This was a great concert! I first saw Edgar in 1974 and have seen him twice since that time. He just keeps getting better with age. His backing band is very professional and the guitarist is one of the best I have ever heard. Catch his show if you get the chance. You will not regret it!

Rick and Edgar were great. We were disappointed that there was no encore, and one of my favorite songs is Easy Street which they didn't play. But, the show was fantastic.

Pat travers sounded like a garage band to me. Rick Derringer was better. The guitarists for all three bands blew me away. Edgar Winter is so multi-talented. Wished he'd done more.

What a great setting to hear my longtime idol. I was in the second row, and even got to ask him a question. The sound was very good in the concert room. Thumbs up for presenting such an important and legendary musician!

A really fun night. Sound was a little too loud (I must be getting old), but they sounded really good. My only complaints were that they did not play long enough and they did not play together. That would have been amazing. Loved Hang on Sloopy and Still Alive and Well from Derringer and Tobacco Road from Winter. Had they done them together it would have been perfect.

I wore out my White Trash album back in the seventies and this is the first time I've gotten to see Edgar. He is a true talent....voice, keyboards, sax, percussion, songwriting. I never thought 4 guys could pull off Frankenstein live but they really did it. Very cool. Edgar & band were great but my family and I really thought Rick Derringer (opening act) stole the show. Rick is at the "Rock Guitar God" level (yes.. like Santana, Clapton, Hendrix). Rick playing encompassed rock, blues, jazz, space-jams and even classical and other cool stuff where he was just showing off. There were alot of "wows" and jaws dropping watching this guy. The guitar player in Edgar's band was no slouch either. And Rick played the guitar with Edgars band on Free Ride & Tobacco Road.

Rick Derringer was absolutely fantastic, He actually played longer and with more connection to the audience than Edgar. Edgar was preoccupied with looking at his watch. But even at that Edgar did a great job at what he did. I was sort of dissapointed that there was no encore, even though the fans were cheering for one. Seriously, I think that Rick did a much better job than Edgar and I am a Real Edgar fan. (Since 1972) This was the flattest performance I have ever seen by Edgar and hope that the next time I see him he is more engaged. Rick was awesome, Edgar is always awesome but I have seen him much better. Tom D.

Thought that the two stars were performing together, but it was still a great show. Edgar still has his 5 octive range singing voice and some set of lungs on him. To blow the sax, jump around the stage and sing all at the same time. WOW Have seen him and Johnny many, many times. GREAT!!!

A wonderful performance from the 2 bands that performed that night. Winters rendition of Tobacco road highlighted his performance. Kudos to Mr. Derringers band for their classic performance of Hang on sloopy, as well as Rock an roll hootchie koo. Big thanks to Mr Derringer and his band for taking the time to have my picture taken with them during intermission for my early 50th birthday present. It was a wonderful experience.

Edgar Winter hasn't lost his incredible stage presence nor his incredible voice. As a musician of the 70's fame, his voice and musical talent is beyond what you would expect. Rock n Roll Hoochy Koo! Just watch him playing the keyboard, saxophone, or drums! More talented than many "R&R" stars today! What voice inflection! Sure wish I could do that! Rick Derringer is the backbone of both the Edgar and Johnny Winter Bands. Amazing Guitarist! Don't miss this!

Edgar and the band are really good. Edgar still has a great voice and knows how to perform. We sat close to the stage (3rd row) so we had a wonderful veiw. When it was quiet and it was just Edgar and one other player the sound was excellant. Unfortunately when the entire band was playing the only person you could not hear was Edgar. In the beginning of the show he had problems with his vocal mic cutting in and out and it took the sound guy 15 minutes to replace it. I hope the sound was mixed better in the middle and back of the room. Great band great vocals bad sound guy.

I was pleasantly surprised at the talent of Edgar Winter. He is very dedicated to his art and it shows through his on-stage presence. He has put together an incredible troup of musicians with Doug Rappoport (lead guitar) comparing I think to Eddie VanHalen and drummer Jason Carpenter. Big sound from a few instruments.

Tim and I will never forget our third row center seats at this unbelievable performance. Do we actually get better with age, as fine wine? Edgar Winter certainly does. His talent is amazing and his music is beautiful. Is there an instrument that he cannot play well? He moved zestfully between instruments and just when we thought it couldn't get any better.......Encore!

My kids sometimes accuse me of being stuck in the 70's, but if being stuck there means I get see music and performances like this, then leave me there! The bands were tight, great guitar playing from Pat Travers, Rick Derringer and Edgar's lead guitarist, Doug Rappaport. All the bands were small, 3 or 4 man bands, but produced lots of sound! Derringer looks good, sounds great. Edgar is amazing, I only wish the show lasted twice as long to hear some more favorites from them all.

Rarely have I been to a concert where I just couldn't decide which act was better. Rick must've been born with a guitar! Where does Charlie get the energy? He was just amazing ! Tommy just wouldn't quit. In fact, this trio was made, one for the other! Also, how gracious of these guys to sign autographs, pose for pix, & talk to the fans! What can I say about Edgar? "Frankenstein" said it all. The drummer & guitarist could duel with any of today's talents. The only disappointment was that Edgar & Rick didn't play together.

