AutoZone Liberty Bowl

I had a great time in Memphis and at the Liberty Bowl. The event is well-planned and the people are fantastic! The Memphis fans were friendly and respectful. I ought to know! I was a Cyclone fan sitting in a sea of blue! They said they liked having us there but would beef with us on Saturday. The did beef on us but we beefed back , winning the game 21-20.

Arrived in Memphis on New Years Day. Made our first ever visit to Beale street. Would love to go back. Attended the Beale Street Parade and following pep rallies. Game day was a snap. Arrived early, about 4 hours before kick-off. Walked to Central BBQ and ate some of the very best que. Enjoyed the game, especially since my team won. Purposely waited awhile before attempting to leave. Once we decided to go we had no problems getting on to our hotel. My only complaint is we left to visit the three gates where the liberty bowl champion t-shirts were to be sold and all that was available were smalls and mediums.

Great game and great half time show. Only complaint is I had a handicapped person with me and the handicap parking was full. Did not anticipate and will have to ensure handicapped parking if I attend this event in the future.

our tickets were plain tickets ---NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THEM!!!!!!!! We saw other peoples' tickets and they were nice and colorful and big they said Liberty Bowl and the team names. A true keepsake!! I was ashamed to show mine!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It was low scoring but that showed that both teams had good defenses. When it came down to the line, UCF was able to hold off the Georgia Bulldogs to win the game. Great job Knights!

Half Time entertainment was good. The entertainment was choregraphed very well. The high school bands did great. Other perks - parking was excellent, close to stadium with enough room for tailgating with tents.

The venue was great, but needed more security up top due to a few mouthy people. Everyything looked great along with the weather holding out till the end. Easy access to the stadium and parking. The halftime show was great with great sound, but will say there were to many time outs for tv. Would go again.

Game was great Atmosphere was great Fans (Arkansas & K-State) was great Tailgating area was great Parking was great however, I think they have 2-3 people too many on each row!!! Really Cramped!!!

Had a great time. I like both teams so I was a winner either way. It was cold but what did I expect in December. It wasn't raining. Thank you Lord.

Ticket was shipped to my home and needed to be exchanged for a hanging tag the day before the event (Liberty Bowl). Drove to the stadium and a guy waiting in a car had the hanging tag for which I handed him the ticket and signed that I had received the tag(s). I had purchase three. Drove around the tailgating area and looked for my assigned parking spots. Easily identified by a metal number plaque embedded in the concrete curb. Got lucky and got one space immediately adjacent to a landscaping island. This meant more space available for setting up tent. If you can, strongly recommend getting one of those spaces near the landscaping islands. Game day this parking is perfect. Your space is assigned, no fighting over territory. You have a car parking space and at least a 10 foot by 10 foot space of grass to place your tent. Plus, oh my gosh, an electrical outlet. How convenient. We set up the tent, table and chairs inside and turned on the propane heater (outdoor air temp was 35 degrees) and it was great inside. Then we set up the grill on the second green space we had purchased and had the perfect tailgating experience. This is the way to go at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee.

Our tickets ended up being near the Memphis student section. These fans are the most foul mouthed obnoxious fans I have ever witnessed. Total vulger and disrespectful to ISU fans even with small children present. Great game, worst fans.

Fun time but maybe they could clean up around it. Dirty around it. But an amazing game, nice views. Terrible pa system for a place that host a bowl game yearly.

You sold us tickets in the nose-bleed section that sat right behind a support post for the executive boxes above. It was 2 feet wide. We could not see a third of the field. You never warned us about this issue.

From getting the tickets to the end of the day we had a wonderful time. We have discussed having this being our Bowl game each year even if our home team doesn't play. Great experience.

