Airbourne in my opinion stole the show, these guys are a real class act and real down to earth guys. I would really like to see them perform a whole set. 25 minutes just wasnt enough. All that remains and HIM should have been on a different tour, they didnt impress me at all. Volbeat was great as usual, these guys really rock hard. this would have been a great CO headline show with just Volbeat and Airbourne, these 2 acts were worth every penny paid for in the ticket price.......please send Airbourne back to Cinci for a full show.

Really enjoyed this event. Great group of bands. Set up and tear down times were minimal and the music kept playing. Not too crowded and the screens made it easy to see the bands. Lines for beer were way too long, though. Add Shinedown next time!!!

Loved the new bands, loved the old bands...Killer performances!! Until Buckcherry just killed anything I like about him. The music starts playing soft, he starts telling a story, I'm thinking he is going to talk about getting off drugs, how drugs are bad. Nope it was the exact opposite. Cocaine is awesome. Dude is a role model and he just told all of those kids to do drugs and hoe cool it was. My son and I left. I would have to say that Puddle of Mudd was my favorite. The concert also left me wondering.. If you wear a bands Tagore to their concert, you are "that guy". What does it make you if you are the band wearing your own shirt to your concert??

I was surprised that these bands were playing at such a small venue but I went with it! Was so much fun and the crowd was small enough that it made the experience seem a bit more personal. We got close to the stage without feeling like a sardine. I was pretty pissed that Papa Roach got cut short since I was really looking forward to hearing them! Overall, it was a good time. I would go to this venue and event again, no question.

The fact that Papa Roach was shut down at 10:30 versus 11pm is completely unacceptable. We paid to see their full set and we were jipped. Other than that though, the show was great and the venue was good. We would go there again.

RED and P.O.D were amazing, Puddle of Mudd was decent, Buckcherry was horrible. Papa Roach was amazing until the were cut off due to them having been given the wrong curfew time and not being allowed to finish their set. I will have second thoughts about buying a ticket for an outdoor venue for a concert after the outcome of this one.

The only reason I couldn't give this show 5 stars was the decision to have All That Remains perform before H.I.M. While I do believe H.I.M. put on a good show, I also believe that All That Remains blew them out of the water performance wise and it would have been much more logical to have them play third instead. Airbourne and Volbeat were exactly what I was excepting and did fantastic jobs for an opening act and a headliner, respectively. The decision to have All That Remains play second and H.I.M. play third is truly my only criticism.

AIRBOURNE- I can see how some people would not appreciate this band seeing as how they play the 80's kind of rock music. I personally enjoyed them very much. They really had awesome interaction with the crowd. Everyone got pumped up at some point in there performance. A great choice as an opening act. I think they are a talented up and coming band. All That Remains- I have seen this band perform live before and I think that they lacked just a bit at this concert. They did a great job and played awesome but they just seemed to lack that normal energy that they usually put out. They played well and kept the show rolling. H.I.M.- I would not have put them in the lineup for this tour. There music did not mesh well with the others. But even in that reguard they played well...but you could they were very off. I think the crowd reacted to that as well. They didn't put on a show like they normally do either...I feel in large part to the lead singer. Something was off about him from the get go. The crowd was disrespectful towards the end of the performance and that just isn't right. But if they put on a show with there normal caliber I think things would have been different. VOLBEAT- This is the reason I came to this concert. I had waited for a while to see them and they by far and away did not disappoint. They had the best interaction with the crowd. They had wonderful personalities. You could tell that they really love what they are doing right now. I was blown away with how well they performed live. I would go and see them again for sure with out a doubt. I think they told everyone thank you for coming out 15 times. It made you feel good to rock out with a band who truly wants you to have a good time. I think this band will continue to write awesome music and we will see them get bigger and bigger.

Airbourne - Corny and not very good sound but they are performers. High energy opening act but nothing more than that. All that Remains - Probably put on the best all around show of the 4 bands. Crowd was into them. I would pay to see this band higher up on the card with a longer set. HIM - Horrible choice for this tour. You have 3 other bands that people want to mosh and rock out to then you bring out HIM with their feminine love rock and everyone goes to sleep. The band has good sound but they are boring and so out of place with this audience that they can't do anything but fail. Expect boos. Volbeat - Solid but not spectacular. I don't think they are headline material yet. Did a great job connecting with the crowd but the performance itself was average. Band seemed happy to be there and enjoying the moment which is always great to see. Total show time was roughly 5 hours. Kick HIM off the tour and throw in a decent band that meshes with the other 3 and you have yourselves a nice little concert. As it stands it wasn't bad to go to but wouldn't hurt my feelings to miss.

All that remains had the crowd going crazy, The lead singers vocals were excellent. H.I.M s performance was flawless and by far my favorite, the audience sang along to pretty much every song. Volbeat was great too and seemed to be the crowds favorite.

