J Boog

J BOOG IN CONCERT:Hawaii-based reggae rocker J Boog brings the carefree island vibes every time he takes the stage to perform his tropical jams. At his shows Boog and his backing group The Hot Rain Band kick out a sweltering downpour of catchy melodies, funky basslines, and dub riddims that always gets ticket buyers moving their feet. Boog can rap and sing with the best of them, and his larger-than-life personality and infectious on-stage dancing make every show feel like the party of a lifetime. As the group performs upbeat numbers like "Sunshine Girl" and "Let's Do It Again", ticket buyers are transported to an island paradise where getting your groove on is the only thing that matters.

J Boog's show at Culture Room was one of the best I've ever been to, if not THE best. When we pulled up I was a little unsure about the venue because its located in a strip mall, but once we were inside I really enjoyed the set-up -- Culture Room is half outside, with a courtyard and bar, and half inside where the stage is. J Boog's performance was top notch -- he sang all of his hits and the crowd was loving it. The Hot Rain Band who was backing him also killed it. After the show J Boog did a surprise meet and greet in the courtyard where he signed autographs and took pictures with fans. Super chill guy. It was the perfect end to the evening.

Had such a good time watching JBoog live. Common Sense was ok but I wasn't familiar with their songs so no problem. It was obvious everyone was there to watch JBoog. The crowd was great and sang along with most of the songs!

J Boog played great songs and was a blast. So much fun! He's a great performer. Venue wasn't my favorite. I paid money for a seat, but the concert could be heard/seen from the outside area. Besides supporting J Boog, it was pointless to purchase tickets. Would've been better if The Hanger was closed off for those who purchased tickets. I liked that it was a small personal venue, but again pointless because everyone in area could watch a free show.

Venue was cool. At the OC Fair, back open to passer bys with two huge screens to see the concert up close. The sound was great!! The only gripe I had was the main floor seating. It felt like sitting in assembly in grade school. Other than that, the show was great!! J Boog was awesome. It would have been perfect to see him perform at the Pacific Amphitheater instead. Common Sense was good too!!

Growing up listening to Bob Marley, B. Levy, Wailers taught us how to appreciate an ever growing music that comfort and soothes our soul. Humbling, respectful, and gratifying. The explosion of the "Island reggae" added with a Poly flavor...whoa! It's amazing what my ears are hearing these days. With that said, J-Boog you are really doing it. Something bigger than life itself. It's the music. All day, and every day forever bumping that in my ride or chilling at the crib. Keep up the good work ucce! Rep them Poly's and make us proud. Show was amazing. Jboog was phenomenal. I bought tickets for me & my Chamorro love... he fully enjoyed every bit of it as did I. Venue was great with a nice intimate setting to start off with.. add the amazing island reggae & you could just feel the good vibrations all around.

Always a good time at HOB. My favorite live music venue. Hot Rain opened up & was really good. Common Kings was awesome, doing their hits & even some Michael Jackson classics with a reggae twist. J Boog is always good & he didn't disappoint. His set was great & his encore was real good too. Thank you HOB Sunset!

Great music!Very talented artist with a great reggae band! Wrong place-wrong time however. Badly organized casino resort business slump filler snow storm Wednesday night show. There were about 50 people at the most attending in a cold and empty night club.The show was listed to start at 9PM.It started at 10.20PM.

Nice to see islander music at the House of Blues.... Sunday night but still a great time. Big fan of J Boog's music. Opening act by Elan Atias & the White Elephant band was good. My friends & I liked them... As always, the sound at HOB was great. Staff was friendly.... J Boog please come back to the HOB... The concert was really good. Kinda random when Wilmer Valderama introduced J Boog to the crowd saying he just left the Golden Globes to see the show. Haha... Then he joined him during the encore of Let's Do It Again.... At least he's a fan!!! Great times.

House of Blues is always great to see a show at . There were 2 opening acts both from Kingston, Jamaica AWESOME !!! J Boog was good too , but the sound wasn t as crisp as the opening acts ( Etana, & Jesse Royale) for the price ~ it was a Great night out ! Highly Recommended

Live band music with most of his hits, great backup vocalists (even the female vocalist who appeared sick), and concert light effects. The flashing LED lights were the type to give me a seizure, though. The only thing I wished for was more freestyle from J Boog, or that he and the band could riff more. The set was good, but felt manicured and like a package set they could do in any location. But if you like J Boog, of course you'll love his concert

Saw him open before Slightly Stoopid on the Sounds of Summer 2017. I don't know if something was off with the sound check or not, but his vocals were very weak and me nor anyone I was with could understand what he was saying over the sound of the insturments. His band was very good though, but it still didn't make up for his vocals and kinda ruined the mood after The Movement had just finished with such a great set! J Boog and The Movement should have swaped spots and The Movement should have been given a longer set. I love the genre, but won't see J Boog again in the future.

After hearing one song on Pandora a year ago, we were HOOKED on J. Boog. We love his music, his vibe and watching him live solidified his true artistry. So glad we caught the show in Boston. Jo Mersa Marley and Jemere Morgan were added bonuses. Great night, incredible performances!!!
