Caspian is one of those bands that gives me goosebumps every time I see them. Their performance is so tight and on point and the music is so beautifully orchestrated. They just get better as time goes on and they pour their soul into their shows. One of the best instrumental bands out there.

What an amazing show. I love Caspian's music because it's beautifully atmospheric and yet so incredible engaging. This was my first time seeing them live, and I was completely blown away. The members of band are so in sync with each other, and their passion for the music comes through in the way they speak to the audience, the way they interact with each other, and the way they play their instruments. I also appreciated how humble the band was in interacting with the audience. They clearly appreciate their fans and our being there to see them. Do yourself a favor, and see Caspian live. The show was truly transcendent.

Opening for Caspian has to be very tough. But these two bands although hand picked by Caspian weren't on the level of say 60 Days of Static (which were opening for them last time I saw them here) The Caspian set was truly stunning in its breadth and how it purposely included the best new songs with older ones and classics. The energy these guys create on stage is so intense, it is awesome to witness. Awe is the only word that comes to mind. At the same time, they are humble and personable. With all the family and friends they had in the audience they found a way to make it feel special and not another date in a packed final tour week. It's the compositions and live orchestration that puts this band on another level from their peers. The sonic power they generate isn't just a matter of volume. (Don't forget your ear plugs though...) this band creates a beautiful storm of music. And it's that intensity that made the folks who started moshing look out of place. This is not a party or a celebration (even if we had a quick happy birthday rendition for one of their friends during a tuning break) No a Caspian show is more like a dark mass or looking at a sunset over the ocean. It makes you feel truly privileged to be present and to witness such mastery.

The Royale has probably the best sound system in Boston. The place is great, this show wasn't sold out, but even when The Royale sells out, its great to be able to MOVE AROUND... this is the only place that doesn't completely slam pack their venue (which is wayyy against safety regs) Anyway, O Brother were great, Moving Mountains were AMAZING. Caspian were typical... OFF THE CHARTS. Great show, the only downer is the Royale needs to get their shit together with a parking lot. Yes, its Boston, but if you're going to be putting on concerts that are over by 930pm, then get better parking than $25. thanks. Peace.

Both the Appleseed Cast and Caspian were fantastic on Friday! I hadn't heard of the Appleseed Cast before this show, but I can see why Caspian count them as a direct influence. Their music is forceful and epic-ly melodic/lyrical in the same was as Caspian's. Caspian never wavered across their entire set. While it was consistently, palpably loud, the expressiveness in each song created a warmth you don't get from just turning up the volume. Can't say enough about the masterful musicianship, and quality of the show! Definitely, one of the best bands out there!

What a great show. They are a perfect tight rehearsed band. They have a true fan base that supports. They are a must see on any tour.

Caspian having played Bowery Ballroom times previous has always put on a great show but this first sold out night at Bowery was a special evening, marking the continued growth and success of the band. They were more polished than ever before, combining an intricate set list of songs old and new to create an atmospheric sound for a constant heart pounding 70 minutes.

Caspian was good, but for a band with three guitars, I expected a bit more. I didn t like either opener, so I take a point off for that too.

Caspian is a tremendous force to be reckoned with when seen live. These guys have mastered their craft of powerful post rock, guitar heavy ballads. I can't wait to see them again!
