This was the best rock concert experience for me because it was in a small venue, and it was intimate. The place was filled with real Days of the New fans. The audience was friendly, I talked to someone next to me about the upcoming Alice in Chains concerts in March. When Travis finally came out, he was a bit late, and I admit, I think we were all shocked by his appearance. To say he was thin was an understatement. I couldnt stop looking at when happened to this incredibly handsome man, it was very sad. He started the set with 10 minutes of acoustic medleys. Then, he started chatting with the audience and never stopped! He shared what was going on with his plans for the new album, he commented on his appearance on Intervention, and he passed around his personal notebook to get everyone's email address. His vocals were unreal. At moments, I was just staring at him in amazement. There were about 6 guitars set up on stage. His bass player was great and the drummer was playing on the biggest drum set I've ever seen, complete with bongo drums and a triangle. He ended by doing a cover of a Doors song. He was personable and made eye contact and smiled at the audience members - I was in the front row and he smiled at me a few times as I sang along to "Touch, Peel and Stand." He interacted with his other band members as if he were conducting an orchestra - he is definitely a mastermind. I just hope he stays healthy.

Travis Meeks was on time and put on a great show. The club environment with only about 200 in attendance made it more enjoyable. Hung out with the band after the show until we all got kicked out at 2am! Unforgettable night.

Travis put on an unforgettable show and it was a blast. He looked healthier than he did since 2003 and seemed liked he was having a genuinely good time being up there so he must be doing good now. His vocals and guitar playing were spot on and it was awesome. He played for about 2 hours. I even got the chance to talk to Travis a couple times and he was cool. If you get the chance to see Days of the New play or just Travis by himself you should not pass it up. It was the show of a lifetime.

I have seen Days Of The New several times ans was looking forward to the show last night at The State Theater in Down Town St Pete. Got to the door and found out he canceled two hours before the show started. Bumbed us out! Is this a normal trend for Travis?

I have seen Days of the New several times in the last couple of years, and they put on a great show. Travis Meeks (vocals/guitarist) always sings his ass off, and he's usually accompanied by an upright bass player and AMAZING drummer. His concerts are a little more jam-oriented than the albums, and several songs are extended to 10+ minutes. They usually play 8-10 songs, set is about an hour and a half long. Because of the types of venue that the band plays, I would check to see how many opening acts are playing before them, otherwise you might end up going there several hours early. I would also like to put a reference point on the bad reviews from the Michigan show; the set was abbreviated because of the combination of too many opening bands and an early curfew, with Days of the New getting only 50 minutes or so to play. This has happened with several bands who have played at The Ritz, including Marcy Playground.

Ticket said doors opened at 7pm got there close to 9pm dat around waiting for 3 hours still no show from days of the new radio station was there around 10 went out side at 12:30 am the radio station was not there. and there was no information when band was going on stage. Spent over 40 dollars on drinks at bar waiting. left 10 to 1 am because i did not think they would show up a band is normally playing a show for 2 hours there was no way they could even if they did show up. Horrible looked forward to the concert for a month and cancelled plans with a good friend to attend her party for that? no communication about the band from the bar or anything. Travis needs to get his drug addiction of meth and oxy cotton under control and start being professional. peoples worlds to evolve around him to sit there and wait for him. we are all important and have plans. Will request a refund

I have been a concert attendee since the age of 4. I love music, crowds and hanging out with friends. Last week WRIF, a Detroit radio station, began to promote Days of the New at the Ritz in Warren. I am a fan of there's and have been for a long time. Since they do not tour often I decided to spend the money (which I do not have a lot of... college student) and attended the show. The first band was trash, the second was ok, the third fourth and fifth bands were terrible. My friend and I arrived at the show early figuring that Days of the New would be on stage around 10 or 11. At 1:30 we left as the crew was still setting up the stage for their act. I will never again go the Ritz for a show, and think that Days of the New lost a fan because of it. Oh, by the way, we left because I work in at 5:00 in the morning everyday...

The event was poorly run. The Ritz had 5 other acts on that went on before DOTN/Travis Meeks. A couple of these acts were good, but the last one - a Marilyn Manson wannabe was boo'ed off at around 12:30. After about 45 minutes of The Ritz technicians and Travis setting up they got going. The performance was great, but too short. We were up front and could see Ritz management trying to close down at 2:00. Travis went over and talked them into another 30 minutes. He play the big hits, talked to us a bit and did a great job. I sincerely hope that he has gotten his life together and gets another chance -- it was a special night to see agreatone so close and intimate. We 're wondering why thye had so many opening acts and waited so long to turn the stage over to him.

I was stoked to get to see Days of the New. I still am through no fault of theirs the band did not play that evening. I was walking in the door to find out they had cancelled. I so wanted to see them. My tickets were at will call I never received them. I was promised a refund but since the club is changing names to Wired Live from Meridian , I do not see it happening soon. A total let down!

For anyone thinking about seeing Travis live - do it! Travis is happy and healthy and putting on amazing shows! Travis has been playing a medley of the older songs, from the first album, Orange (yellow) at shows and this has been a big hit. He's scheduled a lot of shows, some solo acoustic sets coming up. Check out his myspace page daysofthenew or visit the daysofthenew.com website forums for tourdate and other info. The Purple album is in the works and will be amazing.

I saw Days of the New in 2008 and let me tell you that the performances were like night and day. Travis was mythical on the guitar and his interaction with the crowd was a pleasant suprise, i saw a musician who poured his heart in soul out on that stage and delivered with his music......i can't wait till Travis comes back. TREE COLORS!!!!!!!!

Travis went on around 12:45 and opened with a pretty cool jam. He the proceeded to talk about his meth addiction and how the money we paid for the tickets aren't going to his addiction which I doubt. He played a pretty decent set and ended with "the end." He played a bunch of songs from yellow and a few others. Its a damn shame what he has done to himself.. he just had no energy to him.. overall it was worth it since I love his music. Just a shame he's killing himself.

We got to Biffs around 5:30 pm. Doors opened at 7:00 pm. The first band did not go on until around 9:30. They ended around 10:15 then the second wait started. Finally around 11:45, Days of the New decided to show up and then started to tune their guitars. One would think they would be there a lot early and get the tuning of their guitars before they were supposed to be on. Then when they did start playing, they played on good song and then three of the worse songs I have ever heard in my life. We left at around 12:45 because it was a work night so who can stay at a bar until 2:00 listening to a band that could not have the decency of showing up on time when people paid to see them and were on time. My wife was looking forward to seeing them since she has most of their CD"s and wanted them to get signed but she was highly disappointed also. During the entire period of waiting, not one message was said about what is going until about five minutes before Days of the New came on. This was the worst concert and concert experience that I have ever had. Pathetic.

Came on stage late. Amazing Show. However the crowd pretty much disappeared before DOTN ever got on stage. I LOVE the band the show was great but Travis is a genius and didn't give really care about the audience. Never talked. SHOW WAS GREAT. However when the show was done no encore. NOTHING. damn. Don't get me wrong the show was great I just wanted a little more. show started at 8 but DOTN came on stage at 11:40 and ended at 1:20

I was so excited to see Days Of The New and was I disappointed. They came on at like 11:30 and Travis was clearly not clear headed. I will admit that some portions of the set where good but there was no charisma and when they where done they just walked of the stage . Very Disapointing from a band that I had seen in its prime that was fantastic.
