I missed a chance couple years back to see the Amazing Lord Malmstein so was so glad he came to the House of Blues on 11/2. He parties like its 1989. Fingers flying, leather pants, and hair waving in the fog machines. All kidding aside, he truely is a gifted musician and unique talent. I have never seen anything like it. Rising Force was a great start to the show. The singer and bandmates were all really good. He did a couple of acoustic numbers that were really fantastic. He could do a whole show of acoustic. I was glad he did a movement from his Concerto as well to show how talented he really is. My only gripe was that it was just painfully loud. Maybe it was partially due to where I was sitting in the upper tier with the speakers right in front of me. Other than that it was a killer show. Go see it. With Earplugs.

Got there on time and got as close as I could. Yngwie can on stage around 9:30 and played until almost midnight. He played his new and old favorite hits, he was awesome to see.

Solid performance by the master. Still i consider him to be the greatest. He is no doubt the best guitarist not only oh his era but even today. Kids all over the world try to immitate him, learn from him, yet cannot come close. Yngwie gave solid 2 hours of his best stuff, rock , blues, and classical. Looks as young as ever, plays even better than when I saw him 20 yrs ago. Played even stuff from Rainbow and Lacatraz. My 14 year old son took an interest in guitar playing and I thought why not take him to see the best. This was the best music lesson for him, probably of his life time.

This concert was a real treat. Not only did he play many of his timeless classics, but there were new songs from the current album as well as the best live blues number I've ever heard on an electric guitar. Yngwie Malmsteen is the greatest electric guitarist there is, bar none.

After 25 years and through many changes in the industry, Yngwie remains true to what brought him recognition. He alone can stand to take credit for starting the wave of virtuoso guitarists who took inspiration from the classical masters.

not a big fan of anything he has done since joe lynn turner left the band (or have i truly not giving it a listen) but heard he had the ripper singing so i gave it a shot. wow can this guy still play, i would have to say yes he maybe the best guitar player ever. only problem i had with the show is i am simply not use to seeing him overweight. i remember him being a tooth pick. come on yngwie hit the gym so you can look better in those 85 leather pants. but you are no doubt the best at what you do.

As always, Yngwie is an amazing player. However, this time around, he needed a much better sound board manager. The sound was terrible. Vocals were so low in the mix that they could barely be heard. The bass and keys were distorting terriblly. We left during the encore, and the sound was much better outside the theater...

Yngwie and band put on an incredible show. Ripper is amazing. Warm up band was a drag. I did think their drummer was very very good though....

Everything was great. Local opening act was good, sound was fine, Yngwie set the place on fire. One thing I will say - those damn red lights. The whole concert was shrouded in red... Drove me nuts.

Went to see Yngwie Friday night. The first band on stage had a good guitarist but then Yngwie blew him out of the water. Rock on!

Incredible show. Yngwie and the band were as good as you would expect from a live performance. Every one was spot on. So very talented and will always be a force to reckon with. Hope They keep making incredible music for the fans that appreciate their talent.

No doubt the world's greatest shredder. Technique, expertise, timing and accuracy like no other guitar player. The guitar is an extension of Yngwie's soul and he will mesmerize your auditive capabilities. He likes it loud and at times a bit too loud, bring ear plugs, relax and enjoy the journey into the land of arpegios, 1/2 steps and crazy combinations you never thought were possible.

My 23rd Yngwie show, and once again he was on fire. Parker Playhouse was the perfect venue for this show. Very comfortable seating and great staff.

Just pure genius, fast playing, guitar leaking Y Malmsteen. He played about 1.5 hours with combination of hits songs in his early career. This is the second time I saw his show and never have regrets coming to his show. At this time there's a few minutes drum solo and the concert ends with guitar bashing/smashing at the stage by Malmsteen. I like it that way...I hope to see this guy again. There you have it the number #1 guitarist on the stage.

Nice venue, great show ! Played for about an hour & 45 minutes. The usual standards, but a few I'd not heard performed before live. We'll definitely be seeing YM again.

I'm a musician, I love loud guitars. Yngwie was amazing, but it was so loud it actually hurt. I've never had to use earplugs before, but had to this time.

The sound was way too loud (and I like loud), but it was deafening. The sound quality was poor and there were too many interruptions due to break downs (almost all instruments had trouble), plus he compressed the songs to jump straight to the shredding part instead of playing them completely. And why is he singing??? Stick to the guitar, mate (at best case some backing vocals)!

Yngwie Malmsteen has always been about musicianship and performance. After so many years, he's still very much on top of his game. From start to finish it's unforgettable show. Although there were some technical difficulties, Yngwie handle them like a pro. He has surrounded himself with top notch musicians who enhance his guitar virtuosity. From new material to the classics, everything was performed with heart, soul and passion. Looking forward to his return!!

