With their roots in Atlanta Georgia, five-piece rock outfit Blackberry Smoke bring a deep reverence for the heartland origins of rock and roll to the forefront of modern music. the music was incredible! I actually went mainly to see JJ again (I'm a #1 fan of his). This was my second time seeing both bands live and both put on a fantastic show! I cannot recommend them highly enough. However, the venue seats were terrible! ( as in too small and uncomfortable-they were just fold out chairs-not good at all)

This is the fourth time in the last six years my wife and I have seen Blackberry Smoke, but the first time inside the Stone Pony. They are an amazing band and being so close to them inside with the acoustics of the venue really played to their strengths. The place was absolutely packed, so expect to be standing shoulder to shoulder, but it was 99% great people there for the music (as opposed to a ton of drunk people always going back and forth in a tight crowd).

My review is not so much directed at the bands as the venue. I was not impressed with Wild Bills at all. The 2 opening acts were not good at all...but that is what you expect with opening acts. Our problem was with the sound system, it sounded like a 2nd grader was running the sound board. I am not a sound person by any stretch of the imagination but I know that when someone talks into a microphone you should be able to understand them. No one in our party could understand anythign that was being said much less sung. There were 3 people in our party who really like Blackberry smoke and they were very disappointed and left 4-5 songs into their set.

Great show. Great place to see a concert. Blackberry Smoke was amazing even with being down a member due to illness. The bass player had to be taken to the hospital but the rest of band continued on and played the show. They did a an acoustic instead of thier normal set. The music was unbeleviable. This was on of the best shows I ever seen

I saw Blackberry Smoke at the Hard Rock Hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi. Before the concert started, the announcer told us that the bass player was taken to the hospital due to illness. He said the band still wanted to play, but they would change the concert to an acoustic version. I have heard BBS 3 times live before, and they ROCK!!! I was very impressed that they decided to go on with the show . I was excited to hear Charlie Starr's voice in an acoustic setting. IT WAS AMAZING!!! He was funny and also shared many stories behind the songs he sang. It was a much more personal concert and I loved it!! This band is a must see!!! Whether they rock it, or deliver their music acoustically, THEY DELIVER!!!!

They were amazing... I've seen some so called "bigger" country acts that didn't come close to putting out the actual musical talent that these guys did. I'm not sure I have ever seen a band in the 25 yrs I've attended concerts, that sounded exactly like they do live, as they do on most ALL of their songs!!! This show keeps you singing and dancing for 4 straight hours. Two opening acts of an hour a piece, then Blackberry Smoke played for almost two straight hours!!! I'd love to see that from performers more often. They fit so much in!! I cannot wait to go to my next show... I definitely have the Southern Rock bug now!!!!

There's Country, Rock, Blues, Gospel and each on their own are great and have great artist performing them. But when you put them all in a blender and turn it on high? That's Blackberry Smoke! Lyrics that tell a story and don't just fill air. Blackberry Smoke! Five road dogs tighter than Uncle Johnny on Saturday night. Yep, Blackberry Smoke. They have the rare distinction of a band that sounds as good or better live than on a studio cut. Live, Charlie Starr has freedom to play and play he does. Sixteen guitar changes and Paul Jackson's ten changes is a guitar player or listener dream come true. Holding All the Roses is a little different. But it's a great different! The boys really show their ability to create and expand. No twisting around the same thing and served a different way. They have broadened their God given talent, turned it into music, took it on the road and serve it you. I'll have a second helping please!

My wife and I had a great time at the Blackberry Smoke show. This was our first time seeing them and their performance was really fun. They sounded great and were really tight. I bought tickets to this concert as a gift for my husband. I accompanied him as his guest. I had never heard of this band except for him and my father talking about it. I have to say, they put on a really good show. Their opening act rocked the house as well. I really enjoyed the music! Most of all, I enjoyed watching my husband having a blast. He said our seats were great and he had such a good time. It was cool when the father of the lead singer of Brother Hawk came out and played the harmonica during one of their songs. The lead singer of Cinderella came out for two songs. That was also really cool!

Been to several BBS shows & as usual, Blackberry Smoke is amazing! Played a bit of everything from their repertoire ~ Most of the tunes from Holding All The Roses, several Whippoorwill tunes plus Shake Your Magnolia & Skynyrd's "Working for MCA" They're making this tour with Leon Virgil Bowers & The Temperance Movement. LVB does a very cool short set (Check out the gas can guitar!) and the reaction to the Temperance Movement has been incredible. Was digging their music BEFORE the show, but their live set is absolutely killer!

Great band no matter what, but the sound at this venue isn't the best. Storytellers need to be heard and the vocals were too low to make out the words if you don't already know them by heart. Not the best venue to see these guys for a first timer. The parking lot, good (but pricey) beer selection and crappy, but tasty bar food is actually a plus for this venue. The video system is awful, so if you don't have a great view of the stage from where you are standing you might as well sit in the parking lot and listen to the CD. Static, unclear wide shots of the stage are pretty much useless to a fan who is already listening to muddled, low vocals. The band rocked it as usual. They are amazing on and off stage and I will go no matter what venue they choose for their next show. To those who may have felt a bit underwhelmed by the experience, please do not judge the band based on the experience at this venue. I had a blast none the less, but hope they go back to the TLA in the future.

