We had a great time and my son absolutely loved it. It would've been pretty cool if the characters stayed around to do a meet and greet with children, but overall it was great!

After seeing 'Spiderman' on Broadway I didn't think it could get worse. I was wrong. I should have expected that 'Batman Live' was geared for 4 - 10 year old boys. That might have been okay if the production was decent. Not so. Cross a Jr. High play rehearsal with a low budget circus; throw in a cheap magic show and dancing numbers performed by Rockette rejects; shove them all in a Batman costume and you have 'Batman Live'. Parents, your kids will love it. But you will suffer for that love. The acting is wooden (was Batman a marionette?), the fight scenes goofy and uncoordinated, and the story.... there was no story. This was torture that I paid $80 to receive. I would rather watch Joel Schumacher's 'Batman and Robin' which, until today, was the lowest dregs of the Batman franchise. Congrats 'Batman Live'! You suck even more than that. Not to be unfair, there were a few bright spots that merit at least 2-stars. The video backdrop was superb. I loved the comic feel of the videos and how they seamlessly enhanced the stage. The Joker and Harley Quinn were excellent. But they were so good they made everyone else come across like a cardboard cut out. But then the real surprise. The final scene in Arkham Asylum is filled with chains (Floor to ceiling) filled with hanging bodies in burlap sacks. A genuinely terrifying turn. After Batman is gassed by a spooky 15-ft Scarecrow, Joker appears with a psychotic speech about how he is going to murder Batman. Then the real magic happened. Half of the kids in the auditorium burst into tears. Parents hid their eyes. Other tried to prevent there kids from jumping into their lap. "I DONT WANT BATMAN TO DIE!" was heard from every corner of the auditorium. It was hysterical. Who could have expected such a dark and delightful turn? What were the writers thinking? Milk and cookies then all of the sudden dark rum and cigarettes. In the meantime, as a comic book fan, I still hold out hope for a future superhero Broadway production that is decent.

This was a great stage show, reminiscent of the old stunt shows at amusement parks. The best way to describe it is a circus show of Batman. The combination of digital effects, choreography, lighting, and props was amazing. The way the scenes transitioned like a comic book was a great way to relate the material to its source.

The show was fantastic, wonderful acrobatics and great costuming. Comic book accurate with an additional twist. Only negative is they have Batman jumping around in a early scene with Catwoman as if he were Superman. But after that, pure gold. Worth watching.

The show was very well done, with a mix of old school comics and today's high technology. Story line was close to the comic book story line. I would recommend this show to anyone, for all ages.

Batman delivered on expectations. As an older batman fan I think the show was a mix of the 90's batman movies, and the animated series. I was a little disappointed the the show was only two acts, but it was still fulfilling. Kids will love this show. It is a great reason to dress up as your favorite batman hero or villain and have a good time. (of any age really) Story was not as deep and dark as I would have hoped. The giant bat screen on the stage was awesome, and made the story feel like you were watching it on the big screen. Recommended to all Batman fans.

I have been a fan of Batman since growing up. I am in my mid 20's and did not enjoy watching the live show. I recommend for kids only and not for the adult fans. Batman Live was directed for the kiddy audience. Costumes and performers were professional, but the show did not interest me one bit. I enjoy reading a comic issue more than attending the live show. The story line was weak. The Lion King musical was outstanding, but Batman Live was poor.

We were on our way to a much anticipated evening when being T-boned with in blocks of the event. Thankfully we went early, ended up walking in just at the music began. There was NOTHING in the entire program that let me down! There are no bad seats. There is something constantly going on from the acting, the acrobats, the music, special effect & stunts!! I found myself wanting to replay several scenes just to watch how amazing they were! Don't blink! You'll miss something!! It's a MUST SEE event!!

Very high hopes for an event with exciting thrills and stunts, came across flat and campy. The show would have been more enjoyable at 1/2 the ticket price. I guess we had to pay the rent since the venue could not sell seats well based on the empty seats.

I was very skeptical about taking my nephews to see this show for fear it may be a bit over thier heads but they had a blast. I went to the show not expecting much, but even before it got started, you can see everyone was there to have fun. Either watching the show or the people who dressed up as comic characters. The show itself was well done. Music, Lights and Stage were excellent. The plot was simple but included the whole story line. I recommend it if you have young kids you want to impress.

I took my eleven year old son to see this. We had high hopes. We both left fairly disappointed. The acrobatics are nice, but nowhere near Cirque de Solei. The fight scenes are slow moving and it's clear that the punches miss by over a foot even in the nosebleed seats. Batman's costume seem so bulky and muscled up that I'm surprised he was even able to move. The Bat-mobile was the highlight for us. We thought that looked pretty cool and the we enjoyed the Scarecrow and the Joker. If you have children ages 9 and under, they will probably enjoy it. Anything older than that will probably not.

