn't better. The girls sometimes sounded like they were straining. If the instruments weren't so loud, they could sing at a more comfortable, nuanced level and still be heard. All the embellishments to "Holding on to Good" really detract from the poignant lyrics. The original, stripped down version is much more touching. Delta Rae needs to stop turning it's folk songs and ballads into rock songs, or they should just write boring lyrics that don't matter. The song "Fire" is awful. I can't stand Ian's evil growls of death. What a poor choice for ending the show. If this is the direction DR is headed, I want to get off the train. All in all, I think DR is an extremely talented band with outstanding lyrics and great harmonies. I just wish they knew who they were. I prefer the upbeat, folksy, harmony-driven version of the band, and am not so keen on the stress-inducing, intense rock version. But no one can deny their talent and creativity.

I had never been to a Delta Rae concert (or any musical concert for that matter) before and was a little nervous. However, from the opening act (Marc Scibilia) to the main course (Delta Rae) I was cheering and clapping. Marc opened strong and his music was very energetic. It was the main show that really had me in the music. Delta Rae gave a performance that held the name and soul of their music on high. The lighting, the sounds, the vocals, the instrumentals: NOTHING disappointed. TL;DR: If you can see these two live, GO! It was a steal for the money ($18, are you kidding me??).

The Birchmere is the perfect venue to see an acoustic performance. The opener, Penny and Sparrow, was amazing. And Delta Rae is a fantastic band. An acoustic performance for the band lets all four lead singers talent shine. It was the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and an incredibly moving experience.

Delta Rae. Who? People trapped in rap are missing a powerful, talented group. I bought four tickets the minute I saw they were playing locally and the people I took were saying "Who is Delta Rae?". Now they know this is a sexy, powerful, rocking, vocalizing, harmonizing, talented band that puts on a great show. With only two albums out, they rocked the house for 90 minutes. Great light show, great choreography, excellent visuals. Super show. Here's what I would recommend for the band: Go to Bourbon Street in New Orleans and buy up all the decorations and clothing and go wholesale with skulls, gravestones, pirates, voodoo and more. DR has the songs that fit this theme and this could give them the groove with the tattoo freaks that drive the music industry. Also, have the hot blonde babe and the curvaceous brunette give me a call. We could make some serious music together!

I have experienced Delta Rae in several venues, indoor/outdoor, huge theaters/small coffee shops, they NEVER fail to bring an amazing show. They are crazy talented. They all sing, they all play instruments and they all have a great time doing it. Their vocals are dead on. Their lyrics are captivating. Their energy is infectious. Buy a bunch of tickets, go with your friends, stay after and meet the band (they are damn fine people). You wont be disappointed. GO!

I've seen this band three times and they just keep getting better! The most recent show in Raleigh, NC had a new light show that really enhanced the performance. The musicianship and raw energy of the band is great - their bassist is really fun to watch. The live performance is so heartfelt it makes the recorded versions of their songs pale in comparison. I don't mean that as a put-down of their albums but rather a compliment for their live show. It is remarkable and a must see for everyone. It will leave a lasting impression on even the most casual fan and it will serve as a wonderful experience for die-hard fans

The band didn't hold the audience long after the opening act. They came right out and greeted their home town. From the beginning they came out with a bang and it only elevated from their. The audience was an eclectic mix and everyone was tapping their feet and bobbing their head to the music. The vocals were amazing and sounded just like on the record! They added a violinist on about two songs and that was pretty darn cool. A show for ALL ages and I definitely recommend it to anyone!

I loved the mix of old and new songs, as well as the a cappella song they did. Eric talked about some of the songs and their genesis, so I learned something too! They put their heart and soul into each song and they show such appreciation to their fans. They added a violinist this time around who was hugely talented. Their appeal is boundless. My husband and I are in our fifties, and we brought along my 21-year-old daughter and her friend. One of the reasons I try to attend their concerts when they are around is I know with 100% certainty they won't disappoint. Another is their unique song lyrics and themes--yes, love is one of them--but so is Bethlehem Steel and the Mexican night of the dead. I pay attention to lyrics and Eric and Ian are true poets! I'm looking forward to seeing them again!

Delta Rae does not disappoint! From a well-set stage in a charming venue to creative lighting effects to the fact that they are all just fantastic singers and instrumentalists, I would have to say this is probably the best concert I've ever attended. To be fair, I don't go to a lot of concerts, I usually only spare the time and money for my favorite bands, but even then it's rare that I'm actually blown away by their performance. Other venues were ear-ringingly loud and the vocals were mixed poorly under the other instruments, which were all so loud it could be difficult to pick them apart. I'm not sure if it's Boston Royale or Delta Rae themselves, but they seem to know how to mix their lines so they sound just as good if not better than they do on their albums. They also knew exactly how to light the stage (and even had lights in the small trees behind them) to put the best emphasis on their music. I'm also starting to really love shows at these small clubs with general seating/standing room, cause you can get really close and actually see them perform. It feels very personal. Anyways, if you have a chance to see Delta Rae live, don't miss it!

Went on a whim with no expectations but wasn't too impressed. Stage performance was a little too showy so it seemed mismatched to their music. We ended up staying until the end but considered taking off a bit early. All in all, not bad, but not great. I don't think I would go again.

Delta Rae was by far my favorite concert I have ever been to. Spectacular music, spectacular talent, and such a mesmerizing performance. The Royale was large enough to hold a good-sized crowd, but small enough so that the concert felt personal and intimate. The opener, Greg Holden was wonderful as well, and kept the crowd's energy up the whole time. Would pay triple what I paid for a ticket to see them again!!

