Valentine Concert

This concert was absolutely amazing. I could not have asked for a more enjoyable night. every act was incredible! The night was magical and what capped it off was the accessibility of the artist afterwards.

This was an amazing concert. To have Kirk Whalum, Gerald Albright, Peter White and Jeff Golub all in one setting was a fantastic way to celebrate Valentines Day. I had a wonderful time. They prepared dinner prior to concert which was very good. They gave all the ladies a long stem red rose,which was great if your significant other forgor to get you roses. I had wonderful seats in the second row right in the middle. It was like Gerald was playing to me. Now we started out with Michael Franks and what can I say he sang my favorite song "Pop Sickle Toes". The Venue Long Beach Terrace Theater was a beautiful place, the seats were comfortable and their were 3 fully stocked bars in the lobby. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give this concert a 15.

The music was great, and the performances of the artist, spectacular. Plenty of time was given each performer and they used every bit of it wisely.

I took my husband to this show for his birthday because he loves jazz and is a big Peter White fan. I had never heard of the other artists. Wow! They were all incredible, individually and together. It was truly a fabulous evening. I would highly recommend this show.

What a way to spend a Valentine's Day weekend. Michael Franks sings the sweetest love songs and then followed up with Kirk, Gerald, Peter & Jeff rocking the house. It definitely got everyone up and moving and the Terrace Theater is the ultimate format to see any performer.

Michael Started out and was ok, But after intermission Kirk Whalum and Gerald Albright were unbelievable.

They were great.... funny, fantastic players, and great camraderie

Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum and Peter White made the concert for us. They were very interactive and funny with the audience. Although I enjoy Michael Franks singing, I did not like that his group was dressed so casual. It looked like they kept what they had on from a rehearsal session or something.

It was wonderful to see a concert start on time. I liked the two part format. Michael Franks eased us into the evening with his smooth Jazz sound and he was who I came to see anyway. Then to witness a jam session between friends is always a treat. The only problem I had with the concert was that I could not understand what anyone said when the spoke into the mike. The sound was really muffled.

I enjoyed the show and definitely would see all of them again. Franks has been my favorite since age 13. Love the saxes & it has always been my favorite instrument - I'm now quite fond of P. White & J. Golub. Perfect match & I love the way they compliment one another.

Great concert. I would have love to have seen each artest perform their own set, and also have an encore song to leave you going home in a party mood.

Well worth the price. The performers gave their all! Micheal Franks was terrific...even though he didn't sing my favorite song "soul mate" but when you have so many hit songs I guess you can't sing them all. Kirk, Gerald, Peter and Jeff know how to entertain. They were hot! It was a great night.

I missed the first 20 minutes of Michael Franks. I wish he would have been the last act, but the ENTIRE show was amazing. These artists gave their very best and really engaged the crowd. We were all singing in unison a few times. The only downer of the evening was during intermission. My husband and I are not drinkers and the concession stand opened for coffee for about five people before they realized it was time for them to close. A lot of us were super bummed, so it was the concession's BAD, not the artists for sure.

Smooth Jazz, evening full of romantic tunes, cool mix of artists in one electric show!

The entire concert was great. Kirk and Gerald where exceptional I love every minute. Michael Franks was excellent as well.

Best concert I have ever been to. There was so much talent it was hard to absorb it all. I can hardly wait to hear them again.

Great show, a little hard to hear the Artist when speaking to the crowd, but once the noise from the audience calmed down, then you could understand better. The music was exceptionally great. Kirk Whalum and Gerald Albright are excellent Sax players, Peter White and Jeff Golub played exceptionally well also. I enjoyed this concert to the fullest. The four on stage together was a real TREAT........

This event was SO much fun; was NOT dissappointed at all. Great group performance and their musical talent is out of this world. Will definately attend again and make it a tradition.

I felt the show was done Impeccably . The melding on such amazing musical talents was genius. I would pay to see the same show again. Kudos, you guys hit a Homerun on this one.

The concert was simply AMAZING!! Guitars & Saxes 2011 was everything I thought it would be & more!! I would pay to see them again & again!