We really enjoyed the environment. The service and food were great. The only negative is that the drink line was long, but they had beer stations that moved quickly

Free parking not too far from stadium. Seats were just fine, even in "nose bleed" section. I know someone that sat opposite side upper deck and had a large pole obstructing their view if the field. Be aware of this. Only complaint: all soda drinks were sold out shortly after halftime.

shuttle service sucked, waited over 1.5 hours sucking fumes , no one new anything, thousands of people waiting for three busses , pure chaos, ended up walking 2.5 miles back to campus drop point along with another couple 3 hours after the 1 hour walk they were still running the 3 busses, will never , ever take the shuttle , rather pay 20.00 and sit in car,

There were so many people there, it was such a great atmosphere! The entertainment was great and the game was great!! Go hogs!!

Picking out good tickets was easy and Game exceeeeded all expectations

Great game parking was good but after game exiting was very difficult and took a ver long time a traffic flow diagram would be nice so depending on direction you want to leave could decide on where too park

I ordered my 4 tickets the second day after they went on sale. The seats were great!! We could see and hear all of the action. Ticketmaster kept me informed when my tickets were shipped and they arrived VERY quickly. I felt so good to know they were in my hands a few days before the event.

We had a good couple of days in Memphis including attendding the Liberty Bowl Parade. Since it coincided with Old Year's and New Year's Days, this was a great party on Beale St. to attend. Music, food and atmosphere were great. The bowl was o.k. Seats were fine and tickets were as expected. What was horrible was the promised shuttle service from external lots about 1.8 miles or more from the stadium. My best guess is that they had about 4 school buses trying to bus 1000 people from our location. The buses had no special route and wer snagged in traffic. Traffic cops were poor at moving traffic so everything was jammed up. After standing lin line for about 40 minutes around noon, we had only seen 3 buses, calculated our chances and walked the 1.8 miles to the game. Was really a great choice. Especially when the game was over and we walked back through all the jammed up traffic. Park at the Benjamin Hooks Library or in the neighborhood in that area and walk to the stadim rather than getting bogged down. Never count on Liberty Bowl shuttles. These folks could learn a lot about moving people from the Bridge Walk on Labor Day in Mackinaw City, MI.

I love the razorback games have a blast everytime .

My boyfriend and I went to watch the Razorbacks play in the Liberty Bowl. The stadium was nice and we had good seats. My only negative is the parking and exiting from the stadium was not well organized at all! I guess I can overlook the parking situation since our Razorbacks won!!!

Had plenty of female restrooms but few male restrooms. They ran out of a lot of food and drink items before the end of the first half. Was like it was their first year. Game excellent, pre game excellent, atmosphere excellent.

This venue was awesome, with great food, great seats,band great atmosphere!

The Liberty Bowl was great the shuttle service provided was horrible.

Seats were great and the place was packed. Never had to wait in line very long and good facilities. Will be back!

The game and the view from our seats was awesome. but the space allotted for each seat was horrible..Sardines have more room in the can than I had for my seat. Way to many people in too little of space. I wont do it again.

Good time had fun! The only hick-up was the local law enforcement could have did better with directing traffic control, took 45mins for the shuttle bus to travel 1.8 miles to the parking lot where our vehicles were!

Great Game, Great Stadium, Great Fans and Very Helpful Stadium Personnel.

Liberty Bowl was amazing. Not a bad seat in the stadium. Excellent customer service and I felt safe. Engaged the crowd in things and made the time more exciting. And Memphis was very hospitable of everyone coming to their city!

Very good experience to be at live bowl game. Especially when my team did so well. Was very cold though which made it uncomfortable and consessions were extremely high. Think they should have been half of what they wanted. Other then that great experience.

The game was outstanding and, despite being an older stadium, the facilities were nice enough. I have been to other bowl games, but this was the first one with entertainment at halftime other than a marching band which we enjoyable. The biggest negative is the traffic control. The city of Memohis gets an F minus grade for the lack of police presence after the game and failure to have a quality traffic control plan to get people away from the venue after the game. As I stated earlier, I have been to several bowls and the traffic control at this one wa by far the worst.

