I feel that expectations were not met, they over-exaggerated how fun and scary it would be.

This event was great! The money spent on tickets was well worth it.

Its a shame to me because this was my favorite haunted attraction for years. Mainly due to the atmosphere that can't be duplicated. The old furnace is just eerie by itself. SFF has always seemed to be well funded with great actors but not this year. Sadly this year was probably our last trip to this attraction. I don't mind driving to a good haunted attraction and there a lot better ones within reasonable driving distances that are more professionally put together. I'm not going to completely dog this place out because they may have had people call in sick but it was sub-par at best. Spending around $100, my son and I were very disappointing and upset at how far down this place has fallen compared to the last time we went through. If you've been in the last 5 years I would say go try something else and don't spoil your good memories of this place.

I spent en extra $20 for the "Extreme Scream" tickets and the ticket-takers did not even look at our tickets, we ended up going in as general admission. For an event at this price, the ticket-taking staff was incredibly unaware. I spent $90 for something that was should have costed me around $30. The venue is great, and the idea is there. There was no strong theme so very often the the monsters were thrown in places they did not belong. They were acting scary to be scary, but there was little consistency. Some characters just wore some black eyeliner and moaned like a caveman and some makeups and characters were top-notch. Over all, it was a fun haunted house but I certainly expected more for the price I paid.

We went on a Thursday night which was not very busy. We bought the most expensive tickets thinking we'd get some extra perks but it was not worth it. We never saw anything different than anyone else and as we arrived early the lines were short. It was a fun things to do but definitely not worth the $95 we spent.

I was with a group of 11 other people and we all share the opinion that Sloss Fright Furnace has been the biggest waste of time and money for the last two years. We went back this year thinking that because we were one of the last groups last year, a lot of the characters had left. NOT THE CASE! We were there early this year (around 730-8pm). We bought our tickets online this year so the long line wasn't an issue. I personally told the group The Conjuring Room was great because of my experience last year with another group. This year, not so much. A true waste of $4. The Zombie trail was probably the best of everything but still wasn't much to write home about. When we got the slide, some of us decided not to go on the slide and others weren't even given an option. Myself and my father walked to the end of the slide (out of the way of anyone exiting the slide or bypassing the slide) and the EXTREMLY RUDE worker proceeds to badger us about not waiting and it's not allowed unless the people on the slide are 12years or younger. I asked where the sign is that says that or where it says that online and he couldn't answer me. I also told him that our group was separated due to a bunch of preteens who were "running" like crazy which was not allowed. I came in with a group, I was leaving with that same group. He finally just turned around and mumbled something under his breath and left us alone. On to the actual Furnace....hardly any characters at all! The "clown" maze had 0 characters in it! I get that with the clown issue going on they may have removed clowns for safety reasons, but they could have replaced it with other characters. There was a lot of walking with nothing going on at all. You could see where the characters should have been and weren't. The line to get into the Furnace portion was a hot mess as well. There were 3 or 4 different lines of people who were waiting to get into the furnace portion and when those lines would start to merge, guest were getting upset thinking people were cutting in line. The reality of it was that no one knew where the line was. We mentioned something to the workers who were collecting tickets and they brushed it off like they didn't care. We went to 4 different Haunted Houses this year and so far, the one that was $15 was far better then Sloss. To say I am a little pissed after spending $25 per person at Sloss, would be an understatement. I am sure our combined total of $300 in tickets (not counting what we spent on beer and food) will not put a dent in what this place makes, but we wont be back, ever.

Sloss was a great night out with friends more than anything. It was my first visit and I was expecting something bigger and better than most haunted houses; something even more realistic and authentically scary. The actors are good, yet there is still a cheesy factor to some of the paths of the furnace. What I loved was the large number of things you could do onsite: watch horror movies while waiting your turn, concessions, conjuring room, outdoor area (Outbreak; kinda like a maze) and then the furnace itself. I would recommend paying extra to permit the actors to interact with you by touch. This really adds a lot. You will come out with fake blood on your face! But being led away from the group into a new course where you are most likely alone really adds a new level to the night.

