Acadiana Symphony Orchestra

I am a Loong time Eagles fan and wasn't sure what to expect. It was fabulous!!! The music was fantastic, the vocals amazing!!! They did not miss a note!!! I love the Eagles but this was wonderful!!! Go if you have the chance.

Thoroughly enjoyed this symphony. I would highly recommend this show to everyone. The Heymann Center is the perfect venue for this and all other shows!!

The recitation of the "Grinch who Stole Christmas" was great! All the music was unbelievable, but the "Grinch..." made the evening!

The combination of the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and talented Firebird dancers made the night unforgettable. Please provide more opportunities where the orchestra and dancers are combined. If you do, we will be there!!!!

Great show, I'm the art's coordinator for my family,as in "grandpa might take you, go ask him". But really I took 2 granddaughters 3 and 13 and one of their friends to see this show and instead of a nice nap the show was great! Even the little one had a blast.

Incredibly moving. I had to remember to breathe!! The only other performance I can remember that would be comparable is Carmina Burana. I hope the Baton Rouge Symphony decides to perform it there with the collaboration of the Acadiana Symphony. I will buy a ticket and travel to Baton Rouge so I can experience it again.

The ASO is always a sure thing, but this was such a wonderful idea combining two of the world's favorite things: Music and Disney. The maestro was wonderful, the viewers really felt like part of the show when he explained how his job works before conducting. The orchestra played without error, and incorporating the children was a very refreshing thing to see. Thank you for money well spent!

This was an incredible experience. The orchestra was very well rehearsed, and the students in the choir who participated had excellent tone.

I love the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra. The conductor is great, a real music pedagogue. The pieces were varied and very well interpreted.

The Atchafalaya Symphony honoring the Evangeline Area Boy Scout was wonderful and well orchestrated. Thank you for this honor!

If you have never seen the Acadiana Symphany you must go.

We enjoyed the symphony, " Cirque de la Symphonie" very much. The orchestra sounded wonderful and the circus acts were thrilling and coordinated beautifully. It was a very festive event and well attended. My only comment is that since so many children were there, I think the Maestro could have spoken more to the kids as did Leonard Bernstein during the concerts for young people. The music played in between circus acts was lovely, but long for a youth audience. We did not have children with us, but were surrounded by kids of all ages and experienced their restlessness. I'm not sure if children were encouraged to attend this performance or not, but I think they were, considering the number there. I think this was a very successful event and hope that more will follow with this creativity.

To think that there is so much talent in this area is unbelievable. Mariusz Smolij is such a wonderful conductor along with the orchestra, guest solists and the choir. Everyone from Grandma to my ten year old son enjoyed the performance. It was a wonderful night of music.

Great Performance...... Wanted more from Zac and Sonny.

I couldn't wait to get to this concert. Had purchased my tickets in advance to insure good seats. I grew up with Elton John's music and have not found anyone who can match his style and talent. His mastery is truly a God-given gift. I was able to see him once in a live performance. If I would have closed my eyes while listening to this concert, I would not have been able to tell he wasn't there except for the singing voice being different. The music was beautifully performed just as it is heard on my LP's. Awesome performance!