Spent $165 -- yes, $165 -- on this buffet for three people. Why? Because my daughter is part of the WVU marching band and the advertisement for the buffet said the marching band would be part of the entertainment. They were not. That is the ONLY reason I spent this kind of money on it -- we wanted to see our daughter perform. And by the way, the word "buffet" is used very loosely. It consisted of a bbq sandwich, baked beans, coleslaw, and pudding. THAT is a buffet? With the 10 am start time, I was expecting at least some breakfast items, too. What a HUGE disappointment this was. And that's $165 I'll never see again.

We have a great bowl every year. I work for Autozone the stadium is top notch the half time is always good this year was Big and Rich. Memphis is a great city to visit with lots food choices and the Bbq u need try. I also recommend Uncle Lous fried chicken with his special love sauce, best u will ever eat.

Great trip! Great game. Had a blast in Memphis at BB Kings and Beale Street. Overall great experience.

8th year at the Liberty Bowl. It's gets better each year. Great matchup this year. Missed the halftime show due to having a great time with the fans from each school in the concessions area.

The game was great. I just wish the tickets were the nicer ones with the teams on then for a more detailed keepsake. These were just the printed version.

The tickets were bought for my son's Christmas present. He knew he could only open the envelope on Christmas but would be a week before he could use the tickets. He was patient and patience paid off. Not only did he enjoy the atmosphere of the game, but he also enjoyed big time the outcome of this game.

Great event, lots to do in Memphis. My only negative is that our tickets from ticketmaster were plain, computer printed tickets. Others had beautiful large tickets with the bowl logo in it. I would have liked to have that ticket to save for my son's memory book.

I would have given the event 5 stars however the line for will call was so long we had to wait forever and by the time we got our tickets it was almost kickoff. There should be an easier way than that. However, the halftime show was fantastic and the crowd was entergetic! Great experience!!

My family enjoyed the pre game buffet for several reasons. We knew we wanted to arrive early to avoid the last minute rush. It was really a little too cold for us to enjoy the typical outdoor tailgate that we normally have. The buffet allowed to come in from the cold, have a wonderful meal, see other friends, and enjoy the MSU band and cheering squad. It was nice to be able to go out for the walk through and then re-enter the buffet.

SO glad we got this Tiger Lane parking pass. Worth every penny!

Would recommend this bowl game to any one!!! The over all experience was great!!!

Very confusing and took a long time to pick up tickets. First waited on a very long will call line outside of event...waited about 30 minutes because only one person in booth. When got to front of line, told there was not record of my tickets. Went to another booth near stadium (very long walk) but they also did not have them. Wasn't clear where to pick up tickets. Food was not what was expected for the price. Advertised as a Memphis BBQ but only had a pulled pork sandwich and chicken legs available to eat in terms of meat. Would have expected more BBQ foods such as ribs, other chicken pieces

7th consecutive year going and it's still a great bowl game. Great place to watch football and have some of the best BBQ in the country.

Had so much fun! Loved hearing the cow bells everywhere! Had a blast

Had a great time at this year's Liberty Bowl. Loved the cold, rainy weather. Real football weather! Good game. I was already eliminated from any pools so I didn't really care who won. Tulsa has quite a running game. Iowa State brought a big group of great fans. Pretty much filled up their side of the stadium. Best thing about the game was having both bands playing throughout. None of that pop music and (c)rap garbage blaring from loudspeakers.. Halftime show was very good. Rain stopped and Temptations were very entertaining. All around good experience. Better than last year.

Great family event. Iowa State fans were huge in number and spirit. They were also polite, friendly and sporting team colors proudly.

It was cold, and wet and the tickets cost to much. The minimum ticket was 55.00. At least they could of had some endzone tickets for 10 to 20 dollars.

If it didn't rain the game would have been more enjoyable. At least it stopped at the halftime show. It was a good game with a great turnout of fans supporting Iowa State. Good job Tulsa on a great win!