I took my 14 year old son and his friend to the Sloss factory and we had the best time. It was scary, funny and exciting. It was relaxing to sit and watch the movie on the big screen in between events. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get the pee scared out of them.

We got there at 4:30 because our ticket time said to be there at 5. 2 and a half hours later they started selling tickets but we still had to wait in line so there's really no point in buying advanced tickets. It was close to 7:30 by the time we finally did the first activity (which only took about 10 minutes). Then to actually get in the furnace tour it was about another 45 minutes even though we were supposed to be in the very first group!! If you say you open at this time or have a time on the online tickets, HAVE EVERYTHING READY BY THE TIME PEOPLE SHOW UP! It was pretty unorganized and I was pretty disappointed in the whole thing. The ticket price is okay but wasting almost three hours of my time? Definitely not okay.

First off, I purchased tickets for Halloween for 5 people for three trails: Outbreak, Woods, and Furnace. On arrival we received letter M as our ticket for Furnace, and as they were only on letter I, we decided to go onto the Woods. Walking through the woods was pretty fair. Most of the atmosphere was from the loud bangs and horns. People behind me were chased by a chainsaw, which seemed fun. The woods was advertised to have a 100ft slide in the dark, which seemed to be out of order because we just walked by it. After we finished the woods trail, we were about to go to Outbreak to kill time (the Furnace trip was still on letter I) and on arrival we were told it was being closed down because of malfunctions. That left us with the rest of the time waiting for our turn (maybe an hour or more). After being admitted to the furnace trip, we were pretty ecstatic to end up at the very front of the group. However, right before we started two couples slid in front of us with what I assume to be the VIP tickets. Once we started, I was at the front of my group, as the path was mainly single file. It felt that throughout the whole trail the two couples in front of my were getting scared and I just got to watch as the monsters went back into hiding. I really liked the parts with dense fog and strobe lights with added chainsaw sounds. Other than that I felt that it was a underwhelming (which may be to my fault of overhypeing it after hearing from other friends).

Sloss was not very scary; but entertaining. Great for younger children. You do get your money's worth with all the things to do. Like a miniature amusement park.

My sister and I love to be scared by haunted houses, etc. We are in our 50's. While going thru the furnace area, I was more concerned with hitting my head on the pipes or falling down the stairs then the creatures following us. I rated this part a 2 of 10. On part two the WOODS there were NOT enough creatures in the woods, not much shock value. I gave it a 3 out of ten just because someone followed me thru half of it and kept blowing down my neck. Part three the Zombie field was the only part that I screamed my pants off for most of the journey. Yes, the zombies came after you and I hate to be chased. If they caught you they could touch and slime you. This part gave me many a great screams. I gave this part a 7 out of 10. Sorry, but I don't think we would come back here. Thanks, Zombie Deb

Sloss Fright Furnace is so disorganized and poorly planned I'm not sure how it has stayed open for so long! We arrived an hour before opening and there was already a long line. We waited in line for over an hour for tickets, but that only got us into the "holding area". We then had to wait in another line for another hour to get into the Haunted Trail. Definitely not worth the wait! I've seen haunted trails put on by local high schools that were scarier! Seriously. This trail had no props. No scenes. Nothing! It was simply a dimly lit trail through the woods. Every once in awhile an "actor" in camo paint would jump out from behind a tree and yell Boo! The trail ended with yet another line and another wait. This time to climb some steps and come down a slide. We then went to Zombie Outbreak and stood in line for over an hour! Again! There seemed to be no reason for this wait. We were the first ones in line! Many people in line behind us got tired of waiting and just left. They didn't miss much. Zombie Outbreak consisted of a light obstacle course swarming with poorly made up zombies that are trying to tag you with invisible phosphorous paint. Your goal is to make it all the way through the obstacle course without being "infected" by the zombies. Here's the catch: YOU CAN'T RUN! Seriously. They don't allow you to run. If you are caught running, they escort you out! How are you suppose to escape zombies if you can't run! We then headed over to the Fright Furnace, but there was at least a 2 hour wait for that so we called it quits and just left. At this point we had been at Sloss for nearly 4 hours! Three and a half of those 4 hours was spent waiting in line. I really don't mind standing in line if the pay off is worth it. Really. I've stood in line at Disney for hours and was extremely happy at the end of the ride. This was NOT the case at Sloss Fright Furnace! Do not waste your time or money here! It's not worth it.