Honestly, I only went to this event to finally see HIM live. I was supposed to see them earlier this summer, but they had to cancel that event. I am a little biased, as HIM is one of my favorite bands, but they, by far, put on the best performance (and they sound amazing live). Still, they didn't seem like they belonged with those bands. It was clearly evident that they were the odds one out. I found that the Volbeat fans--at least at this particular show--were rude to them, and for no reason. As for the other bands? AIrbourne was just noise to me; All That Remains were pretty good, but I had seen them before many years ago. We left during Volbeat, because all of their songs sounded the same to me.

It was an amazing show! Airborne, all that remains and volbeat are a concert you do not want to miss! The opening acts were awesome all except HIM. If they would have arranged them differently it would have been better but going from All That Remains to HIM was not a good choice. The fans were not happy and HIM lead singer walked off the stage before the song was finished. But other than that I highly recommend going and seeing at least All That Remains and Volbeat!

Overall I don't think the concert could have been more fun. It was an amazing lineup and the bands actually surprised me with some of their stage performances. My only 'suggestion' i guess you could call it would have been for Three Days Grace to be the headlining band. They, in my opinion, were the best by far and should have been the exclamation point on an awesome concert. Not that Stone Temple Pilates were bad but they just seemed a little sub par that evening. (The reason I'm on here writing this review so long after the actual concert is because I'm already looking for the next annual ROA tickets to go on sale! - and thought I'd spread the word about how awesome it was)

On Sunday Sept. 18th my wife and I went to see The Rock Of Allegiance Tour at The Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel. The place itself had so much history and the sound was the greatest. All Bands really outdone their selves with a 5 star show. Buckcherry and Papa Roach owned the stage. Even though it rained through Papa Roachs whole set it only seemed to pump the band and crowd up even more to the point where the rain was barely noticed by us at all. We always go see Buckcherry and they seemed really rested up and ready to party and their sound was perfect. This is a must go see show!!

concert was good, bands sounded great. Venue small, but so was crowd.
The main reason I was looking forward to this whole concert was so that I could finally see Volbeat (since they had to cancel at Carolina Rebellion). The entire show was phenomenal; I'm hoping that Rock Allegiance passes through this venue again next year with another kickass line-up.
Overall, the show-and all four bands-was absolutely amazing!! The music was great and the bands were spot on! The only problem I had was with some of the Volbeat fans being VERY disrespectful and confrontational when HIM was onstage.
I went to see this event solely to see HIM, and they were unforgettable. I spent a ridiculous amount of money on the tickets and I'd do it again. They played for about an hour and every song was preformed amazingly. My best friend, whom I bought the tickets for, was in awe and even got the drumstick and set list. I can't imagine a better show.
to start off you couldnt hear all that remains vocals very well , him was alright , but why in the world would you advertise a band as in airbourne to be their and they wasnt even their . thats the biggest reason this concert was a major flop would of been better if had more bands that were at least known to people maybe then it would of sold out even for a monday night.
The show opened with All That Remains who immediately got the crowd jacked up with their no nonsense brand of heavy duty rock and they played all of their best songs . Then H. I. M. took the stage. Although the weren't even in the same league as the other two bands they performed great and had a really good sound. Then the techs for VOLBEAT came out to set up and straight up rocked . After setting up the moment we were all waiting for (except for the unsuspecting teenie booper H.I.M fans) the mighty VOLBEAT came out and absolutely destroyed the special events center. The crowd was cranked to 11 and as usuall the show pro crew were stellar.
Combined ticket featuring All that Remains, HIM, and Volbeat ... went to see HIM mainly and left the venue a huge fan of ATR and Volbeat. Awesome bands and very balanced lineup of musical talent.. More shows like this would be appreciated :)
The Rock Allegiance Tour was a good show. I was dissapointed that the band Airbourne wasnt there. All the bands that played were really good. It was cool i got to meet Volbeat @ the show.
Once again Volbeat put on a stunning performance. All that remains was awesome, and that sorry excuse for a band that played in between the two was horrible as expected. I was hoping to never have to see them EVER but I did what I had to do to keep my spot on the rail...all I can say is at least it wasn't nickleback

The show was undersold and took place in the basement of the Greensboro Coliseum. I paid $50 for tickets in advance, but they were selling them for $15 each the day of the show. The first band of the line up, "Airbourne", was a no show. It appeared that "All That Remains" was using a vocal background track to lip synch with and that the drummer was using a drum machine to produce a double base beat with only one base drum. The third band, "HIM", was a skinny young bohemian dressed kid backed by awesome musicians. The final act was Volbeat, a middle aged group, who referred to their music as "church" and "our Sunday" repeatedly even though it was Monday night. Volbeat sounded like they do on the radio.