The halftime show was great! The parade on Beale Street was breathtaking since we had a sea of Cyclone fans (25-30,000). City representatives, police, business owners all showed us extreme appreciation and took special efforts to make us feel welcome. I hope we can return soon. New Years Eve on Beale was memorable. Great barbeque!

Good: The game, the stadium itself, parking. Liberty Bowl has great sightlines and you are on top of the game anywhere in the stadium. Bench seats make it easy to move around. I don't go for those chair seats and all that luxury stuff. If you want luxury stay at home. Bad: High prices. Long lines. Lines for the ladies room mixed with the long lines at concession stands creating confusing congestion. Lines at will-call, lines to get in the gates. Lines to get in lines. Post-game traffic control was non-existent where I was. Daughter's hot dog bun was ice-cold. Too many beer vendors coming up the aisle but NO other vendors at all untill the last 6 minutes in the game. With so many inconveniences I've reached the conclusion that this game is poorly run. The Liberty Bowl Committee should be ashamed and tend to some details in the future. The Ugly: KC of KC and the Sunshine Band. Billed as KC and the Sunshine Band at halftime. I don't think there was anything other than KC lip syncing (I may be wrong about this since I was about 97 rows up)

great time. didn't like the blecher style seats but other than that it was a good time

We had a good time overall. Having said that, we were disappointed in our seats. We were in Row 81 which having gone to many other events, we expected to be much closer than we were. We were about 10 rows behind the camera man. We could see the whole field, but couldn't read the names on the back of their jerseys. I guess I am saying we expected more for $170 (3 seats through ticketmaster). This was our first trip to this statium, we were also surprised and disappointed that it was bench seating. If you ever go to the statium and you are past Row 50, make sure you bring a warm jacket. The wind got a little cold up there. Security was good and the service personell were good as well. I think the parking attendendants and traffic control personell were the worst I have ever seen in an event. Simply put, there were none when it was time to leave the event!! It seemed like a free-for-all and there wasn't a traffic flow program or stratagy (although they were very particulate about were to park). Like I said, it was football, it was a live event, and it was New Years Eve...so we did make the most of it and had fun. Unless it was a team I really wanted to cheer for, I think I would consider going to a different bowl next year.

The game was great. The liberty bowl needs updating with better seating and big screen TV's threw out the stadium including the rest rooms. Which will ensure thier isn't a bad seat anywhere and no possibility of missing any of the game action.

The Liberty Bowl was a great contest between C-USA Champion UCF and usually powerful SEC Georgia Bulldogs. UCF upsetting the Dawgs was icing on the cake.

This was my first Bowl Game. It was very well organized, the staff was very courteous and helpful, traffic control was very good, parking was easy and plentiful. Stadium was convenient, vendors were good.

The whole experience was easy to go about and did not require much effort. I did not receive my tickets though so i had to pick them up at will call the day of the event. I was a little sad that i did not get a ticket to use for a scrapbook or just to have to say i went to the game but it was still a good experience

Memphis does a great job in hosting the Liberty Bowl. From the food to the parade to the hospitality, the experience was equal or better than many of the bowls that we have been to. The bowl itself is a very nice venue; clean and updated with great site lines...it reminds me of a mini-Rose Bowl. And the people working the stadium were gracious. Best of all was the halftime entertainment that featured the O'Jays...excellent. All in all, I would recommend...and I'd go back if UGA ever fields a decent enough team to play here again.

The entire experience was amazing. The Pre-Game Buffet and Memphis Bar-B-Q was great. The atmosphere in and around the stadium was great. Fans on both sides of the house were friendly and courteous. There was plenty of good clean trash-talking and the access to the event from the parking to the seats was well planned. Fans recognized good plays for both teams and even the weather couldn't put a damper on the celebration after the game. This was my first Bowl game and I can't wait for our next one. I would recommend the Liberty Bowl to anyone looking for a great family experience.

a close game all the way. ucf looked like a champion. georgia with a 6-6 record should have stayed home. the fans from both schools were good natured,no name calling like some professional team fans.
