Came up for the game from Seattle. The roof was open at BC Place, which was my first time experiencing the roof open. Was really nice. Great seats and somewhat entertaining game. Had to take draught beer back on 2 occasions because it tasted "funky", but the vendors were more than helpful in returning.

We were visiting from So. California and had a great time. Great to walk in the beautiful stadium and have general admission for a great price next to dj. Party hats were a hit. Everybody that worked there was very accommodating and friendly. Met new friends sitting next to us. My only complaint was during half time I bought a ice tea and it was warm. When I brought it to the attention to the cashier he gave me two cups with ice. Great game. Glad we went!!

The game was intense, close and exciting. Long time BC Lions fan but as I live on the Island only get over to a game twice a year. Well worth the trip, however I do think the tickets are way over-priced and you would get bigger crowds if you made them more price competitive. We sat in the upper bowl for $80 each which is a bit much. Why does Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Regina get bigger crowds than Vancouver which is a considerably bigger city than any of those mentioned? Could it be the ticket prices? It's not the NFL or NHL or Major League baseball or the NBA. It's roughly equivalent to the American Hockey League in Caliber and should be better priced. Wouldn't you sooner see 40,000 a game? Anyway that's my two bits worth and the uniforms were great if not hard to see the numbers.

The Lions make the fan experience fun. Great tributes to Wally! Something always happening. 50/50 done very well. My son made it on to the Big screen- dancing- 40" tall! Sunny day- roof open-Lions maul Rough Riders. Does it get any better than that!

Our seats were terrible for the price we paid. They were tucked under the top level and we could not see daylight or the jumbo screen. The air movement was very bad. Warm.

Game was great , My BIG complaint is there stop serving beer before the 3 quarter has ended , I Could go to a sports bar and watch the game and drink beer until the end of the game for the price of a ticket , keep the beer available until at least 10 min before the game ends !!!!!

Of course, I want the Lions to win. But, it's not as entertaining when it's a blowout. This game was definitely not a blowout. It was a solid win, but there were several occasions where the end score could have gone the other way. The new stadium is fabulous, of course. I'll have to admit that I'm not a fan of the exterior appearance with all the masts and cables. Inside is very nice. I suppose it's good that the revolving doors are gone, but at the end of games they used to open the main doors so you could get blown out of the stadium. That was kind of fun. I wasn't at the opening night game with all the vending problems. It looks like those are pretty much fixed. My only vending complaint was that the beer was warm. Since they're using standard taps, they have to prepare a lot of beers ahead, in order to keep up when the halftime crunch happens. Dudes, buy some of the Bottoms-Up dispensers so we can get a freshly poured, cold beer. Having said that, however, I DO appreciate that the bartender topped up my beer before handing it to me. The potato fries that come with chicken fingers are excellent. Those are some of the best fries I've ever eaten.

American football and Canadian football has just enough difference to make it really interesting. The BC Place is a fantastic venue, the people were really, REALLY, nice. Concessions excellent...overall loved going to the game and enjoyed Vancouver as a bonus!

Game was good entertainment. But cost of tickets at $90 per ticket too high for good value. Way too many interruptions both commercial and fan appreciation events which slowed the game. I do not want to pay $90 to watch a fan roll around the inflatable ball etc.

Very glad I used the self printed ticket and avoided the will call which was far too long and slow. A big walk up needs more staff. Also ate before the game and did not get into the food and beverage lines which were far too long and slow. This better get fixed or a lot of fans will be turned off and money lost!

If there is one thing that needs to be done inside this football club is for the Offensive Coach to be FIRED immediately. He has no vision; he is apparantly fixated on 1 or 2 receivers; always a long-bomb with no build-up. He wouldn't even be considered to coach a high school team. Why Wally protects him only demonstrates the inability of our Head Coach to face reality - just as he did when the midget Dickenson took over and lost the grey cup game for us here in Vancouver.

I drove from Vernon with my 11 year old son and one of his minor football teamates and we had a blast. Although they are both Rider fans they and I had a great time and enjoyed the atmosphere put on by the Lions and had a lot of fun with the bantering that went on between the Riders "13th man" and Lion country fans. Even better, ticketmaster made the whole thing easy, even when I made an error on the order they resolved it instantaneously, got me our tickets and we had a great day. Thank you Lions and ticketmaster, hope to see you both at the Grey Cup next year!!

We dropped off our four kids at Playland then went to the Lions vs Stampeders game for some R&R! (laugh) The actual game was pretty boring and of course a disappointing BC loss, BUT the Fans were great!! Everyone was singing and making hugs fan 'waves' and the party atmosphere was catchy!! The fans started a 'fan wave' & it gained big momentum, but there was one section of the stadium, where the fans didn't participate for some reason. This went on for about ten minutes. After about the fourth wave, our section noticed that the other fans weren't participating; even Cheerleaders were sitting on the grass, and so the fans started booing! The cheerleaders in our section were enthusiastic and everyone was catching the wave! But the next time around everyone started chanting "The other side sucks" since they didn't join the wave! It was hilarious. 10 000 fans chanting and booing the other fans! What a game!!