All you could hear was his guitar. He had it turned up so much louder than the rest of the band, that he drowned everyone else out. He's a great guitarist, but also a bit arrogant. Also the venue made his guitar echo so much that it made his playing somewhat indecipherable.

The Band he has now, is his best he's had in years, everybody works together nicely ...it's a great show and a must see.

Yngwie was awesome! But, he only played for 80 minutes. To see a true master of the art was amazing. The problem was there was supposed to be an opening act, there wasn't, so we stood around for 2hrs before he came out and he only played for about the time most opening acts do. So it was an amazing concert but if he were to come back I would probably pass on seeing him again.

This time out, Yngwie and his band sounded great. yngwie's tone is much better than the last time I saw him.

We got there early had great seats. The whole concert was awesome. Gary Hoey was great as for Bumblefoot they were different. But Malmsteen put on a great show as he usually does every time I see him.

Sure Yngwie holds his own as one hell of a guitar player... Gary and Bumblefoot unfourtantly are not in the same league. Truthfully I purchased the tickets to see Uli Jon Roth play a show with his band (not his students) for a change. Very dissapointed when I found out 3 days prior to the show that he would not be playing this tour. Tell us about your seats.....The box office "upgraded" my seats to the floor. Stateing that the "Mezz/Balc was closed." After argueing with Will-Call ticket guy to give me the seats I had paid for...Then the ticket taker at the door for another 10 min she finally told me we could sit upstairs.

The most amazing concert! Better than I could have ever imagined. I've seen Yngwie many times, but this surpassed anything that came before. Thank you so much Yngwie :)

The Best Concert of My Life Bands And Venue ROCK ! SABAN DEFINATLY A MUST SEE AS ARE THE BANDS

First of all the concert started at 8:00 p.m. not 9:00 p.m. as printed on tickets and listed on the Saban Thearter website, so we missed all of Bumblefoot. Gary Poey was fine, good rapport with crowd, as for the headliner Malmsteen, he was way too loud and intense, zero subtlety and just was a show off as to how many notes he could play as fast as possible. Playing a blizzard of notes does not a musicain make...it should be musical and it was not. I consider this a waste of time and money.

When I first saw the bill i was very excited "GUITAR GODS " Y.J.M. Gary Hoey and my all time favorite ULI JON ROTH . I bought tickets at once,well in advance, as to get the best possible seats and to make sure i do not miss this show!!!! , I have seen these guys many times before and was looking forward to this show. well needless to say when i found out that Uli was not at the show i was disappointed...I went to the show just to see Uli..the other acts (for me) filled out a great show. I didn,t find out Uli was forced to withdraw due to work visa problems, until I got to the Saban so ..........................the reason for two star review...would have been five...saban theatre sounds great.. great place to see show !!!!! If you went to see Y.J.M. it was a great show.

All 3 artists were terrific. I got to meet Gary and Bublefoot after their performances, very nice guys! Beautiful theater.

How anyone can play guitar like that for 1 1/2 hours is beyond me. A great concert!!!!

Simply put - and I've believed this for years - Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal may be the single most underrated guitarist of the past 2 decades. He is equal parts creativity and fire; chops and musicality; sarcasm and sincerity; songwriting and solos... Etc. There's a "yin and yang" factor that makes Bumble one of the most well-balanced, honest, ingenious players on the planet. And he just keeps getting better... Bumblefoot's performance in Huntington was profoundly impassioned and musically stunning. For being only 2 shows in to the tour, the band was extremely tight and fired all cylinders. In particular, drummer Dennis Leeflang was musically flawless and teeming with energy and personality. As for Thal, he led the band and his enraptured audience through a short-but-sweet musical journey that included stunning guitar-driven instrumentals ("Guitars Suck", "Guitars Still Suck", and the "Pink Panther" theme), and a balanced mix of other songs that included the emotion-drenched "Turnaround", "Objectify" and "Dash", and equally fun/quirky/energetic "Abnormal", "Real" and "Raygun". I was pretty close to the stage at the beginning of the set, and by the end, the size of the crowd behind me had tripled, and all were smiling, feeling the electricity in the room, totally blown away by the band's performance. Despite the attempted humor in the headline of this review, it goes without saying that Yngwie was amazing, as expected, and Gary Hoey was also highly entertaining. Other reviews of this tour are sure to reflect that in greater detail, but I wanted to take this opportunity to call attention to Ron's set, which was one of the best live performances I've seen in years. If you're a fan of amazing guitar playing and great songs, you absolutely MUST go to one of these shows.

Out of all the performers, I thought Gary Hoey was the best. He was cordial & couldn't thank his fans enough. He played songs from his albums. On the other hand, seemed like Yngwie Malmsteen was a bit full of himself. Very talented guitar player but a bit repetitious. He could've been just as much of a star had he had his band on stage with him. I was bored after the 1st 20 minutes.

