I really enjoyed the show. Ginn's playing was brilliant and the rhythm section was tight. I did not expect Mike V to be the same as the past brilliant Black Flag vocalist, but he rose to the occasion and put on a commendable performance. I have seen Black Flag about a dozen times in the past.

Greg Ginn is the only original member of Black Flag and went expecting it to be more of a Black Flag "cover band" experience. I figured they would be playing a lot of new songs and less of the "classics". I was pleasantly surprised! They opened with an odd new song, but, it was immediately followed by songs from their first EP and they continued to play songs from every decade of the Black Flag discography. Frankly, the only reason I decided to go was that I was able to get "2 for the price of one" tickets. I'm glad I went and would would pay full price to see them again!

Black Flag is my favorite band, and upon seeing they'd be in my state, I had to go. Cinema Cinema opened the night with an intense energy fueled performance. The crowd seemed entertained. I loved their set, bought their album and a sticker to support them after their set. Then Black Flag came on, and immediately kicked off with Rise Above. They played classics like No Values, Jealous Again, Annihilate This Week, Slip It In, Depression, and it all sounded killer. Mike Vallely is a total badass at the mic, and tore through the songs. All the instrumentation was tight, and the new line up just worked. I got a bunch of my stuff signed after the show and met the band. If Black Flag were to come back, I would definitely see them again.

Killer show- this new line-up of Black Flag is amazing, and the show was worth every penny. Watch out for the short haired bartender lady though, for some reason our drinks cost twice as much than when other people got us our drinks.

Black Flag, an early name and the start of a unique style of punk. I had the Henry Rollin jokes and comments constantly. Sadly no Rollins but a solid line-up nonetheless. Not to be biased, alot of the reason I even went was for original founder/guitarist Greg Ginn. The downside of this show was the sound guy toinked too much on the sound that the show seemed imbalanced and the out of tune guitar-bass was a bit agonizing by the fourth song. Anywhoo, they played the classics, brought the energy and show. The singer Mike I believe his hame is, delivered vocal strength and adrenaline that was constantly entertaining and challenging. A last minute change of instruements was a great way to end the show, as it was an unexpected unpredictable punk-esque attitude. Would I see another show, maybe!

All the hits! Police Story, Gimmy Gimmy Gimmy, 6 pack, TV party!!!! I couldn't resist the slam pit for ol' times sake!!!! Great way to blow off some steam! Um, House of Blues, $15 Beers? Really? This was the first punk show that had a guy in the john handing out paper towels and breath mints! A far cry from Al's Bar (RIP) or the Olympic Ballroom!

I first saw Black Flag in 1980 @the Fleetwood. "I" associate bands mainly with the vocals, so any incarnation of "Black Flag" with someone other than Keith, Ron, or Dez (maybe Henry), is not Black Flag in "my" opinion. I do not like the new front man. Greg still rips, until he gets on his theremin, which should be left for his Good For You band......which I did not like one bit when I saw them last year when BF played the Vex.......by the way-Ron was great! I would much rather see FLAG. On a side note, if you get a chance to see Black FAG.....DO IT, you won't be disappointed.

Black Flag was awesome! Love Mike Vallely he's like Chavo, Dez, & Rollins all wrapped up in to one singer but still has his own style! Gin still rips it up too!
