First of all I was super hyped thinkin' I was gonna see my favorite 80s R&B Group! But only Jane showed up and she had what looked like Vanessa Williams brother whose voice was horrid subbing for Carl McIntosh, and some Rahzel looking hypeman yellin' 'Turn Up!' like we're at the Dipset Reunion which was the next performance in B.B. Kings that night. I thought I was in the Twilight Zone or SNL, and to make things worse 2 songs into the show Jane forgot lyrics to my favorite song 'Gonna Make You Mine'. I hung around for the rest of the show and left during the finale 'Hangin' On A String'! I WAS ROBBED! They should stop performing with this line-up! CallMeAHerb

I was a bit disappointed in the overall stage presence of Jane Eugene. She's no longer apart of the original trio and unfortunately she's traveling (or not) with a cover band (probably local to each city). She had not rehearsed with them; hence, the overall stage presence was extremely sub par. Her appearance lacked the dynamics of an entertainer with stage presence. Her vocals are still very good but I felt that the overall production was just blah.

The concert was crazy! Jane did really well she carried the group even though she was a little tired from her earlier performance. She still did well! The band and the background singers were excellent. I hope the Howard Theater will have them back soon. And maybe with Carl Mc.

I have loved Loose Ends for years. This was my 1st time seeing them perform live and I was disappointed in the length of the show. They performed maybe 4 songs.

Love the show! She sounded fantastic! However the Service was AWFUL!!! very disorganized and slow! I was shocked with it being my first time at the Howard theater. it's been open long enough for them to get this right! The staff was not courteous or friendly in anyway! I have already purchased tickets for Marry Mary in April now I am not sure if I want to go. I probably won't be rushing to attend any shows at the Howard Theater do to my experience!!

Loose Ends we're amazing. We had sooooo much fun!!! There is a $10 minimum at the tables so you have to buy something. The food is just okay nothing special and its overpriced!!! Eat before you come and buy a desert to meet the $10 table minimum. I recommend sitting in the balcony. Great view and more space. All in all we had a nice time!!!

The band was happy to be in NYC. They played their hits. They played their favorites. There was a packed audience. They knew the songs, sang the lyrics, danced to the beats. What more can you ask for? Great show! They were fun, engaging and funky! Background singer Dominique, was off the chain!!!

A great old school evening!!!! The opening act Robert Gee put on a great set. Hometown guy from Philly (also went to the same high school MLK) put it down. Keith Washington was a surprise. Loved his Teddy Pendergrass covers. Loose Ends took me back to the 80's when I lived in Maryland. I still remember riding around listening to them on my cassette player. They still sound great. So glad my wife and I attended.

The show was amazing, but the reason for the 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ instead of 5 is because the two original men in the group were not there.

Loose Ends was excellent!! They almost sound exactly the same as they did 40 plus years ago!! B.B. Kings seating is terrible!! In some area you can't stand up unless the person behind you and next to you moves out of their seat! Yet you had empty tables in front of the stage for no-show VIPs!!

All of the artist were great. Loose Ends had everyone out of there seats and did a really good performance. The only draw back was that they only did about 4 songs. The other performers did a lot more songs than Loose Ends, which was a disappointment. The Theater sound system was off the wall sensational...would go there any time for a concert.

There were three (yes 3) acts who performed before Loose Ends and when they finally came on stage, it was extremely late and "due to time restraints" they only performed 4 songs and 2 of those were remixes with some hype man I've never heard of. This was not a Loose Ends concert, they just basically did an "appearance" at somebody else's concert.

The show was pretty good. The opening acts were just okay. Confunkshun took the stage and gave us a high-energy funkfest that had people on their feet. It was like the concerts back-in-the-day. They ruled!!! Loose Ends was okay, but I was a little let down because they didn't have the energy that Confunkshun had. Confunction should've been the headliner.

Great show!! The opening acts. Jazz we're outstanding. Loose Ends was good as the headliner but ConFunkshun absolutely killed!! They left the stage HOT for Loose Ends. You just don't see or hear great musicians nowadays so it was an absolutely fantastic show and experience. Loved the venue. Ample parking, easy to access and egress, and you can bring a picnic basket. I would definitely go back!!

LiveSince1975
I will preface by saying that I have been attending live concerts since 1975. I still see about 50 live concerts a year nationally but most of them in Atlanta. Now that I have that out of the way... I feel that the local opening acts were given a little too much time, roughly 40 minutes apiece. They both did a great job but their time cut into that of the the senior international acts that have a combined 75 plus years of performing. Con Funk Shun and Loose Ends had to cut their sets short without playing most of their hit songs. They did an outstanding job, as I've seen both of them multiple times, but it is always painful when they have to cut their set because of time. The DJ in between acts was not that great and his sound was HORRIBLE. It sounded as if he had a microphone amplifying the music from his laptop. I was sitting in the 5th row of the center terrace so I was in the prime spot for audio and sight picture. I do feel that the venue was very mature and pleasant as you could come and go as you please. The food vendor prices and selection were affordable and the stage lighting was very commendable. All of the ushers were very friendly and welcoming. Parking was FREE but I would suggest having someone, police or parking attendants, direct traffic on the way out. All in all I would definitely go back to attend future concerts.

The venue was perfect...intimate, cozy and great value for the price. The catfish dinner and the chicken and waffles were excellent. Expect to pay around $30 for an entree and about $14 for an appetizer but you can't complain. It is better than the overpriced tickets for nose bleed seating. What's next Jill Scott (I wish). Lol

Signs on table stating "$10 minimum purchase", so You were practically forced to buy something. It was setup like a dinner-theatre(tables with chairs, about eight people per table). The show started about twenty minutes late and the band said they had limited time because the theater booked a different act after them. The show lasted about one hour. One of their albums is about that long, so We did not get to hear alot of their music.

From beginning to end the energy was flying off of Howard's walls. Jane STILL sounds amazing like time stood still for her. Jeffrey the lead guy, if you closed your eyes, you'd thought he was one of the original group members. Background singers could have their own show! All of them brought it and more. The band was on point. Kudos to the members who rep'd DC!! I just added them to my list of faves to see when they are in the DMV!!

Let me first say that I LOVE Loose Ends music, but found myself a little disappointed in their performance! Not sure if they had a scheduled set list but, things just seemed a tad bid unrehearsed as if they were just winging it! I will say that I was GLAD to see Two of the original members, (especially Jane) but was disappointed that Carl Macintosh was not part of the unit! There were a couple of songs I would've loved to hear such as "Choose Me" or "Dont Be a Fool" which they didn't do! Nevertheless, I was glad to FINALLY have seen them live after all these years, but would've appreciated a more organized set list and show!

Loose Ends was hanging on a string. I believe at some point, Jane Eugene, the lead singer lost her voice because she stopped singing. The background singers & a lady in the audience sang. The 'new' band didn't know a lot of the music. The great thing was I saw Loose Ends, the original/real band, in 1989 at Constitution Hall. This show brought back memories of that time. I was with 2 good friends & we had a good time singing the old songs & remembering the ones they didn't perform, I think they need more practice before touring again.
