We look forward to this event every year. Tim Allen, a hometown product didn't disappoint. Many many years ago Tim Allen worked for my husband in a comedy club he owned in Toledo Ohio. We joked that our tickets for Tim cost more than Tim was paid way back in the day! We loved the music, loved seeing Florine and of course love our treasured Paul W.....all Detroit products! It was wonderful to see all the generosity in the room for one of the best charities in town. We also won the silent auction tickets to see Tim Allen in Vegas this year and are so very excited for a second opportunity to see him. Very much looking forward to your 2019 event!

I don't have many heroes in life. But Tim Allen is one of them. I remember the night "Home Improvement" premiered. I had my 6-pack, a pot of chili and pan full of hotdogs. Best show, best series in the history of television, hands down. Tim has given men permission to be guys again, not the sissyfied wussies hollywood jerks have made men into on other shows. "Tim Taylor" was a guy who was FAR from perfect, but didn't let that stop him from being confident and a "guy." Tim Allen's stand-up routine was a little more raw than I would have hoped. There were more "g-d dams" and f-bombs than necessary. I'm no prude, and I use that language at times, but it seemed like Tim was forcing about 3 or 4 times more than necessary. Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy were some of the first to use this type of comedy and it worked great for them. But I just think Tim Allen is hilarious without most of that. Regardless, I would recommend this show to anyone who likes good, in-your-face comedy. Tim Allen is the best!

Tim Allen was terrific! Even when the lights came on the venue due to a security issue and the sound system stopped. Tim just shouted his stuff, and then he was handed a mega phone. After a few more minutes, the lights and sound systems were restored. He is must see!

Fire alarm went off. Sound went out. Long wait before it came back on. Less then an hour on stage. Not worth the price. Funny but needs a longer set.

The show was great, the opening act was very funny and I am looking forward to more from him. Tim was very funny through the entire show. Even the fire alram went off and the mic cut off, but instead of getting off the stage, he continued to make the most of it. He would shout for everyone to hear him and do jokes that weren't even part of his normal act. They even got a megaphone out for him and he just kept it going. The mic was off for about 10 mins and as soon as the mic turned back on, he kept going wit his normal act. I rate this show 5 stars, 2 thumbs up. I cannot wait to see him again one day.

Not only was Tim funny, but we thought the 'warm-up' comedian was funny too. Even when someone opened the wrong 'fire' door and the lights came on and mic shut off, Tim was great. He had to improvise a little and we still laughed. When the lights came back on, he got right back on track. The only problem I had with the whole evening was finding the 'Sound Board' in the casino. It was our first time there and we weren't sure where we were going. But once there...all was well. We loved it.

We're big Tim Allen fans, and were really looking forward to seeing him. Tim kept saying he was happy to be back in Detroit, but he didn't seem like it. It seemed like his heart wasn't in it. He was amusing, but seemed unprepared, almost like he was "phoning it in". His routine seemed disorganized and disjointed. We still enjoyed it , but were disappointed with his lack of energy and enthusiasm. The opening act, Lowell Sanders, was actually much funnier than Tim. We would have liked to hear more from him. We brought a group of 20 people, and this was the concensus opinion.

Regardless of your politics, Tim is an amazing talent. He makes you laugh, think about your childhood, family and the world. This is the second concert of Tim Allen I've seen. The last one was 20 years ago and he still makes me laugh. I would recommend his concert to everyone.

We were big fans of Tim Allen in his many past shows such as tool time and others plus movies such as Santa Claus the movies. We always have liked Tim Allen and appreciate the fact that he was performing on behalf of Forgotten Harvest. However, his comedy show was very disappointing! It was for charity, there were some young boys in attendance, and the show was terrible. We would never have bought the tickets to attend if we had known in advance what kind of show it turned out to be. Sooooo many ‘F-bombs! Plus the fact Tim kept taking the Lords name in vain! I would estimate only about half the crowd laughed at the ‘jokes . You don t have to be so foul mouthed, vulgar, and use blasphemy, to be funny! We left early and very disappointed. $88+ for each ticket and not enjoy the show. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. Too bad!

Tim Allen is a very funny man! I laughed very hard at all of his stories and jokes. However, he was disappointing with his use of language that was unnecessary and did not make him any funnier because of it. He has been one of my favorites for years and I was a little surprised that he chooses to pepper his show with words that are unfamiliar to fans from the shows he has humored us with over the years. While we enjoyed the show, it would have been just as entertaining if he had left the swear words at the door.