Yngwie is great as always but he needs a new singer. Bring back Ripper!!!!

Incredible show. All three guitarists were amazing, and the Paramount is a great venue, I will definitely go back. I thought the show was better then the G3 tour which Ive seen three times with different guitarists+ Satriani. I wish Bumblefoot played longer. Hoey was great and really got the crowd going for Yngwie, who destroyed. I only watched the opener from my seats which were great at the front upper side of the stage, but I ended up standing stage side for Hoey and Yngwie, just feet from them which was incredible. Only downer was - Uli Roth was not there, and I didn't hear anything about why at the show. Yngwie went out and played for an hour and a half and really put on a show to make up for it, but I really was looking forward to seeing Uli Roth. I looked online when I got home and he had visa troubles, the govt wouldn't let him into the country.

Incredible talent , knows how to put on a rock show! Took my teenage son he a loved it ! Couldn't believe how a band could be so obvious in showing how much they love what they do! And they have they talent to back it up!

Yngwie is a master of guitar playing and he was great in his concert, but he really really need a singer for his band

Amazingly talented, guitar pick drop-kicking, leather pants wearing, Fender shredder of a show! Dude had tons of energy and totally gets what its all about.... playing to the crowd they way you expect your rock hero to do and having fun doing it! Great show!

What can you say? The virtuosity of this musician is unmatched. His skill on the guitar is other worldy! It is a marathon of attacking the fretboard that has to be seen and experienced to believe. I for one, will never miss another oppurtunity to watch this master of guitar perform.

I first saw Yngwie in Germany in 1988 at a small club during the tour for the Odyssey album. I wore the shirt from back then to this show. Stood 3 people away from the stage this time. I credit him with inventing speed metal. But his guitar playing is melodic and classical. He has this trick of kicking guitar picks out to the audience that is originally cool. I have a few of his albums so I knew most of the songs. Small venue so he was almost close enough to touch. He's a great artist and showman. Fast and emotional playing.

Yngwie was absolutely fantastic. He looked in great shape, played flawlessly the best guitar I have ever seen. If God were to come down from Heaven as a guitar player, he would be Yngwie Malmsteen. Truly The Guitar God! I will attempt to see him the next time he is in town. I even considered driving to the next state to see him again. Way to go Yngwie you have gotten better all around. This is the second time I have seen him, (fist time was with the G3 tour many years ago) when he was crowed on the stage by Steve Via, (whos amps were turned off or something. We couldnt hear him for his fist 10-15 minutes of play) and Joe Satrianni. I really respect all 3 of those guys. Yngwie I think is the best guitarist in the world.

I've not seen Yngvie since 2005 at a Houston concert and he has demonstrated that he is getting better with age. As a guitarist, I try very hard to pay attention to what Yngvie does on his guitar. But it is nearly impossible for the naked eye to keep track of the lightening fast riffs he commands as he gently scales his Fender. If you haven't seen the master of the guitar at work, you are definitely missing out on this god!

Very disappointed with the Guitar Gods show at the Saban. When we bought our tickets, Uli Jon Roth was on the bill but he was dropped early in the tour (and not replaced). We can get over that - only three artists instead of four on the night - ok. But then, when we arrived just before 9pm - the start time that was printed on our tickets - we discovered that we had already missed one of the acts - Bumblefoot - as the show had begun much earlier....and we were half-way through Gary Hoey's set. Unforgiveable! The headliner - Yngwie Malmsteen then came on and performed a very disappointing set. He was fine but his "band" was very bargain basement. The three - drummer, bass guitarist and keyboard/vocalist looked and sounded like unprepared, union scale musicians. Huge cringe-factor when the bass player continually took to the microphone in between songs to either tell (bad) jokes or throw accolades at "the maestro" and "the genius" that is Yngwie Malmsteen. Bad, poorly executed show at a great venue.

For over 35 years Yngwie Malmsteen has amazed people with his guitar playing ability, defiantly a true virtuoso of guitar players! As the first show of his U.S. tour it did have a few problems with sound and finding what guitar went with what song.

Yngwie Malmsteen was AMAZING !!!!! He still gives 110% of himself into his performance !!! No one left disappointed !!! His playing was as good if not BETTER... than when I saw him open for Ozzy in the early eighties !!!! A true bargain at the price of $40.00 per ticket !!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SEEING HIM !!!!!

Yngwie's latest album is appropriately titled! And the show lives up to the hype! Yngwie is more than just a guitar god; he is a composer, a true musician, and he rules the stage. The Ripper's vocals compliment YJM very well, but doesn't outshine the master! Hey, we all really came to see the master! If you aren't an Yngwie fan yet, you'll be a die-hard once you see him live!

