The play was amazing, from being funny, to great vocals all the way to the message. Very on point. I am glad I took my man to see it, he was tired of me saying mmmmmmm!.lollll. I almost got in trouble when the gentleman had no shirt on.."Jesus take the wheel"..loll. The only thing I didn't like is that it was only for two days, so when I posted it on my Instagram and Facebook people were disappointed that they couldn't see it...

In love Jaycarous Johnson's plays & this one was no exception. This was one of the funniest I've seen. I drove to DC to see it. I'm hoping that it comes to Baltimore so I can see it again! Carl Payne from Martin is hilarious & I loved that Chrissette did her own songs. I Highly recommend seeing it.

I was excited to see this play along with two other friends. The promotional clips about the play along with the cast made it a must see despite the price (more than Tyler Perry). After the show was over, we were all disappointed. The title does not relate to the play, the description of the play during the promotional ads was incorrect and it was short compared to other plays I have seen (I am a play fanatic). Unfortunately, a number of people that sat around us had the same complaints. I must say that there was a lot of laughter but when the actual plot was revealed, we were disappointed.

I've always enjoyed plays in particular Je'Caryous Johnson's productions. I've seen a few of his plays. My husband liked this one the best. Great cast! However I felt the title "Married but Single" was a little misleading...maybe it's just me but from the promo's it "sounded" like it would be about married couples behaving as if they're single and struggling with their relationship, temptations, etc. It did however explore the issues of the main characters, but more so of a couple having issues moving their relationship forward. The other 2 characters who were married to other people did touch on the subject of infidelity but that wasn't the main focus. As mentioned it was mainly about the main characters dealing with going from single to married.

The play was wonderful! I just wish I had ordered my tickets earlier for better seats. I could see ok, but would have liked to be closer to the stage. The actors all played their parts well. On a scale of 1 - 5 stars I give it a 10.

My wife and I enjoyed the play and thought all the performers did well. I really enjoyed seeing Cole from Martin because he was part of my childhood. My only criticism would be that the title didnt fit the actual play. There was only one married couple in the entire play and they werent even the main couple!!!!

Overall, the play was entertaining. But, I think some of the scenes from the Washington DC- March 12 5:30pm show that I attended were cut out. Chrissette Michelle's character's storyline was incomplete. She or the other married guy never appeared in the second half. Our show started late, but it seemed that the end was rushed. It would be nice if Ticketmaster or Jecaryous Johnson would have offered a partial refund for those of us, who did not get the entire experience, that was either due to the venue or Jecaryous Johnson's lack of timing. Especially since, I personally felt that the 8pm show could have been delayed, just as the 5:30pm show had been. I also didn't understand why the title was *Married but Single" but maybe it was because some of the scenes were deleted.

The play was hilarious! The cast did an excellent job! The music was amazing! The plot was great! Carl Anthony Payne kept me laughing throughout the entire play! The only thing that confused me was the media definitely introduced the play differently. The radio previews seem to give a different perception of the plot. Regardless, the play was really, really good!

The play overall was decent however, I was disappointed. The actual play was not reflective of how it was advertised. The acting was great but the script was somewhat childish. I have seen JJs work before and he can do much better. All & all, I love supporting us but because of the commercial description I went with my spouse and this one is more suited for a girls night out...

The play was just okay because we went to the 5:30 pm show at the Warner Theater and the play started late because of a earlier show (2:00 pm) ran over and our show (5:30 pm) was cut short so that the 8:00 pm show would start on time. Therefore, leaving us feeling and knowing that some parts were cut short because some scenes (Chrisette Michelle) weren't closed out as advertised. I really enjoy plays; however, we were VERY DISAPPOINTED especially since we paid $179.00 for two tickets (includes service charge, fees, etc). Not sure if I will go see a Je'Caryous Johnson play EVER again.

Overall the play was cool, but it did't match the title. I thought based on the title it would focus more on the married people out here that's lying and cheating talking about "i'm separated" or "I live with my roommate" knowing dag on well they married!

The play was amazing. I really enjoyed the liveliness & energy of the cast members. And it was perfect considering I'm getting married in June. The best concept I got from the play was instead of stepping out on your husband/wife or giving up on your marriage through the hard times, you both should pray and ask God for guideness. All of the actors did great, and Chrisette definitely gave me chills when she sang her songs. Great job to the writer as well.