I bought tickets solely because I wanted to see Volbeat, and wow, they did not disappoint. They sounded AMAZING in person and really had the crowd going. You know how some bounds sound crappy in person-well, Volbeat is not one of them. I had the time of my life. While, I'm not a fan of HIM or All that Remains, I must admit, HIM sounded great too. "Love Metal" just isn't my thing, not is heavy metal courtesy of All That Remains. However, the fans who were there to see these bands seemed to be having a great time. So glad I went to this event!

This was all about Volbeat. Not really sure why this is a "Rock Allegiance" tour - this is Volbeat with a couple warmup bands. It was pretty annoying that the first band advertised wasn't even there. Maybe they had a good reason, but the thing is, no official at the event had even heard there were supposed to be 4 bands. Kind of a ripoff, since that's the band I wanted to see second most. The acoustics in the venue (not main coliseum - this was a secondary stage venue) were not very good. Hard to tell when All That Remains just didn't sound that great. HIM was slightly better. I'd heard that they were kind of weak. It's true they didn't have the same energy as the other bands, but musically they were more together. Doesn't matter. It was all about Volbeat. They were fantastic. One of the best bands I've ever seen. I love it when a band really knows how to play, and shows the crowd they really want to be there and appreciate you being there. I could have done without the mosh pit, but that's the price you pay sometimes to get close to the stage I guess. A Social Distortion cover thrown in there would have been a good touch.

Overall the show was awesome but I'm still figuring out how HIM ended up in this line up. The rest of the bands killed it and put on a great show but HIM was a hard pill to swallow and they played almost a 45 minute set which by a certain point people were getting pissed and yelling at them to get off the stage. I would definitely recommend the show though.

The show was overall very amazing. I attended the Greensboro Avenue for HIM, and yet for all acts, I had a great time. Yes, there was an obvious bias for Volbeat and thus some fans did have a snobbish attitude against those there for any other band, but regardless the bands were fantastic and really, fans should never be the judgement of the actual bands. Airbourne, unfortunately, did not play at our event. I do not remember there being a public announcement of this, but hopefully Airbourne fans were alerted somehow. All That Remains had wonderful crowd energy, though when speaking with fans who were more familiar with their music than I, there was heavy suspect of lip-syncing. True or not, they had good energy and showmanship. Volbeat similarly played very well with their audience, and their sound was encompassing; I can see why it has such a big following. HIM played second to last - their place as one of the headliners (Fifteen songs). And while I wouldn't have put them in the same crowd as these other guys, they did spectacularly anyway. Most of the crowd was singing along to every single song, and anyone sporting a heartagram - and even those who weren't - were smiling the entire time and jumping around. Expect crowd surfing. The vocals were amazing, the solos were fantastic, and overall, it was well worth EVERYTHING to see them. I recommend the event to anyone and everyone.

Volbeat is my wife's favorite these days, so I got her tickets as a birthday present. She loved it! They did put up a great show. They seem to enjoy themselves being on stage. The venue was small and it sure didn't look sold out, but it did not stop the band from giving their best. The crowed seemed a little flat to start, but came alive thanks to "Pastor" Michael's gospels. All That Remains and HIM seemed to have plenty of fans in attendance. ATR had good energy and crowd interaction and are a more typical metal band. HIM I find hard to label as they seemed all over the place. At one point they even sounded like DIO to me - screaming guitar over a keyboard tapestry. Where was Airborne??? My rock/metal roots are mostly in the 80's and I'd loved to witnessed their modern twist on it.

Went to this show for All That Remains and Volbeat. First time seeing ATR, they were killer, the bassist was stellar and I loved the guttural, didn't realize it was from her until saw them live. It was my sixth time seeing Volbeat, this was the best show, they played all my favs and I was second from front. To top it off I got a pick that was killer in and of itself. Great show had a BLAST!

Wow is what comes to mind at first. I had never really been familiar with Him or Rise Against This but enjoyed both of them with their unique music. Airbourne rocked the house and Volbeat took the show and blew me away. Moshing in the pit was crazy. Got to 4th row during Volbeat. Rock Allegiance Tour did a fabulous event, rock on!!

This is by far one of my favorite bands, so when I foudn out that they were playing jsut days after my birthday weekend in Vegas, I convinced a frined to stay 2 extra nights, so that we can see them live. This was my 4th or 5th time seeing them and as great as ever. I was disappointed with the lack of security not doing antyhing aboutt he MOSHing on the main floor. I do understand it is a heavier Rock concert, but it took away focus from me enjoying the show 100% due to the 20-30 people that decided to get violent and obnoxious!!! HIM, All that Remains, and Airbourne were great, as well!

This is a nice venue to go to a concert. Ventilation was awesome and even with all the energy in there, it didn't get hot and sweltering. Volbeat is absolutely awesome to see live, however Him is horrible and played too long.