I expected it to be much scarier and better than what it was, especially for the price! The "Woods" were the best part. The tour of the furnace itself was just not what I expected and not scary at all. I laughed all the way through it. The actors weren't very good either, unfortunately. It would be so much better if they actually incorporated some of the true, rich Sloss history into it, which was exactly what drew me to it! I felt it was way overpriced for what it was also. Wish I had better things to say :(

Sloss has the furnace tour, the haunted woods trail and NOW they offer you the opportunity to attempt survival in a zombie infested low-effort obstacle course! But what's that you say? Always wondered what it's like to BE one of the undead? Want to be a blood smeared revenant in search of victims who wander too close? Now's your chance! Volunteer to be a zombie if you dare, or enjoy dodging the touch of one in this new addition to Sloss' Halloween offerings. And don't forget.... no matter how frightened, scared, terrified or horrified you become - HAVE FUN!!!

Long lines, if you have purchased tickets on line you do NOT have to stand in the line. Beware, they offer a Fastpass at the gate for about $10 more. They allow those folks to break line in groups, much like Disney, but they don't alternate with regular guests already in the line. Frustrating. The furnace tour was good but not scary (I'm too old I guess), the Woods was pretty good as well but not overly scary. The Outbreak was a lame obstacle course with zombies that were guests. Nothing scary about it and the line to enter is very long. We waited an hour and considered ourselves lucky when we saw it was much longer as the night went on. Overall, it's a neat place to see and if you don't care for gross haunted stuff this is a good place to go. My daughter (9) would have enjoyed it and not be anything but nervous and startled. Not scared or frightened.

Very impressive haunted house. Although having to pay to park on top of entry fee is a bit of a sting. They could put up a sign to direct the lines for tickets as well. Since there was no option to print your tickets - will call only, we had to work through the crowd who got aggressive thinking we were cutting to find where to go to get our fast passes. Fast passes will save you great time to get tickets but absolutely no time gettin into either trail. They also put way too many people on each trail and if you try to take your time on either staff will rudely hurry you along so unless your lucky enough to be first (a 1 in 30 chance) you will not be frightened...

Not scary. Poor make up, bad costumes, and dangerous paths.Too dark. No signs or warnings of steps and low ceilings. Tripped a lot. Dangerous trails. Would've been enjoyable if able to see. We were not supplied with light sticks as stated in promo. Dangerous walking paths without any lighting. Strobes and bursts of light make it hard to focus. 3-D art is good, but unrelated. Very disappointing. Lines are over 2 & 1/2 hrs long. Trip was over an hour, and whole tour was less than an hour. I hear the Movies were good, but we've seen them all. Never going back unless on real tour. Extremely disappointing.. No camera's or Video's allowed. Besides, way too dark. You cannot see. Expensive all together for what we got. and we were sick next day after so many people breathed in our face. Wear a facial mask to protect from germs. Lots of workers and chilly conditions can make for cold and flu season. Not fun.

6 of us went to Sloss Fright Furnace last night, October 14 and had a blast. Our group was kept together (i was worried about that). The furnace trail had quite a few startles and kool scenery. Plus 3 d and some kind of spinning tunnel thats freaky to walk thru. also the 2nd trail wuz just about 4 dollars more, went thru some woods was scary and we went down a long dark slide thats great. Only thing is its dark in the woods in places and my girlfriend tripped once. Goin again next week!!!

The new woods trail is hyped up to be something scary and fun. While waiting in line for an hour and a half, I watched various people come off the trail. Some were running as fast as they could, screaming, while others were laughing. I went with my sweetie and we were not impressed. The decorations were not well thought out and they looked cheap. There was nothing scary about this trail, although the two teenagers ahead of us seemed to think so. Lame and not worth going through for free. The Sloss main was very good and we were both surprised and caught off guard several times. One thing I do not like is how the actors get up in your face and breathe on you. When someone is close enough to the side of your face that you can smell their breath it is too close.