So, the play was extremely overrated and more suited for small playhouses. This is no reflection on the actors/actresses they worked with what they had. The title doesn't reflect what the main theme of the play is about. There was 1 five minute episode whereby the characters were married with the women wanting to have an affair and the married man didn't. After that it was about a woman trying convince/show her boyfriend what he would be missing if didn't "step up to the plate" a.k.a. marry her. There is no substance in the story line. Also the seating at Warner is terrible for the price of their tickets.

I finally got to see a play by Je'Caryous Johnson live instead of on DVD. I have always wanted to see a live production by this playwright since I saw "Maintenance Man. The Play was fanatastic. It show various relationships not only between the lovers but even among friends. It showed what happens when friends become jealous but to understand and forgive is very powerful. It was also funny and you could see that the cast interact will with each other. Lisa Raye McCoy was good in the lead role and love Chrisette Michele songs. The most memorable character was "the pimp" played by Carl Payne. Actually his role is so valuable I don't thnk the play would have been as a good! This play was amazing and I would recommend everyone to see this and any other play this writer produces.

the play was soul searching, it reminds you of your faith in God, but it also let you reflect on my own marriage, and see how temptation can lead you, you wrote about marriage and being single, I wrote about married and being lonely, but the story line was a good, I think that it should have show you more insight was to why she/he was married and single, I didn't understand if cresset Michelle was the married and Lisa Ray was single, or it the two character that was married and acting like they were single, doing what single people do. love, love, I tells my friends and sons they should go and see it
Married but single was a really nice play I went with my mom we both enjoyed ourselves. They play was funny as will as a learning situation I just love it & I really hope they will have a part 2
The play was great!! I am a huge fan of Je'caryous' work and was really excited to see that he was doing another play. Story line was good, but the cast was AMAZING!!!! It made for a nice evening for my husband and I.
I LOVE the play, it was non-stop laughter. Everyone should go see this play where you are married, single, man or woman. It will open your eyes not to take the small things for granted.
I loved the play. Everything was great. The story line had you hooked to the very end. Terrell Carter's singing was fantastic. Loved Lisa Raye's role and Carl Payne had us laughing from beginning to end. Love, Love, Loved it!

This play was awesome... my boyfriend wanted to go see it and immediately by the title I said to him "Why?" Don't get no ideas because when we get married it ain't going down like that!! Lol To my surprise it was not at all what the title implied. This was a great play that tackles love, relationships, friendships and commitment between lovers and married couples as well as family dynamics!! It has a strong message of what that all entails with a shocking twist at the end!! I highly recommend seeing this play!! You will not be sorry!! There's a lot of humor!!! Carl Payne is hysterical!!! Clifton Powell is fantastic as the father with thought provoking knowledge he shares!! It's powerful if your mind seeks a better understanding!! Enjoy

My husband and I attended the show as part of our wedding anniversary festivities. We saw the 5:30 pm production. While, I have never been to a Je'Caryous Johnson production, I decided, to attend based soley on the cast. Maybe my expectation was a bit too high. Sadly, I did not find the show to be a good demonstration of playwriting skill. The play left too much to be assumed. I almost felt as if we got cheated out of a scene or two...or three, so much so, that I still don't know the relevance of the title. For me, the script could've benefited from more singing ( from Chrisette Michelle specifically). There were instances where I laughed hysterically, but all in all, I did not enjoy the performance.

I must say I had reservations about going to see this play as I was only going to take my best friend for her birthday but I was very pleasantly surprised. Not only was the play awesome but the cast was incredible !!! Lisa Raye is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen with a body that could turn a straight girl, lol. And I must say Carl Payne steals the show!! He was HILARIOUS and every line was delivered to a T. Good play need to have a storyline I really didn't know what characters the play was based on. Vocals were excellent. Overall was good!
I truly enjoyed every minute of the evening once I entered the room from the old school music to the play. For me the best part of the entire night was looking at my favorite crush put on a great performance. I was tempted to get in the car and travel to the next city to see the same play the very next day.
Was expecting something different from listening to the radio adds. Only a few of the actors sung and the audio was not on point, could not hear the play well and audio had spikes in it, with high pitch squeals. It was an evening out but nothing I would recommend or go see again.
The cast was amazing and so was the script! It did not start on time and the intermission went longer than expected but other than that the play was so good that I would have seen it twice. The singing was really good, the comedy was even better and I even ran into Darrin before the play but did not approach him for a picture because I was too star-struck (bad move, I know lol). Overall, I would recommend that everyone go see this play and I look forward to more of Johnson's work in the future!