The music was on point - the energy was amazing and the venue was fabulous. It was a great start to a wonderful pre Valentine's Day celebration. It certainly brought back a lot of memories listening to Michael Frank's romantically "double entendre'" songs. And guitars and sax players: Whalum, Albright, White and Golub were off the chain! Would definitely go back next year.

The entire night was magical. The music was crystal clear. The venue was perfect. I suggest the management of the Long Beach Terrace schedule more staff to service patrons during intermission. I suggest the management offer a coat/hat check service for the patrons

What a great evening, the venue was great and the musicians perfect. Michael Frank's voice still sounds good and brings back so many memories. Guitars & Sax players are always a hit, they really turned it on tonight. Loved Jeff Golub, Peter White, Gerald Albright and Kirk Whalum, we were all standing and singing out loud. Great show, great evening.

I HAVEN'T BEEN TO A CONCERT IN SOME TIME... I MUST SAY THAT I'M GLAD THAT I ATTENDED THIS ONE. THE LONG BEACH TERRACE THEATER WAS INTIMATE AND THE ATMOSPHERE WAS SPECIAL...ADULT. EACH ARTIST WAS IN THEIR OWN ELEMENT AND ALSO GOT TOGETHER AS A GROUP IT WAS GREAT. THIS EXPERIENCE HAS MADE ME PROMISE TO DO THIS AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH.

My friend and I enjoyed the VIP dinner and the great seats at the concert.

This concert was a jazz lovers dream.... Great venue, excellent line up and flawless performances! Bravo!!!!!

Michael Frank was great with his smooth, mellow sounds. Then Peter White, Kirk Whalum, Jeff Golub and Gerald Albright were full of energy, brought back memories, and had us up and partying. We had the best time and left feeling, refreshed and energized.

My Baby and I have been talking about the show since Saturday night. That was great entertainment and we had fun. The musicians were incredible. Micheal Franks, "smooooth!". The guys K. Whalum, J. Golub, G. Albright and P. White did their thing!!!! Excellent show!

The concert was everything I know it would be and more. Been a fan of Gerald Albright a long time, but the other guys were just as great. Love listening to Peter White, but seeing him live elevated him to a new level on my radar. Just a great concert.

From the moment I could hear the performance as I entered the building of Michael Franks, followed my Peter WHite, Gerald Albright, Kirk Whalum and Jeff Loeber, I was in heaven.

The show was awesome. I kicked it with them last year while they were at Thornton Winery in Temecula, CA. Awesome musicians. Would go kick it with them anywhere. Jeff plays that guitar like it's talking to you? Oh my my my. The title Blink Of An Eye, I tell you, that's a melody that gets to you heart and soul. Love Kirk and Gerald too. Gerald, I love when he raises that left knee....lol. He's cool. Kirk I admire him. I admire them all. I grew up with Michael. Popsicle Toes brought back lots of memories. He has a distinctive voice i love to listen to over and over. A song He sang was a pretty one that I haven't heard before. So I will search for it. By all means, the guys were just great.

The way Gerald Albright talk to his audience with that instrument is "AMAZING" I am taken back each and every time I see him; every time I hear him play. He is unbelievably the best of the best and this is no exaggeration.

It's was a valentines day weekend that was top off with a great performance from some outstanding guys. I love the collaboration of the four guys on stage at the same time.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MICHAEL. He needs to do more concerts. At least do the circuit twice a year. I don't know why Michael doesn't have a room full of awards. Why don't someone nominate him. Don't worry Michael, we love you all the same. Keep doing what you do best with those lovely pipes of yours.

The 2nd half of the show with Kirk Whalum, Gerald Albright, Peter White and Jeff Golub was off the chain. My husband and I had a great time. Both of us agree that Michael Frank was given too much time. My husband was very disappointed with his show. He said everything sounded the same. Next time give him only fifteen minutes max.

Awesome concert for the serious jazz lover. What a nice way to incorporate five (5) excellent musicians in one night! Fantastic! Do it again soon. Thanks.

A fantastic concert with the best of the best in Smooth Jazz. Great venue and well oraganized. The concert was put on like clock work not a wasted second.

Truly a lover's concert with lots of music that made you want to dance with your lover or just sit close and hold one another. Awesome Show