Ben Miller Band opened with 4 unique bluesy roots rockers. Playing a washboard, spoons, trombone, guitar, banjo and 1 string washtub bass. This is most unique band I have seen, very good. Temperence Movement came on second and played good old fashioned rock and roll. Although he had a great voice reminiscent of Chris Robinson of Black Crows combined w early Faces era Rod Stewart, the lead singers was a bit too flamboyant for my taste. Blackberry Smoke did a nice job of mixing in old favorites with 5 songs of their newest release "Holding All the Roses" I have seen B Smoke 5 times and they always put on a stellar show. They do very little talking, just lots of rocking rolling from 1 song into the next.

Blackberry Smoke put on another solid performance. Anyone that has seen this band knows what to expect and they always deliver. Great songs played by real musicians with a passion for their craft. They touched on all previous albums playing some older songs that I had not heard them play before. They hit all areas with warm acoustic songs, uptempo country/rock songs as well as just blowing the doors off with good hard rock riffs. If you are on the fence about seeing this band, do yourself a favor and go see them live. You will not be disappointed.

The Bluesville venue is great because it is pretty small so there isn t a bad seat. If you are on the floor you can be as close as you want to the stage. Lucas Nelson and the promise of the real opened and they were really good. Willie comes out every once in a while in Lucas voice and they is a cool thing! The ticket said the show starts at 8 but we walked in at 7:45 and they were already playing. Sad I missed some of their set. Blackberry smoke came on about 8:30 and they were great as usual. It was a very fun show. Will be back for sure. Just don t stay next door at the Roadhouse....it s a DUMP!!

3rd time seeing them in 7 months. Seen them in Ft Worth at Billy Bob's, HOB Vegas and this time in New Orleans. All 3 shows fantastic and different set list. The crowd they bring is polite and having a good time. Sound is great although Billy Bob's was a bit rough but that was more to due with venue. Highly recommend !! New song is great, Flesh and Bone. Did a meet and greet at end of this show, took time to chat and were just as u would expect, friendly and appreciative.

Charlie Starr's time on stage with Warren Haynes and Gov'the Mule is adding to his ever expanding guitar style and tones. We upgraded to the balcony. Love this band!

Even though that was my first time to the Fillmore, I have to say the place was great! It was old and funky and a throw back form days gone by, but fun none the less. BlackBerry Smoke was fantastic! They played for just about two hours so you felt like you got your money worth. The music was spot and then never missed a beat. The guitar play was amazing and so were the drums. The rhythm guitar and bass playing were extremely tight and crisp really kept the band in sync. As fan the only negative was the fact they didn't play my favorite songs, Freedom Song or Restless. However in all fairness they exposed me to new songs that I enjoyed. Great show!

Blackberry Smoke is one of those bands that once you have seen them live that you will see then again and again. This was my eighth time and they never fail to amaze. As the saying go's "To much rock to be country and to much country to be rock" Just great southern style music.. Try it you'll like it

This was my second time around seeing Blackberry Smoke live. First time I got to see them at a small venue in northern Michigan which was outdoors and they were probably the best I seen live up to that point even meeting them backstage for the VIP and I've seen a lot of concerts over the years from the 70s to now. This time staying with relatives in Columbus Ohio and going and seeing them play inside a small venue which was a fantastic place, they were even better with all the acoustics bouncing off the walls. This band lead by Charlie Starr in my opinion is the best live band touring. They never disappoint and are very tight and on point. I give the venue high praise as well, very cool place with big screens everywhere, great staff, it's perfect to see your favorite band up close.

Blackberry Smoke has to be the hardest working band around. They are truly, genuinely talented. They live their fans and it shows in every performance. If you haven't seen them live you are missing out. Once you do see them live you will want to see them again and again every chance you get.

My third time seeing them since I discovered these guys live album "Leave a Scar". They play different songs each show from their repertoire and do covers of other groups as well. Charlie's voice is amazing and how he can belt out their tunes so powerfully each night is startling. They are amazingly tight as they are true road warriors playing live constantly and keep getting better and better. Each song is a musical gem and they are heartfelt and evocative of their Southern American roots. Their new album "Find a Light" is tremendous and likely to win them a "CMA" or two. Their encore with Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown of "Can't you Hear me Knocking" blew everyone away. If you have not seen this band, you don't know what you are missing! Hope they are back in New York soon.

This band just keeps getting better every time I see them. Not that they were ever "bad", but they raise the bar HIGHER each time!! Cannot wait for Live Stream through JamBase on YouTube tonight from their concert in NY. 9:25 pm Friday, 5/18/18.....if you have NEVER seen them, you should really try to watch this concert tonight. I GUARANTEE you will be buying tickets to see them LIVE after you watch! The Ritz was an AWESOME venue!! My first time there but it won't be the last!

I've been a huge fan of these guys for many years, and have been dying to see them. I finally got the chance this May. Overall a good time. Excellent musicians and they played a solid show. My only gripe was it seemed like they couldn't get done and out of there fast enough. Came on stage and started ripping off songs, and never stopped. They went off stage at one point, then came back 30 seconds later to do a few more songs. Then they walked off again, the lights came on and the crew started cleaning up. Never spoke to the audience, never got the crowd involved. Never said "Thank you, Good night!". Just stopped playing and walked off. For a band that's come up through the bars, touring relentlessly, I thought there'd be a little more interaction from them. I was disappointed in that regard. P.S. - Tyler Bryant, who opened for them, was excellent!