GREAT show! I think I counted 9 Marshall stacks and 33- 50 watt heads. I love my rock loud but I the sound guy must have been deaf... way too loud. Thank God I brought earplugs!

Amazing concert at Northern Lights, Clifton Park/NY. Drove 2.5 hours to an unforgettable show. Malmsteen is a great performer and entertainer, and the band is great as well. One of the best shows I've been and can't wait for another chance to see Malmsteen and his band... I've waited my whole life for this first chance... Thank you Yngwie for all and please come back to New York soon !!!

Yngwie is an amazing guitar player but he fails to play the songs that he is famous for. Overall was worth seeing him perform in such an intimate setting.

Very good concert from Malsteem. He shined on his guitar skills. Super loud was expected, but it was worth seeing one of the best guitar players in the world.

Let me begin by saying that Malmsteen is one amazing guitar player! His talent and ability on the guitar is unprecedented, in my opinion. Unfortunately, the crowd was unable to witness the full effect of that awesomeness that Malmsteen brings to the stage because of the unprofessional, unskilled, and negligent production efforts of the stage and sound crew at the Cone Denim Entertainment Center. First, the doors were to open at 7:00 pm so that the crowd could be situated and ready for the show to start at 8:00 pm. Due to unpreparedness, the doors were not open until around 7:45 pm, leaving the show to be delayed almost an hour. Second, the Cone Denim production team did not inform the crowd that an opening act was going to precede Yngwie on the stage. I've been to concerts before, so I am aware that there is usually an opening act -- but they at least kept the audience informed about it. Third, the sound crew was baffled in regards to knowing how to tune Malmsteen's guitars; they erred in sustaining volumes on the amplifiers; they added an insane amount of distortion, leaving the audience unsure of which songs were playing; they overused the fog machines, leaving Malmsteen nearly invisible much of the time; they failed multiple times in being ready to hand Malmsteen's guitars to him. Throughout the show, you could witness Malmsteen walking back to the amps...trying to fix the sound, and then walking over to the sound/stage crew, letting them know what they were doing wrong. After a while, Malmsteen just gave up trying to explain the errors to the sound/stage crew, and just proceeded with the show. Malmsteen is one of my favorite guitarists, and I believe I was not able to witness everything that he was capable of because of the shortcomings of the production crew at the Cone Denim Entertainment Center. This bad review is not for Malmsteen; it is for this place.

Yngwie put on a good show. Guitar was awesome as always, and the support band was excellent. Not enough of his earlier material played during the set, and I was not fond of songs being partially played..... in other words, you might get one verse, one chorus, no bridge, and one long guitar solo. They didn't do the songs their full justice -- they didn't rock at their full potential due to being shortened. Light show only 1/2 working during their stop in Greensboro.... still good, but not great. Not sure if this is on the venue or the roadies. All that said, it was a fun night, and I'd go again.

I always wanted to see Yngwie & was beginning to think that I wouldn't, then he shows up in a small venue in downtown Greensboro. He was everything that I expected & more. If he comes to your town & you want to see a guitar legend, then don't miss his show.

Great show with a guitar legend! I saw him together with Joe Lynn Turner on vocals back in my home country Sweden 30 years ago. Good to see that he still has the same energy, the rock star attitude and as always his guitar skills are phenomenal!

OMG, the show was PHENOMENAL!!! If you're wondering what it's like to be in the presence of a god, see Yngwie live and you will know!! My hubby and I have both been fans since the 80's, but neither of us has been able to catch a show until now. This was on his bucket list! The venue was not sold out, surprisingly and shamefully, but Yngwie gave 500% with an encore!!! He did a rendition of The Star Spangled Banner that blew Hendrix's away! He had you asking, "Eddie Van Who?" Totally worth every penny and then some. Do yourself a favor and see this show! You will be amazed, impressed, and grateful that you did!!

It was our first time at Huntington Paramount for a concert seeing Yngwie Malmsteen for the first time! It could have not been any better of a setup! From the staff to the sound system and right down to the main performers for the price it was great! I highly recommend it! I will definitely be looking for future concerts at that venue. Thank you!

I hadn't seen Yngwie since 86 and he has been putting out CD ever since.With the intimate setting of Mercury Ballroom,Yngwie was able to let loose and never let go.It was an amazing night of Awesome Guitar Playing.

I am very disappointed with the quality of the meet & greet...some points need improvement: *There were not enough sizes on the t shirts (most were size s) * The collective meet & greet laminate was not received and the meet & great was very short. I think it started late and yngwie was in a hurry to start the show. The staff were very friendly and Yngwie an excellent person but the time was very limited. Yngwie is a superstar and deserves to deliver the same quality to her fans. The show was amazing and Yngwie is a true guitar hero... a legend.