I wasn't sure if this was going to be appropriate for my 9 year old son when I bought the tickets. It was advertised as 'family fun'. It was incredible, the background was an interactive screen that was a cartoon mimicking the old batman comics. Acrobatics gave this a Cirque du Soleil feel. Excellent acting too. There was no singing, which you usually hear at least a little bit in every live theatre event. I would go again in a heart beat. There are portions that make you feel like your in the middle of the scene they are portraying. We sat in floor seats, 4th row back. I would spend the extra money for these better seats, because so much of the show is directly above you, it was fun to look up and see cat woman sliding down a rope head first towards you. Very cool! My son thanked me profusely all evening long! As for the violence level, it was very low, fight scenes were very fake looking (on purpose) hitting each other at least a foot away from actually touching one another, much like the old comics. Boom! Pow!

The kids enjoyed the show. I, myself, wasn't crazy about it. The show itself was actually visually stimulating and entertaining. The arena was nice and new. However, the seats of the arena were literally only 1/3 full (or maybe less). The audience area did not go dark enough during the show, so this was extremely distracting to the show itself. Because it was so empty, people in the audience were talking and acting like they were sitting through a dress rehearsal. Imagine being at a concert where no one cheered for the band. It just brought the energy of the room down completely. Even the cheapest tickets still cost over $200 for a family of 4. If they had offered some $25 or $30 tickets, they probably would have filled the arena and made this a much more enjoyable experience for everyone. The actors were all talented and the props and set were cool. They used a large screen in the background to provide very cool and original graphics for the scenes. It really made you feel as if you were in a Batman comic book. The graphics and the villains were definitely the highlight of the show. It focused much more on Robin than Batman.

My wife and I took our 12 yr old son to see Batman Live on 9/29. My son has always been fascinated by Batman. The costumes, stage set and audio were great from start to end. Almost all the characters were there: Joker, Riddler, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Penguin, etc... The costumes were vibrant and the story line was kept true to Batman as well. I would definitely recommend seeing this production whether you're 12 like my son or an adult. My wife and I enjoyed it as much as he did. We're both just "big kids" anyway. After seeing the touring "Walking With The Dinosaurs" I had high hopes for Batman Live. The show really felt like a throw back to the 70s TV show in the way it presented the story. I guess I was hoping it would be a more impressive presentation. If you have kids, it's very family friendly. Not too scary. Both Batman's and Robin's parents "die" in the story, as everyone knows, but it's handled in a relatively tame way. The screen they used for the background had some great graphics and added quite nicely to the story's illusion. The guy who played the Joker was great as well. I recommend you don't sit in seats on a level floor like we did. Makes viewing the show difficult.

Awesome show. I got front row seats and I was not disappointed. There is something for everyone in this play, There is pyrotechnics, acrobatics, a whole cast of villains for batman to defeat. In a word, awesome. The batmobile has been upgraded. This is very reminiscent of the old batman comic book series. They even play video in the background for a 3d immersive effect. You have to see it. And if you sit on the floor and on the sides, you will be pelted with confetti. I was in the front and didn't get covered.

I thought the performance was great but definitely geared more toward ages 5 and up. There were a lot of small (under 4) children there and I don't think that it kept their interest. I loved the show! The actors were very well cast. Harley Quinn was PERFECT for the role as were the Joker and the Riddler. Stage effects were great and the script was actually very accurate. The noon show wasn't full which was good but I wish it were more packed like the night shows. The crowd really makes a difference. All in all, a must see!

All in all, this was an excellent stage production of the Batman story. Don't expect something that compares to a Hi Def movie. Take it for what it is and you and your kids will be amazed. We went with a large group and had a great time.

This show is a family friendly night out with a couple of "wow" moments. We went as a date night, but I would recommend more as a family night.

I will have to say we were completely disappointed by this show. Way over priced. My husband fell asleep during the show. And my children were not impressed. I feel that there was not enough advertising about the show. Sad for the performers that there was not a full house.

I was shocked at how few people were in the arena. I would say less than 7000. The show started off pretty slow, but picked up significantly after the intermission. The bat-mobile left something to be desired. When it was driving through the city it reminded me of how i played with my hotwheels when i was 5. The final battle was unfulfilling as all of the criminals who "teamed up" weren't there to fight! The led screen was pretty awesome, but that was about it. The acting was not very good and at one point Bruce Wayne straight up tells Dick Grayson that he's batman and that was kind of a shocker. I can see why this would be really exciting in the UK because they don't really know what's supposed to go on with Batman. Here in America, we expect better.

I was surprised at how kids and adults were entertained. The show was not too dark for kids, but definitely interesting and funny to adults as well!

I took my son and daughter. They both enjoyed it so much. As did I. I went not expecting much. Boy was I wrong. The stage, back drop, costumes, and acrobatics were amazing! Something for everyone at every age.
