My sister and I love Ron Pope and wanted to see him at Music Midtown a few years back when he was performing. Due to our group of friends and other drama in general we didn't make it in time to see him. I told my sister, that's okay we will get to see Ron Pope at some future time and who knows even at a smaller venue (which I always prefer to festivals)... sure enough our wish came true and we got to see Ron Pope at the very beautiful and intimate Buckhead Theatre. Ron and all the musicians put on an amazing show and the talent in the room was phenomenal. The night was solidified as one of my favorite nights of all time after Ron performed my sisters favorite, followed directly by favorite song! I know he doesn't know my sister and I personally, but in that moment I felt extremely happy and couldn't have asked for a more perfect first time experience with seeing Ron Pope live.

I absolutely loved the show. Ron came out and introduced the openers and while they weren't Ron Pope they were interesting. Then Ron came out and he just kept going. He sang all the new songs and lots of the old. He was incredibly personable and joked with the audience. It was so awesome to see him live and he wasn't distant at all he talked and acted like we were a thousand friends. My now fiancée also proposed during his setlist so I may be a little biased haha.

I'm not even sure which part of this night was the best. Glad I purchased the meet and greet tickets. I brought along some pictures I took of him back in 2012...and when I gave them to him he told me that my work was really good. ^_^ Continuing on....VON GREY and FRANCES CONE are being added to my list of favorite artist. Then, the man of the hour, Ron Pope began his set. His set included old song, new song, and a special acoustic song, due to a broken guitar. He asked everyone to be quite and played "perfect for me". It connected the audience and artist in ways that only a live show can do. Can not wait for the next time Ron Pope is on tour.

The venue was totally wrong for this concert. It was far too large with no seating. The room felt really empty and the music is not the type that really requires a lot of dancing space. That being said Ron Pope was great and Von Grey was a great opening act. It seemed that the lead singer of Francis Cone was high.

Ron Pope was amazing! I love the soul in his voice. He interacted with the crowd and gave us just what we would expect in this small venue. I would have paid more for a VIP experience. I loved everything he did. I just wish my favorite song "Reason to Hope" was part of the set list. Can not wait for the next show

The venue - Great - intimate (capacity 300), with bar and limited wall seating. Everyone there was able to get at least 15 feet from the stage - most were even closer. Probably only 100 or so in attendance. Opener - Zach Berkman, co-writer of A Drop in the Ocean and former The District band mate of Ron Pope's opened with an acoustic set of five songs. He sounded great and interacted with the crowd well. Main act - The set was comprised of a good balance of his new songs from Calling Off the Dogs and older beloved hits. Most of the new stuff was played first, which made it a little bit of a slow start. He was vibrant, and 100% enthusiastic in his music, as was the band (the lead guitarist had a great solo in there that rocked it). Ron talked with the crowd really well and it felt like a bunch of old friends hanging out. His voice was fantastic...seriously - even better than anything you hear in his recordings. He played the guitar or keyboard almost the entire concert. Dislikes - None relatable to the act. There were just a few things about the event that were bothersome. First, there were a lot of sports games going on in the city that night, and some were televised by the venue. There were a few pockets of people really into the games that created some distractions. Second, this was NOT a 21 and over event, despite being held in a bar....there were A LOT of underage girls there. They all got there early and ran straight to the stage the second they got in...basically there were 50 15 year old girls hogging the best spots in the house #they waited there for like 2.5 hours even before the main act got on stage). They were well behaved...but it was a little annoying. All in all...RON POPE WAS AWESOME! I'm so glad I got to see him!!!!

I came to this show expecting to wait around until Ron pope's set- but Alexis opened strong and truly blew me away with her voice. It was a pleasant surprise. The crowd was good and Ron and Alexis seemed to genuinely care about their fans and that is always appreciated. Pope played all four of my favorite of his songs (Fireflies, in my bones, the reason I come home and A drop in the ocean) it was a memorable experience and I will definitely be at his next show. I also purchased Alexis's CD for 5 bucks and that was well worth it, I wish her the best of luck in her endeavors.

Over the years I've probably been to several dozen shows of various kinds at the Masquerade, and this was by far the oddest mix of performers I've ever seen there. The opening act (Alexis Keegan) was the most bland, uncharismatic singer I've ever seen live. She was completely unoriginal and seemed almost manic in her need to be loved by the crowd. The middle act (I can't even remember their name) was a group of perfectly satisfactory musicians, but I couldn't understand a word of what they were singing and the feeling that I got was that they were used to playing for friends and family and not the public. Ron Pope put on a really good performance, and it would've been enjoyable if not for the group of drunk young women directly behind me and my fiancé. The entire time Ron Pope was on stage these women were SCREAMING (not singing by anyone's definition) along with return song. While this is not the fault of the venue or the performer, it was a small venue and everyone else saw and heard how these women overpowered what was coming from the stage. In previous concerts that I've been to with similarly annoying people the artist on stage has called them out on their behavior and asked them to let everyone else enjoy the show too. Ron Pope only encouraged them and made them get louder.

As much as we love Ron Pope and can't stop listening to his music we were extremely disappointed about the concert. We purchased out tickets months in advance and were greatly looking forward to seeing Ron live. However we were very disappointed that when the concert started at 7:00 we had to STAND and WAIT for over three hours to only listen to the opening acts. After 10:00 rolled around we waited for a while then finally left. It was rude and misleading. I've been to a lot of concerts and have never had to wait that long for the headliner to start. We had to go home so the baby sister would leave because we feared the concert would end to late.

