School of Rock - The Musical (Chicago)

Took my 19 year old daughter who is a semi theater/musical fan. She loved it. The talent of these young people is outstanding. everyone should get a chance to enjoy this show!

I took my 10 Year old daughter. She goes to the School of Rock but had no idea what the musical was. She loved it and that kids like her were actually playing onstage!

Loved School of Rock. Had great dress circle seats. Kids who play all the instruments and sing were fantastic. I saw lots of children in the audience who really enjoyed the show. Catchy songs. Highly recommended.

Very entertaining and lively. Will recommend especially for aspiribg young talents for them to see.

You have to take time to go see School of Rock! It was just like I remembered the movie! The music was awesome and the acting on point! Those kids were so talented between their great voices and how talented they were on their instruments. I would definitely go see this again. It was a great evening.

The kids in it were amazing and it brought out a lot of young kids to watch the show.

I wasn t sure what to expect from this show. Once I attended I decided it was not bad, but I was disappointed that they did not dedicate more time to let the kids shine. Clearly the children are very talented musicians, I really wish they would have allowed more showcasing and celebrated them. Just my personal wish.

All I need to say is that this play rocked! Everything about it from the adult actors to the amazing kid actors, the music, the set, the venue!! Absolutely would recommend this play to everyone of every age!! LOVE!

This was by far one of the best musical productions I have attended.

Stereotypes placed on children, jokes done in poor taste, a disgusting un-likable main character that gets kudos for doing nothing spectacular. This musical was so awful had I not been there with a group of people I would of walked out for sure. I cringed so many times at the terrible humor that was tacky and inappropriate. I also HATED how Patty who was a strong female who obviously had worked for the success in her life was portrayed as a nagging annoyance and Dewey who was whiny and free-loader was the hero. It was just bad all around.

If you liked the movie- you will love the musical! The kids are so talented and funny!

School of Rock is a must see. Each and every actor had amazing voices. The child actors had unbelievable talent. Dewey made the show. The young lady who played the shy child who sang Amazing Grace and the performance solo knocked the vocals out of the park.

Excellent!!!! Wanted to go back and see it again. Loved everything! The kids were very talented and fabulous. Everyone did a fantastic job! Go see it, you will not be disappointed. Will see it again for sure.

The Musical was so great that I quickly purchased seven tickets for children and grandchildren for the Saturday matinee. Captivating,entertaining and fun

The show was very delightful. The humor was great. We had the understudy Dewey, and he did great in the role. The kids were enchanting. A good mix of the class nerds!

The entire case - but especially the kids - were engaging, talented, and extremely fun to watch. The music was excellent, the dialogue updated and fresh, and the kids playing in the band were wonderful. A great cast with a great message about parenting and letting kids be kids.

Very enjoyable and a fun show attend. I thought Jack BlackJr. with better pipes had shown up. The kids were amazing.

I took my 80 year old mother and 10 year old son to see School of Rock. They were both laughing so much. Great performances by the entire cast. Bravo!!

My friend invited to watch the show and it was awesome! It may not be like classic ones but the performers are great! Especially the kids, they are amazing and talented!

Great music with a fantastic cast, some extremely talented young people

School of Rock was not the typical Broadway Performance my family and I'm used to attending, normally a lot of glitz and glam. The storyline was similar to the movie and extremely enjoyable. The actors and actresses were incredible as well as the young actors and actresses as musicians and vocalists...they should be so proud of themselves, as I'm sure their parents are as well. It would be nice to know their ages. Even though the scenery wasn't glitzy, it was appropriate for the show. The show is "any" age appropriate, but I would recommend being aware of the storyline prior to attending the show. Guests attending with me were appreciative for my recommendation to watch the movie prior to attending, guests in my group that had not seen the movie stated they struggled with the storyline at the beginning of the show but it did come together as the show moved along. Our seats were in the Dress Circle rows B and C and we had a wonderful view of the entire stage, plus the sound was amazing.

This musical is a blast! It is just as funny, if not funnier than the movie and the level of talent among the kids is amazing. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves music and live theatre! Great fun!

The play turned out to be better than I expected, I have a tendency to compare it to the movie, which I loved. The musical talent of the youngsters was particularly enjoyable. Our hats off to the whole cast, we had a very enjoyable experience.

I received a call from Broadway in Chicago and the person told me that there was a problem with the seat I purchased so they moved me to a better seat! They moved me to orchestra center, 7 rows from the stage!!! Which was awesome!!!! Awesome service by Ticketmaster and BIC!!! The show was awesome!!!! The cast was great! and the kids are sooooo talented!!!!!!! :)

Hands down the BEST musical that I have ever seen.

My girlfriend and I attended School of Rock Saturday night. It was absolutely rockin'! We loved every second of it, and every song. All the actors were great. The kids were spectacular.

Families favorite movie enjoyed in a musical! So great! Only negative we re our seats. Thought they d be better.

School of Rock was entertaining and inspiring because of the young and talented performers, but the theater experience was lacking. Multiple show interruptions to seat late theater goers (even though there were lots of empty seats in the back two rows), ushers with bright flashlights up and down the aisles during quiet scenes, ushers loudly snacking throughout the show, audience cell phone disruptions\u2014 just too much to endure during an expensive theater experience.

Quite possibly the worst musical of this millennium. Mostly mediocre performances from the adults and most of the kids went in and out of tune. I could tolerate some of that if the lyrics and music weren't so bad.

I wish I had not seen the original movie before experiencing this show because Jack Black just has no equal. The kids in this adaptation really steal the show with their amazing talent. It is a fun night at the theater, and the last scene leaves you feeling like you were also cast in the show. Definitely see this show!

Just an AWESOME show with great talent and great musicians that's a fun night for all ages! I saw the show on Broadway and the National Tour Show of School of Rock is just as strong!

If you're a fan of the movie or a rock fan, it's a great time. Good music, good performances (the lead is an excellent stand-in for Jack Black). Great work with set designs. And the kids play their own instruments live on stage. There might be some language here and there, but all things said, it's a great show to bring kids to.

We were in Chicago and were looking for something to see and thought this musical looked ok. We were all surprised how amazing it was. We loved every second! I typically find musicals to drag on a bit, but this one was great throughout. You must see it!

Heartwarming, fun and good music. Loved this. The sound was not the best when singing the rock music...couldn't fully understand the words. but it may have been where I was sitting. I Loved it!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed School of Rock. The Musical was well written and performed. The children were phenomenal and I recommend taking your child to see it, especially if they are into music or play an instrument.

Hands down best musical we have seen in a while. If you like the movie, you will LOVE the musical. Entire cast is incredibly talented but the children are exceptional. We were blown away by their musical abilities at such a young age. It was difficult not to tap and sing along because it was a rocking good time!

The premise is kind of silly, just like the movie, but the kids really bring it, they are all playing instruments or singing making a very enjoyable night of theater.

If you are a fan of the movie you will love the play.

This show was so entertaining for all ages. Knowing that the kids actually played their own instruments made it that much more enjoyable. Great show for families or as an introduction to theater for kids. PARENTS: Kids would enjoy this show but please make sure they can sit through a 2 1/2 hour show. Some kids in front of us got restless and moved so much it was annoying.

This show was outstanding and a really great time. The lead was hilarious and the kids mega talented. I was on the fence to even see this show and I'm so glad I did. Very, very good show!

One of thee most fun plays I've seen in years. The cast was phenomenal!