I went to the Jan,29th Friday evening show with Egdar Winter and Rick Derringer and I have seen some Great shows in the last 45 years, this was as Good as it gets! Derringer was the opening act and gave a very good performance and then Edgar came out and floored the audience. He hasn't Lost Anything after all these years. The band was as tight as could be and I have never seen him perform Tobacco Road or Frankenstein better. I LOVE the Westbury Theatre, it's my Favorite venue in N.Y.

Rick Derringer has been putting out the songs, since the early 60's. He was able to treat us to a small part of his legacy. Being a sound guy myself, I wanted the bass down in the mix more, but that bass player was a character , so I didn't mind that much. Edgar was in prime form, emitting his positive energy, to everyone attending.

I am so glad I got the opportunity to see Edgar and his band because man they can bring the good old rock music to the stage! The entire hour was great with Edgar playing that keyboard all over the stage still and his soulful band performing their hearts out. Edgar's voice and range are as good if not better than ever. I could have listened all night! He had a special interaction with each band member making sounds with his mic like their instrument and challenging them to repeat it and it was so good. I just can't express in words how good this show was in the Florida night air at the beautiful St Augustine Amphitheatre. Spend an evening with Edgar and his band and you will always remember it...

Edgar Winter is a very gifted musician, who plays keyboards and is an amazing sax player. He vocal range is still quite impressive and he was able to hit many difficult high notes with power! He has a very talented 3-piece band that can really perform with precision.

Very pleasurable evening at the Gordie Brown venue. Loved Edgars band, very talented lineup. Loved the fusion. The song I least wanted to hear (Frankenstein) turned out to be the best....They took that way out unexpected, awesome experience. I like the way Edgar let the band take off to show their chops. Bass player sounded phenomenal ! Edgar has always amazed me with a mix of rock, boogie, and the jazz thing. Voice doesn't miss a lick, still has it all. VENUE: Very comfortable, small and personal , spacious ailes and seating. I swear not a bad seat in the house. Definitely one of the best venues in vegas !!!! Wonderful music experience.

On Fri Oct 9 saw Edgar winter and Rick Derringer at Thunder Valley. The night began with Riick who put on a great opening set. He was warm and witty with his audience in between songs and is really an excellent musician! After , Edgar took the stage by storm he approached his fans running on stage to greet us and moved about the stage like a sixteen year old kid. He began his show with Keep playing that rock and roll and ended with a brother tribute (Johnny) Jumpin Jack Flash. His energy and voice was amazing and his multi instrumental abilities are mind blowing. I really recommend seeing this show they are both so much better live!

Excellent show, but The Cave has changed the interior to a banquet style seating so everyone is on the same level. If a tall person sits in front of you, then it is impossible to see the stage. Also, the acoustics have changed in that the flooring is now cement. We will not return.

I traveled to Vegas for this concert - initially, was inspired by the idea of seeing Johnny Winter who, unfortunately, passed away before this show. The lineup then added Rick Derringer and his band, which was good! The musicians all did a good job, and were very entertaining. But, it seemed to me that they should have played MUCH longer than they did in the individual acts! For example, I had waited to see Vanilla Fudge for 45 years(!), and was extremely disappointed when they only played for half an hour - or less! The show included a member of Savoy Brown and the great Mr. Rivera from Rare Earth; then, Rick Derringer and his band; then, Vanilla Fudge; then, Edgar Winter and his band. All played well, although there were some weak moments in Mr. Rivera's performance. Not his fault, but seemed like his back-up musicians (who also played with some of the other musicians/bands) were not quite up to par (practice-wise) on the Rare Earth tunes. All in all, it was a good show - but, with this many bands, I expected it to last longer! Concert started at 7:30, with shorter-than-usual breaks between bands - and it was OVER at 10:15. I hadn't had nearly enough, particularly of Vanilla Fudge :( I WILL say, however, that Vanilla Fudge's vocals were spot-on and FLAWLESS, as was their overall performance.

Two disappointments: Peter Rivera got the audience totally rockin' ... then had to stop because his 20 minutes were up. Vanilla Fudge (I went to this "Fest" mainly to hear them) only did Shotgun and You Keep Me Hangin' On. The rest of their 30 minutes was filled with Carmine Appice's vocals, which were not the best. Several years ago, Vanilla Fudge appeared in a "Fest" at this same venue and did all their songs.

Edgar has still got it and then some! Such a pleasure to watch and listen to him and his outstanding band including Doug Rappaport on lead guitar. That man has some serious chops and continues the long line of great lead guitarists that have played in Edgars band including Rick Derringer, Ronnie Montrose and some other albino guy named Johnny...........! Edgars vocals are still spot on and his scat-singing skills are amazing....sax and keyboards are excellent as usual and I love the stories that he tells between songs and some of the info about those songs he shares. Edgar and the band really let it rip the other night. I was especially pleased that the opening few songs were hard, blues driven rockers that got the blood flowing immediately. The band overall was tight and the calls back and forth from Edgar and other members of the band were the highlights of the show. The expected songs like Frankenstein, Free Ride et. el were played but I really enjoyed Tobacco Road and the medley of hits near the end of the show. Edgar can still nail the sax and the hand held piano but his singing was off key and a little ragged, other than that it was an enjoyable night and as always the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is one of the best venues to see a rock show. I recently saw Thin Lizzy at PVCH and a great time was had by all and the EWG was also spot on. Keep em coming.