Tim Allen is, without a doubt, a very funny stand-up comic. I've watched all of his movies and was a long-time Home Improvement fan. I first saw him at Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, WA last year. He went on, in his hilarious fashion, his hatred for kids (his, yours, mine, everyone's!), how he shot Grannie with a BB gun, God and the Angels creating the fart out of a rusty trombone, and many other side splitting anecdotes from his younger days and movie experiences. Having said that, watching it for the second time, the luster was a little tarnished. Having gone just the year prior, and loving every minute of it, we were excited to see what new material he brought to the stage. We were a little disappointed when he recycled nearly the same routine, word for word, again this year. We went all out and bought front row seats in the VIP section so we could see him up close, but even that excitement seemed less than anticipated during the actual show, as it was the same feeling of watching your favorite movie for the second time in a row, just a few seats closer. His routine would have done itself more justice had he incorporated different (new!) material and had engaged with the audience a little more. All in all, Tim is still a great comic, and we might consider a little more before we spend money to watch him in person again, but as he continues to recycle his artfully crafted jokes and dialog, it is unfortunate that he may find smaller and smaller venues at which to entertain.

My boyfriend and I just got back form Las Vegas.. while we were there we saw Tim Allen standup at the Venetian. The venue was great, more of an intimate setting but had breathing room for everyone. The tickets were reasonably priced, especially for what you get! There wasn't a 'bad' seat anywhere. We area both from Michigan and both grew up watching Tim Allen on Home Improvement and in various movies and shows and were very excited to see him live. We saw the show on a Saturday night and it was a full house. The opening act, forgot his first name ( xxx Sanders — I'm sorry) was hilarious and set the tone for the show. Tim Allen himself was awesome! He discussed a variety of topics and had everyone laughing. It felt good to laugh like that!! Many of the topics he discussed people of any age could relate to, and dealt with real life issues and occurrences. The way he delivered his entire show, and this bit in particular was on point! Very funny. My boyfriend and I absolutely recommend anyone to go see the show. Tim Allen was great and I love his old school morale and outlook on life. Near and dear to me = ) You would be missing out if you didn't see him standup at the Venetian.

Way too much vulger, distasteful, and negative language. I would expect this from some comedians because that is how they appear in "real life". It was like he was trying to prove that he is not the decent, funny, normal person that he appears to be. Totally disappointed.

After looking forward to seeing Tim Allen for six months, my husband and I were disappointed he felt it necessary to use f--ck every other word. The couple sitting next to my husband walked out 40 minutes into the show. He ranted about hating kids --"the f--cking little bas--rds." Apparently forgetting ::::his audience for Toy Story, The Santa Claus and more. The opening act was hilarious but Tim Allen was not.

Watched Tim Allen for years on TV. Bought "Home Improvement" DVD's. Didn't expect him to be as clean as he is on TV but this was absolutely ridiculous! I work in a factory and hear bad language everyday but from the 1st sentence this would make my coworkers blush. I realize this is common with alot of comedians but I know Tim Allen can be funny without all that bad language. If this represents what "Forgotten Harvest" uses to raise funds I'm sorry I donated all that I did already and will never donate to that organization again. All that being said, the Fox Theatre is an outstanding venue and every worker I came in contact with was friendly and professional. High compliments to Fox!!!

Always been a Tim Allen fan, and laughed alot, but using the Lord our God s name in vain ruIned this show for me and many others i spoke with. I would highly recomend if the foul language was cleaned up and no using God s name in vain please for the sake of judgement day.... we all sinners, but this one is easy to correct. Thankful God forgives when we ask, but dont keep repeating the same sin knowingly. Please look into on your own- dont take my word for it- check what God says about it. Tim Allen s performance was reminiscent of an cranky old man ranting about the good old days when people rode bikes without helmets, didn t wear seatbelts, and shot their relatives with B.B. guns. Not only that, he complained about his movie and tv career not being what he really wanted to do, which was standup. Cry me a river. Nobody forced you to take those millions to be in those shows.

Definitely a gifted storyteller, Tim Allen shared bits from all aspects of his life as well as his funny and unique takes on the world we live in. My takeaway (totally tongue in cheek)- he loves kids, California and Twitter . Seriously, I highly recommend this entertaining show!

We were extremely disappointed with the amount of language and inappropriate content.

Second time I have seen Tim live. Huge Tim Allen Fan. Hilarious but don't go if you dont like bad language. Tim is a fabulous story teller. Will see him again for a 3rd time if he comes anywhere close. The FOX Theatre is an amazing place also. Great seats and comfortable. Was easy to find also.

Nice to finally see Tim Allen in a comedy show. I also have supported Forgotten Harvest for quite a few years. A worthy cause. I hope that a lot of money was raised. The choir that started the show was a nice surprise for everyone.

Very enjoyable evening while helping raise money for Forgotten Harvest. Tim Allen was outstanding the show was very funny and I'm sure to make this a yearly event. Just wish there was something like it in Toledo, Ohio.

Love love love Tim Allen. Love his sit coms and movies, I don't however love his stand up. The Fox is a beautiful venue, I cant wait to go see a different show there.

The Fox is an Amazing Venue. But Tim Allen was totally an inappropriate choice for The Forgotten Harvest Charity Event. While the content of his show was okay, his delivery was filled to the Max with obscenities. So much so, that people were walking out. I am not a prude, but ..... I was shocked and did not expect this type of show for this type of event. Just my opinion