Went to the Parker Playhouse to see them. The venue is old school and cool. The show was beyond hot! The band has so much talent. And they are family so they've had decades to work out their sound and harmonies and it shows. They did just about every song from their two albums. They even did one song acapella. They sounded incredible on stage. The music was very tight. The drummer was amazing. Nuff Said... If they come to your town grab a ticket and have a seat. You are in for a show.

Let me start off by telling you I have known three of the members longer than all of y'all! The Hölljes kids are my brother's three children. I too am a singer but very different style. I love hearing these 4 voices with the inclusion of Liz as they weave intricate patterns of sound that can be as rich and dense as medieval tapestry to as sharp and crisp as an oriental silk rug. Like these rich fabrics their songs are all about telling great stories you can identify with regardless of your age. Another thing they do is they share the spotlight and they have been together as singers many more years than you would think since they grew up together. It is this unselfish attitude and the way they connect with their audience that makes it so comfortable to enjoy an evening listening to them and going on a great journey you don't want to end! That to me is a signature of a great performing group. I cannot fully express how much joy it has brought me to see them rise and become an emerging and significant talent on the national scene. I helped them get booked into Capital Ale House Music Hall a couple of years ago only to be sure Richmond got to be one of their regular stops as they tour. Delta Rae is always welcome at UnkaJunk's house, even if you have moved up to The National! I hope other people will find their own reasons to become fans of Delta Rae but for me a lot of it has to do with loving the 3 that were my little niece and nephews and my kids favorite cousins. In the time we have known the band we have also become very fond of Liz as well as Mike and his lovely wife and Grant. Together Grant with Mike create the musical background like a loom's warp through which Ian, Eric, Liz and Brittany weave the vocals to create such beautiful music. It is always a rich and luxurious experience for your ears. I love this band and love these kids they are all not just talented they are genuinely sweet and decent people.

Delta Rae has been classified as "Country Rock", but they are in a class by themselves. It was a high energy performance with four singers out of the six musicians. They are all excellent. I attended the concert on the recommendation of a friend who is a fan, having only actually heard one of their songs (Dance in the Graveyard), so I didn't go with a lot of expectations. I really thought the video on that one added a lot to it, so I was a little uncertain going in about whether the live experience, without the ability to do a lot of song-specific effects and makeup, would be a good. I need not have worried. The live stage show was amazing. Whoever was running lights and sound for them (which I suspect is someone with the band, rather than the venue, given how tightly synced it was to the music) was a wizard. The lights and the music were perfectly in tune, and enhanced the whole performance without a lot of other special effects being needed. I was also struck by the way the lead role passed around, depending on the song. The band is a real team, not a lead with some backup players. Good original songs, and good solid rock and roll. Well worth staying up past my bedtime on a worknight for.

They are a great American band that appeals to all senses and gives a shiver-down-your-spine, can't-stop-smiling, upbeat performance. I would pay to see them again and again (and I know I will!).

Liz feeds it right to your heart and always has an easy going, lighthearted energy about her. She makes you feel at home. She is the perfect opener for Delta Rae! And Delta Rae.. They're just always perfect! I loved all of their new music and really appreciated the honesty they have with their fans. Real people, real artists, real talent. Couldn't ask for more!!

This band is absolutely phenominal. I always go there expecting more songs that they have sung previously and they always impress me by doing something totally different. This concert was 80% new material that they were trying out with audiences for the first time. I have been two 3 concerts of Delta Rae now and every time I have been utterly and emotional impressed at how deeply their songs and performances end up affecting us.

Delta Rae was absolutely incredible! My friends and I couldn't believe it but they were actually better live than on the album. The energy was incredibly, despite the crowd being small, and the band members gave their all in the performance. Definitely recommend!

This is the first time I have ever heard Delta Rae and I was blown away. It is rare today for a group like this to have such clear and powerful vocals to go along with the instrumentals. The energy was so high and the quality of the music so good. I cannot wait to see them in performance again somewhere.

This was my first time seeing Delta Rae live and I can say without exaggeration that this was the best concert I have ever been to. I have no idea how they maintain that level of energy every night on stage. The crowd was into it and you could tell the band loves what they do. I have vowed to see them from now until eternity every time they come to Boston. INCREDIBLE SHOW!!

Not only do they perform a great concert, they sound spectacular live and make an attempt to meet all their fans after the show. They had conversations with all of us and made sure to ask our names and thank us for coming. Completely down to earth.

I thought they brought a TON of energy, especially knowing that their tour is extremely hectic. They apologized for being in a rush and wished they could share more stories behind the music but as a true fan, you understand that they are not the ones in control of their schedule. I truly believe if they had more time, they would have shook everyone's hand who was there. I absolutely love them and can not wait to see them again!

I loved their debut album "Carry the Fire" so was very excited to see them in concert at Royale in Boston. As always when I first see a band live I was curious what their stage presence would be and how the material would translate to a live performance. They were incredible - from the first notes of the chorus from Twisters in the Canyon/Run to the percussion frenzy of Dances in the Graveyard, the power and beauty of their vocals were awesome. The band members and sellout crowd fed off each other throughout, resulting in an impressive and kick-ass show. The Falls did a great job warming up - beautiful harmonies and solid songs.

They're so high energy live! They obviously put a LOT of effort into practicing and making their live performances awesome, they were interactive with te audience and told stories about some of the songs which was great. A really good variety of songs too. Had a lot of fun!

Delta Rae as a group is fantastic, but the volume for this event was so loud that our whole party had to leave. We tried changing seat locations, even moving to a different floor with ear plugs, but nothing helped.
