The show was fabulous. Ethan has a great presence on stage and the audience loved him. The Celebration of Music portion of the show was incredible to be a part of. We had a fabulous evening with family and friends watching Ethan perform, and the winner of the Celebration of Music. I would see Ethan perform again.

Went to support the Youth Symphony -- they played a wonderful, "mix-it-up" play-list -- loved all of it. I was surprised, and very pleasantly, with Ethan Bortnick. Despite his youth he is a seasoned showman.

Ethan's show was wonderful! My eight year old son just loved every minute of the show. Ethan engaged the audience after every song he played, that was not an easy thing to do for a 10 year old. He kept everyone's attention and did so just perfect. We really enjoyed his Q&A that he offered to the audience in order to ask him questions such as: how he got to where he is at such a young age. My son hasn't stopped talking about Ethan's show. He tells me "Mom I am so glad you took me to see Ethan, he is so talented". Ethan's show is a must see for all ages!

I knew this was going to be good and I was NOT disappointed. Ethan Bortnick is truely amazing. He even had a Q & A session with people in the audience.....this would be daunting for an adult, but he breezed thru it with no problem at all with his quick wit. He is a true showman. His talent is unbelievable....He plays piano, he sings, he writes songs. And to think he is only 10!

Ethan Bortnick was fantastic. For a 10 year old to literally "run the show" for 2 hours is something that truly has to be seen. The kid is clearly a prodigy. His performance runs the gamut from Mozart to Dean Martin to Billy Joel (and everything in between). Truly he is a pleasure! Gwinnett Performing Arts Center however was a major disappointment. You would think that a "performing arts center" could manage a proper sound check - but for the first 15 mins or so, there was terrible feedback (an audible hiss that could be heard OUTSIDE the auditorium) AND the bass was over-miked, so it blurred the sound. Also the sound was not balanced so whenever the backup musicians played, it drowned out both Ethan and the choir that came up to join him for a couple of songs. Again - Ethan was fantastic, but I would score the venue as poor

This sweet little boy has amazing talent and stage presence for a 10 year old. He plays everything from classical to pop tunes to jazz. Even some of his own compositions. He also improvised two pieces from random audience phone ringtones, in two different genres of music, no less! He handled audience Q&A like an adult - was interesting and polite, with such poise. He is truly remarkable. Should not be missed!! BRAVO! ETHAN!!

Very talented & very witty (an adults humor in a nine year olds body) Our group of 7 people (ranging from 7 years old to 59) all loved the show and we were astounded by this young mans' talent, wit & caring for others -- we would recommend his show to anyone who enjoys music & cares for children! An A+++

Was surprised that there were only a few people there for such a great entertainer. Did not like the Aladdin theater as everything was old and no parking. The bathroom was upstairs which is not good for senior adults. They could have had Ethan at a small church or hall and it would have been much better. He is a great kid and hope he doesn't get burned out. We did buy his DVD which we watched and was great.

Ethan is just a fantastic talent. His piano talent is just as good as any adult pianist. And his singing voice was just amazing, initially I thought it was someone else, maybe a recording, I couldn't blieve it was Ethan. His M.C. skills was so entertaining, getting the audience involved. I was glad I was able to witness his talent in person.

An amazing little boy...great crowd interaction. The second half got a little long as he tried to include people from the audience....I think some adult help would be beneficial there. His talent as a performer was absolutely terrific.....almost as if an older person was inhabiting that 10 year old body. Three generations of my family attending this show and each of us enjoyed it immensely.

I saw 2 of his Live Shows! One was recent in PA!!! You can not believe what he does on stage!! He is an amazing Pianist!! BUT....... He is hilarious, Fun, inspiring and most of all a regular kid!! He took Questions from the audience in Both concerts (that was my favorite part). His answers were hilarious! :-) He played everything from Justin Bieber to Mozart to Beatles to Bill Evans.. It was Crazy!!! Then he sang some songs, which was sooooo sweet! He changed Outfits! - Loved the Good Golly Jacket - It blinded the folks in the front row, so he gave them sunglasses :-) So funny! He then had everyone dancing in the aisles for "I will Survive". Then he had all the kids singing along with him "We are the world" - Which he was recently a part of.. That was so Sweet!!!! Then he did this thing where he picked someone from the audience and asked them to turn on there cell phone ringtone.. He took the ringtone and created an entire Composition! I felt like Mozart was re-born.. It was a true masterpiece.. Anyway, I could go on and on, but all I know is that I am going to a few more concerts, because I am sure his ticket prices will go up next year!!! This is one not to be missed by Kids, Teenagers, Adults, and Granfolks!!!! WOW!

So we became interested in Ethan from the endless PBS showings of his concerts and the hype surrounding his talents which I don't question but to see him in a venue such as Detroit Music hall and not have an orchestra to back him up was very disappointing it actually made it seem like we were in a high school gym a very forgetable perfromance, sorry Ethan!

I have wanted to see Ethan Bortnick since he was 8. Unfortunately, this was the first time I could attend his performance. He is now 16. The show was entertaining but it seems he had not altered his program since he was 8. It was great show for younger kids or audience who have followed him since he was young. Now that he is older, I think he needs to alter his program to attract bigger audience. Overall, it was enjoyable... like attending a piano bar. I am glad I got the Ethan Bortnik bug out of my system.

Apparently, I didn't read the fine print before I bought tickets to this concert. I couldn't make it to the show myself, but I sent four family members to the show with the expectation that the concert would be a MUCH larger production than it turned out to be. My family members enjoyed the show, but I'll have to admit that I was a bit crestfallen when I discovered my mistake. I'm still not sure if I was duped or if I was just not paying close enough attention to what I was purchasing. The redeaming thought I'm left with is that it was all for a good cause if it helps The Joy Of Music School accomplish their goals.

Ethan Bortnick isn't just an incredible talent on the piano, he has an overall stage presence that is so engaging and genuine. His voice is a well developed instrument as well. Ethan's performance was so entertaining, if you have the opportunity to go see him, you must go! Ethan received a standing ovation, and, to the crowds cheers, came back to the stage for an encore song! How great is that? (he's 14 years old!) His ability to play so well with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra was unforgettable, and his "band"-guitar, bass, keyboard and drums-are really great in their own right as well. But watching Ethan play solo is truly inspiring!

Ethan Bortnick's performance was one of the most enjoyable events that I've been to lately. A young man with amazing talent. He can be listed with the best piano players. Not only does he play the piano but he also sings and writes some of the songs he plays. He has a wonderful future ahead of him. One day I think he'll be a household name. I saw him on the Oprah show several years ago and thought he was good. Today, he is magnificent. Don't miss his show "The Power of Music". It was fun the whole night with people clapping, singing and a few people got up and danced to a couple of his songs. Also, love the song he wrote and sang "Anything is Possible". I highly recommend his show.

Ethan is obviously a child prodigy. His personality and ease of self on stage was the surprise. But, he is still 13 and not yet pretentious. That made for a good show. Damien has come a long way from Celtic Thunder. He has a very good Irish voice and way about him. Would have liked to see him do more. We will definitely go to see either of them again.