I took my 3 grandsons to their first CFL game and it was a big mistake. Some fans near by obviously had had too much to drink and continued to do so throughout the entire game. THey were still getting beer well into the 3rd quarter and we decided to leave so really can't say what transpired in the 4th quarter. The language and obsenities observed by 3 youngsters 12 and under was totally unexpected and I will ensure they are never again exposed to the going ons at Empire Field. Really too bad as a well planned outing was spoiled for all.

Empire Field itself is just a gorgeous location. Watching the sun set over the North Shore mountains on a sunny July evening while watching a football game just can't be beat. Several things detracted from the experience, however. First, the seats in the end zones are bleachers, not seats, and our butts were pretty sore by the end of the first half. Second, I was unable to spend $8 on a cup of beer due to the 40-minute lineups; I spent $40 on my ticket and $25 on parking to watch a football game, not stand behind the stadium in a lineup for a quarter and a half! And third, the game was just plain boring. I think the Lions gained more yards in penalties than they did through the air and the Als were just as awful. Still, the setting is just spectacular and the atmosphere was fantastic. I probably won't go to another game there but I recommend trying it just once just to see what it's like to watch an outdoor football game set in the best scenery in Canada! Oh, and parking was plentiful 15 minutes before kickoff, as long as you're willing to shell out $25.

As a faithful Saskatchewan Roughrider fan, besides the absolutely gorgeous weather, how could you not enjoy the football game on Saturday night. B.C. did it's best to rush the Saskatchewan quarterback a lot, but somehow the Riders were able to maintain the momentum throughout the game. The Lions' biggest play was well into the fourth quarter, when many Lions' fans had already gone home . . . what a shame! Go, Riders!

The Riders played well and with confidence. They owned our field last night. The Lions will need more practice. The venue was fun. Add more condiments tables and the food line-ups will be better. Delays of play for TV or whatever were annoying. Liked the Lions Opener towels. I wish there was more to wave about. We used Translink from and to the North Shore. It was excellent in all respects. During the Game a young pregnant woman had medical difficulty in our section. The initial response from nearby on-field St. John's and security personnel seemed delayed and disinterested; despite a huge number of fans calling "medic" or "first aid" to them in their line of sight, and the obvious indications there was commotion in the area. Procedures should be reviewed for possible inprovements in procedures for medical emergencies or to confirm to the crowd from the field that help is on the way. Not sure what happened to the timer late in the Game, but the referee had to intercede to adjust the time on many occasions, and this too didn't seem like "game ready" performance.

I usually go to 3-5 NFL home games every year and I just wanted to see what a CFL game would be like while on vacation. It was fun for the family and I. Definitely not as crowded, intense, or loud as a NFL game, but it was a good experience. It reminded me more of an Arena football league. I would recommend everyone to check out a game.

This time we decided to try the Club Orange area hoping to have a more exciting and interesting time. WE DIDN"T. All you get is a table other than that everything in poor. There is no food service and all the drinks are 20-30% more expensive than in the rest of BC Place. So you pay $12 more per seat and then have to pay more for you drinks and then have to go down to level 2 to get your food. Also it is supposed to be general seating but when we got there all the seating in the stands was reserved for people and groups that never showed up we were lucky to grab a table but if we didn't we would have been standing for the game. I found it really disappointing as a fan to try this space. the club area was mostly empty and now I know why. it is way better to by cheaper tickets and sit in the stands.

The games at BC Place have been ruined by the officials who appear to believe the game is about them. There have been close to 60 penalties called in the two games and both games have been decided by penalties.

The breaks in the game that ilayer learned were for commercials ruined the game. It was bad enough that our friends left after a quarter and we left at half time. It was sad how many people were leaving.

I couldn't have been less impressed. I had gone to the Saskatchewan and bc lions game and it was amazing! Which had been a guaranteed win, the tickets for this game were promised as equal value. They were not. Went from great seats in the Budweiser zone( at the Saskatchewan game) to nosebleeds. Definetly not the same value. I had even purchased the tickets the moment they became availbe for the Calgary game. The zone we had had before wasn't even given as an option. Just pure disappointment.

Absolutely boring, Every fourth play a TV timeout or an official conference or some other delay in action. The game took 3 hours and five minutes to complete. Anytime there is any momentum it is stopped by the delays. The Lions offence is too conservative. It wasn't too long ago that a grey cup game would only take 2 and a half hours to play and this with an extended half time program. The same reaction to last years game with Sask and other games are even worse.

While not the most exciting individual game of the season, the BC Lions are still a great entertainment choice. Nothing better than sitting in stadium on a sunny afternoon listening to the crowd roar and watching some usually exciting football. One suggestion to the stadium staff - you have got to make the concession lines move faster. It shouldn't take the entire of half-time + into the 3rd quarter to get a beer and a hotdog (especially over-priced ones). We will definitely be back in any case.

When neither the Seahwaks or Canucks were playing while we were in Seattle and Vancouver, respectively, we substituted a B C Lions CFL game and had a wonderful time - great clean, modern domed stadium in nice location that allowed us to pregame at Rodney's Oyster House and postgame at Edgewater Casino, and got a bonus of a very entertaining game that ending with a Lions victory.