I don't think you could've gotten a better performer. He definitely used what he had in that small venue and made it personal. He sounded even better than his record, and he interacted with the audience a lot. I will definitely see him again in the future.

First time to see Ron Pope and at this venue and it was better then i expected. The venue is really chill and laid back. Smaller with bars upstairs and downstairs, a few small tables with chairs upstairs also with some couches in the back. Ron Pope and the artists before him were fantastic! He played alot of his newer stuff but still did a few oldies at the end. Also the bar next door was not a bad place to hang out afterwards with some craft beers.

Ron Pope was very selfish during his concert last friday night at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC. He played only his new songs that no one knew or recognized. Every so often he would play one or two old songs, but the majority of the time we were all just disappointed by him. It was bad and I wouldn't go again. It was like going to a promotion of his new CD, which we didn't like at all. So bad.

RON POPE PLAYED MOST OF HIS NEW SONGS FROM HIS NEW ALBUM WHICH WAS JUST RELEASED A WEEK PRIOR. EVERYONE WAS COMPLAINING WE WANTED TO HEAR HIS OLD STUFF. WHICH ISNT THAT OLD BECAUSE HE HAS RELEASED TONS OF NEW ALBUMS THIS YEAR. HE NEEDS TO STICK WITH ONE ALBUM FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME.

Old familiar favorites were combined with several new songs from their just released album. Hard to categorize this band as it goes from rock to folk to country. But this talented group of musicians can handle it all and make it their own. Just go.

The Bowery ballroom was perfect to start off. Finding parking wasn't awful and the subway was right outside the venue! The venue itself is on the smaller side, making for a more personal show. The set up of the place is great, having the larger bar, bathrooms, and the coat check downstairs and the stage upstairs, with a third floor holding a few tables and chairs for those who prefer to sit. That being said, we arrived a little late and decided to grab a bite next door (great place). When we came back it was early, yet Ron Pope was setting up to go on! His performance was fantastic! It's one of those that gives you faith in musical artists again. He sounds just as good as he does in his songs, in fact, with a roughness to his actual voice, he sounds better. I couldn't have imagined a better show... That is until it was over and one of the bouncers asked my friend and I if we wanted a meet and greet. Without thinking twice we graciously accepted! Being brought back upstairs to the ballroom, Ron announced someone wished he would've sang a song and we were brought into the hallway where he sang "Perfect for Me" for about 12 of us. Again I was reminded, his voice.. insane! Afterwards we were lined up and Ron signed out tickets and took a picture with each of us. I couldn't have imagined a better night if I tried. I will definitely be back to the Bowery and most definitely be heading to any of Ron Pope's shows in the area.

This was a great concert at the Granada in Lawrence, KS. The opening band was super neat, and then Ron Pope came out and his band rocked it. The staff at Buckhead theater were great. The opening act, The Heart Of took my heart with his acoustic, soulful music. The harmonies of Ages to Ages had you moving around. Then Ron Pope. Man-he can take your emotions on a roller coaster ride. He s funny, energetic, and when he shares an acoustic set, I feel that deep in my soul. He mixes in old with the new, and hearing the whole crowd sing along is always fun. His talent always amazes me, switching instruments, his varied genre...I can t imagine him being here in ATL and not going to his show. Don t miss the next one.

I had never been to this venue and loved it! It is small and cozy. Opted for the preferred seating where you have a 3-person table to sit at and can order food and drinks. The two opening acts were fabulous and I really enjoyed them. Ron Pope was amazing! I never thought I would see him so close to home and it was a rocking show! The variety of instruments his band played was also impressive. I only wish he'd played a few more of his older, slower songs (Heartfelt Lies, Fireflies, etc.), since those are the ones that really turned me on to his music. The bottom line: This was a great experience. I will definitely be watching for more performances at this venue in the future - but will probably opt for ones on the weekend. Driving an hour and a half, each way, and getting home at 1am on a work night was a bit rough.

My daughter was first introduced to Ron Popes music a few years back. A boy had her listen to drop in the ocean. She fell in love instantly, and has been following Ron's music ever since. She was informed through Pandora radio that Ron was coming to town. I myself did not know many songs by him, but her being 14 I bought the tickets and brought her to the concert. It was amazing. From the theatre to the opening bands to of course Ron. His music is great. We had a wonderful time people watching and were amazed about the diversity of people who showed up. From my daughter to college kids to 60+ year olds he draws a great crowd. He has such a way with drawing the crowd in when he speaks to them. I loved the way he interacted with his band and the passion he had in playing his songs. I thought his 2 opening acts were great and thought they complimented him.

It was the best concert I have ever been to in a smaller venue. The two opening bands were awesome and you didn't even need to know them to enjoy their music. In fact I bought both their CDs. Ron Pope was amazing, personable, funny and the concert lasted so much longer than ones you pay hundreds of dollars for. Ed Sheeran in a big venue is the only other concert that can compare!!!

Show was great! Lasted three and a half hours with two intermissions. It was the first performance for this tour and a special show since he is from Atlanta area. He played some new songs which are faster paced with more instruments and percussion overall. He also performed some of his older hits: "Drop in the Ocean," "Fireflies," "You're the Reason I Come Home," etc.
